Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbus Expo Center - Columbus

I was told it had new carpets so I was impressed right away. The young man working the counter was just perfect as was the young lady the next day. Helped with directions, and was very kind. I really like Holiday Inn Expresses and they are always very busy... I worried a bit when I saw that this one wasn't busy at all. Didn't know if that was for a […] reason? Didn't bother me though. I did grab food from the Wendy's next door, but that was pretty much all I trusted. I didn't realize the area was somewhat "depressed", I didn't feel safe at all while outside in the evening hours. ;-( The breakfast was very nice, fresh, tasty and a clean dining area. Friendly, helpful personnel. Convenient, 5 min. drive to OSU campus. Needs routine, cosmetic maintenance. Outdated television (not HD). Good selection of breakfast foods. Remember to put the hanging door knob sign on the outside of the room door if you want clean linens if staying more than one night.

The hotel is under construction.. The fitness area equipment does not work properly.. The hotel guests are very noisy.. Did not get a good night sleep without being awaked by drunks banging on doors and children running in the halls screaming at all hours of the night.. Continental breakfast was horrible went out to eat and the coffee is gross....

Terrible location ... Stayed one night and got my car broken into ... Shattered my window and rummaged my car ... Same thing happened to about 6 other cars in the parking lot ... After, they said it happens frequently at this location ... Terrible experience.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was nice and the bed was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the continential breakfast the next morning. The christmas setting and the fireplaces burning on a cold night is just what you need to help you relax.

The Holiday Inn Express is convenient to the Ohio Expo and Fairgrounds. It was why I stayed there to take the state medical board in December, 2011. Pluses: Room was warm and clean; front desk staff were friendly and efficient; easy check-in and check-out; plenty of clean towels and linens. Minuses: Pool small and cold; toilet slow to nonexistent […] flow; rough neighborhood with only a Wendy's convenient to hotel. Would I stay there again? Yes, and bring more food from home to eat in the room so I don't have to go out in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Devamı

If your looking for a close OSU location and a decent price, this hotel is ok. Just have low expectations. Needs a great deal of work, cleanliness and everything in the fitness center was broken.

The hotel is doing a little remodeling but it hasn't affected the quality of service! It was a very nice stay, but I do have one complaint. It was very loud in the hallways in the morning. The cleaning crew were cleaning rooms as early as 7 and the sound of their chatter was definitely interrupting my sleep and at one point a Maid tried to come into […] our room. The hotel is small, in marginal condition, both treadmills were of poor quality and broken, The layout of the hotel is cramped, the furnishings in the room were older,the bedding was hard with lumpy pillows and the free breakfast was also lousy especially for a midrange hotel. We ONLY stayed at this hotel for the location. The only way I would stay here again would be if I were attending another event at the same location. Hopefully they will get the renovations complete soon. We tried to get breakfast at 8:55 on Saturday morning and were given an eye roll about making more eggs. We stayed two nights. After the first night we were gone most of the day. When we returned we found that no service had been done to the room. I talked to the night staff who said he was sorry but did not seem sincere but because he had been trained to say so. When asked he did provide clean towels that I carried to the room. When I checked out the […] next moring the clerk was more sincere about the apology and checked the system and found no reason for the lack of room service. The service at this hotel was great. It was a little run down, but it looks like they're rehabbing. Very clean.

I don't think quality when I think Holiday Inn, but I'm now wrong these days. I got the "suite" basically was the same price as the regular room. Had a jacuzzi and a huge king bed. The bed was very comfortable. I would buy this type of bed in a store, it is really that good. The room was clean, big, plenty of towels and the jacuzzi was really nice too. […] It can hold 2. Lots of cable channels, decent TV and the Air Conditioning was perfect. No problems at all. The breakfast waspretty good. But you can't complain? Free right? We had a nice stay at this hotel and it was only about a ten minute drive to the attractions we came for but the neighborhood it was in was not the greatest and we weren't able to find a nice restaurant close enough for the time we had. So overall nice but the area surrounding wasn't so nice.

Check in was very nice and professional. This was by far the hottest hotel I have ever stayed in. The AC was on High the whole time and never was it cold. The hallways were styfulling and the breakfast area was very warm. The front desk failed to find or return a magnifying mirror left in the room when I called 1 day later. The staff was very nice and accommodating of our need for late check in. The breakfast provided healthy options, was plentiful, and delicious!

We really didn't have anything to complain about. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly, and the breakfast was appreciated.

My fiancee and I stayed here during our visit to Columbus. The staff was super friendly. The only negatives were that the neighborhood seemed a little shady (nothing bad happened, but I made extra sure my door was locked) and it's not really to close any restaurants (except for the Wendy's right next door). Hotel was priced right. Service was excillent location is close to nicer downtown areas such as North Market. Room and hotel was very clean.

This hotel was very close to the Expo Center. The room was clean and comfortable, service was great. The only thing I felt was an issue was that there was nothing in the neighborhood in the way of restaurants, etc. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Clean hotel, clean rooms, very nice service. Nothing really around within walking distance. Everything was as it should be.

The hotel is not in good condition. I wish i could point to a sign that said something about being under construction but i couldn't find any. Some of the towels weren't clean, the sheets were worn, and i saw a bug or two in the bathroom. The only good thing about the neighborhood is that it was close to the highway and a short drive from Ohio State. […] Otherwise, i wouldn't leave the room at night. The manager was very helpful finding medical services for my grandson when an infected tooth gave him problems.

Only complaint- doors slamming, noise from floors above us. Maybe not get a first floor room would be better.

The hotel was quite comfortable and the staff friendly, but the neighborhood left much to be desired. I like to be close to a restaurant/bar scene where I can leave the car at the hotel and walk around. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Wendy's next door, gas station across the street, highway to one side and a deteriorating neighborhood to the other. We enjoyed staying here. The staff was very pleasant. The room was comfortable and the whole place was extremely clean. The free breakfast had alot more items than expected. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool, but used the equipment in the exercise room and were pleased with it. We will definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this hotel about a year ago and was happy with it enough then to book another room on this visit to Columbus. Unfortunately it has really gone downhill since that time. The room wasn't nearly as clean as last time. I was given a smoking room, though I requested non-smoking. What is the sense of allowing such a request when it will not necessarily […] be honored? The hotel is a typical 2- 2.5 star Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast is nice, service was good. The surrounding area though is a little rough.

great room everything we needed and more great location within walking distance of every where we wanted to be. diffently will stay again and recommend it highly.

This hotel is located within a half mile of Crew Stadium and the fair grounds so it's an easy, convenient walk. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They even gave me fresh baked cookies!

This hotel was clean, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the location was good. I drove to downtown in about 7 minutes.

Room was clean and decent - plain, not very inviting. The hallways smelled of smoke by my room (even though I had a non-smoking room). Right off the Interstate, yet not the best area. I prefer hotels that are more inviting, yet they are more expensive.

Friendly staff. Very convenient near OSU campus. 2 miles to the stadium. Rate included indoor pool, hot breakfast, no charge in room wi-fi! Only negative surrounding neighbor is not real comfortable to walk around in-although Wendy's is just next door:)
