The stay was fabulous. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that the hotel didn't have a jacuzzi. Everything else was great!

The location of the hotel provides convenient transportation to the Chicago loop via Metra rail service. It is about A 10 minute walk from the hotel to the Metra station.

The rooms are extremely clean as the hotel was remodeled recently. Unfortunately the staff isn't always the friendliest and we had to resort to dealing with the manager. The manager took good care of us, but one shouldn't have to deal with rude staff members first. The hotel is located close to Midway Airport and the hotel offers a shuttle every hour to the airport or the train station right next to the airport. Unfortunately there is a train running right outside the hotel and it doesn't matter what side of the hotel you're on, you're going to hear it. We were extremely pleased with the price we paid and had it not been for the rude staff and the train running until 11 or 12 at night, we would have given it better ratings. If you don't plan on getting a lot of sleep and don't mind dealing with some less than friendly staff, this hotel might be for you. Otherwise, I would steer clear of this hotel and stay elsewhere.

First off, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. 1) everyone was friendly and attended to our every whim. 2) Yes there are trains but the beds are so soft you hear them and fall right back to sleep 3)everything is remodled....this hotel has specially made mattresses from Sealy. 4)even though this hotel is far away from the sites the hotel shuttle will take you to the subway and airport for free and pick you up! 5) we lost our camera in a cab and they helped us track down the company. I'm coming back in March and will defintely look into staying there.

I worried a bit about the hotel since there were negative comments about the noise of trains but we stayed in a room overlooking the tracks and never heard a train at night in the two nights we stayed there. The rooms were luxurious and attractive and the service was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Close to Midway, shuttle to CTA was extremely convenient and trips downtown took about 20 minutes. Neighborhood is heavily commercial--lots of retail and restaurants along Cicero. Looks tacky but quite safe and convenient. (Try the Corner Bakery about two blocks away--fabulous for breakfast.)

Upon arrival, you could tell hotel had been remodeled and it was much cleaner that i would have expected from this style of hotel (circular). Room was clean, bright and had the needed items for business work. Wireless internet needed a bit stronger signal. Only item was the lounge that had what i thought was a slight odor of chlorine. I had a complaint about the deadbolt not working properly which they proptly fixed. Staff was very responsive and professional. I would stay here again.

The hotel was recently redone so everything looked new and clean. The rooms were very comfortable with enough room for two people. Loved it that there is a bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink. Outside the bathroom was another sink with mirror. Great for two people to get cleaned up at the same time.

The hotel was outstanding with great rooms. We had a class reunion and the service was very good. The only complaint was that the food was not cooked properly (Prime Rib overdone) but overall it was a great place to have our event.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and had great staff. Big problem is it is right next to active train tracks. The train horns blow all day and night. Tough to sleep. The a/c unit helped to drown it out somewhat, but it still woke me up three times during the night. I don't think I would stay there again.

Trains go by a lot. Great if you need to be by MidWay airport. Do not stay if you're working downtown chicago.

The hotel was way too close to the train station so every morning you would hear the horns from the train from your room. Yeah thanks for a good night's sleep! If you think its because of the room's location then think again because the hotel is circular in shape, so it doesn't matter which room you have at all. You will definitely hear the noise from the train according to other guests that I talked to at the hotel. The hotel's response was that we are waiting to see if the problem will be solved anytime soon. Yeah that's great but how about now! Also, the guest service staff quoted me a price that was different from what was actually charged on the credit card and on top of that they weren't too friendly. Plus I didn't receive the HHonor points that I was suppose to receive with my hotel stay. In my opinion, I wouldn't stay here at all the next time I come to Chicago, IL. The hotel was great and in a great location for the business trip I was on. The staff was friendly and the restaurants were wonderful.

I loved the stay. It was in a very convenit part of the city. As well as clean.

very good quality hotel with exceptional staff

this was a very good standard for a 3 star hotel and it had everything we wanted - but it is located directly adjacent to a major train line. Every half hour or so, the sound of the trains honking their horns makes you literally jump with fright they are so loud. We did however manage to sleep as they don't continue too late at night. the surrounding area is also not great. I would not go back - just based on the location.

The hotel was REALLY nice. The beds were really comfortable and I feel we got an awesome deal on hotels.com for where we stayed. As new tourists to Chicago, we took the hotel's free shuttle to the train which got us to downtown. It only took about 45 minutes, but seemed much shorter. Located by the Midway Airport, it had tons of restaurants and stores around it where we felt safe and it was fairly quiet.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Oak Lawn. The rooms were beautiful! We enjoyed the pool and fitness center as well. The location was great for where we needed to be.

great room for the cost

Only problem we had was the construction going on. It was very noisy in our room throughout the afternoon on Saturday. We thought we would be safe from the construction on Sunday, however, bright and early we began hearing construction noise again. Other than that the room was very comfortable and when the construction is completed I'm sure it will be very nice.

For the price I wasn't that surprised, but be aware the shuttle to/from MDW stops at 10:30 PM, I picked this hotel because they offered complimentary shuttle service to/from MDW, if it was stated on the website (and I don't believe it was) it certainly was a surprise when I called shortly before 11 PM and was told I needed to take a cab ($16 w/tip)

The hotel was kind of far from the city, but there is a shuttle that you can take to the L which will take you where ever you want to go, or you have the option of parking at the airport and taking the L, so it is really convenient. The hotel was really nice and the clerks were very helpful and friendly

Nice room; however, would have been nice to have bigger beds and a refrigerator in the room.

This is the 4th time I've stayed here. I really like the hotel. Its clean, comfortable, with all the little extras you'd expect at a Hilton. The free shuttle service to Midway airport is outstanding. I recommend it to anyone using that airport. Someday I'd like to spend an extra day there to enjoy the pool and enjoy the ambience.

Too far from Midway Airport; other than that, it was great. Better than 3 stars.

Hotel was clean and service was great. Close to MDW airport. Food was terrific! But there was an annoying train that ran right next to the hotel in the middle of the night!

Exhausted from our traveling we decide not to eat at the hotel restaurant but instead order room service from it. It was the best room service meal I have ever eaten. Terrific! Superb! It was hot, served to us almost immediately, and delicious. Most times I am hesitant to order room service, but not at the Hilton Oak Lawn.

The walls must be super thin because you can hear everyone's conversations in the adjoining rooms. There is also a foul odor when you walk off the elevator and onto the floor. I wouldn't go back!

Good business hotel if you need one 15 minutes south of Midway. Walgreens and fast food within walking distance and not much else.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel in 2 rooms next to each other. The hotel is near traintracks but we were on the front side of the hotel so we NEVER heard it! The beds were very comfy and the pillows are amazing! Extra towels were easily available. The walls are solid-even though our friends were yelling and up late in the room right next door - you couldn't hear them! The price was great for what you get and the rooms were very nice. The police were there a few times (which was a little scary) but it was probably a couple guys fighting in the bar downstairs or possibly the wedding party that was there. Overall it was a great weekend and we would definatley stay here again!

over all good experience, Requested a cab to be pick me up @ 5:10 AM it arrived at 5:30.

The hotel was great, but unfortunately there is a train track right next to it and every 30 minutes a train comes by and the loudness is HORRIBLE! We couldn't sleep all night. Next day we asked for another room on the other side of the building. The noise wasn't as bad as the other day but still you could really hear it. That is the only reason why we would NEVER stay at this hotel.

This hotel is not close to the CTA train you must take to get around Chicago. You must drive or take a very slow hotel shuttle back to midway airlines to catch all buses and trains.

Good location to Midway Airport and I-294. Hotel has excellent restaurant and friendly staff. Pool and fitness center is welcome addition. A good overnite stop.
