Hotel Ideal - Napoli

AT this price for the hotel, it is just OK. But bathroom is the worst point where was stink and it looks they never clean it.

This hotel seemed more like a brothel than an actual hotel.

The area was so over run with prostitutes, even though we had already paid for the rooms, we decided to cut our losses and drive to Pompeii and found another place to stay. The neighborhood was horribly dirty, loud, and just felt unsafe.

It's indeed a nice place with very convenient location to everywhere, clean and warm room and very helpful staffs inside so make a try on if you're surveying your accommodation during your stays in Naples.

The hotel is just next to the central station, easy to get there. But it is very noisy, and the room is small, TV doesn't work, no remote control for the air con, it will getting cooler and cooler, strange!

It's convenient to be located within walking distance to the main train & subway terminal in Naples. Rooms are OK but no WiFi in rooms, only in the hallways & breakfast room. Minimal choices at breakfast and no elevators hamper anyone with large luggage.

After reading the several unfavorable reviews of Hotel Ideal and the Piazza Garibaldi, I was bracing for the worst. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised by both hotel and location. Firstly, the hotel did seem a little worn around the edges, but that added to its quirky, unpretentious charm. The staff was friendly and our [smallish] room was comfortable […] enough. Since we were leaving the next day for Pompeii, the proximity to the train station (it's next door) was perfect. The desk clerk even let us stash our packs after check out so that we could further explore the city unencumbered before leaving for Pompeii later that night. Breakfast was nothing special, but there was plenty of it: juice, coffee, toast, cheese, ham, and jelly to fill up on at no extra cost. Again, not high cuisine, but it did the trick. Regarding Piazza Garibaldi: yes, it's a vast and noisy construction site. Yes, the auto traffic is heavy and, to people from the U.S. / U.K., seemingly disorderly. Yes, there is some uncollected trash in places. Yes, there are some shifty-looking characters lurking about. These factors may dissuade travelers used to more upscale (or sterile) vacations. However, we experienced the above as part of the overall atmosphere of Naples: loud, in-your-face, multi-ethnic, achingly alive, and absolutely drenched in history. Don't miss this city -- the Spaccanapoli alone is worth the visit -- just use common sense and a modicum of caution, particularly in Piazza Garibaldi. Conclusion: Hotel Ideal is light years from the Ritz, but it is fine, user-friendly budget accommodation with a friendly staff. Perfect for a night or two for those on a shoestring eager to experience this amazing, electrifying city. Devamı

Excellent hotel for an overnight stop for an early start to the airport as it is just across piazza garibaldi to the alibus stop. Very good value.

The hotel is at a really great location. One can see the hotel from the railway station. Don't expect anything out of the breakfast, which is subpar. Staff is friendly.

Located close to the train station which was convenient since we were traveling by train. The area surrounding the station is not the nicest but it still ok. We could hear the people in the hotel bar through the walls (quite thin) from our room but it was quiet after midnight. Staff was very nice and helpful. This hotel locaes in a convinient place for everything for sightseers.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HOTEL HAS 3 STARS! We are active travelers and have been in several hotels but never like this!!! DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! It's located in the grittier side of the town, expect to find street vendors in front of the hotel. The bedroom door was broken. We wouldn't recommend this hotel. We had TV and fridge in the room which did […] not work! The hotel has wi-fi, but only in the lobby, so if you plan to use the internet be ready to use it in the lobby with terrible accommodation. Be ready to sleep in a hard bad completely dusty, pillows covered with someone’s hair all over, and the sofa was dirty as well. The bathroom was filthy and moldy. This hotel is very basic but ideal for anyone just wanting to put their head down for a night. It is literally across the road from the train station which saves you looking for a taxi if you arrive late at night. There is no lift from the ground floor to first floor so you have to carry your suitcase up the stairs. The street is noisy at night and […] noisy again in the morning from about 6.30am. Ideal Hotel proved again to be suitable and very comfortable at a very good rate. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and in general, the Hotel looks clean at all times. The reception assistants are very helpful with local questions and seem ready to be of assistance at all times. Their smiles help too !! Breakfast is well presented […] by a very pleasant waiter. Wonderful. Very helpful staff. Clean room with daily maid services, private shower/toilet, T.V. with 5 channels, extra blankets. Located right by the train station but very quiet inside. Met other hotel guest in hotel's pub that has free internet/computer. Rough/dirty neighborhood so stayed in at night. Free Bag Check, Left my bags there over night […] while I went to Capri. Before I was even out of the main station I saw the sign for Hotel Ideal. No need to worry about a taxi to get there. It was a 2 minute walk. Location was perfect for train travel, communter train to go to Pompei, ferry to go to Capri was also walkable. I walked to EVERY major tourist sight and several outdoor markets right from the Hotel Ideal. My […] only disappointment was that my room was right next to the bar which made it a little noisy until closing time at 12:30 am. Do not stay in this hotel and possibliy do not stay in naples unless you have to, we were getting a ferry to catania so thankfully we only had one night to stay.

The location is right left side from the Naples Central station. You can find it right away after you come out form the station. The good thing is that breakfast was included with the cheap price. overall, very satisfied with this hotel..

We were 3 young women travelling Italy, and Naples was the last city before returning to the US. Hotel Ideal was, itself, an ok hotel - nothing special, but not really that bad either, especially for the price bracket. Breakfast was included but mediocre, especially after some of the places we'd stayed previously. Piazza Girabaldi was SCARY though, […] and we couldn't find the hotel! (Hint: it's right to the left of the metro station as you're facing it). Pros: Cheap, clean, safe (for all the scariness, Naples is actually a safe city if you take reasonable precautions), wicked close to metro. Cons: Bathroom was clean but old, intimidating neighborhood. If we could do it again, we'd splurge and stay in Sorrento or make a day trip from Rome to see the Pompeii ruins and the Archeological museum in Naples (yes, you can do both in a day). But we did eat at an AWESOME cafe somewhere in Naples walking back from the museum to the hotel - don't remember the name but it was in the Rick Steve's guidebook as museum adjacent. hotel not bad for price paid, staff helpful, but area very undesirable filthy streets can't get passed street traders, nor the bodies lying in the gutter.

Located in a slightly seedy neighborhood (literally steps from the train station), which would not be ideal for a long stay, but is definitely worth it if you're coming in on a late train (like I did), or if you're leaving early in the morning. Even though I was a single female traveling alone, I didn't feel unsafe walking to the hotel from the station […] late at night. The hotel staff was really nice, and spoke English. Devamı

Ubicato in una posizione centrale, permette di raggiungere anche a piedi qualsiasi punto della città. Per il resto è tutto commisurato alla spesa. Lo consiglio a chiunque vuole accontentarsi spendendo poco.

ナポリの中央駅から非常に近いので空港までのアクセスはとても良いが、駅周辺（とくにホテル前）の治安が良いとは言えないので注意が必要。 レセプションはとても親切。 部屋はとても小さく、２人がスーツケースを開けるスペースがないほど。 エアコンは一応ついているが、フロントで一括管理のため温度等の調節はいっさいできない。オン、オフのボタンのみ。夏は思った以上に湿気があり、寝苦しいが、エアコンのききが最悪的に悪い。ドアや窓を開けていた方が涼しい。 部屋にトイレとシャワーがついているのは料金のわりにとてもよい。がシャワーのドアの接続が悪く水が漏れる。

Eu recomendo este hotel. O preço é compatível com os benefícios que ele oferece. Os funcionários sao muito atenciosos, o quarto é bom, apesar de pequeno, e o café da manha tb é excelente considerando a diária... O único problema é que nao tem elevador... mas era o que eu precisava para conhecer Roma e ainda foi ótimo para conhecer as cidades vizinhas, […] ja que o termini fica a 50 metros do hotel... é mesmo muito perto... Mi sveglio il primo giorno con le urla nella sala della colazione (mi ero appena alzato) di una dipendente (bionda) per 5 minuti, trattengo la pazienza e non dico nulla, molto, promette bene il soggiorno. Doccia con ruggine in condizioni igieniche minime, per il resto la stanza è ok, ma i bagni non sono nemmeno da pensioncina da 1 stella. Colazione […] risibile, il primo giorno ho trovato per pure fortuna un pò di crostata quella del discount, i successivi giorni non ho più trovato nulla di dolce, niente frutta, niente yoghurt, niente cornetti niente di niente...solo pan carrè prosciutto formaggio e marmellata. Very close to central station, 20m. Poor breakfast. The room was extremly small, we couldnt move inside. But its cosy with a high ceiling. This is definitly worth the money.

Hotel bien situé,confortable,bon rapport qualité prix par contre petit dejeuner peu confortable en sous sol,ambiance étuve.

pour le prix et a deux pas de la gare, sans être un palace, on ne demande rien d'autre à un hotel : drap propre, literie bonne, accueil correct.

A szálloda jó helyen van, kirándulásokhoz kiindulópontnak megfelelő. A szobák nagyon kicsik, senki ne várjon csodát! A függöny olyan retkes volt, hogy fuldokoltunk a portól. Arra amire használtuk jó volt, de ennyi és nem több. A reggeli nagyon egyszerű és silány!

Läget på hotellet jättebra, nära station o flygbuss. Flera lokalbussar utanför. Shopping o marknad på promenadavstånd. Rummen lite små men rena o fina. Tillbringade inte många timmar där. Enkel frukost med gott kaffe.

Senza ascensore. Arrivare al secondo piano con le valigie è veramente pesante. Bagno non ristrutturato, acqua calda impiega 15 minuti ad arrivare ed è molto poca. Colazione povera. La zona attorno alla stazione è veramente brutta.
