The bathroom does not have ventilation for the steam to escape, making it a virtual souna when you take a shower. In addition, there is mold present on the bathroom ceiling. The parking lot is always packed due to all the events they host there. First hotel I have stayed where there is no ice machine. I walked around my floor holding onto the bucket […] but I just could not find the ice machine. Some dumb kid was playing with the elevator, pressing all of the floors. The same kid also took our do not disturb sign right off our door handle. I would have paid more if I had known about all that. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. Devamı

Very nice hotel. Clean, updated rooms. The surrounding area is good, but very congested. On a positive note, the hotel is very close to restaurants, Walgreens, etc. Our only complaint is that the room smelled very smoky. (This is probably our own fault since I'll bet they offer non-smoking rooms.) However, we arrived before check-in time and were […] just pleased they had any room available they we're willing to let us have early: for us it was a minor impleasantry. Overall, very nice hotel to stay at. Just keep in mind if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, I would definitely recommend requesting a non-smoking room at time of booking or check in. Devamı

The hotel was in decent condition and the location was centrally located and in a decent area with lots of stores etc. The down was I booked online and paid in full for a king non-smoking early checkin. EARLY check in. I even called to make sure the hotel knew I was checking in early. Did I say early? BUT when I arrived ...early they said the hotel […] was booked and I could not check in early. They really did not care so much either basically like the hotel is full that is it. So I went to the resturant and they didn't seem prepared for customers so much. The food was ok but the service not so much. I did mention this and the manager did give 2 vouchers for breakfast buffet and that was very nice. Everything is inside the hotel as far as dining access to internet pool gym and so on. The room I ended up was for handicapp no bath tub but the handicapp setup shower... I came to Chicago from Texas to go to a funeral. After a grueling 17 hour drive, I arrived at the OakLawn Hilton at 8:30 in the morning. After explaining my predicament, (I needed a room for m y wife and I to dress and prepare for a 10:00AM funeral), the desk attendant was able to locate a room and check me in. The room was great, the hotel wqas quiet […] and clean, the neighborhood had plenty of facilities for entertainment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is worthy of the designation, "The Hilton Experience". Devamı

This was a good value for money although its 10-15 min south of MDW which is problem if you plan to hang out late in the Chicago area

We booked this hotel on our way up to see a sporting event. I chose the Hilton and payed the extra money to stay in a Hilton because of the name. When my wife went to check in they could not find our reservation. after nearly 20 minuted passed another employee came in and found it in a matter of seconds. Once in ther room, the shower didnt work. The […] maintenance guy came in a nd did a quick "fix" and then showed my wife how to work around it. After taking a shower we went to swim, that is when we found out that the pool had been closed which was a major factor in choosing a hotel. After getting back to the room we found that the remote control on the TV didnt work. We called guest services and they quickly brought us up another remote. That remote didnt work either, we finally determined it was the tv because it would shut off, change channels and change volume without anyone touching the remote. It wouldnt even stay on a channel for more than five minutes. We called down to guest services again where we were on hold for over ten minutes and finally just hung up. The next morning we woke up to find that the shower wasnt working again. We didnt even bother to try and call guest services again. Before leaving we decided to go to thier breakfast buffet. The presentation was nice but the food was very old and hard. Ordering an onellete took over twenty minutes and throughout the entire time noone ever filled our water glasses, took our dirty plates or checked on us. I spoke with the manager of the restaurant and she was very accomodating and apologized. She even offered to make sandwiches for the kidsd on the ride home. However, as I left one of the waitresses made a snide comment about not leaving a tip? As I checked out of the hotel the lady asked me how my stay was and I told her the truth. She asked for my number and asked if she could have the manager call me. The manager called me that day and asked me "what I wanted". I explained to her that her staff offered to h Devamı

I reserved three two bed standard room for me and my friends as we were travelling with families and there are 4 people in each family. When we went to the front desk the lady said that she can only give king bed rooms as they are overbooked. They were not apologetics at allege was saying that this is what I have if you do not like I can put you in […] one of our sister properties like one of the lower end hotels. We did not like the attitude of the front desk folks, when we asked for a manager they said that he was not available but after much debate they found two rooms with double beds. So they had rooms available but refused to give to us..was not a pleasant experience ...the hotel is good but the service is bad. Devamı

It was my brothers wedding and due to the distance of the banquet hall we decided to rent a room nearby. For being labor day weekend it was surprisingly very quiet. The wedding ended @ 2 am so we were very exhausted and just feel asleep as soon as we got back to the rooms. Very nice there was a late checkout @ noon. Only downside was they could not […] give us 2 rooms next to each other but due to the holiday it was expected. Overall the rooms where nice and clean, beds comfortable surprisingly n clean sheets. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the room was larger than expected - we stayed in a double on the first floor. The condition of the room was good and having the a/c in the room was nice.

My stay at this hotel was perfect. The hotel was clean, the staff was professional, the restaurant had very good food and the accommodations through out the hotel was top of the line.

Pool was excellent. Would not recommend kids. Pool should have an adult area with a spa.

It was a very quiet hotel. Everything was clean and nice. Staff was helpful. Pool room was very hot, but it was 95 degrees out.

Okay, so I got a rate which is normally low for a Hilton for a single room, so what should you expect with that kind of rate. However, it's a Hilton and it should have some level of maintaining its namesake. The issues: -Terrible food at the bar. Don't go in there past 10 pm or you will get the food that has been sitting there all day. -One elevator […] worked. We were there for 5 days and NO ONE seemed to be in a rush to get the 2nd elevator fixed. Had to wait up to 5 min for the one elevator. Terrible! -The maid service left my door open!!! When I got in from a long day out in the field for my business, the door was cracked open. Let me tell you, not a pleasant thing at all to see at 9pm. -Management downplayed the situation about the door being unlocked!!! Not smart! They acted as if "What's the big deal!" Overall, it wasn't a horrific experience as I'm pretty malleable. BUT, this hotel needs an injection of revitalization. It just feels as if it's neglected by the Hilton conglomerate. Devamı

We were very concerned about our children falling on the pool deck because the tile was very slick when wet. Also, the water was very cold! The only other complaint we had was that the second elevator was not running, and according to another patron, had not been running for some time. Friendly staff and quick service.Worth every cent.

My stay was good at this hotel. The only problem was that they had only one elevator working other than the employee service elevator. So trying to get the elevator on Sunday to checkout was a long wait. But the staff were wonderful, polite, professional and extremely helpful.

I had a three nights very satisfactory stay at this hotel. I liked its close proximity to the businesses I visited. Did not like its slow cranky elevator.

Time away from home is always hard but this relaxing stay was easy and comfortable.

I stayed here to be close to a seminar on East 93rd. It was a quck ride up to get where I needed. Lots of eating places around the hotel. The hotel was clean. The walls were thin between rooms but as long as you have the AC/heater on it's not bad.

I have to say that I was impressed about the cleaness of the room. It looked great and everything was in perfect conditions. The only thing I didn't like was the view, but over all its great. The front desk was accomodering and friendly.

I have a complaint. The water in the shower was terrible. A number of times the shower actually cut off while I was in there and the water never went down in the tub. That is embarassing and a very bad experience.

I had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Oak Lawn. If I could have changed 1 thing it would have been the way a group of people were being rowdy outside the hotel in the evening hours. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. It was in a great location. Convienent to shopping and the airport.

I guess I expected a lot from the "Hilton" name. I was a little disappointed in the room. Staff was great at the hotel. When booking this room, I paid extra for a "cityview" and discovered it was a waste of money. Railroad track right next to the hotel that seemed to shake the room as trains went by all night long. A bit confusion about where to go to evacuate the building for the fire. Middle of the night was not nice! Then my hot water went out in my room had to relocate to another room, another inconvenience to what should have been a very special romantic weekend.

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. A little pricey for just a quick trip to the city to party with friends.

We stayed at this Hilton for the 2nd time and it was just as great as the first. Friendly, clean, great location!!

We stayed at 2 hotels during this trip, each just a couple of miles away from each other due to family needs. Suprisingly the comfort inn had room ameneties equal to that of the Hilton. However the comfort inn had, breakfast, a frig and mircrowave in the room and the room was cleaner for twenty-five percent per night less. If you must stay a a Hilton, […] this one was more than acceptable. The upside to this Hotel is the restaurant and bar inside the property. The competitor had a nightclub in the same parking lot but you would have to leave the warmth of the hotel to get to it. That would be a consideration in the winter. This location was convenient to Midway airport, circa 4 miles. There were a drug store, hair salon and shops close at hand. We felt safe. Breakfast was not included.

Room was excellent. Bed and pillows equivalent to 5 star hotel.

Holyoke in uk of a better standard than this one. Hotel lobby floor being replaced caused trip hazards in the area and getting access to lift. Caused noise in the room. Allocated smoking room despite requesting non smoking which took two trips to reception and a lot of effort to get changed. Second room was opposite lift and had connecting door, both […] of which had noise issues. Good shuttle service to airport and convenient Dennys for cheap meals. Devamı

I needed a place to stay in Chicago and EVERYTHING in the downtown area was either booked solid or horrendously expensive, so I opted for a place I had stayed in 5 years ago... Well, it's been a tough 5 years on this place! I cannot believe that Hilton is still maintaining this facility - it's almost beyond repair!!! I stayed here only because my business meeting was here. Getting into Chicago- where the sky scrappers and lake are turned out to be an expensive cab ride.... heaven forbid the trains run more freqently. Walls here are paper thin and the front desk doesn't know sh-- about times for meetings in the meeting rooms.... Cleaning service does not clean under […] bed, although bed was verryyy comfy Devamı

We read other reviews about train noise. We did not hear the train and actually thought the hotel was very quiet. The service was excellent. We went down to the restauraunt late in the evening for some desert not realizing it was closed. The bar was open and the bartender let us (he suggested it) sit in the restauraunt where it was quiet and waited […] on us there. It was above and beyond and much appreciated. The desk staff was fast and friendly on check in and out. The room and bed were very nice. The location coming from Navy Pier brings you through some questionable neighborhoods but that is Chicago. We had no problems and the ample free parking was nice. A better than expected experience. Devamı
