We had a wonderful stay. The front desk staff was very pleasant. They upgraded our room and brought us a bottle of wine for my friend's birthday (complimentary). We enjoyed the room's amenities as well as the hotel's restaurant. The hotel was spotless and filled with gleam. I look forward to returning in the near future.

Stayed just one night after the hotel was recommended to me by a friend. The suite was spacious and clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I ended up forgetting my watch in the room and the hotel staff was kind enough to look for it, find it, and then send it to me at home. Was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. This seems to be the case with the discount rooms. It is a 4 star hotel but not a four star room. However I love the Raphael. Two things. First the mattress of the bed sagged in the middle. The mattress is the most important element of the stay for me. I need a good night's sleep. Second was the drain stopper in the tub did not work properly.

The Rafael is conveniently locate in the Country Club Plaza area. But what makes the Rafael a truly great hotel is the extraordinary attention that the staff give to the guests. You really feel special there. I stayed overnight with my wife and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable from faxing long documents to helping me with my computer. […] The rooms are elegant with a touch of class. The hotel provides free parking with valet service to boot. I have stayed at the Rafael on several previous ocassions and have had consistently great service. I'm in KC 4-5 times per year for business and always stay at the Raphael. The staff is incredibly friendly and the accommodations are top notch. Barring any unforseen circumstances I'll never stay anywhere else when visting KC.

Enjoyed the staff. Especially Will. It was very special that he and another staff member greeted me by name.

I travel extensively throughout the US and have my favorite hotels in different cites. The W Lake Shore Chicago, The W TImes Square NYC, The 4 Seasons Dallas etc. The Rafael bar none was such an exceptional experience that I would rank it at or above any I have ever had. We have stayed at this hotel from several years and each yeart seems to get better and better. We were greeted with champagne in the lobby upon our arrival which was a pleasant surprise after our drive from Minneapolis. Everything was perfect, the hotel itself and the employees. Only place we like to stay when we come to Kansas City.

Could not have asked for better service after my flights to KC were cancelled and then when I did fly, my bags were lost by the airline. They did everything they could to help minimize my frustration and even upgraded my room.

A top hotel in service, location, decor and comfort! Great restaurant and helpful staff. Near art museums and across from Country Club Plaza, Many restaurants close by. Highly recommend and will stay there again. Ask for Plaza-view room for wonderful night-time views.

There was only one downside. We were woken early in the morning by smokers outside our window. Our room was on the first floor, so our window was right above the fire pit. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Beautiful room, great location, wonderful restaurant and service.

The staff is attentive but a little forgetful. Called down for hangers and never got any (in three days). Room service was way too slow. The front desk was good about calling the room to check to make sure everything was ok. The doormen were fantastic and very professional. The hotel was great! The staff was very attentive, and always helpful. Our room was better than we expected. It was large and clean. We loved the location and the convenience to shopping and dining. We will definitely be staying there again.

We come to Kansas City often, but have never stayed at the Raphael. Now we will never stay anywhere else! The people, location and convenience - nothing else compares - you're the best!!!! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Great room, attentive staff, plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. I will definitely return.

Great place to stay and I will always stay there when I visit Kansas City. The rooms were great, the service even better and it is in an ideal location.

The best bellmen I've ever encountered - great conversationalists!

Brought my wife along and she loved it as she had everything she needed around the hotel while I did my business. She was very happy and that made me happy.

The location of the Raphael Hotel in Kansas City was both convenient and charming...we were in walking distance of everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay very much.

If you are in K.C MO and looking for a great stay you have to visit the Raphael Hotel, it is a wonderful grand old place, with a touch of modern Euro it's location at the Plaza makes it a must stay, The staff was very friendly and helpful, the meals had a good presentation and great taste. After the major renovation a efw years back, this went from an OK hotel, to a fantatsic one. I lived in KC for 8 yeears, but left 5 years ago, and when I go back now, I will only stay here! Great location also.

The staff at Hotel Raphael was wonderful and accommodating! We had quite a bit of stuff to unload because we were moving a college student to a nearby campus and the valet/bellman was wonderful! The front desk associates were all friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful hotel, the rooms aren't huge but, they are very comfortable. The decor is charming […] and unique. I love the neighborhood, will return to this hotel everytime we are in KC to visit! Devamı

This is the best hotel in the Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City. Clean property, wonderful staff, and excellent, comfortable rooms. Food in the resturant was fantastic, live music was a nice touch. Can't wait to return!

Very nice and chic hotel. Better than we expected. Great and safe location. Complimentary valet is very nice.

The Raphael is a luxurious, yet friendly spot on KC's Country Club Plaza. We stayed here for a wedding being held across the street at the Intercontinental, and we're glad we did. We were greeted by a string quartet playing gently outside the entrance, and once inside, found ourselves in a well apportioned lobby in authentic 20's style, to match the […] hotel's representative architecture. The rooms are plush and oh so comfortable, if a bit small - but it all fits the calm, pleasant atmosphere. You can easily walk to restaurants, shopping or even a movie on the Plaza or nearby (try Bo Ling's for dim sum!). And at the Raphael, you won't be bothered by large, noisy groups at some of the chain hotels. If you're looking for a romantic weekend at a great price, this is the place to stay. Devamı

I have stayed in luxury (boutique-style and corporate) hotels in NYC, Paris, London, Chicago, Hong Kong, New Orleans, and Miami, and I was not disappointed with The Raphael. The staff was professional, courteous and welcoming. They made sure that all our needs were met. We checked into our double queen room, which also had a sitting room with couch. […] Its view across the river to the Spanish-style old town plaza was delightful. The desk had plenty of plugs for us to recharge all our laptops and phones. Two flat screen TV's were available, but we didn't use them. The room overall was well-furnished and the colors were predominantly muted green, cream, and brown; very relaxing and pleasing. It was nicely done without appearing too corporate, or ostentatious. The headboards were upholstered leather, with curved details. The beds were extremely comfortable; each had 4 sleeping pillows, plus the 3 decorative pillows. Great linens on the beds. The room was very quiet; no street noise and no hallway, ice room or elevator noise. Room temperature was adjustable. Curtains were controlled by wall switches. Bathroom was spacious, extremely clean, and appointed with marble floors, toiletries, a sewing repair kit, bath soaps, plenty of fluffy, white towels, and floor mats. An ironing board, iron and blow dryer were in the closet. The mini-bar was well stocked with non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. There was also a good supply of candies, nuts and crackers. There were plenty of hotel-logo note pads and pens in the room. We did not use their restaurant in the hotel, nor did we use room service, so I can't comment on those. However, we asked the front desk personnel for a recommendation to a high quality BBQ restaurant which was within walking distance, and their recommendation was right on - it met all our criteria, and gave a very happy closure to our otherwise very strenuous day. This boutique hotel has every ammenity needed for a very relaxing weekend experience. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and the service was awesome. We can't wait to go back to stay at the Raphael again.

Literally steps away from the Plaza, this is a great location for exploring on foot. This is a boutique hotel with ambiance. Our room with King bed was small but very comfortable. Although we were on the 6th floor, we could still hear the street noise, but we could also hear the lovely music of the string quintet as it floated up to our window Friday […] evening. Recently redecorated with most room sizes increased The Raphael treats travelers to a time gone by - graceful service combines with easy access to Kansas City's Country Club Plaza. The Raphael is a treat for both the harried business traveler and the leisure traveler.

Room not ready when we arrived around 4 PM. Lengthy wait to check in. Staff gave us free breakfast at restaurant -- BIG mistake -- we waited for over an hour to get our food for Sunday breakfast. Mediocre food... Hotel (except for check-in problems) is great. Restaurant and bar are really bad.

I was attending a conference next door at the Intercontinental Hotel. Unlike its neighbor, the Raphael offers free wireless Internet and free parking. The staff at the Raphael was extremely friendly. My only complaint is that I could never get my room colder than 75 degrees.

The hotel is a classic and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. I can' t think of any negatives except that the parking was a bit "cramped" . I'll be back!
