very old building with some upgrades. very small with window AC. I will never come back. Its like living in a shoe box for $$$$$$$.

The fellow at the desk didnt warn me they are painting, and since they have no elevator I first ruined a nice sport jacket on the wall against the stairs... yes there was one sign... but i feel awareness should have been better... of course the fellow at the desk when asked if there was a dry cleaner nearby only said we could have it picked up in the […] morning... there was a cleaner a block away bathroom sink real slow draining... the bolts which hold down the toilet bowl were gone so you had to be careful not to put too much weight on one side of it... I stayed at this hotel in February and am generally satisfied with it. The location is perfect; a 5 minute walk to the beach and nightlife on Ocean Drive. My only surprise was how small the room was and the bathroom was tiny. Nonetheless, I would still stay here again and would not hesitate recommending this hotel to friends.

This is the best mid-priced hotel I have stayed in on South Beach. Like most the rooms were small but the furnishings were new, the bathroom modern and the staff was very helpful. In room wireless, good cable TV and a location near many good restaraunts.

Great rooms, staff and great location.

Just avoid this place, that's the best advice I can give you.

We had to wait over an hour to check into our room. Our room was noisy from the lobby and street noise. Adding to the noise was the window mounted A/C unit. On the bright side, the location was great.

Booked this at the last minute and was a little nervous due to the reviews. However, I thought it was a very nice, clean, upgraded room/hotel. It was definitely small for 4 people and wouldn't recommend a long stay due to lack of space. Beautiful color schemes, great coffee and breads. Did not miss not having a pool.

Great location, but older building...but then, we come for the art deco buildings. Room was SMALL (like European rooms...ok, by me as we are small too) and clean, bed was comfortable. Shower was clean....good products and Wolfgang Puck coffee. Little things that may bother you - old building means old windows...may or may not close completely. Can […] let in noise. (we were across from Police Dept on 11th vs on Washington Ave...quieter). Old elevator...we just use the stairs. May be an issue if you are handicapped or significantly gear heavy - solution - pack light! Great location walking distance to Espanola Way and Lincold Road Mall as well as 2 blocks from Lummus Park and beach. Parking decks on 12 at Washington, and 16th between Washington and Collins. having visited south beach in Miami on and off for the past fifteen years, I've stayed a various hotels both large and 'boutique' in the area. By all accounts, Wyndam's having refurbished this property is a win win for all involved. They've restored it to a very very comfortable, extremely convenient, restful oasis that is off the fray of Ocean drive, […] but still in proximity to everything that you could and want to do in south beach. A big plus is not only the location, but the beautifully restored patio and outdoor areas and great pool and lounging area as well. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!! THE HOTEL WAS IN A GREAT PLACE NEAR ALL THE SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS BUT THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL - WE HARDLY CAN MOUVE...THE HOTEL IS CLEAN AND NOT TOO MUCH IN

Great Location. Can't believe it is a Wyndham property. It was so not in their league. Commode was coming off the floor. Bathroom floor was filthy.

I arrived to the hotel at 10AM. The staff was very nice, and they held my luggage in the lobby until check-in time. Hotel is only a few short blocks to the beach and not too far for shopping. I would like to point out that the hotel has three separate buildings that are very old looking on the exterior. I stayed in the main hotel. the room was nice, […] but small. The room had a loud air-conditioning unit, and the cleaning staff was very noisy during the day. The hotel offered everything I needed for my weekend stay, I would stay there again if it was cheap. I was in hotel during the second week of December (low season). The room was very nice but there was a weird smell throughout the entire hotel including the room. I guess after 15 minutes you get used to it. The location was very convenient, the personnel was nice, we had extra towels and the room was always clean. The location was GREAT - an easy walk to lots of restaurants (in all price ranges) and the beach, bike/moped rentals and casual shopping. Short walk or ride to Lincoln Rd. Mall and Espanola Way restaurants/shopping. Short term bicycle rental across the street. (Comment - handy and fun :) You don't really need a car if you intend to stay in this location […] and just want to tour around South Beach. Professional sightseeing tours just a block away. My comments about the room mainly concern it's functionality: i.e. the designer of the washroom didn't do a very good job - the shower curtain, although done in very nice matching colors didn't keep the water from the shower going onto the floor (basically it wasn't long/wide enough). Also the wash basin and stand were poorly selected in that they didn't provide any room for any personal belongings such as a shaving-kit or makeup bags or a place to put the hand soap. They didn't even have a decent towel rack/bar/ring - just some cheap hooks on the back of the door (and not even chromed) - guess they ran out of money! The bathroom had lots of room but just a poor design regarding functionality. Talking about functionality, the location of the air conditioner was extremely poor. Who ever puts an air conditioner on the floor?? This one was mounted so low it was barely off the floor - the effect was that it had to work extremely hard to cool the room (totally cooling inefficiency and a waste of energy) Again poorly designed. My biggest disappointment was that the elevator was not working (actually appearing that it hadn't worked in some time). Not a good thing for guests after walking/shopping all day. It would be nice to get a ride up to your floor. Also when I checked in I asked for a quiet room and they told me my room was. However it turned out not to be. It was Room 311. Room was very small for 4 people, it was clean and close to all surroundings. Next to police station which was comforting. The outside area was very nice

Elevator wasn't working, made problems getting luggage on/out a problem!

My stay at the Wyndham Garden Hotel Miami South Beach was enjoyable and a good value for the money given the proximity to the clubs and bars on Ocean Drive and the beach itself. The neighborhood the hotel is in is reasonably safe, but it's all relative anyways since any high-trafficked area like South Beach is bound to have folks from all walks of life. […] It's no worse than any other major vacation beach area, and the Wyndham is actually across the street from the South Beach Police Station, so I felt completely safe. The staff at the hotel was polite and helpful whenever I approached them, and the room itself was very well maintained and clean considering the sheer amount of sand and water beach-going guests must bring into the rooms regularly. I felt comfortable in the room and found the bed no problem to sleep in -- and I regularly find strange new hotel beds hard to fall asleep in. Overall I'd say that this hotel is someplace I'd book at again, and will point my friends to when they visit the area. It's good value for the money, and I was satisfied with my experience there. I was at first a bit apprehensive about the place because of some of the other reviews I had read but when I got there and went to my room, I was blown away. The bed is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and hotel itself was very, very clean. TV was nice, good internet speed and a very friendly hotel staff. Lastly, their location […] is fantastic and I loved the fact that it was right across the street from the Police Station. Apparently, new management took over here four months ago and made many changes. The staff told me that they were in process of making it a 5-Star resort. It is a very good hotel because of it's location, pricing, service and cleanliness. The pool is a wonderful bonus when you are tired of the beach and sand. I strongly recommend this hotel. It is quiet and safe.

Really a great location, Staff very eager to assist. Pool was super. Rooms are a little small, but we adapted.

I don't like to be negative, but this supposed 3 1/2 star hotel was a joke. It really seemed like a 2 star. Some days we didn't get fresh towels until 7pm or later. There were gnats in the bathroom (not just ours). The showers are horrible. Almost no water pressure - and they use those wands which almost never work well (our kept falling). They tried […] to repair it with "tape". Wow. Air conditioner was spotty. Their way of making it better was to turn on the ceiling fan. That helps of course, but that's not a true "fix." While the maids were nice, there were very few of them to handle the work load - and none of them speak English (only the front desk people do). This hotel must have paid someone for the 3 1/2 star rating - that's all I can suspect. They were taken over last year, I think - so maybe next year they'll be better ... but be prepared to be disappointed otherwise. Devamı

The smallish room had a modern and clean look and style with new wood flooring, interesting wall print, a TV and nice desk for laptops. The handheld shower is great for rinsing off sand, but there was no bathtub. They have a distinctive citrus scent in their soaps and the room and hallway air freshener. We happened to like it. I booked the Wyndham for 4 nights and ended up checking out after the first night. The room was filthy dirty and the bed sheets had blood stains on them. I had no hot water and my shower head would not stay up. When I called the front desk they were able to fix the hot water but their solution to fix the shower head was to duct tape it to the top of […] the shower. The towels were so used and worn that they were no longer white. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in a hotel. Devamı

This hotel was pretty good. It was clean for the most part. We had a weird bug issue in our room and they switch us out immediately although they did have security come check to see if we lied or not. The location is great 2 blocks from the beach. Right on a main strip where all the food and stores are. Police station next door so i felt safe. The pool […] was nice and they give you towels for the pool. They don't give much extra and there are NO ELEVATORS. so be aware you could be upstairs. The restaurant is not that cheap but there is a diner right across the street. I didn't eat there but I heard its a good diner. They let me into my room early but they always say they can't promise coming in earlier than 4pm and they do have a little slot in the lobby for bags if you do come early. Hotel Staff were not customer friendly. Poor customer service. Bad attitudes from the desk clerks to the housekeepers.

Great location, for the cost it definitely exceeded my expectations. I was a little concerned after the reviews I read, but I'm glad I considered this hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, quick to help, awesome pool! I also was worried about the comfort of my sleep and I slept very well. The king size bed was very comfortable. very unhappy. Bathroom disgusting. Holes in woodwork in bathroom, shower dirty and not the kind of dirt that can be cleaned. Phone not working. Bedside lamp not working. Recieved discount card from front desk for hotel restraunt and when I tried to use for breakfast was told card did not apply to buffett that I ordered. I stayed with two friends for 6 days, we had to request towels for 5 out of the 6 days. Staff is lazy and slow. They literally wash your exact towels and bring them back every night. ( Tough luck if you want to take a shower during the day) Cheap hotel, small floral decorated rooms. The nearby resturant is slow, very over priced ( even for Miami) and […] not worth your time. This hotel’s location was great - right in the middle of all the happenings on South beach (if you’re into that - bars, restaurants, the beach, shopping) all within a couple blocks. This hotel is very poorly maintained: 1.Hotel elevator was out of service, old furniture, colors, etc were all outdated. 2.The toilet did not work the first time we used […] it. 3.Credit card key access did not work for the fitness center. 4.Many little things like this seemed to not work. 5.Hotel management stated that since "they were at full capacity" they did not have enough towels. Two of three nights we had to call for towels because they were not delivered to the room. 6.The hotel did not have a directory or list of services that were available there or nearby. There are many other hotels in this area. I would try something else before I stayed here again. Don't let the Wyndham name fool you - this is not a high class hotel. Devamı

Great location, three blocks from the beach and most of the nightlife, but still quiet enough to get decent sleep. Hotel management was effective and responsive to any requests we made. The key cards used for access to the room only worked after several attempts. The building we were in wasnt adjacent to the main hotel and when we walked in it smelled like mildew and rain water. We had to practically beg for room service. The staff was kinda rude , especially the lady at the front desk. My reservation was messed up and I only had one […] bed instead of two as requested and the hotel was booked to capacity. The hotel staff was nice and tried to accomodate us as much as they could but the hotel was terrible. The cleanliness of the room was subpar and they had too many issues that they needed to address like lack of towels,staff,etc. Great location if you want to be close to South Beach. location seemed ok but if you walked around you saw plenty of drunks and on washington ave the shops and restaurants are not great. you have to head south towards lincoln to feel safer.

After we managed our parking situation, we carried our own luggage to the Front Desk, and checked-in with a young man who seemed disinterested and distracted. As no Bell Service was offered, we then carried our luggage to our room, which turned-out to be not what we'd reserved - 2 twin beds rather than the 2 Queen beds we expected. The room had been […] updated by under-skilled craftsmen. Sloppy paint and door framing with screws sticking out. The bath had no exhaust fan and the shower curtain was 4 inches short, which caused flooding on the floor.. This hotel is well located and has nice Deco accents. However, we won't stay there again. We met another guest who asked, "We wonder if Wyndham knows they manage this place?" Devamı

First, let me say that all the reviews of this hotel are TRUE. You basically get what you pay for. Cons: Parking Garage: 12th street and $20 bucks per day Small room and bathroom Broken ironing board No ventilation system in bathroom Only 1/2 shower door and curtain Dirty tile in shower Dirty carpet in hotel NO ELEVATOR No Refridgerator No Printer […] in Computer area Touch up paint for rooms and doors greatly needed Pros: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! We only needed a taxi one time and could basically walk anywhere we needed to go. =) Hotel Staff was nice and allowed us to use the printer at the front desk and changed our room at check-in without any hassles. Beds and Linens were clean and comfortable Housekeeping was frequent and friendly Bellhop was friendly and helpful This hotel reminds me of an overpriced hostel. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and you want to stay in a convenient location on South Beach. Devamı

This hotel is 2 short blocks from the beach. Other pros: king bed, decent flat screen TV, nice sink and shower in the bathroom, inexpensive breakfast special at hotel restaurant. This hotel was not 3Stars, it was more like 1.5. No heat in rooms, hotel is just too old. Some rooms are too small. And housekeeping is a joke, just poorly managed overall. It's an ok location for south beach. If you are four college kids on a budget and want to be in the mix this hotel is fine if you want a three star hotel stay somewhere else.
