Staff was delightful and most helpful. Our room was very comfortable for the money, but could have used some maintenance on some little things...cupboard door hinge, leaky faucet. Loved the entire staff and stay.

A comfortable place to stay a couple of blocks from downtown Waikiki. I only stayed one night but would certainly consider White Sands if I were going to stay several days as well.

The hotel is old, but the room was comfortable. Price was high for the condition, plus they charge me $25 per night to park my truck in a place too small to get in out of without a second person directing you(so you don't hit someone's vehicle)

This hotel is cheap, but worth the stay! The front desk was so friendly & exceptionally helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to market, shopping, restaurants. The rooms are a little paper thin (hear neighbors & street noise), but clean & comfortable. We will stay here again.

We found this to be a very good hotel for the price. It had a decent hot tub and pool but we were more interested in the location, an easy five minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The room was an upgrade and had an extra bed in an extra room that we didn't use. The coffee maker and kitchenette would have been of greater use if we had been staying longer but […] it's definitely a nice feature. If you are looking for a place to rest your head at a decent price with a pleasant and helpful staff, White Sands is a good choice. Nice hotel-staff is great-friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are comfortable and convenient with the kitchenettes. Adequate storage and kitchen utensils. Pool area is very nice, complete with fountain and hot tub. I couldn't answer the above questions because on the White Sands Hotel and wanted to give it N/A, but that was not one of the choices. We were given good new and bad news when we got to the hotel. The bad news was that the White Sands Hotel couldn't accomodate us and the good news was they sent us to another Hotel (Aqua Palm) instead. They provided […] breakfast vouchers and took care of the parking fees. Motel 6 would have more to offer then this hotel. It is way over priced . The rooms dont look like the pictures. Very primitive, no phone service in the rooms nor is there internet service you have to go 3 blocks away to starkbucks or another hotel to have internet service. My wife and I spent 10 days here in mid January 2012. The place has a retro ambiance (quite dated) but the staff were exceptionally friendly and the place was clean. We were surprised how much we enjoyed our stay in spite of the modest star rating.

Wonderful location EZ to visit all hotels for entertain- ment/food; the International Mkt place, the beach line of Waikiki activities. EZ buses to anywhere you want to go. We had a wonderful trip to HAWAII and a nice place to come back to nite/day; a kitchen, and an inviting pleasant room. Mahalos,

Let me start by saying we are the most easy going travelers and never complain but felt compelled in this instance, the beds (tiny twins?) were awful and not the queen we booked. It did have a small sink , fridge and burner which were nice. The funniest part was the "City View" which meant a wall 6 ft away and no view at all. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE HOTEL. THE FUNITURE IS OLD, BUT IT'S OK. THE COURT YARD IS NICE WITH A POOL AND HOT TUD AND PLAM TRESS. THE STAFF IS THE BEST, VERY HELPFUL AND ALWAYS SMILLING. FRONT DESK STAFF, GO OTHER THERE WAY TO HELP YOU. I'M GOING BACK.

great staff and location but needs lots of up grades

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We learned that it was recently taken over from a time-share company, and that reneovations were underway. The place was very clean and bug free in every way. The staff bent over backwards to help us enjoy the stay and enough good can't be said about them.

This is cute hotel, giving the feel of old Waikiki. But it is a bit run-down, especially in the bathroom. The vinyl flooring is worn and stained, the cabinets were frayed. But the room was basically just a place to sleep, so it was okay overall

Nice hotel, however, located in an area that I would not be comfortable walking around at night. Location is great for nearby attractions such as the International Marketplace. The appliances are older but, well maintained and functioned properly. Major disappointment was no phone in the room and only one complimentary coffee set up per visit. Additional […] coffee set ups were available for purchase. But, at $ per day charged I could not imagine this being provided. The staff were wonderful. They were very friendly and responded immediately to any request. They were extremely helpful in directions to destinations. We were very disappointed in the new owners of White Sands. We have been staying at this hotel for 32 years...over the last 10 years we have witnessed the furniture and hall carpets deteriorate! It becsame evident the former owners were not going to do anything about it as their lease was running out. When we found out the hotel had been re-opened, […] we were very excited to be able to go back to our Hawaiian home away from home but, alas, it was nto to be. This is a classic 3 story walk up. Great location, Great price. There are time shares in this place. Parking lot is very small.

This hotel was okay for our budget holiday in Oahu. Can't beat the price for location and a pretty good pool. Booked the cheapest room and had a view of a wall but that's the way it goes for budget in Waikiki. Kitchenette was a bonus but could of used a better cleaning, room was good size, 26" tv, ice maker and laundry in lobby. Wifi in lobby and at […] pool and maybe in some pool view rooms. Easy walking distance to most things in Waikiki and there are some cheaper restaurant close by, the busiest nightclubs are 2 blocks away. We paid $18 a day for parking and the lot was full on the weekend, never saw any empty street parking stalls in five days so best to reserve a spot. Overall a good stay but we new not to expect anything special. If you have never stayed in a budget hotel before you might be disappointed but I feel it is one of best deals in Waikiki. Devamı

Besides being not too far from the beach, the hotel is awful. Things were stolen from the room. Would never recommend it to anyone.

the pool and desk staff was very nice.our beds in our room had super old mattresses, i even bought a foam pad for mine, couldn't sleep without it. at least 2 times, i came back to my room to find it ajar, housekeeping had not shut it tight, I always pull on a door till I hear a click. I was upset, my privacy. I reported this the 2nd time.I fell in their […] laundry room and got a huge bruise on my left arm, i fell on water on the floor. The soils in the mattress were poking through the fabric and there was no padding at all in the mattress. Several outlets in the room didn't work. The room smelled of smoke and just seemed not very clean.

the hotel staff did not bat an eyelash when we came in with 3 luggage dollies loaded to the top. we had rented 2 rooms for 10 people but I checked in first with all the luggage. OH MY that was a lot of luggage. we had been in Hawaii for 9 weeks at a camp so lots of luggage. They also helped haul it upstairs.

This hotel was not satisfactory......the bedspread had a blood stain and dead cockroach under it. there was also no parking.

this quaint hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki and I found it one of the best stays yet!! No frills, no hussle, plenty class!!! I just wanted to have some time to myself and without any of the modern-modern frills and I got it! the staff were pleasant and soooo accomodating and helpful....Awesome place to hand out....while being a hop, skip and […] jump away from the beach and everything else.. We booked hotel at the last minute for one night. Arrived at eight pm, last room two twins we wanted a double , we put the mattresses on the pull out couch together. Old 1950's three story hotel surrounded by high-rises . The floors to the halls have not been vacuumed in awhile. Kids hanging out in the hallways. In the end the carpet and paint were […] fresh in the room, the location as very close to maim Waikiki, car rental available across the street . The hotel room was cheap. You get what you pay for. Uncomfortbale bed and very old building. I was hesitant to take a shower. We only stayed there for one night and I can't imagine staying there longer. Good location- in the middle of the Waikiki strip. Stay here if you need a cheap, convenient hotel- not if you want a room to relax in.

This has be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like pee. I tried to mask the smell with air freshener but you could still smell it. I thought it was just my room but friends of mine who stayed to the rooms next to mine also smelled the same. Everything needs an update especially the old green dirty carpet that I dare not step on […] without my slippers on. La description par Expédia était trompeuse car toutes les chambres n'ont pas de cuisinette et nous n'en avions pas le 1er soir. Il nous a fallu insister et demander a voir le gérant pour qu'il reconnaisse le fait et nous donne un cuisinette sans augmentation de prix. Mais cette 2e chambre n'avait pas les 2e lits requis mais un seul + sofa-lit inconfortable […] er il n'y avait rien d'autre ce jour là. Là 3e chambre le 3e soir répondait à nos attentes si on fait exception de 2 choses: cuisine extrêmement petite mais ok pour 2 personnes habituées au camping... et inondation le 1er soir suite à un bris de tuyau de cuisine et bris du micro-ondes avant le souper les dernier soir. 以前このホテルのそばのレジデンスに住んでいた為 私にはすっごく便利でした 食事制限があるためキッチンが必要だった事と ネットが使えると書いてあったのでここに決めました が、行ったらネットは使えずアイランドコロニーのロビーに行かされました。。。 レビューに使えると書いてあるんですが・・・ ホテルは古いです、隣の部屋の音はまるぎこえで夜はうるさかったです ただ私は寝れれば良かったし音もうるさくても一瞬起きてもそのまま寝ていた為、まぁ大丈夫でした。 3日間位隣の住人が朝っぱらから大きな音でテレビを見ていて眠れなかったですが。。。 10泊したんですが1回もシーツを交換してくれなかったのが嫌でしたね・・・ 私は又利用したいですね(*'▽'*)♪

ハワイアナに似た雰囲気だったので18泊しました。低料金なので日本語は通じませんがスタッフはとても気持ちよく、立地もよく、ただ難点はお掃除がもう少し丁寧だったら。私はまた利用したいですね。

適合預算有限的年輕人或家庭,房間夠大可加床,開伙.但隔音不佳且蓮蓬頭永遠沖不到想洗的地方.交通方便,但若預算充足,蜜月,建議可以選好一點的飯店,不要被照片給吸引了....

2011年９月に友人と二人、1 bed roomを利用しました。 1 bed roomの間取りがユニークでキングサイズのベッドが分かれた部屋にあるので、友人とまるまる一部屋ずつ使う感じで過ごしました。 広くて安いのはとても良かったのですが、掃除がされていません。前の人が使ったコンタクトレンズがバスルームにずっと落ちていたり、ミニキッチンがあるせいかアリが絶え間なくいてカップ麺がやられました。部屋に砂も落ちてます。 古さは気にならない方ですが、毎日ベッドメイクだけでごまかしてる感じは我慢できません。せめて前の人がチェックアウトしたあと、きちんと掃除をお願いします！ DFSやバス停、フードランドが近く立地がいいですが、夜になると隣のバーに人がたむろします。避けて通りました。

Wir hatten das Hotel im September 2011 gebucht und eine extrem eckelerregendes Zimmer erhalten. Wir wollten bereits eine Storno vornehmen, aber das ist bei diesem Hotel nicht möglich. Es wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer zugewiesen, das nur geringfügig besser war. Beispiel: Geschirr total verschmutzt, Tisch klebrig, Teppich total fleckig und versaut, Zimmerservice […] auf geringem Niveau... einfach allgemein dreckig und schlecht geputzt. Das hat sich auch die nächsten Tage nicht verbessert und wir waren froh, dass Hotel so schnell wie möglich zu verlassen. Hier wird abkassiert und nichts in die Substanz investiert. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass in den letzten 10 Jahren kein Cent oder Euro für Renovierungen oder Modernisierungen ausgegeben wurde. Nur Kakalacken (die wir auch gesehen haben) fühlen sich da wohl. Wir nicht!!!! Devamı
