I enjoyed my all too short stay in this beautiful hotel I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Santa Barbara. Our room was overlooking the ocean and was well stocked with anything we needed!

We were only there for a night, but were impressed. The room was larger than expected, had everything we needed and the location was ideal-we parked our car and walked everywhere-

The hotel itself was wonderful and a great location with clean and friendly service. We booked this hotel so our son could visit SBCC to take a test and tour the campus. I booked on line and entered the ages of our 2 children to receive our rate. When we checked in at the hotel however I was told that my 17 yr old son would be charged as an extra adult. […] Most hotels consider 18+ to be adult. This fee should have been included in our contract so we could decide if the hotel was within our budget but it was not. The other thing to watch out for is charges for poolside service. They charge both a trip charge and add the gratuity in to the bill. Unfortunately I added a tip before realizing this. Devamı

Easy parking, comfortable room (we paid for an upgrade). Fantastic access to beach and State St. shopping. Couldn't have asked for more.

Went for one night for our anniversary. It was within walking distance from the train station, State Street, beach across the street. Great location! All of the employees were very nice and professional. They held our bags for us once we arrived and after we had checked out. Our room included a 10% coupon for the restaurant downstairs. YUMMY! Liked the location, the ocean view and comfortable room. Megan at the front desk was very nice & helpful. Would have liked it more if the refreshment bar by the pool were open everyday and if parking were free - - there's a $10 daily fee which was not published on the hotels.com website.

I've stayed at many hotels in Santa Barbara/Montecito and the Harbor View Inn is one I would definitely go back to. I was there for a just a quick visit and did not take advantage of many of the hotel's feature (e.g. the pool, restaurant), so I cannot comment about those. The bed was wonderful, very comfortable, excellent. I am a stickler for having […] a quiet room. I requested that and they were happy to oblige. The room was on the second floor and fairly close to Cabrillo, but there was no noise. The front desk people were professional and pleasant. The only minor complaint I would have is the parking. I had to park in their remote lot at 11:45 p.m. But, I was impressed by their very professional security guard who met me as I drove into the hotel entrance and offerred to escort me to the remote lot and back to my room in the main hotel. The situation could not have been handled better. The hotel is in a safe area, but given the late hour, the extra measure of safety was much appreciated. He also told me that he patrolled the remote lot regularly throughout the night. The hotel is in a great location for visiting Santa Barbara sites, especially the beach, harbor, State Street area shopping and restaurants. Would highly recommend it. Devamı

Will stay there again!

Our room over looked the entire coastline. We LOVED it. Room service was great and the food was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were guests of the Harbor View Hotel in the early nineties. We thought it was terrific then. Except for the missing Wine and Cheese every afternoon, the look and ambiance of the facility was greatly improved.We would look forward to returning again, but for a longer stay. The background: I was looking for a perfect hotel for a quick getaway with my girlfriend that was driving distance from LA. The Harbor View was a great balance of location, price and amenities (comfortable/nice). The experience: As we arrived, it was immediately evident that the location was perfect. Right by the pier, walking distance to an art show […] on the beach, walking distance to shops/restaurants on State St. We paid the small fee for an upgrade to an ocean view king suite - well worth it. We could see the beach/ocean from our personal balcony. Fee included, the room was still a reasonable price. It was super clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful for the two of us, both unfamiliar with the town. Every recommendation was spot on. After only one time there, I am sure it is our go-to hotel for SB. This was a great choice, loved it immensely. We went for a mother daughter weekend in january and it was quiet and super weather. Great pool and courtyard, exquisetly maintained and manicured. Plush landscaping. Super deluxed queen ocean view room. We hope to go back yearly....something to look forward to!!!

we got an ocean view at this hotel, but it wasn't that great. it is quite far, and a lot of trees sort of cover the view. the price we paid, i think we could get a decent 3 star hotel that is comparable to this one but a lot cheaper. the ocean view wasn't that great because the hotel only has 3 floors and it is far away. Good stay in a clean well decorated room. Grounds.were nice and there restaurant was ok. They have a book in the lobby full of places to eat and visit. We were looking for a place to east our first day and front desk left me on hold for over five minutes, could have just told me about the book if they were busy checking in. good place to stay and a […] would again. This hotel is in a wonderful location in downtown Santa Barbara! It is conviently located across from the beach and the Santa Barbara Pier! There are cute, little trams to take you to the shopping and restaurants along State Street in downtown too! In addition to the great location, the rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and well maintained. […] The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Great location

Having read a number of reviews that the Harbor View Inn was run down but in a great location, my expectations were for great nearby activities only. My fiancee and I were delighted when we got to our room to find a newly-renovated enormous suite with soaking tub, granite shower, mosaic tiles, fresh furniture, carpets, drapes, and bedding... in short, […] more than the comforts of home! The halls had likewise just been freshened and the staff was extremely friendly. This was an excellent value (parking and internet were included!) and you cannot beat this location in Santa Barbara. The Inn looks a bit outdated for a 4 stars on the exterior, but overall it's a very clean place to stay at. The bedroom furniture was modern and bed was again, clean and comfortable. The first floor was only available for partial ocean view but it was well worth it. Like other reviewers said, a definitely plus to get the ocean view rooms. Overall the […] bathroom and bed was spot and tidy. There's also a computer room with printer/fax for those business people on the go. I just had a small squeaking issue with the noise from upstairs/ceiling as it comes and goes. I don't know if it was the A/C or people upstairs were moving about. My parents and I stayed at the Harbor View Inn after another online site messed up our reservations at an alternate "big", "5-star" resort hotel and wouldn't honor the original booking price. Used hotels.com and found this excellent, charming and convenient hotel, just as luxurious and with an even better location right across from the SB wharf! Check […] in staff was very courteous, offered an upgrade to an ocean view room at a reasonable price (which we declined), but then switched us to a handicap suite when I asked if a shower chair was available and that I hadn't added the handicap request on the reservation. The room was extremely well appointed and the bath accommodations were superb (even had Grohe fixtures). Food in the attached restaurant was excellent, starting with lunch and we were served by Steve the food and beverage manager because of a unplanned absence in the staff (it was Christmas weekend). Most impressive was that after we paid the bill, Steve chased us down outside the restaurant and said that my mother had overpaid the bill (she had paid it twice after receiving change for a large demonination bill). We returned for dinner that night and were very satisfied with quality, taste and value. The Inn also has an attached coffee/espresso shop that makes good beverages and any hotel guest receives a card good for a 20% discount at both the restaurant and the espresso cafe. The hotel is probably the the MOST convenient location in SB! Two blocks from the Amtrak train station, on the corner of State St (the main shopping/restaurant street) and Cabrillo (the ocean front drive) and within one to two blocks of several SB wine tasting shops. We especially enjoyed our visit to the Oreana winery and marketplace. The night was quiet and comfortable with the room temperature easily adjustable in the room. Loved the hotel, friendly staff, great location to beach and pier.

The best part of our stay was the experience at the Spa on grounds. I had a facial, my granddaughter had a massage and we loved luxuriating in the Spa's jaccuzzi. The beds were extremely comfortable, location was great.

Ocean view room was worth small premium with superb outlook over garden, pool and out to beach, pier and harbour. I travel a lot and have become fussy but cannot think of anything to complain about. Reception and check in were like being met by old friends, staff all really pleasant. We went to famous Sambo's for breakfast on day 1 and it was ordinary. […] Second morning we used the hotel restaurant and food and comfort were superior for same sort of price. This is a great location for a vacation for a few days and even in cool December Santa Barbara is a very pretty location, nice shops and enough to entertain. Fabulous hotel, great service, clean and I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again my next trip next month.

The location is great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recomment this hotel!

this hotel is great. quite literally a stone's throw from the beach and easy access to shopping, it is a delight to stay at. Considering pricer options surrounding it, at inferior quality, this is a no-brainer.

Loved staying here. The room was quiet, large, comfortable. I loved walking outside and being right on the harbor with great places to walk and eat.

we travelled as a family with one child from SFO to LAX and stopped in Santa Barbara for one night, the staff offered us an upgrade to a very nice room with two large beds. The Hotel has a good standard and is well maintained. Breakfast is not included. Location is diectly at the beach.

We stayed here while in Santa Barbara to attend a wedding at the Four Seasons which was just down the road. This is the perfect location - we could walk to most everything! The rooms were quiet and the staff was great. Would definitely stay here again.

We found this hotel to be a lovely place to stay in a very good location

Very nice property and friendly people and great location. Will definitely return.
