Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy - Kapaa

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment and were there a week. It was very nicely furnished, quiet, great place for the price. The only issue was that therer is no elevator and we were on the third floor.

This is a lovely small , quiet resort right on the ocean. Great for families . Large condo units that have been updated. If you want a party scene, this is not the place for you . If you want serenity and to enjoy the beauty of Kauai , this is the place to go . You will be invited to a timeshare presentation but it was low key . Our room was nicely decorated, convenient with small fridge, m/w oven, coffee maker, dishes and cutlery. Only negative was that room was not very soundproof - we could hear conversations from next room quite clearly. The hotel restaurant is excellent! Very good food, service.

We've been to Kauai more than 30 times, but have never stayed on the East shore before. We were quite surprised by the cluster of nice resorts and hotels between Wailua and Kapa'a, and we were very impressed by the Kauai Coast Resort. They convert part of their main building to a very nice restaurant at night, and we had a great meal there. The resort […] is a little older, but it is very causal and comfortable and we enjoyed it! This hoyel was in a beautiful. However it smelled so bad. There was mold on the side of the fridge and on the patio curtain. We thought that if we ran the ac on high it would help the smell but it didn't. Our suitcase and my purse even smell. I have aired them out and even sprayed with fabreeze. Me and my partner stayed there for 3 nights. We where upgraded to a bigger room when we came, wich was exellent. The room we had was very big, had a nice balcony and ac. It also had cable tv and kitchen. The standard of the room is pretty good for what you pay for. The poolarea is very nice, but can be a bit windy. The location is very convinient, […] but i do strongly recommend a hire car as the beach is not ideal for swiming. There are foodmarkets close by, and also some resturants and cafes. All in all great value for money paid. When going to kauai i recomend doing the kalula trail hike up north. It is beautifull. I also recommend going down to popiou, very nice beaches. Devamı

Nice on the beach location, only there overnight. Looked like a good place for staying a few nights. Only gripe I had was the garden view was more of a view of the parking lot. But for one night I did not complain. AJ at the pool bar makes a great Kaulua pork wrap!

This is the third time we have stayed at the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy! It is our home away from home whenever we visit Kauai! We love the full kitchen and washer/dryer! We love the grounds and the Hukilau Lanai restaurant and being right there on the beach so we can watch the sunrise in the morning. Being honest, if you're under the age of 40, i wouldn't come here and look elsewhere because it does seem like the hotel here are mainly for people who want to stay in and around the hotel grounds to lounge around and cook food in the rooms we stayed in the garden view rooms and the place was that the hotel hallway for the rooms had a bit of a funky […] smell and the room when you first walked in smelled a little bit too - never really got used to it for some reason they didn't change the sheets for the bed when we wanted them to - we did exactly as the card says to indicate - but we come back and the bed is only made. i would advise to wear slippers/flipflops when you shower because those showers are identical to the floor showers you find in college... this hotel honestly is mediocre at best and the only redeeming factor that brings this place to a 4 star would be the accessibility of food right across the street if and when you want it, and Foodland/Safeway less than a 1 minute drive away. the staff are very friendly and nothing less than helpful Devamı

Our stay was fabulous! Make sure to rent a car otherwise you'll be walking miles each day. Great beach.

Place was even better than the website would have you believe...and, bless their hearts - they upgraded our room upon arrival. VERY comfortable room, very clean. Housekeeping is not at all intrusive. Highly recommended as long as lack of a large beach is not a deal-breaker.

Stayed 5 nights at the Beachboy. Beautiful grounds with lush plantings around the pool and hot tub, wonderful and very helpful staff, and great rooms. Even the mattress was good! Was with my daughter (she's picky) and both would come back again and again. Only thing missing was better deck furniture, but that drives you to the pool and ocean for early […] coffee and a book. The Kauai Coast Resort at Beachboy is a clean and well maintained resort with beautiful landscaping. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great for access to shopping, restaurants and also ideal for access to activities on the north and south side of the island. We had a great time and would highly recommend this resort.

Check out is a little early at 10:00am.

Very cleqn, spacious, immaculate grounds, ok swimming pools and spa, room well equipped with everything, service friendly. Wifi slow, clothes dryer a bit fluffy. Relaxed setting, tiki torches at night, etc. Recommend it for a relaxing, hassle-free holiday.

First thing that happened when we checked in was being pushed towards buying timeshares, and over priced activities, DON'T fall for them you can find a lot better deals right across the street. Could not hear the ocean only Kids screaming, staff wasn't helpful when they were told the internet was very slow I was given a number for their internet service […] and I had to call to find out why there wasn't any high speed internet. Never the less it was never fixed other than the bad service and noisy neighbors the location wasn't that bad. It's not a quiet place, please note. Devamı

it exceded our expectations, beautiful room and I hear all rooms are the same so how can you miss at this hotel, would stay here again when in town. I heard the restaurant is top notch, though we didn't get a chance to try, maybe next time.

Due to the age of the property, I would recommend this location to folks who are looking for a nice place, but would not recommend to those who are looking for high-end, top-notch.

Accomodations were very nice - better than expected and better than the surrounding resorts I think. Were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a two bedroom when we only booked a one. All rooms have full kitchen, laundry. Nicely decorated and air conditioned - quiet rooms and comfy beds. Beach area was beautiful and easily accessible to better […] swimming areas with a short walk up the beach, away from the slippery rocks. Interesting crabs and little fish in the immediate beach area. Restaurant on the property (Hauki Lai) was extremely good, although closed on Mondays. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. About a 4 mile jog or drive up to an 11 mile public beach walk.While resort areas are nice, the surrounding town is full of bums and riff raff (especially on this public beach walk). Our stay at this resort was very nice. I knew it was not a 5 star resort but did not want that. The restaurant is wonderful, even has gluten free bread. Our family of 5, the youngest 19, ate there two out of 4 nights. The beach is narrow and sloped but chairs can be put on the grass nearby to sun bathe close by. There are nicer beaches nearby that you […] could drive to if you want. The surf is rough here but we had heard that as well. The tennis court is not great but we are spoiled in that area. They have rackets and balls for use. We had two bedroom units and they were very spacious and in good condition. We did not cook meals while here but the kitchen was a nice size and open to the living area. The resort location is great for getting to the north or south shores, the airport, and lots to do. Our family does not like secluded locations but we don't like big crowds either so this resort was perfect for us. For the price this was fabulous. Devamı

Excellent location. Convienient to beach and activities.

Every time someone in the block went to the toilet the noise came through mine. I ended up wearing earplugs.

We arrived at noon and the check-in time was 4pm. At all the resorts I have stayed until now, early check-in is allowed. But here, me and my wife were made to wait for 4 hours. Even at 4pm, the front desk staff didnt call us. I had to go and remind them that it was 4pm and hence the room should be ready. That is when they actually called and verified […] if the room was ready and assigned it to us. I was appalled at this apathy. There wasnt anybody else waiting. So I was expecting that the staff would get the room cleaned soon and help us move in immediately. But the front desk staff was not friendly, they were delaying and wouldnt give a concrete answer on when we will be able to check in. So our stay started on a sour note. Apart from this glitch, our stay was relaxing and fun. The resort's location is perfect, many good restaurants closeby. Facilites are very good and the rooms are huge and well furnished. My husband and I had a great time at the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy! The condos are huge (4+ rooms), and you can't beat the cost for what you get (full kitchen including a stove, washer/dryer, and I think all rooms at least have a view of the ocean)! We were extremely satisfied with our stay. If I had to post a criticism, I would say two things: […] 1) Housekeeping usually didn't come until the very late afternoon, which was sometimes inconvenient; and 2) we saw a few tiny ants in our room. Honestly, those were minimal compared to the beauty of the resort - and the location! You can't beat being in the center of the Royal Coconut Coast, equidistant from both ends of the island. It's a 1.5h drive to the top of Waimea Canyon in the South, and a 1h drive to get to Princeville in the North. Perfect! I would also recommend attending the timeshare presentation. They make it worth your while in consolation prizes. Devamı

Le cadre de l'hotel est très agréable avec un super personnel, néanmoins une voiture est conseillée pour y séjourner. La chambre est très spacieuse, avec un lit est TRES confortable (un de mes meilleurs lits).

Наимилейший персонал!!! Уборка номера каждый день, миллион чистых полотенец! В номере - кухня с посудомоечной машиной, огромная ванная со стиральной машиной. Территория - зеленая, ухоженная, красивый бассейн. Экскурсионное бюро - масса интересных и хорошо организованных маршрутов!
