Atlas Hotel - Amsterdam

I have used several hotels around the world and always hotels that are not in the most expensive league, but Hotel Atlas in Amsterdam is the worst ever: A party of 4 was given two rooms in the basement overlooking a dull courtyard. The rooms were very small, poorly furnished and badly cleaned. The tapestry was even falling off the walls. We were not […] satisfied and although the very young receptionist promised to convey our complaint to the manager nothing happened. Breakfast, which could only be eaten in a very small room barely large enough to all the quests, was lousy; dull toast bread (toaster available), a small variation of spreads, sliced cheese and meat, hardboiled eggs, some yoghurt with cereal and coffee/tea. Not exactly what we are used to in hotels with the same room price. I have experienced very much higher standard of both rooms, breakfast and service to lower prices in other parts of the world – even New York , Stockholm and Copenhagen. All in all we would say that the standard of this hotel was more fitting a small youth hostel than a 3-star hotel and we cannot recommend it to any other visitors. Devamı

Start with the plus points; the staff are very friendly, speak good English and always happy to help with requests, the room is very large and the location is not far from the tourist sites and easy to get to by foot. On the negative, the room appeared to be unclean with smears of blood on the shower curtain and unclean towels.

Overall a very nice hotel. The room was a bit on the small side with little room to manover around the bed. The bath / showere was blocked. and the phone did not work. However, the location and general feel to the hotel was very nice.

I went on a trip recently to france , belgium and holand. the 1st 2 hotels were ok. the third one which is the most expensive one, Atlas hotel in amsterdam was a disaster. its not even a hotel,

You may have read a few negative comments but judging from my recent stay you'd find it hard to find service, location and facilities at a similar price anywhere else in Dam. There was a young lady at the reception desk , name beginning with R, totally friendly and completely knowledgeable. Helped us with train details, baggage storage, things to do, […] bike hire - just superb. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, its not the Ritz but considering the little time we spent in the room it was a great place to rest and recouperate. The hotel bike hire costs a euro or two more that some places but its worth it as you dont have to walk back to your hotel. The area is lovely, architecture beautiful, the park is right round the corner and a nice walk into town. If you need a place bang in the heart of the action then this is not quite for you. If you like to walk or dont mind catching a very nearby tram, minutes away from the centre then this is for you. If youre taking your other half to Dam and youre on a budget then this place isnt too bad. All in all a decent place to stay. Devamı

Je ne retournerais pas dans cet hôtel, décoration très vieille, lit très inconfortable, petit déjeuner peu généreux.

Hotelli on lähellä museoaluetta ja Vondel Parkin vieressä. Ratikkapysäkki on ihan vieressä. Äänieristys on surkea: naapurihuoneen vessan äänet kuului huoneeseen yhtä hyvin kuin oman vessan äänet. Käytävällä haisi home, mutta huoneemme kellarikerroksessa oli raikas ja meillä oli oma ovi terassille. Aamupala oli keskinkertainen ja aamiaishuone todella […] pieni. Aamupalaa oli tarjolla vain klo 8-9.30 mikä oli tylsää kun aamulla oli pakko herätä aikaisin, näin lomalaisen näkökulmasta. Devamı

Ett bra hotell som ligger fint och lugnt men som behöver lite översyn av detaljer: skitiga gardiner på väg ner, dåligt med byte av lakan och bäddning, öppna fönster trots att rummet var tomt.

De kamer is mager te noemen en het ontbijt is in een te kleine ruimte. De omgeving is goed, dichtbij de tram en in een mooie buurt. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Glimrende mellemklasse med glimrende beliggenhed tæt på Museumsplein og alligevel i hyggeligt og roligt kvarter. Vi kunne gå til alting. Værelset var ikke stort men vi skulle kun bruge det til at sove. Morgenmadsbuffet ok, men de var ikke så hurtige til at fylde op. Alt i alt en glimrende oplevelse, hvis man er på en forlænget weekend eller lign. og […] skal indsnuse atmosfæren i byen. Devamı

Das Hotel ist in Ordnung. Unser Zimmer war extrem klein. Zum Badezimmer benötigten wir eine steile Treppe. Die Ausstattung im Badezimmer war dürftig. Keine Duschvorlage, kein Softpapier, eine mittelgrosses Handtuch. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend.

Vi var meget imponerede over det lille hotel. Den gode morgenmadsbuffet var inkluderet og ligeledes var internettet - det er tilsyneladende ikke standard i Holland. Vi kan varmt anbefale stedet og da vi ikke kunne blive længere, kommer vi måske tilbage i stedet for!

La habitación es pequeña pero está limpia. Nos cambiaron las toallas todos los días.

Cet hotel est trop cher pour ses qualitees de services, il y a une incompréhension entre les membres du personnel qui nous a valu une polémique au Pti dej, auquel il n y a pas de place pour s asseoir... Une moquette au sol Qu on n avait plus vu depuis dix and dans les hôtels peut être pour des raisons d Hygiène!! Sans oublier la salle de bain glauque […] ou l hotel vous fourni des linges de bain De dimension similaires a celle d un gant de toilette, et attention c et un par personne pas plus.... non pas satisfaite du tout et pour le prix auquel il était annonce, pour un week end en amoureux je m attendais a mieux. Personale gentile e disponibile. servizio wi fi ok . ambiente interno e esterno tranquillo. spazio ristretto per la colazione e camere un po piccoline. nell'insieme si puo dire che è consigliabile a coppie e adulti. vicino ad un parco meraviglioso e distensivo. a piedi si puo raggiungere tranquillamente tutti i luoghi più importanti della citta. vicinissimo […] alla fermata del tram. Pieni mukava hotelli puiston laidalla kohtuullisella aamupalalla. Jos ei kaipaa luksusta niin voi suositella.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Not in the very centre of the city but just a short tram trip away. Quiet and calm area.

Het hotel is prima, maar de ontbijtruimte is erg krap en het ontbijt is niet zo erg uitgebreid als gesuggereerd wordt.

super beliggenhed lige ved parken og museumskvarteret. 10 minutters gang fra centrum kan kun anbefales. Værelset var lille men vi vidste at det blot skulle bruges til overnatning.

Hyggeligt og charmerende hotel med god stemning og meget venlig betjening. Beliggenheden var fint. Lige ved en lille plads med cafeer og tæt på centrum. Og så er der den dejlige Vondelpark, hvor vi løb en morgentur hver dag. Værelset var lidt lille og badeværelset lidt slidt. Men alt var pænt og rent, så det gjorde ikke noget.

L'hotel è situato proprio vicino a una delle entrate del Parco. Al nostro arrivo il ragazzo alla reception si è mostrato molto gentile e disponibile. Ci è stato assagnata una camera matrimoniale, come da noi richiesto, al pian terreno(rialzato) la 119. La camera era un po' piccola ma comunque funzionale. L'unica presa d'aria era l'aspiratore in bagno, […] la camera aveva le finestre bloccate, forse perchè era situata al pian terreno. Hotellet ligger svært hyggelig til rett ved trikkeholdeplassen og Vondelpark.Hotellet er et lite hus og ikke for stort.Lite og intimt og vi ble svært godt tatt imot av resepsjonisten.Han fortalte oss tilbudene Amsterdam byr på og om hotellet,veldig koselig. Det var alltid redde opp på senga da man kom hjem fra byturen.Rimelig og helt grei frokostbuffe.Veldig […] greit med beliggenhet rett ved parken og trikken som nevnt tidligere.Heis og trapp alt ettersom.Det eneste å si noe på var vell at det var litt lytt der, men det overlever man Devamı
