The hotel was extremely outdated. For half the price I could have stayed at a motel that would have been better. I thought staying at an 'inn' and not a chain would be pleasant, but I was wrong! No amenities, it smelled funny, for the price I definitely could have stayed in a nicer place.

I would not recommend unless you're in a really tight budget. Furniture is strictly thrift shop variety. Stains galore on floors, walls, etc. Not a crack house, but a star and a half is being optimistic.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by a seemingly clueless young man at the front desk. He was not helpful at all. When we finally got our rooms, they were not what we had reserved-when I called downstairs to ask to get the correct rooms-the young man answered the phone "Yo". I was then told that he had given our rooms away, and couldnt help […] me any further, then he proceded to yell at me. I was very unhappy that not only did I pay extra for 3 rooms, I was told they gave my rooms away "because how was he supposed to know if I would show up?" I figured reserving them and paying in advance meant that they would be my rooms when I arrived. Needless to say, I wil not be staying there ever again. Devamı

Slept well...beds very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was very weak.

This motel shows its age, but our room was clean and adequate for the price we paid. The clerk was not in when we arrived, and we had to wait 10 minutes for her to return to check us in, and there were no freshly baked cookies as the motel flyer advertises.

The only redeeming feature was that the hotel was conveniently located for our trip. The rooms were outdated. The side chair was ripped and stained. The bathtub was chipped and there was no shower head. I will not stay there again.

Cannot beat the value. Upon check in we were upgraded to a refurbished room. The furniture looked.like any other nice hotel. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean. For the price would definitely stay here again bot the location is a bit far from downtown. Staff was very nice and açcomodating

This place is just a room to sleep (if you can) Beds where uncomfortable with flat pillows, old TV's with odd remotes controls. No coffee makers in the rooms, however; they did supply coffee at the front desk with fruits and pastries and cookies. (not all was lost). the only thing I would request is that there was a coffee pot in the room. We were quite a distance from the lobby, would have been nice to not have to go there for morning coffee

Our room smelled like bug spray. Also, the heater was broken which we did not find out until we needed it in the middle of the night. When we complained in the morning they said it was scheduled for a new heater and they would move us to a new room. My question was why they would put us in that room in the first place. Since we had to book at the last minute, this was one of two hotels that was within my price range and I don't regret my choice at all. Their beds were comfortable, and they even had a microwave and a fridge, which came in handy when we ate at Margie's Diner right next door for one breakfast. Was looking for a reasonable rate a comfortable bed for a 2 nite stay. Too expensive for 2 nites even though it was summer rates. Outdated hotel with a TV without the free HBO. This hotel was over priced during the summer seasons - about double to triple the price of that in the winter. The room was large, a double queen, but smelled like bug spray. The beds were hard, the pillows were flat. The towels were the thin white gym towels or wipes. The shower dribbled out water, but at least worked. Third time staying at the Rose Garden. Always clean and comfortable. Beautiful grounds. A little surprised no breakfast was available one morning, but a great diner is next door.

The bed was very comfortable and cleanliness is a plus for us. We would recommend this hotel to any locals who have visiting guests!! Thanks for thinking of our comfort.

We were pleasantly greeted at the front desk. We were quickly checked in. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel to everyone we know. Thank you so much.

friendly comfortable a "diner" right next door - close to freeway - one computer - wi-fi - free parking - yes, that is becoming more and more like a dinosaur -

We were very pleased with our two day stay. The bed was very comfortable and I was delighted that they included a nice comfortable side chair with an ottoman to curl up with my a.m. coffee. They also included a microwave and a mini fridge; rare find. The pool area was also delightful. All around this inexpensive place gets a 10

clean, comfortable, love the roses, musty odor.

The hotel was very nice & they have a gorgeous garden of roses & fuschias. It was clean and comfortable & the day manager David was extremely helpful. Hotel. com says they have an airport shuttle but that is not correct. They have a shuttle only for specific clients. David said he would make an exception & take us to the airport and he did- at 7:00am. […] We really appreciated that! Devamı

We stayed at the Rose Garden during a very busy weekend in San Luis Obispo. Most other hotel/motels in the area were much more expensive or filled - so I picked this place. The hotel was good for what we paid. We had a microwave and fridge in the room. Walls were a little thin but not a big problem.

This hotel is very affordable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a musty smell in the halls, but it has improved from the 1st time we stayed there. Beautiful gardens and nice pool area. A hot tub would be nice though.

It had signs saying not good for pregnant women, my wife is pregnant, this seems like something to be mentioned, it also smelled of cleaning supplies and had very thin walls. We did like it being close to margies since they didn't have a real breakfast. Its a nice hotel for the price.

It is a good to this price. It is really close to everything.. I did't use the facilities (Pool) because, It was too cold

check-in was very simple and friendly. no problems. contrary to other negative reviews i found this hotel very clean, noise free, and modern compared to other low -priced places. double the value as far as i'm concerned. room was spacious. it had a small fridge, microwave, iron w/ ironing board!, hair dryer. even a comfortable bed. i had no need to […] contact staff since all i needed was in the room. check-out is at eleven. no maids until you check out. i will definitely book again. more so that it is one of the lowest priced hotels around that town. right of freeway. margies restaurant is good food food, but VERY pricey due to the portions. way too much food for one person. i recommend buy one entree and share. or else you'll be leaving half your plate. rose garden is highly recommended for it's dollar value. you won't be embarrassed if you take company. best of all the value hotels out there. When I booked this motel, I fully expected a bare-bones, budget motel, and that is what it was. It is 1.5 stars for a reason - it is just a place to put your head at night. The walls are thin and you can hear everything that goes on in & around the motel. But again, THAT IS WHAT I EXPECTED. The Rose Garden Inn at San Luis Obispo is a great hotel for the price. You can't expect the Ritz when the rate so low!! It's a bed and a shower in decent surroundings - what else do you need! I would recommend the Rose Garden to everyone!

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to Cal Poly and it was move in weekend for our child. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and felt it was a well worth the room rate. Will stay again on next visit to San Luis Obisbo.

Just what I expected. But there was a continental breakfast free!

Rooms are non-smoking, but the walls and carpet stink to cigarrette. Bathroom smell to mold and humidity. The towels holder was broken.. pillows were old and flat. In general, maintenance left much to desire. Motel 6 is across the street with new rooms and better standards, we might stay there better next time.
