the hotel description is deceiving when it says all rooms have stovetop. We stayed in the ground floor and the room did not have a stovetop as we expected. It was the primary reason why we picked this hotel. Nevertheless, the room was clean.

I loved staying here everything was amazing and perfect, from the service to the room! All of the staff was very friendly,nice, and accomidating. If i needed something they made sure that they helped me and got it :)

Overall a pleasant stay. Really only two complaints, 1.The refrigerator was loud enough that we had to shut the door between the bedroom and living room in order to sleep. 2. The hotel is far enough from downtown La Jolla that our cab ride was over twice the bill for dinner.

I travel extensively for both personal and business. I one time I was staying at this property, formerly the Woodfin Suites since 9/2005. I arrived and was told my room was ready. When I arrived to my room, a baby was screaming at the top of his/her lungs and this was not the worst part. I specifically paid for a suite as I needed a refrigerator to […] store food. I called the front desk and spoke with Christine, who answered my questions and addressed my concerns in what I perceived a condescending tone. She indicated there were no suites available and that I would have to wait 15-20 minutes for an update. I decided to walk to the lobby with my belongings. I was told again by Christine that there were no rooms available and that she could cancel my "reservation" and refund my money. I would have been out of luck. I requested to speak with the supervisor on site, Cori. After waiting several minutes, Cori came out and assisted me. I was assigned room 189. HORRIBLE! The room smelled like mildew and mold! The shower curtain smelled horribly, the shower had orange and black mildew and mold, the toilet was not thoroughly clean. Not a great experience and I will NOT be returning. The Hyatt in La Jolla is a much better place to stay. Devamı

The room we stayed in was great! My boyfriend is a late sleeper which usually means I have to sit quietly on the floor when we're in other hotels. Here there was a whole separate room sealed off by doors. It was AMAZING

The free breakfast was excellent and the rates were great too considering the free breakfast. Very nice locality at a peaceful location with shops available very near. High quality rooms with dual TV, kitchenette etc.. Note that some of the rooms do not have electric cooking stove (only microwave) or dishwashers. The hotel room was very large. It was very comfy & felt really like a large suite. The only problem my husband & I ran into was the bathroom water faucet was low. The tv remotes did not work either. The next morning maintenance came in and fixed them both. Other than those two problems are stay was very good. When we booked at the hotel months before my wife and I had a lot of doubts about the hotel, we thought we'll lets just try it out and if we didn't have a positive experience obviously it will be our last stay at the hotel... but when we checked-in we were really surprised how friendly and warm the staff were. The place was clean and very presentable. […] The room was very spacious and clean all the amenities that we needed were at our room. For the price, we got a great deal with a very comfortable sleeper sofa, kitchenette complete with everything we needed. King bed was very comfortable. Room size and hotel location perfect…minutes away from Torrey Pines Beach! AND…the breakfast buffet was awesome! Every morning, a different selection of well-prepared and healthy food, from eggs and […] bacon, to oatmeal and fruit! The only areas for improvement were: cleanliness…the room was pretty clean when we arrived, but housecleaning didn’t sweep very well in the bathrooms (sand left over from the previous day’s excursion). The mattress pads bunched up. And there were a few burn marks on the kitchenette countertop. HOWEVER, for the amenities, the price, and the comfort, I will always think of Hyatt Suites first when I book my next travel! Great price! Great set up! Devamı

Breakfast superb. Room really nice and spacious. Really great value for money. Would deffinately stay here again and would reccomend to anyone to stay. We used for two nights on a recent visit to San Diego for Seaworld.

Very nice hotel, excellent complimentary breakfast with made to order omelets, outdoor breadfast seating, room was a suite with kitchen and living area in addition to separate sleeping area. Hotel staff very accomodating and helpful. Easy to get to from both I-5 and 805. 20 minutes from most San Diego attractions. Would stay here again!!

Extremely clean and nicely appointed. Wonderful staff. Can't say too much about the breakfast - that needs some work - but all in all - I was a great choice for my travels. I'd stay there again and just skip the breakfast....

Nice place to stay. Close to highways. Great breakfasts! Desk people were very friendly. Requests were handled quickly. Hair dryer didn't work and soap wasn't replaced although it was obvious that only a sliver remained.

This is a great place - if you can actually find it. When we booked this hotel a few months ago it was called Woodfin Suites. We had not idea that it had been converted to Hyatt Summerfield Suites at the end of May. Due to the change in ownership, there is no name at the front of the hotel, just a blue non-descript logo. Anyway, besides that, it's […] a nice hotel. Very clean with modern fixtures and decor. We had a lovely spacious suite which had a separate bedroom and a fold out couch in the living area. Having a kitchenette with fridge was super useful, as we were there for a whole week. One word of warning, if you want quiet, ask for a room that faces away from the pool, which is in the middle of the complex. There are noisy kids screaming in the pool pretty much until it closes at 10pm. In terms of the area, it's very convenient to get around. Everything seems to be within a 20 minute drive either north or south. There is virtually nothing within walking distance, so you definitely need a car. Just down the street are a lot of restaurants and stores - about a 10 minute drive away. Overall, it was a nice stay and we'd definitely stay there again. Devamı

We got a king suite with living room, sofa bed and full kitchen. The entire unit is very spacious, with the bedroom separate from the living room. The bathroom is also very big. It is comfortable, and feels home-y. The breakfast buffet is by far the highlight of our stay (made to order-omlets, and everything else you'd want to eat for breakfast!). They […] also have laundry room, only 75cents to wash, and 75cents to dry! That is so affordable! My only complaint is that the gym was too small, with only 2 old machines (an elliptical and a stairmaster). Devamı

Great breakfast (free) ... helpful staff - and, as a bous, our TV caught fire our last hour there! Even with that, we would stay at the hotel again.

We really enjoyed are say. I feel it would have made it better if the holet rooms had some panlets on what there is to do in San Diego and dinning areas. Are room couldn' be topped, we had a lot of room to just relax after spending all day enjoying San Diego. We will stay with them again. Thank you

The place is decent but it can be pretty pricey on certain weekends. I would like to note that the decor is a little outdated and they still have very old school CRT televisions. The lobby area is nice and the minibar room is pretty. However, the staff there seemed too relax for their jobs (ie: the bartender chatted with what appeared to be friends […] at a table while two men were waiting to pay for their bill). This hotel is a little ways from the beach and nightlife (about 10-15 away from La Jolla Cove), but it was a great place to stay for a family trip. We had a suite with a kitchen. The hotel also served free breakfast (eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits) which was nice.

This hotel was amazing. The landscaping was such that you felt like you were on a tropical island. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. Plenty of room. It felt like home. The breaksfast buffet is a must. Excellent choices from french toast, bacon, eggs, danishes, cereals & juices. I didn't want to leave the big comfy bed. This is a great, clean hotel. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was great for a family. Our disposal didn't work when we got there, but it was fixed soon after we reported it. Other than that, we had no issues at all. It is a little far from downtown San Diego, but the neighborhood is very quiet with plenty of surrounding amenities. The rooms was old. The televisions were old fashion. The beds were comfortable and we did get extra pillows delivered (with a frown). The hot tub was a "warm tub" not a hot tub. I would look to stay elsewhere if I am in that area again.

I stay at the Woodfin 1-3 times per month. On this particular stay I was in room 347. I set the thermostat to 68 before going to bed and woke up shortly after in a total sweat! I checked the thermostat and it read 80+ degrees! I called the front desk and although their tone was "not friendly" they offered to switch rooms. I was half-asleep and had […] an urgent meeting the next morning. He then asked if I would like a technician to fix the problem, I proceeded with the latter. The tech came up, (wait time about 10 minutes) and fixed the problem. He even asked me to stand on the desk so that I could feel the cool air exiting the vent. Devamı

This hotel is big room and kitchen in room. So very relax.

Excellent hotel for families travelling with kids. the full kitchen was really nice to have. Beds were comfortable and clean and bathroom in master suite was really spacious. A little far from tourist spots so need to start off your day earlier. I will definitely recommend.

It's a ways off the beaten path for the center of San Diego but in a nice area and very quiet on a weekend. It's in a business park so probably very busy on a weekday. There are no places for food nearby, you have to drive about 1-2 miles to find strip malls with stores or restaurants. Nice room, very comfortable. Had a great stay, the front desk staff was helpful and happy. Had the king suite which was awesome! Will stay here again for sure! The hallways smelled a little like feet, but all in all the hotel was great!

EVERYTHING WAS NICE EXCEPT THEY DON'T OFFER ANY TYPE OF MOVIES LIKE THE LARGER HOTELS AS WELL AS ROOM SERVICE ENDED EARLIER IN THE EVENING. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS VERY PLEASANT.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodfin.. Place was clean, rooms were nicely furnished, with a nice kitchen area. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to others staying in that area. If there is a downfall-it is the lack of walking distance to shopping areas, liquor stores and larger restaurants. If you have your own transportation-it isn't […] a problem. The hotel was clean, curtious staff and decent room. Only complaint is they say they have a nice DVD library, DVD players in the room. They don't tell you when you choose a movie at the desk, that it will be a significant charge for viewing. I could have seen a move and had a nice dinner for the charge to see the movie.

The hotel is located in a neighborhood of high-tech businesses, I'm sure during the week they are busy with business clientele. On weekends the area is very quiet, however the hotel is located within a couple miles of retail stores and restaurants, so you can get away without being too far away from conveniences. The one bedroom suite was very spacious […] with a full size refrigerator, sink and microwave. The restaurant at the hotel was not open for Saturday night dinner, but there ais a light breakfast buffet. Again, there are lots of full service restaurants not far away.
