Very good experience overall. The only thing is that we booked a king bed and we had a room with two double queen.

The food was good.. however I upgraded to the black band, so that I can have more dining options and it was a good move since the outside restaurants are a bit expensive. The food choices were kind of limitted, however if your only there for a week it should be ok! A good thing about the Restaurantes were that reservations were not required. The customer service at this hotel is DISGUSTING! I have never experienced such poor service. They would not accept the Expedia Credit Voucher which came with the hotel booking. They were rude and it took 4 hours for us to check-in with no voucher in the end. Marlene was very unhelpful and at one stage threw the papers on the table and stormed off. […] The reception staff then continued to ignore us for the rest of the stay and served everyone around me and asked people behind me to come forward to be served when they could clearly see I was next in line. Everyone we spoke to commented about how hard check in was and how difficult the staff were, and that the customer service in general was very poor. Other people who booked with Expedia for the free $300 resort credit voucher were also told it was invalid and they would not accept it. Other people dealing with reception were also treated poorly and the staff were rude. The staff would disappear to the back room for 5 - 10 minutes at a time and the other staff would have no information on what was going on and just blow us off or avoid eye contact. I will also add that during the whole check in process we were very nice and calm and reasonable and did not deserve to be treated so badly. Some people complain at the slightest things and I am not one of them, but having stayed at budget hotels, hostels, and expensive hotels, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. It's true, the food isn't the greatest, but it's good enough to get by when you're consuming large amounts of alcohol. We met other groups that booked VIP and they said it wasn't worth it. The pool for the VIP section was "boring" since it's secluded from the rest of the hotel. It's gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but no one hangs out there b/c they're […] over where the action is: the pool & beach. However, the VIP rooms are a lot nicer w/better amenities and the other restaurants (namely the Italian resto) were better than the standard all-access guest options. This is a great hotel w/plenty of activities for groups of friends traveling together. I don't recommend it for couples if you're looking for "quiet/romance". The music is on all day long, there are loads of games (booty shaking, dry humping, etc) hosted by the entertainment staff. If you're looking for an adult version of "spring break" this is the hotel for you. My complaints: -- the lack of amenities that all other all-inclusive hotels have offered in the past 1) you have to buy bottled water either through room service or the front desk as the bars and restos do not sell them or offer them 2) the fridge in the room is not stocked with juices, sodas, waters 3) the bars close at 1am 4) lack of options for dinner (either buffet or Mexican (where service was supremely slow)) 5) the lack of service on the beach - you have to get up constantly to get a drink. Adults only is inaccurate, there were children at this hotel. The voucher provided by expedia for a three hundred dollar resort credit was refused at the front desk. They stated the resort had stopped accepting the voucher in december. The room we were given did not have a refrigerator which I need for a medication I take daily. When we complained we […] were told they would change our room the following day. The next day that could not be done so they provided a refrigerator that could not have cooled a glass of water much less maintain the correct temperature for medication. This next section is copied directly from their website, {Amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge), flat-panel television with cable channels and pay movies, in-room safe, mini bar, complimentary bottled water, and coffee/tea maker. } We had a tv but no information provided on stations or pay movies, safe cost $6 usd per day, no bottled water and obviously no mini-bar. After an end run around the front desk we got a functioning coffee maker. The hotel's answer to these short comings was " it is not in the contract". Yet there it is on their website. Nice hotel, only disappointing thing was; when we booked we were given a 300.00 resort credit, what your not told is the credits are broken up to different things and it's in pesos. Firstly the didn't give me the King Bed room I booked. The bathroom had a constant sewer smell emmiting all the time. The safe, in the closet was a joke. The bar in the lobby was also a joke, very understaffed, and inefficient. No menus in the hotel rooms.

Oasis Viva and Oasis Grand look to be on the same Hotel property with different color bands.Upgrade to the Grand and this gives you more dinning & bar options with room service not valid at Viva Oasis We stayed on the 8th floor and had a balcony which was great the a/c did not blow the coldest air but give it time it does work.Some rooms had sliding […] windows instead of balcony's which I found strange but I think this made the rooms bigger.Opt for the balcony.Safe key is around $5.00 / day.Beach was great yes there are rocks but who cares walk around the water is for wading, playing waist deep at the buoy ropes.Staff great service from check in to departure.We took one hundred dollars in ones and from the bell boys to check out we had the best service.Stayed mostly by the Grand pool cold but deep the Viva side had the action such as games.I think the music started at 10am.The resort is more for the older crowd 30-60 you can get as wild or chill as much as you like.I think the Grand is going all adult which is awesome.Viva is all adult. Small hot elevators,but you are not in for long and they are fast and clean.Mini bar in room to restock call room service NOT maid service. Remember they have to account for the beer and are escorted to the room with management to verify.No liquor in mini bar only beer, coke, sprite, and water.No Minibar with Viva.The shows I give an A for effort.They really try to entertain the guests. 8:30 pm so grab a drink and go watch the fire show. My purchase and reservation was for a room with a king size, however on arrival they had no such rooms available. The front desk manager I argued that this was not what I had sold, was only a request and the hotel is not required to comply with these requirements. Very bad.

we had wonderful vacation. check in time was 3 pm but we checked in as soon as we arrived from the airport at 2pm. The hotel is located 35 min away from airport but transportation is well organized. the last day we left at 11 am and still got almost 2 hours at the beach. This is a fine property. Clean and attentive, the Oasis Viva sits facing the caribbean sea. all rooms are apportioned so every room gets a grand view of the Caribbean. The food, bar, pool area, live entertainment and ammenities are the best i've experienced in Cancun (5th visit). I did not read the comments before I booked the hotel. Which was a big mistake, the comments are all right on for this hotel. Its not horrible, its got a great ocean view and access. But there is nothing special about it at all. You have to be a VIP which is an extra couple hundred for a couple, otherwise your stuck with one buffet the whole time. None […] of the staff speaks english at all which is fustrating. I understand we are in MX but a basic knowledge of English would have been nice. They hassled us the minute we walked in about doing this time share breakfast. Overall, this hotel is great for someone trying to save money and wants to go out everynight. Good hotel. I did not like the fact that they show several restaurants and give you a rate and then when you arrive they tell you that you need to pay extra to go into other restaurants. You can survive with the "standar" restaurants. Food is OK... The wine is terrible... But the beer and alcoholic drinks are quite good...

Bus stop in front of the hotel, and very short distance from the entrance to the hotel which is convinient considering the heat. Also, the moment you enter the hotel you see the beach. It was a nice stay. However the beach was very small and crowded. The entertainment was fun, they had something very nice. If you don't upgrade to grand, you basically only have a buffet to eat from and a very small mexican style restaurant. It's not a family stay but it's nice for couples and singles.

Ok this is not an adult only hotel, you are only allowed to eat at 2 restaurants not at all 5 restaurants which were restricted, there are no water activities at motel (windsurfing, kayaking, sailing maybe down the beach I could not see), the exercise room is a complete joke (no free weights to speek of, bent bar, multiple weight lifting machine that […] no stations worked on, one tread mill out of two workd, two old stationary bicycles that you tighten down a bar on the wheel for friction no electronics), no table tennis, no volleyball. The hotel has very friendly staff, good location. The beach was just out of the loby that was great. The food had no much of varaity but was ok. Bus stop just out of the hotel if you want to go downtown. All the rooms facing the ocean so its nice - ocean view and sunset at the beach.

The staff here is amazing. Everyone spoke English and the service was quick and friendly. Also downtown and the clubs are just a quick 10 minute walk away. For the price you pay it is worth it. The beach is nice also. Drinks were tasty.

This is a inexpensive Hotel,it has a beautiful beach, it has "all inclusive", the food was ok, not excelent, but ok. A lot of things have extra charge: if you want to use the safe box in your room, it's extra. there is not iron in the room, so, if you need to iron anything, its extra, if you want a natural coconut, is extra, local phone calls extra, […] wi fi, extra, a good wine EXTRA $$$ I'll like to suggest to have smoking and non smoking area at the beach, a lot of smokers there.. agghh..instead of smell the ocean breazee, I got the smell of stinky cigarrets.. agghh.. the elevator was broken twice.. Here are the facts about this hotel: ROOM – Shower water has a very bad smell. Every time we turned the shower, there was black or dark yellow water before the water was clear. One night we couldn't even stay in the room because the water smelled so bad. Contacting the front desk was no help. They said it was their treatment of the water. Yeah Right! It smelled like mud or rotten fish. It wasn't us a lot of people experienced the same thing in there room. There was a leak from the ceiling in our room. Calling the front desk for assistance was no luck. We were lucky if they answered the call. One section of the hotel is for VIP only. We couldn’t even use elevator in that section. The hotel was superb with great facilities and the location was perfect. All the restaurants and bars and private beach make it a place you dont want to leave. Hotel and All-Inclusive: The title Adults only is a joke. This is NOT an adults only resort. There were more kids than in a family restaurant. The All-inclusive package is not really all-inclusive, its a trick. The package doesnt include 1 bar and 1 restaurant which is reserved for a Grand package, but no where in expedia it mentions that you are not […] paying for that. The other 2 advertised as "restaurants" are just snack / fast food corners. Also - all inclusive package doesn't include drinking water in your room - the tap water is NOT FIT FOR Drinking. The restaurants' menu is very limited. There is only 1 buffet - La Fuente which has pretty much the same menu every day. The Sushi's quality is very pedestrian. Rooms, maintenance and service: The rooms stink. We booked a room King Size and they gave us two queen bed room. And we spoke to other couple who had the same experience. They don't even care, they make you wait for hours before they give you a new room - without apologizing. The maintenance is non-existent. Second day of stay our shower was spewing red water.We called the maintenance and no one ever showed up. The rooms are not sound proof. The name states that its Adults only but there were children everywhere! Also the restaurants closed early so u couldnt order food or drinks past 10pm. Certain areas were closed off as VIP access so it became confusing as to what was included and what wasn't. Overall I felt a bit ripped off.

If you are easy going and you want a lot of bang for your buck I think you will be very happy with this hotel. If you are uptight and demand 5 star ratings then you might be a little grumpy. I was very happy with the staff and the food and drinks all day. The only downsides were: 1) No swimming in the pool after 8pm. Did not know this going in. 2) […] The extra throw pillows on the bed were smelly. I just threw them on the floor each day but the maid kept putting them back on. No big deal right? The main pillows and everything else was clean. 3) The hot water stopped working the 3rd day. After an hour of the maintance man running the faucets it came back. 4) There was no water bottle service to the room- unless I wanted to pay $30 extra. Crazy so I had to buy water at the store. $2 a bottle for a 20 oz. Ok so that worked out. Besides these little things I had a great time. The weather was great. the food was from 6:30 am til 10:30 pm and it was great with all the variety you want. and the price was the best part! I was very disappointed with the hotel. We had to switch rooms twice and was finally given a better room but only because i paid for an upgrade. Our bed sheets and towels were not changed and the bathtub was not cleaned properly. Each time we turned on the water to take a shower the water came out black. I complained twice and each time we were told […] someone was coming to check the pipes. It was evident they had no intention of dealing with the problem. We had to constanly go to the lobby until we spoke to the manager. The hotel is divided into two buildings. One that is very nice and the other one that is falling apart. The beach had an foul smell. This place was horrible! No A/C after switching rooms 3 times, still the AC wasnt working right! The floors are VERY SLIPPERY!! The hotel is definitely a 3 star hotel according to U.S. standards. The staff did not seem to go out of their way to ask if you needed anything, in fact some of the staff seemed pretty lazy. The room television did not have good reception which was disappointing considering that the Olympics were on during our stay. The hotel uses some bizarre category status that determines whether or not you have a remodeled room with a mini fridge and 24 hour room service. All other categories do not have mini fridges which definitely seems to eliminate the "all-inclusive" aspect that you would normally get at other resorts. The pool area seemed a little small for the amount of guests that stay at the hotel. The kiddie pool was nice and the perfect depth for 1 year olds on up.
