"The Country Inn within driving distance of Hershey"
The hotel had a dingy feel to it. Its not the worst that I have made a reservation for but those ones I cancelled once I saw the room. This one was just passable. The air conditioner has a strong musty odor, I cleaned up a couple roaches before my fiance saw them, there was trash in the garbage when we got into the room. "Great stay, close to Hershey Amusement park"

"We found our hotel!!"
We could not have been more pleased with our experience. We were assigned to a regular room, upon arrival the clerk took notice to me having to use a wheelchair and politely asked if we would like her to put us in the hanicap accessible room with a larger bathroom. We graciously accepted. Any time that we had any questions there was always someone pleasant […] there to answer. We were also so very impressed with the breakfast. "THE HOTEL WAS CLOSE TO HERSHEY"
The hotel was close to Hershey within an easy 5 mile ride. It was neat and clean. The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. Our biggest issue is one day we had no housekeeping service or clean linen. The staff apologized over and over but did nothing financially to compensate us as we made our beds that night before getting in them. Otherwise ok. […] Would stay again. Food in am was usual fare. Good price/value for location.
I"M NOT A COMPLAINER BUT THE FIRST ROOM WE HAD WAS NEXT TO THE ICE MAKER WHICH WAS EXTREMELY LOUD SO THEY MOVED US AND PUT US IN ANOTHER ROOM. The hotel did no have central air. In June in Pennsylvania, I expect central air. The window unit smelled of chlorine when it was on, but it was too hot to have it off. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and the cool air did not reach the living room even with the bedroom door wide open. The pillows were feather and flat or foam and flat. It was manageable […] but not comfortable. Would definitely not recommend this hotel or ever stay there again. Of course, we only stayed here as a last resort because everything else with a one bedroom suite in the surrounding 20 mile area was booked. I can see why this hotel wasn't. Devamı

The hotel seemed understaffed (never enough food available at breakfast, long waits for them to replenish). Hotels.com stated that there are rollaway beds available. When we checked in, we were rudely told by the front desk clerk that they do not, and never had rollaway beds at any Country Inn and Suites property. Had we known that, I would not have […] booked this property for 2 adults and 3 kids. So website was unclear and hotel staff was rude and unhelpful in explaining situation. I hope that you all read this and look through the other reviews carefully! I travel often with my family and I have to say that this hotel was THE most disgusting one I have ever been to! When we first arrived, my daughter had entered the room having to use the bathroom. My husband was unloading the car and I was with my infant twins. She screamed […] in the bathroom that there was pee on the seat! I just wanted her to use the bathroom because I was watching my babies and thought that it was probably just a drop, but there was URINE all over it! GROSE!!! I cleaned it because I was stuck!!! The room smelled when we turned on the AC and the floor was wet around it. My family must have been tired, but I could not sleep because the AC in the room sounded like a truck was rolling through it. At 1am, I went down to the lobby and asked if they could do anything. They got me an adjacent room, but it was too late to move all of my kids, etc. The next morning, we decided that although the second room smelled terrible with the ac, that at least it was not soooo loud. That bathroom too looked as though it was not cleaned, as I found hair on the floor. I would not even take a shower, but washed my hair and myself with a towel. When I went to dry my hair, the hairdryer got all red and smoked up! I unplugged it and told my family not to plug anything in the outlets. We went to Hershey which was close and when we returned, we were all trired. My infant daughter was walking around when I saw that she had something in her mouth. It was a huge BUG!!!! Now, I went down to the front desk to complain again. My complaint was brushed off as to "Well, it is just a stink bug and we do not use pesticides, so do not worry..." My concern ws totally blown off! When I requested that I receive some sort of compensation, I was told that the manager had been on the phone for hours, when it took me all of 5 minutes to get someone on the phone and that they would give me 15% off my first night! "Great value"
The hotel staff was very friendly and offered to help us find an eating place or anything else we were looking for. They had cookies at the check-in desk and coffee to go with it. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. There is an elevator and luggage valet readily available. The decor was very nice and the breakfast room was clean and inviting.

Nice room for a good price. Few miles from Hershey park, but also within an hour or so from Gettysburg and Lancaster. like having fridge and microwave and also enjoyed hot tub at end of the day

Great service and friendly staff!! The breakfast choices are plentiful and delicious. I would recommend Country Inn Suites to my family and friends.

"Easy off the highway"
We were on our way to Baltimore to catch a Cruise Ship and spent the night here. The room was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was just right to start the day. I would stay here again if the need came up.

This was our first time staying at this hotel chain and it was great. The breakfast was plentiful-fresh fruit salad, eggs, sausage, waffles plus the usual bagel, cereal, etc. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. Easy access from the highway and cookies at check in - yum!

Very much what we wanted in a one night stay close enough to hershey park. Good clean hotel to relax in after a exhausting day with kids at the hershey park. The check in was promt and freindly and gave us all information we wanted. The Pool and hot tub was open till 10.30 at night which was great ! would stay here again in my next visit
Our hotel was far from being full yet when we opened the door to our room it wasn't even cleaned yet from the previous people.

room number 135 Could not use Pool as it was closed, the ceiling was falling in . They told us it would be ready the next day Thats one reason (PICKED) . I went to the desk and told them the room had never been cleaned ,as the shampoo & soap had been left in the shower from last people.Room was dirty ,bathroom ceiling over tub falling in, Wet towells […] as the wall behind them was wet. After checking in, we checked our room for cleanliness, and although the room was clean, the beds weren't. Switched rooms and everything else was great.Hopefully it was an oversite.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left because we were not satisfied with the hotel. They refunded our money for the night we did not stay there. "COUNTRY INN SUITES - AFFORDABLE/CONVENIENT"
Our family recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Harrisburg. This was actually our 2nd time staying there. We stayed over once in the summer. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from Hershey Park. The construction right off the highway makes the traffic pattern a little confusing. The staff was kind and attentive and the rooms were […] very affordable and clean. We were displeased that some of the exercise equipment was out of service and during this particular stay, the continental breakfast was horrible. "Hotel GREAT! Other guests? Not so much."
The hotel was great, the staff was great and the free breakfast was one of the best I have had. The first night and morning was peaceful. But the 2nd night? Tons of people checked in, and LOTS of kids. For over 1/2 hour, from 8:30 to about 9:10 the room next to me was banging repeatedly against the wall, every 1-2 mins. I called the front desk, and […] the banging stopped. I would think that would be good enough, but the idiots next door decided to start the banging at 7:30 a.m. the next morning, and continued till I went to breakfast at 9:00. I could have called the desk at 7:30, but I was desperately hoping to fall back asleep, and knew I wouldn't if I had to get up and walk over to the phone. (A phone next to the bed would be a plus). Kids running in the hall, and lying down in the elevator. None or bad parental supervision. But, not the hotel's fault at all. Devamı

We switched rooms from one room that smelled moldy to another where the bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned. They should also consider spraying for bugs. Steer clear of this place.

"Country Inn & Suites - Harrisburg, PA"
While my overall experience was okay, initially I was greeted with a room that had a distinctly strong "skunk" smell. I was told by staff that all the rooms smelled like that because of the air conditioning having to be used constantly. My stay was for 3 days and I asked for another room because I was not going to be subjected to this stench for my […] entire trip. I was told that they were completely booked; when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that he went home for the day and they could not reach him because it was his anniversary and he would not be answering calls because he was going to dinner with his wife. I was finally given another room after about 20 minutes...this room was 100% better - no strange smells. After I settled down into my new room, I went back to the service desk to express my thanks and that the new room was satisfactory. I was greeted with attitude from the desk clerk - he wouldn't even look off of his computer screen. Staff was not at all concerned about the customer. Devamı
