OK for the money. Smoke alarm started beeping at 3:00 AM, so I really didn't sleep much.
Although i had pre-booked and paid for the room, the hotel tried to scam me into paying more to them for a room with a micro fridge which i had already paid for and had the reservation sheet to confirm. They said Hotels.com had made a mistake - htey don't have Queen bed with microfridge for the price i had paid. In the end i had to take a double with […] micro fridge because they refused to give me my queen bed with micro fridge Devamı
Hotel Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I was there on a business trip and was not looking to spend a fortune on a room. I am happy to report that my room was clean, nice and I was really surprised to find a refrigerator and microwave in my room. You can't beat the value. I would definitely stay here again!
"Better than expected"
From the very friendly girl at the reception to a surprisingly clean room, it was actually better than expected for a super 8, but...it IS a super 8. Is fine as long as you don't expect The Ritz. Can't beat the price for a few hours sleep, also it was very centric, not bad.

"worst two days of my life"
It is no exaturation to say that I have never stayed in such deplorable conditions in my life. Our reservation was non smoking...only had smoking. They gave us several keys so we could pick out which room...their words..smelled the least. The entire complex..in a nice neighborhood..was liked a demiliterized zone. Tub plug had to be closed at nite to […] keep cockroaches from racing in tub...both beds had dents in center over 12 inches deep. Slept in our car third nite rather than room. Floor was filthy---shower handle did not work properly, and couldn't shut the water off fully. Sheets looked like they had been used while someone was changing oil. A/C did not generate cold air. Had to set the temp below 70, and it still couldn't bring the room down below about 78. Loud explosion in the parking lot at 2-3 in the morning. Who knows […] what that was. All in all, a bad motel experience, and would not recomment it to anyone planning on staying there while in Sarasota. Devamı
"I would recommend staying here...."
Softball tournament led us down to Sarasota and we ended up staying at Super 8...very pleased...such friendly staff and ver y accomodating. If in the area again...I would stay here! Very pleased for the money!
"Great location for Ringling Museum"
We wanted to visit the Ringling Museum and this hotel was the perfect spot as it was within walking distance. Staff were helpful and could recommend places to eat at night. Breakfast was the only down side... not very much on offer compared to other Super 8's. Could not get wifi in our room, but could get it in reception.
The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The A/C unit was the best I have ever encountered in a hotel for being efficient and quiet.

I found the hotel was clean comfortable. It is an older hotel but in good condition. The breakfast is not the reason you there but there alot great places for breakfast close by. The staff was very friendly to me and made I had what I needed. It is a place I will stay again.

This hotel is a good value. It has the normal comforts without being fancy. It was good to find something in this price range in Sarasota.
"Sarasota Super 8"
Just needed a place to sleep while traveling for work. This place was inexpensive nad fit with company policy. Nothing fancy. I was concerned when I read other reviews, but this was after I booked. I was relieved to avoid the bed bugs.

This hotel was absolutely horrible!! The staff was rude and slow! The vending machines in the hotel honestly looked as though they hadnt been restocked for 10 years and they didn't work! Worst hotel stay ever. Had to sleep in towels from my car because the sheets made me itch so bad, rudest hotel staff, worst excuse for a "breakfast" at any chain. Worth half the quoted rate per night at best. Be ready to check out 1/2 hour before check out time and be treated like a shoplifter when you turn your key in.

this hotel sucked and . the tv speakers were not working . i have nothing against deaf peaple but i am not a big fan of closed caption. and the loby personel told me that i couldnt drink the coffe from the lobby. i mean really?.

The things in the room that could be cleaned, bed, sink, toilet, shower, were clean, at least, mostly. There was water damage in the ceiling that looked like they sprayed some paint over and that's it. The room smelled musty--maybe the water damage needed to repaired better. The curtain was almost wide enough to cover the window after I attached one […] side of it to the rod. The floor lamp was barely attached to the base and the shade wasn't attached at all. I tightened the lamp to the base. If I could do it, I think the maintenance person or anyone else at the hotel could have done it. I think it is a matter of just not caring about quality. Devamı

Stayed in room 201 and just concerned with the toilet plug letting the water run and wasting it and also running up their water bill. I mentioned it before we left and she went to check on it. Nice people. We checked in and were shown some things to check out.

On first appearance, the room looked clean, however, I found a used towel and washcloth on the shower rod in the bathroom. I don't mind reusing towels during my stay, but not a previous guest's. This has never happened before. Overall, the hotel is clean, well maintained and comfortable....a good value.

The bathoom, shower was super clean! The air conditioning was already turned on in anticipation of my arrival, which was a nice touch. The only negative was that there was no one at the front desk after midnight and was directed to a neighbor motel/hotel to pick up key (for late check-in) and there was no wake up call due no one in the front office. Pros: people were very nice and the room was clean. Cons TV didn't work well had to hit it on the side to get a full picture and couldn't turn closed captioning off and bathroom was tiny.

Room was not what the ad listed. The room was old & the plumbing in the shower was terrible. The area was not what I would recommend. It was next door to what some would call a flop house for drugs & prostition. Pretty scary to walk to the resturant to get your food.

Arriving at the hotel was easy and convenient. The clerk was friendly and helpful. Opening the door of room # 116 was an eye opener. The first thing was the smell, it stunk so bad I had to open the door and get some fresh air in. I went to turn on the air conditioner to get some air in the room and I could not read the dials because the printing was […] worn off the control buttons. After about an hour, the room smelled better. The shower was dripping and the floor mat hanging on the side of the tub was soaked. I did like the shower, it was relaxing. beds were old and worn out. Towels were worn out or of very poor quality.

Hotel was run down and needs serious updating. Rooms were old and dirty, bed was extemely uncomfortable. Felt like you were sleeping on a cot.
