Petit Palace Cliper - Madrid

First off let me state that while, yes, this hotel was in the very center of Gran Via, that was pretty much all that was good about it. There was a strip club directly across the alley, the alleyway itself that is Chinchilla (the actual 'street' the hotel is on) was shady looking and populated with seedy bars. The A/C in the room did not work and it […] was stuffy and the entire place wreaked of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a smoke-free establishment. So as the room was so stuffy we had to open the window at night so as not to sweat and it was so noisy. Gran Via is a major party center for Madrid and as we had a strip club and numerous bars on our street, it was just so loud that sleeping was not easy. I got up at one point and looked out the window, about 1:30 am and there were prostitutes and transvestites walking by as well as a group of loud internationals drunk off their behinds. It was awful. Then there was the room itself. Let me first, again, go with the good. The only good thing was its relative cleanliness. The housekeeping staff were great and it was a clean room. The bathroom was decent, and the shower was pretty good. The good ends there though. The room was terribly tiny for a triple room (3 twin beds) very crammed and stuffy due to lack of functioning A/C, and the beds were AWFUL! It was literally like sleeping on nothing but springs. All 3 of us were having awful back and neck pain after the first night. In short I will say that for the amount of money we paid we expected more, but you are paying for the location which isn't necessary because Madrid has a great Metro system so you can stay further away at better hotels and still do everything you want with ease. Best advice I can give is to really research the area of town you plan on staying in because often you will be paying for location over anything else. I would not recommend Gran Via as it is just terribly noisy all night long and just a seedy area because of its party crowd. Devamı

The hotel room wasn't ready when we got there, I had made the booking 2 weeks before my arrival date. We had to wait 1 hour for them to get our room ready. Also when we were checking out the guy at the reception said there is "FREE" breakfast and when we were leaving he charged me for it and said it was FREE buffet but not the breakfast?!!!!! When we […] all said to him that he had said it was FREE breakfast, he started arguing and insisted we pay before he gives our luggage!!!!! Was horrible but luckily we only stayed one night. Devamı

The hotel was in an excellent location, but this was its only positive feature. Upon arrival, we were met by a concierge who was more interested in his personal coversation on his mobile phone than to check us in. He barely barked three words at us before giving us the key to our room (this was not a language barrier, as I was speaking to him in spanish). The […] rooms were tiny. I did read other reviews on this website which commented on room size, so when I booked I decided to opt for one up from the 'Petite' option at an increased cost. The room we were given barely had enough space for the beds and surrounding furniture, and I believe we were simply given a petite room despite paying extra. The airconditioner did not work well enough to keep the room cool, which we found surprising given that we were practically staying in a shoebox. Fortunately the weather was not too bad, but the room was still uncomfortably warm during the day. The bed was not the comfiest, and I actually had what appeared to be an old piece of gum caked onto my pillow. For the price of this hotel, despite its location, I really expected alot more. Devamı

perfect if you're looking for location. 5 min walk to Pl. Sol. and across the street from Gran Via. 3 subway stops within 5 min walk

very good location, nice neighborhood , kind staff, small room but very nice you even have a laptop in your room with internet access , i will come back and recommended to other .

The rooms are very, very small. The pictures of rooms on the internet are not indicitive of what you will actually get upon check in. However the room was clean and the free internet and breakfast were both good. The location is also very ideal.

Right in the downtown area. Close to everything. Restaurants, shopping, etc. A good place to spend the night, rest, take a shower and leave to enjoy Madrid. Not romantic or a place to relax. The room was clean.

Habitaciones un poco sucias, sobretodo el tema del polvo, el lavabo estaba bastante limpio aparentemente, pero por ejemplo debajo de la cama no pasavan el aspirador desde hacia meses y limpiar el polvo de las mesitas i el cabezal de la cama igual pero bueno por lo demas muy bien, el desayuno bien, y la situacion del hotel perfecta.

Lo mejor del hotel és su ubicación, és genial tienes tiendas, bares, restaurantes,... al lado i la habitación, és muy pequeña, pero tiene de todo ordenador con Internet, radio a demás de tv,... Lo peor és la limpieza, en las sábanas encontré un par de pelos i la almohada tenía una mancha, la deje encima el escritorio para que se viera i no me la enviaron […] en los 4 días que estuve. Hotellet har ett väldigt centralt och välplacerat läge mitt i Madrid. Det är i princip gångavstånd till allt och det är väldigt praktiskt! Standarden var inte helt topp, speciellt luftkonditioneringen var i princip obefintlig vilket innebar väldigt, väldigt varmt på rummet. Ett stort minus för hotellets AC!

Only one problem with the hotel... The beds, the madrass was really bad. Two days after and my back is still hurting

Sentral beliggenhet til det meste. Nær metro stasjon. Fine og rene rom, ikke harde senger. Generelt fornøyd med oppholdet, kommer gjerne tilbake.

todo perfecto, muy buena ubicacion, habitaciones pequeñas pero comodas, internet gratis.

Hotel très bien situé mais les chambres ne sont pas du tout insonorisées entre elles. La propreté est également à revoir. Un lit double était demandé lors de notre réservation, nous avons eu deux lit jumeaux pour notre week end en amoureux!!

El Hotel esta bien situado, y con faciles comunicaciones. Recepcion muy amable. Desayuno muy malo, solo una maquina de cafe, y faltaban todo tipo de productos que se "habian acabado" y no repusieron. Mesas en desayuno sin recoger durante largo rato. Habitacion correcta, no mas. Es pequeña, y solo una sillla en espacio minimo. Situación muy buena en el centro de Madrid. Puedes ir caminando a teatros, cines, restaurantes y un montón de actividades lúdicas. Cerca también de la zona de museos, ministerios y el congreso de los diputados.

Hotel muy cómodo y a un paso de todas las tiendas de Gran Vía. Las habitaciones muy limpias y un buen servicio de desayuno. Lo recomiendo.

L'hotel si trova in una buona posizione, vicino alla stazione metro e centro raggiungibile a piedi in 5 minuti. Camera pulita,ma piccola.Comodo solo x trascorrere 1/2 notti.Prezzo un po' alto x la qualità proposta
