Good location with parking (although on a first come first serve basis). Staff pleasant and helpfull and very comfortable rooms.

Rooms were small. Parking very limited and dificult to get out of. Rooms nice, clean and OK if you were a very small person.

this was a very nice hotel for a Super 8. However, it says it's on the warf, but it's a long ways from the Warf. I was able to Walk to Pier 39 in about an hour. The staff were very helpful and willing to do what was necessery to make my stay comfortable.

Inside room was very clean and nice employees. The location was good even with the limited parking offered. Will recommend.

i stayed for the night with family and realized there was no parking. i had to park on the street which was a hassle. TV was a very good size. water pressure in show was very low. carpet was dirty! but all in all, not bad for the price and good location from pier 39

This is a great location and central to anything you want to see. Free parking is a gamble. We won one night and lost the second night so we had to pay to park in a lot next door. We came to SF to have some fun and this was a great place to rest our head during the adventure.

We loved the location. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Free parking. But we had a room on the third floor with no elevator. Steps were very slippery.

Parking was limited and if you did not have a spot you were left to fend for yourself. It would have helped if we knew this in advance as we checked in late.

First of all, this hotel is not near Fisherman's Wharf. It is near the Marina district and the Presidio area, so the name is misleading. The desk clerk was quite abrupt on check in. The parking, while free is very limited and extremely jam crowded. Don't expect to park your large car, Escalade, Tahoe in there. The room was pretty clean, but the bedside […] lamps were broken, the TV was new, but did not work with the controller, the shower was weak and the carpets were soiled. This was the better of the 3 motels that I stayed in on my Road Trip to California. It has an expensive look, nice ammenities, and was in a very good location: Right next to the Wharf and close to downtown.

The room was clean, the housekeeping service was excellent. (This is the first hotel I've been to that changes shower curtains daily!) The front desk staff were a bit stiff, but answered most questions courteously. My room was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator service. They advertised free parking, but did not disclose that there were only […] 17 spaces. I was a bit miffed about it, but parking was not too hard on the street late in the evening. There is street sweeping early on tuesdays and thursdays, though (fortunately, I stayed thursday and friday night). Otherwise, it was an overall good experience. Devamı

Even thought free parking was advertised there were only half the spaces for the number of rooms. The Desk person advised to go to the pay parking lot next door where parking was $25.00 per night. The breakfast was really except some slices of bread, coffee maker in the room and a cereal dispenser. The TV remote was impossible to figure out. A desk […] clerk came to the room and got it on for the evening. But impossible the next morning. This is a 3 story walk up carrying luggage with no elevator. Will not stay there again. Devamı

My wife and I went to SF last week for a well-needed vacation, and I had carefully selected a hotel from Hotels.com based on recommendations from prior guests and knowledge of the general area. We arrived early, and Mr Patel, the manager was gracious enough to check us into our room before check-in time so that we could be cut loose and start our vacation. […] When we checked in, we found the room to be clean, cool, and comfortable. Every day, my wife and I spent as much time as we could out and active in the city and in wine country. Every night when we came back, we were happy to sleep in a very comfortable king-sized bed, and although we were in a room that faced the street, the street noise was better than manageable- I found it to be soothing, similar to a white-noise generator. My recommendation for folks who can't stand street noise is (first- get more exercise, it's gonna help you sleep) to call ahead and ask for a room off the street, or if you just have to, book a higher room downtown. Just be prepared to pay a premium price for it. I found the Super 8 to be a fantastic value for the money. Even with SF hotel taxes added in, we still got a great place to stay for a bargain rate that we were happy with, and in a location away from all the homeless folks you would trip all over, or airplane noise you would have to endure in other parts of the city where you would get similar room rates. Mr Patel and his staff were very pleasant and made sure to let my wife and me know that they were available to assist with anything we needed. There is a breakfast nook in the lobby, but I'd highly recommend taking advantage of any of the diners, pastry shops, or breakfast joints nearby- get the most of your time in SF (the food here is truly world-class). The one and only downside I saw with the location of this hotel is that it takes a couple of extra minutes to get to SFO than other parts of the city closer to the highway. We stayed here one night June 2011. Room was perfect for us, clean, comfortable and safe. It isn't at all close to Fisherman's Wharf, but thats ok. Near to a cool bar district one street south. Check out the Squat and Gobble restaurant for some good lunch eats and the Bistro closer to the Presidio for quality french quisine in the evening, away from […] the douchebags. Devamı

Convenient location in Marina District, just one block form Chesnut St shopping and restaurants. Room was clean, generous late check out and FREE PARKING and WI-FI. A great value.

In a good location but the hotel itself was disgusting. There were stains on all the surfaces, cigarette burns in the comforter, and a light torn off of the wall. It smelled bad and looked unclean. The hotel was a dump. The only good thing about it was the free parking (although it was first come first serve) and I never would have stayed there for […] more than one night. Devamı

Rooms of older hotels are always smelling. My recommendation is, replace the carpet after a while

Remodel about two years ago and everything is new and very nice. Rooms are small but for single or double it is fine. I was amazed how nice it was. Went down to office every morning and told them were I wanted to go and they showed me on a map how to reach it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. The outside of the hotel does not look great, but the rooms have been renovated and are very decent for the price. "Fishman's Wharf" is a little misleading- it is actually several miles but a quick bus ride. Free parking was limited but we arrived several hours before check-in and we told we could go ahead […] and park there and come back later which was nice. Overall, a very good value. Devamı

Parking is limited on premises. Parking is allowed on street if you can find one, but need to move it by 9am!

We were happy to be able to find a room close to the Mount Zion Hospital for easy early morning appointment arrival. A good selection of restaurants within walking distance made our stay that much better.

Plus: clean, newly renovated. Minus: location is not quite fishermans warf. It's a 30 minute walk. Better off getting a cab. Noise isolation is really bad.

Motel was good value for money in SF. Room was comfortable and clean. Bus services within 100 metres. Shops, diners etc very close by. We left our car at the motel for the 4 days we were there! Only negative was the front desk lady.. very abrupt and not at all welcoming or helpful when we arrived early. "Don't come back before 2 o'clock" On 2 other […] ocassions I said good morning to her, she did reply but didn't bother to look up and make any eye contact ! Devamı

I was very pleased with the Super 8 for the price I paid. I was looking for a downtown hotel with free parking, and that's what I got. The room was neat and clean, though not very large. Obviously didn't need a huge room because I was in San Francisco! No need to be in the room at all! I was surprised that the room was complete with a flatscreen TV, […] DVD player, fridge and microwave. Many nicer hotels don't even have those things these days in an effort to cut costs. Met all of our expectations and, whilst no restuarant - IHOP is close by. Only negative is that for a motel; with Fisherman's Wharf in it's title - it's not that near.

The rates were very reasonable, and I was very surprised at how clean and nice the room was. The maids and hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the parking; it is a tiny lot that has not near enough spots for everyone. We ended up just leaving the car in a spot the whole trip and taking the […] bus around everywhere, which is much easier than driving around the city anyways, so it worked out. Devamı

Super 8 is clean, quiet and well maintained. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well as a few that deliver to this motel. Parking is in a courtyard and as a result is a little tight, not meant for larger vehicles.

Not Near Fisherman’s Wharf at all!!! I must make this clear it was a 45-minute walk to the wharf. Why not drive you ask, good question. Because the free parking was so limited that we were afraid we would not have a parking spot to return to if we gave our spot up. The room was decent but the Television did not work at all although it appeared to be […] a nice brand and type, it would have been nice to watch it. The continental breakfast was a joke. I noticed the cereal actually sitting on the counter the night we checked in so who knows what kind of condition it was in. After we took a meager amount of food back to our room the next morning my children were still hungry and went back for seconds. When I went to check out the woman at the counter was very rude and complained about my children coming back for seconds. I told her that they were still hungry and had actually brought food up to the wife and I. She then reversed her story and said it was not a problem then continued to gripe about it. I finally told he she needed to stop complaining to me. My children also told me she requested they refill the pastry dish when the got their pastries. I asked them if she had bothered to thank them for doing this and they told me no. I asked her about this and she lied and told me they filled the dish with what they wanted to ( not sure what this means) and that she had thanked them. I did not take my children on vacation to have them become servants of the Super 8 hotel desk clerk. This lady was completely out of line and had no right to speak to me the way she did. She told me the food is not there for one family and I replied we have a right to eat too. The evening clerk who checked us in was nice but this lady was another story. I will make all efforts to never stay at this hotel again. If it was the only hotel available I would rather sleep in my car. Devamı

The rooms where fairly good. Washroom was modern and updated but decoration was a bit cheesy. The breakfast was a joke and included a few pieces of bread and other basic food items and the staff where quite unhelpful, but the motel did the job in terms of offering a clean place to stay.

It is difficult to find an affordable hotel that is clean, well kept, and has all the ammenities. This one does. We will stay there again.

Room was great, has most things you will need! although it was a little small. Reception smelt really strongly of curry so this turned us away from the breakfast.... staff were a bit unfriendly but efficient. Overall not a bad area, 30 min walk to fishermans warf.

Great Centralized Location! You can walk to most downtown destinations from here. Very clean room and newly remodeled. Friendly family run front office. Only negative was the extra-compact mini parking stop situation. (Luckily we drove our Honda Fit :)

inexpensive, good location, parking included, plenty of resturants nearby - how good do you want it? This was great as long as you aren't looking for room service and a view.

Sometimes a bit too loud during the night as the hotel is next to the highway. But the room and bed were very comfortable and some busses leave around the corner (even the one to the Golden Gate Bridge). We would stay here again.

We arrived late at night, but there was still a lady on the counter so we could easily check in. The room was nice and clean and equipped with a flatscreen and HD Cable. In the bathroom there were clean towels and everything was very clean. And considering the price per night it was a big, well equipped room. The only let-down was the fact, that the […] window was headed towards the street and since Lombard is also the Hwy 101 in this area, it was a bit noisy, even at night. The Parkig lot has video surveillance, so we parked the car for the weekend and explored SFO by foot/BART. Right across the street is a bus stop, so you practically don't need your car at allanyway, since public transportation is really good. I would completely recommend the Motel, since it's in a great location, good shape and not very expensive.Of course if you wan't a place with roomservice and a lot of amenities you're in the wrong place, but then again you wouldn't be looking for a Super8 anyway ;) Devamı

The hotel was nice, staff friendly, room big and comfortable (given its price). We had a room with windows facing to Lombard Street (there are just couple of such rooms) - it was definitely better view during daytime than having to watch a backyard, but at night it was very noisy, even with closed windows. Next time I would ask for another room. And […] one more thing: it's NOT at Fisherman's Wharf, rather it's in the Marina district, which is also OK. This Hotel is nowhere near Fisherman’s Wharf! If you’re looking for a hotel within reasonable walking distance of the Wharf area, THIS IS NOT IT! They claim this in the hotel title, but it’s a false lead. It’s at least 2-3 miles west of the Wharf area and much closer to the Presidio or Golden Gate Park areas. The check-in clerk actually debated me on […] the proximity of the hotel and claimed that it was in the wharf district! There is not a pier in sight of this place. The parking is a joke. The hotel has twice as many rooms as it has parking spaces. And good luck if you driving an SUV. The spaces are tight and short. Rooms were clean enough, but I won’t be back. Devamı
