Still had trouble finding the entrance...drove past it twice..very quite and clean

A friend of mine and I stayed in this Super 8 Motel in Plattsburgh last week and were disappointed because the beds were visibly worn and deteriorated and the sheets in my bed had stains and hair - Yuck! When I brought this to the attention of the night manager, he promptly moved me to a new room, but that one smelled strongly of clorine bleach, which […] altough it did help me feel like it was cleaner than the first room, it did make getting a good night sleep more difficult. We probably should have asked to be moved one more time, but it was already too late, and we were just too tired after our long drive. Only reason we stayed was late booking and only hotel accepting dogs. Needs total renovation, better choices exist.

The room was supposed to be a non smoking room and it smelled smoke so badly!! It was gross!!

very good, the maintenence staff quickly responded to a problem with the toilet flush. The reception lady is very polite and gave good directions to Ausable chasm. The complimentary breakfast was good with english muffins/ bread/milk/cereal/juice/coffee.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable and they looked awful, stained, and old. The carpets were dirty, stained, and actually dirty around the edges where the vaccuum didn't meet. The cleanliness was just scary and I was uncomfortable all night long and couldn't wait to leave in the morning. There was dirt or something on the bathroom sink and it was […] just really not a clean place. The staff was pleasant on check in which was the only plus of the place other than location. It felt like I was staying at some cheap dirty hotel in an underdeveloped country, honestly. I had my children with me and that made it worse as I was worried about them (and I did certainly check for bedbugs and found none) but I woudn't have been surprised to see them. The room was quite clean, but everything seemed old and there were some rust stains in the bathtub. But we didn't expect much so it was fine and we had a good nigt of sleep.

I thought everything was comparable to other hotels in the area. I had read other reviews and was wondering. Yes the pool was closed (but it sure looked operational from the window???). The hotel and room looked in good shape, with only minor dated items (one suggestion is while most items have been updated, I would recommend to follow up on the minor […] cosmetics too, such as flush seats). Overall it was quiet in the hotel (much less noise as compared to other hotels in the area); plus it was very close to a gas station (although I didn't need any) that may be a convenient advantage for other travelers. The super 8 in plattsburgh ny was the worst hotel I have ever been to.the room was dirty. The sheets were dirty, it had stains. The vents for the bathroom heating vent was filled was dirt/dust/grim. The floor in the room was dirty.the hotel has never been updated, the 1970's or before. Very dissappointed the pool was closed till further notice!! This should be posted on their website!! When i book a room, thats the first thing i look for, is a pool!! I would not have booked 2 rooms,at this hotel, if i knew there was NO POOL!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, basic breakfast in a quiet location off of the main highway. Good resting spot if you are heading into Montreal.

We stayed there twice, it was alright. The second time the room had a strange smell, it was like someone had a dog there previously and the hotel sprayed something to try to cover up the smell, other than that it was fine. I would stay there again and would recommened others to stay there also.

This hotel was the worst Super 8 I have ever stayed in. The room was oddly arranged (sink was in a strange location), and everything in it was incredibly old and dirty. We did not want to sit on the couch. The bed was horrible-- we woke up sore the next day. I was concerned that we might actually get sick from this room. The hotel was not well maintained. The carpet in the room was stained and had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The pull out couch was filthy and had cigarette burn holes on it. The pool was closed until further notice. The entire hotel had ill odors wherever you were. Front desk was nice and very accomodating. Room was ok. Bed, I recommend bringing your own sheets and pillowcase and a pair of flip flops. Room came with a fridge and microwave, there was no iron or ironing board. Only stayed for a night and I think that is probably as much as I could bear. Overall it was ok.

Stay here only if you have no other place in the area. You'll get a night's sleep, but that is about all. It has the ambience of Fort Knox, the hallways are dingy, dark, and smell like mildew. The indoor pool is closed as of now.

This hotel may be the onky game in town but for what we paid per night the room should at least be clean. The front desk personell where great and changed out our first room when my wife found hair in the bed. The second room was better but both had furniture that was stained and old. This is no more than a 1 star hotel.

Staff is bi-lingual (French-English) which is excellent for that area so close to the Province of Quebec and the City of Montreal. Everything was just as we expected it to be.

Further to the comments I've already made about the lack of upkeep in this hotel such as replacing very old and dirty carpets and the state of the rooms, this hotel is not situated close to even one restaurant or store. Close to SUNY Plattsburgh so location was great but beds were hard. Maid was not sure if she should make up room as we were there for two nights (might have been her youth) and then when we said yes, we were told to step out of room.

This motel is fine for the price...it definitely needs a major updating and renovation as it is kind of run down. However, the room was VERY clean and people were friendly and nice but they need to provide some new pillows!

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly... and the free breakfast was perfect! Using my Tom Tom GPS was kind of hard to find this location, had to call to get the right directions to the hotel!

A very nice clean, quiet place to stay for 6 nights I was there. Located right off Interstate 87 traveling to nearby places was a snap. I normally go to this area 3-5 times each year and this will be my first choice from now on. Food, shoping, beaches, parks, and absolutely everything you need within reason is all 5 minutes or less away.

I had my sister's graduation and a lot of the better known hotels were already booked. I wasn't too happy about booking at a Super 8 but I really didn't have a choice. It was 2 exits away from the college which was like a 10 minute drive back to campus which was fine. The rooms were a little outdated but none the less clean. It served it's purpose as […] we only went there to sleep and checked out before the ceremony. The staff was friendly and helpful and everyone was pleasant. For the price I really can't complain, usually hotels inflate their prices around graduation time but it was a pretty decent rate. My only real beef with the hotel is that all the entrances to the hotel were unlocked, meaning you can enter the hotel anywhere, your key is only for your room, coming from out of area I didn't feel that was really safe but upstate isn't the same enviorment that I'm used to. Ne pas se fier aux photos du site hôtels.com pour faire une réservation à cet hôtel. La bâtisse a plus de 10 ans. Par contre, les chambres sont propres et le personnel semble venir du fin fond de la campagne. Par contre, aux prix que nous payons, il ne faut pas s’attendre à un 5 étoiles

la piscine est très bien. a quelque Km de la ville. On y retournera.

Assé bien pour qualité prix économique près de l'autoroute 87 nous permettant de se rendre facilement dans les Centres d'achats et situé sur la route 9 nous conduisant vers le centre-ville et à proximité des traversiers. J'y retournerais mais je demanderais une chambre sur le premier plancher.

hotel très ordinaire,sans plus ,disons que la propreté laisse a désirer,mais etant donné le prix payer cela peut s endurer ,sauf que je ny retournerai surement pas.notre xhambre a nous était mieux que celle de nos amis (dégouliise sur les murs )pres du lit ,tapis ......un hotel pour dormir une nuit disons c est tout ,pas une semaine .en arrivant disons […] qu il aurait interet a laver les portes d entrées vitre tellement sales quon ne voyait pas a travers cela commencait bien...
