Very nice, great location.

Nice, but bathroom was quite small. Haardly room between toilet and tub. If I was 6' tall, I wouldn't fit. Hotel staff was not very knowledgeable about restaurants to visit.

Great location, close to Keeneland. Cool old architecture in lobby. Good bed. Room not clean though; large stains on carpet, carpet not swept (big dust bunnies), wallpaper peeling from wall. Bathroom vanity very, very small; could not fit my toiletries (I don't have many). Will not stay there again due to condition of carpet (grossed me out). I had always heard wonderful things about this hotel growing up around Lexington but I was very disappointed when I actually stayed there. The shower curtain had mold and the shower head was about to come out of the wall and could not be adjusted. Room was very stuffy and we couldn't get the heat / air to work properly. Crowne Plaza has a responsibility to inform potential customers with young children that the in-hotel bar has a drag show on Sunday evenings. Our room was situated so that the entrance to this bar and the entrance to the pool was shared with the patrons and contestants to this drag show. What an unfortunate thing to have to explain because my children […] wanted to go swimming after Sunday night Mass. I'm certain that this event was planned before Saturday when we checked in, but we were not informed. Being accommodating to all should have anticipated that children do not need to experience drag performers smoking and talking suggestively outside while they are going to and from their room. Fortunately, Lexington offers many hotel choices, because I will not stay here again. Devamı

Overall, a great over-night stay with my family..

I was not that pleased with the Hotel there was no early check in the parking was terrible they were having a social gathering and there was no parking and the security was very poor you can enter in and out of the doors as u please. If you stayed at the Hampton Inn you will need a key to enter the building after hours was not happy with the hotel

Overall a nice hotel with very good dining onsite. The only two negatives were overall the temperature was very chilly throughout the complex and the swimming pool looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time which kept me from taking a dip.

Was very relaxing and outstanding gift shop, will definetely stay there again.

I personally did not like that the entire hotel smelled of smoke even though most of the rooms are non smoking. I also thought the room I was staying in was going to have two double beds and a pull out couch, but there was no couch. However the staff was very accommodating and sent up a rolling bed (which reeked of smoke and mildew). I also did not […] know that this hotel is known for being haunted...I did not see or hear anything scary myself, but I heard stories from other guests. Overall, the location is convenient, staff is accommodating, the price was reasonable and if you are someone who enjoys the thrill of haunted locations this place is great, but if the smoky smell bothers you and you are terrified of ghosts then I would not recommend staying here. The room they put me in was too close to the lounge. I heard people talking all night long. I guess this is a good place if you want to live it up with your pals, but not so good if you have to work the next day. Other annoyances- the toilet leaked, so every ten minutes or so the tank would refill, loudly. I turned off the water, so no big deal. Also […] a problem was the fact that the lamp and fridge were plugged into the only outlet under the desk, so I couldn't plug in my laptop on the desk and the coffee maker sat lifeless on the desk. Again, not a big deal to unplug the other things, but also not a big deal for the hotel to invest in a power strip. The TV is a CRT, so bring a book if you can only watch HD these anymore. Devamı

The Crowne Plaza Lexington room was not very clean, the decor was very outdated and the whole hotel smelled of smoke. I will never stay there again! Also when you turned the water on in the bathroom it smelled like sewer. It was not an enjoyable experience.

We needed a hotel near the Lexington Center. This was a little pricey, but the accomodations did live up to the cost. The beds were very comfy and the room was tidy. One criticism would be hallway sounds; not sure if the doors are thin, but we could hear everything that happened in the hall. I remember this being a wonderful property from several years ago but it seems to have fallen into a decline. The room was not ready at the advertised check in time, the carpet was stained, the fabric on the Ottoman was ripped, the grout in the tub was discolored from mildew, and the room had a strong smell of too much fbreeze. We also had the Sunday […] brunch. Many of the strawberries in the fruit had mold and ugly blemishes and I lost my appetite. For the cost I expected an omelette station and something more than a few sterno trays. Have eaten better at much less expensive places. Overall I was disappointed. The front desk manager asked us if we would be willing to give them another try and comped our next stay. She stated that they are working hard to bring the property back to it's previous glory. Exceptional food in the restaurant as well as other staff.

Crowne Plaza Lexington is an older but well kept property. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was roomy and well kept up and amenities were very nice. Pool was closed upon our arrival (something which should have been noted on the website) They had arrangements at a local Holiday Inn Express for you to swim but not as nice as the one […] at the Plaza and several blocks away. The business center printer was not working and no one seemed to know or care about when it would be up online again. Quite frustrating as we were there for UK student check in and needed to print off several maps for the new students and parents in our party. Had to go to the university and use their facilities. It was only a few blocks south of the university which made it convenient for our business in Lexington this weekend. Overall a quaint nice older hotel but nothing outstanding to make you stay again. Next time visiting Lexington I will stay at the Marriott Griffin Gate like we had originally planned. Devamı

Big rooms, but hotel is getting a little dated.

This is a very outdated hotel and in need of major updating. It has the potential to be an outstanding hotel but it is not there yet. The hallways and rooms smell of tobacco and the common furniture in the lobby is filthy. Crowne Plaza needs to spend money to update. The only saving grace of the hotel is the staff. Air Conditioner didn't cool room. Poor choice of color scheme throughout hotel - very dark and gloomy. Rooms and hallways look like they haven't been remodeled since the 70s. Rooms ware crowded with furniture and it didn't make sense. Time to hire a professional and it would look better if they would seal all the holes in the walls where they have retrofitted […] hotel with sprinklers. You think smoke won't travel through that? Ok hotel expensive ,but had temperpedic beds which were Nice. Had to pay to go to hotel bar on Friday and Saturday night , think if you are a guest you should get in free. old bathrooms not that great location. downtown Lexington hyatt or Hilton better for just walking around.

internet was free and was the fastest internet i've ever had in a hotel. i had a great experience with the service here. food in restaurant leaves something to be desired, but no matter. shuttle was convenient and fast. lavender linen spray was a lovely touch.

Great location to UK, the stadium and the Veterans Administration Medical Center. However, if you are interested in something close to downtown, this is about 1.5 miles away. 20 mins from Lexington airport was very convenient. Staff were very cordial and focused on the customers. The hotel was very beautiful and well-maintained considering its age. The staff was very pleasant and the location was perfect for our trip. My only annoyance was having to request more towels. We booked 3 adults in the room, but were given only 1 bath towel. The front desk did not answer our call, so after traveling downstairs to the desk, a staff […] person brought us our additional towels 5 minutes later. I believe the hotel should have prepared our room for our needs, and 1 towel is not enough for a room designed for 2-4 guests. Devamı

Be aware this is an OLD hotel and very dark. However it was very quite and the wirless was great. It was November and very warm and the AC was off... and it could use a deep cleaning especially the floors.

refurbished older hotel. Great beds . great hot browns

Very convenient to where we were going. Our daughter attends the University of Kentucky and it was very close to the university, The beds were very comfortable.

The hotel is old but the service is great and it is very clean. They give you sleep aids which are nice to have (lavender linen spray, ear plugs and eye mask).

We walked in to the hotel and the guy at the front desk was very helpful and nice. He told us where to go and the features of the hotel. Our room was not very hard to find. The beds which were foam, were very comfortable. The only problem with the room was the tv. Some channels would static out and then come back on. The room was fairly big. It was […] centrally located, one mile from the UK campus. There was several restaurants nearby including Arby's, Logans, and Dunkin Doughnuts across the street. We booked the breakfast buffet with the room. It was VERY good. The pool looked nice, even though we forgot our swimsuits. The hotel also had a gift shop and a business center, even though the computers were kind-of slow. But there was Wireless internet available. Be careful not to get lost in the hallways like we did. This was the cheapest hotel on game day with a pool. We were not disappointed. I recommend. Devamı

They overbooked and put us in a smoking room that smelled terrible!

We arrived late on Saturday night expecting a non-smoking room. Wrong. We were given a smoking room. It was so far away from the lobby that we did not go back to change it. The bathroom was so small that you had to climb over the toilet to get the door closed. The next morning I spoke with the person at the desk about our non-smoking room. Her answer […] to me, "What do you want me to do?" I told her I wanted a non-smoking room. Our room was changed to a much larger room with a slightly larger bathroom. Devamı

I was extrememly dissatisfied with this hotel. The housekeeping service was poor. We did not receive sufficient towels, toiletries were not replenished and the room was not cleaned properly. On the first night of our stay there was a party on the floor below us and the music was playing so loudly that no one could sleep. Even after many complaints from […] hotel guests to the front desk, the loud music continued until late into the night. There was no ice in the ice machine and no sodas in the soda machine. This was true on several floors. Fortunately on the last night, because there was going to be a wedding below us, we were moved to an upgraded room on the newer wing of the hotel (4 yrs old). This room was spacious and clean. The ice machine and soda machines were working. It seemed to be managed by a different set of rules. If you must stay at this hotel, only stay in the newer, upgraded rooms or you will be very disappointed. Devamı
