Well trained helpful courteous responsive staff, good restaurant, fairly priced. Good parking. Beach swimming is not suitable for children because of steepness and breakers. Pool looks nice.

It is a very nice hotel with wonderful people working there. In particular, I really enjoyed the staff that worked the pool and beach area. Our drinks never seemed to get empty and we needed nothing that they didn't provide. We very much enjoyed their restaurant that was adjacent to the check-in area. I believe it was called Fettuccine. On the negative […] side, one of the bikes in the exercise room and one of the treadmills were not working and neither was the waterfall. If you are looking for the hustle and downtown down Puerto Vallarta, this might not be the place for you. We liked that this hotel was a little more yet close to the action, but it was a $10 cab ride into town. Great View too! Devamı

The location of this hotel is beautiful. The beach is pristine, and color of the ocean during our stay was aqua/green and dark blue. The pool area is kept very clean, and the staff at poolside were courteous and attentive. The staff for the most part were very friendly, and accomodating. The food in the restaurant was fair, and staff again, gracious. […] Unfortunately, the hotel is in serious need of upgrading. Our room had a very musty/moldy odor, some of the odor from the mattresses, and some from the ventilation system. The glass of the patio balcony was very dirty, the majority of the surface was smudged and covered in children's handprints. The floors were grainy, and seemed unmopped. There was a moldy shower mat rolled up in the corner of the shower. I don't think I will return here again, which is unfortunate, as the outdoor areas were so pleasant and inviting. Devamı

The hotel wasn't too bad. But, the food at the restaurant was terrible. If you stay here I would recommend that you Do Not to the All Inclusive. The beach was nice, and staff very friendly.

I really liked this hotel. It was quiet, good service, and perfect for large family/friend gatherings. The people who worked here were very polite and helpful. The hotel was beautifully situated on one of the most gorgeous beaches in Puerto Vallarta. The pool overlooks the beach and has a nice set-up. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room had a great lay-out with a great view. The decor is a bit out-dated and could use some renovations but still very nice. The hotel itself is old and in need of many updates and repairs. However the rate is attractive enough to overlooks some of these things. What keeps us going back is the Hotel staff is fantastic. From the General Manager to the Pool attendants. The all go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Absolutely loved our vacation here. Service was friendly & attentive. By the second day everyone knows your name. The room we got was enormous & the bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. Be sure to reserve any excursions through the hotel concierge in the lobby. We learned the hard way & were charged more going through people that we spoke to on […] the beach. You also might want to call ahead & see if the hotel can set up a taxi to pick you up at the airport. We payed almost double when getting a taxi outside the airport on the curb. When I arrive to the hotel a front desk lady ask me if I accept an $11.00 per day for Tips per each date in my case 9 nights, to avoid any problem in my stated I accepted, I think this is not correct. The room has a lot of humidity.

Presidente Intercontinental is a wonderful hotel for a relaxing beach holiday. We have stayed at this hotel several times and the staff is excellent and the beach and grounds beautiful. This area of Puerto Vallarta is near Mismaloya so both beach and mountain rainforest. It is a 15 minute bus ride into town and a world away from the tourist/cruise ship […] Marina zone. We had a great time. The ONLY problem was the horrible water pressure in the shower. If there was a way to we would have showered in the sink where the water pressure was great. Severely outdated hotel....straight from the 60's. No modern amenities.The food was terrible. I would never go back or recommend this hotel. Should be rated a 1 star.

The hotel is not bad, but if you expect the usual InterContinental standards don't stay there. The location is quite far from the main attractions in the area, the only things near it are other hotels and condos, the road and, of course, the beach. No nearby restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

This was our 4th year in a row that we stayed at the Presidente InterContinental Hotel. We had a spectacular time once again. The hotel staff are all very friendly and accommodating. There are lots of great restaurants in the near vicinity. The zoo is right down the street, and a trip to the Botanical Gardens is a must.

I never succeeded in making the DVD player work even after help from the staff who didn't know how to work it. Plus the DVD's I borrow from the front desk while supposedly in English were both in Spanish so I didn't get to view them

The location of the hotel is a bit far from downtown Puerto Vallarta but in a nice area south of PV. Food was good, room was clean and personnel was polite and courteous. It is an older building and the rooms need updating but it was clean and very spacious. If you are arriving by car then the parking space, especially in high season, is limited. The […] price is reasonable and the view is gorgeous. It has a small beach right in front of a very nice pool area. We own a rental condo in Manzanillo and usually fly to PV and stay there for one night before driving down to Manzanillo. One of the best locations in Puerto Vallarta if you're happy to get away from it all! Fabulous beach, but you need to be a good swimmer! Shame that the hotel has a drain with run-off water into the sea! Rooms smell of mould but the housekeeping staff do the best with what they have. Highly recommend the pool-side bar for the best margaritas in the world, […] thanks to Fernando, and their snacks. We were fortunate enough to help a giant sea turtle lay her eggs one evening, only followed the next day to see her nest being washed away in the dirty drain water flowing down the beach. After consultation with Fernando, we discovered the hotel offers a turtle egg nursery and all 86 eggs were removed safely! Wishing all our babies the best of luck! A real downside is the availability of internet! After requesting connection from reception on numerous occasions one evening (only to be told, sorry sir, we are busy, then sorry, we are experiencing problems), we utilised our local vodafone internet key at a cost of 600 Euros for 3 hours!!! OK, we were silly not to know, but the service should have been provided promptly by the hotel reception staff! I must add, generally the staff were courteous and friendly but the staff at reception were very arrogant, distracted and unhelpful! Maybe they need to take lessons on courteous behaviour from the bar staff. If we were rude to the Concierge desk, many apologies, but after hours of travelling we were not interested in a property presentation. Devamı

The hotel itself is older but in good shape. The hotel staff will be a reason for us to continue to return year after year. From the Bell Captiain, Desk assistance, Cleaning Staff to the Bartenders and the Pool area staff they are all very attentive to all of your needs. We are totally satisfied with the hotel for this reason and feel very comfortable […] and it's only a 15 minute bus ride to Downtown which we like to visit ocassionally for Breakfast, Lunches and Dinners not to mention shopping. If you want to be in the middle of the hussle and bustle of "PV", this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet sandy cove away from the city, large rooms and a lovely view, I would recommend it. We first stayed here eight years ago, and while there has been some obvious wear and tear over those years, the place is holding up quite well. We didn't […] want a place full of kids- we didn't want only US tourists- we wanted access to PV but not be in PV. We gladly returned and weren't displeased. Yes, the valve to switch from the tub to the showerhead was worn out, but when reported, it was fixed the same day. When we mentioned that the tv speakers had been blown , they brought a replacement television. Drive south to Mismaloya and order fresh fish caught that day in one of the palapas as you are served on the beach under an umbrella as you push your feet into the sand. While wifi is available, the daily charge seemed exorbitant, but access to their business center, with Windows XP computers was free. There are trade offs in Mexico, and most everywhere. Plan your trip when you go because it can be really hot and humid there. You can have a lovely stay relaxing here while exploring the area. Unless you have a car, are willing to take the local's bus which stops across the street, you will need to use taxis. We rented a car (at no small expense for the required insurance) but explored as we chose and would do it again. Enjoy the warm water and delightful views. Devamı

My stay at the Presidente Intercontinental was very relaxing. The beach is beautiful and the pool was great. I have no complaints about my stay-the service and the food was good. The staff was friendly and and would often check if I needed anything while poolside.

Nice hotel and facilities. Rooms were big and confy. Pool area was decent but the beach was a pain to get chairs. It was a little away from town so taxi or bus had to be taken to get to town. Good value if you get it on a special deal.

Hotel is nice, but not what I would expect of a Presidente Intercontinental. The stay here is doable, but overpriced, I think. If you are looking for a small hotel with a calm pool, this is a nice place. Unfortunately, during our stay wheather was cold (indeed, a record of coldest temperature, 12°C, around 45 F was reached). Hotel staff would not turn […] the pool heat on unless you request it. Room was nice, but everything appears to be old (at least 10 years old, including TV, coffee maker, all furniture, etc.). This hotel seems to need a nice refurbishment. Bathroom was not the nicest, and you would expect everything to be cleaner on a $130/night room (not including a mandartory $30/night fee, which is hidden and you will have to pay when leaving hotel). Staff tries to make things right but the lack of training shows up (together with an attitude that is not always the nicest). For example, we requested a crib and the security guard provided it, because "everyone had left the hotel as it was late" (it was 9:00 pm). He just left the crib over there, for us to put everything together and install it, as he said "he did not know how to do that and that his work is to be the security guard". Again, I can handle that, as everyone else... but perhaps not in a hotel of this price. Honestly, having stayed before at the Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta, I truly would use the HI instead of the Presidente, unless I am really looking at a small hotel with a quiet pool. Devamı

Although the hotel is out of the main business area of Puerto Vallarta, we found the accomodations charming. It was an easy bus ride to town for very little dinero. There were also cabs available for those feint of heart. The room was wonderful and the views amazing.

We go to puerto Vallarta all the time and I would never stay here again. When we had checked in their was major maintenenace going on and constant jackhammering from 0830 to 1700 every day except Sunday. We tried to get the people at the front dest to move us but they just stared at you and hope you went away. We finally got a lower room away from the […] construction so it was not as loud but was a big hassle. It would have been nice to have the management be more curtious and understand when you go on vacation you don't want to be sitting out looking at the ocean listening to a jackhammer all day. The bathroom had pee all over the seat and looked as if no one had been cleaned it before we moved in. It just seemed over priced and no one was at the resort. The bar was horrible and no one was there. Not a good experience at all thanks to the non help of people there at Intercontinental presidente. Devamı

The hotel is very comfortable but does need some better maintenance. So far the overall cost for some of the minor inconveniences seems in line at least from MY point of view. We like the area very much but if some one was expecting a 4 star type facility I think they would be very disappointed. Let me focus first on the positives. The hotel is very conveniently located in the old zone of Puerto Vallarta, very close from downtown (which is fantastic) and from Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan beaches. The hotel has a nice beach and a nice pool. All the rooms have oceanview, which allow you to watch the great PV's sunsets. The negatives are: Hotel […] needs badly much more personnel. We could not get pool towels, because no one was available to give them to us. After getting really upset and five requests we finally got them. The pool bar closes at 6 PM. At that time there is a lot of light and sun, so we could get refreshments for our family. Room was not very clean and there were not enough towels for me and my family. We decided to get dinner at the hotel and the buffet was not great and very expensive for the price to be charged, so we decided to order on the menu. We got dinner almost 1 and 1/2 hour later, again due to a lack of personnel. In summary, in so far as this hotel invests in personnel and customer service, I cannot recommend this hotel; however has pluses, including the price charged for the room. Devamı

Me hospedé en este hotel sólo porque la playa me gusta mucho. Pero el hotel se ve viejo, no parecen darle buen mantenimiento y la alberca siempre esta helada. Cuando hace mucho sol y calor no creo que sea un problema, pero yo tuve la desdicha de encontrar los días nublados y hacía algo de frío, por lo que me quejé desde el principio de la temperatura […] y no hicieron nada al respecto. Cabe mencionar que nadie más en el hotel usaba la alberca, e imagino que la razón era la misma. El personal no es muy amigable, se limita a hacer su trabajo, lo cual no es tan malo. Al llegar el frigobar estaba abierto con cervezas destapadas en su interior, señal de que alguien no hace bien su trabajo al momento de revisar que le habitación esté en óptimas condiciones antes de entregarla. Por lo demás la playa está increible, chica, pero muy bonita. Devamı

Me desepcionó un poco, el hotel le falta una buena remodelada y el mantenimiento en los cuartos es malo. Me encantó que cuidan los huevos de las tortugas y pudimos liberarlas al mar. Felicidades por eso!

Very poor service, they have minimum staff, when first arrived by taxi there was no bell boy and the reception desk not at a location where you can see it, our taxi driver helped us locating reception desk. Rooms are not inspected prior to assigning them, air conditioner not working, they send a repair person and told us it will take a little awaile […] to cool, it never did. El hotel no es malo pero la comida es Pésima!! Carísimo el Buffet del desayuno y solo tienen 3 cosas..Y Muy mala la calidad de sus alimentos. Al final nos cobraron un servicio extra por dia que nunca nos dijeron hasta hacer el check out.

El Hotel es muy bueno, en realidad muy comodo. El unico problema es que solo tienen cena de buffet, que me parecio algo costosa. Excelente playa. El servicio de picina solo es hasta a las 9 pm, lo que en realidad es malo, ya que ha esa hora ya no hay sol y es mas rico disfrutar la picina.

Hôtel très agréable mais beaucoup trop loin du centre ville où nous voulions être. 20mn en taxi. Cet hôtel est parfait si l'on souhaite se reposer et ne pas se déplacer. Ceux du centre ville romantique sont également très agréableq.

El hotel nos pareció muy comodo en general, la zona si bien no es muy cerca del centro nos gusto mucho y acceder al centro es muy facil ya que existen taxis constantes en la puerta o bien el colectivo que pasa por la puerta tambien es muy comodo y economico. El servicio en general nos parecio flojo, por momento los empleados de la recepción no daban […] a basto entre atender, cambiar moneda, antender el telefono, hacer los in y los out, etc, y esto repercutio en estar minutos enfrente de ellos sin siquiera hablarte.
