Room size was excellent for family, great kitchen facilities and close to Zoo and beach.

We were disappointed when we checked in and we're told there was maintenance on the outside of the building and we would not be able to open the balcony. We were not informed of this prior to our check in. The hotel staff was very helpful and they did offer some compensation to us as well as moving up so a room with a working balcony a couple days into […] our stay. They even helped us move our things to the new room. Also paid parking in the garage is very crowded but in a big city that's to be expected. We stayed here in late February 2012. Not sure how long the maintenance is lasting but I recommend calling them to find out. Not all rooms will be affected I would guess. Devamı

Our last stay we gave this 5 stars. Knocked it down a notch because they now charge a mandatory $10 a day fee for services which we didn't use. We're there to see Hawaii, not watch videos in our room. I still like the self park, but that is going up in cost also. I'd probably still stay there again.

This hotel has a great view of the ocean from where I stayed on the 18th floor. Just 4 mins walking to beautiful beach! Near shops and close to zoo if interested. My room was a suite, and it was nice with a kitchen and living room. Bedroom and living rooms both had plasmas. bed was very comfy.... The only drawback is that they were doing construction […] so I couldn't use the balcony. Otherwise, i would definitely recommend this place for a stay.... The lobby is a little shabby, but our room was spacious and comfortable. I liked the free coffee and newspaper, and felt that I got good value for my money.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, the location was great. However, rooms on the east side get lots of sound from the various compressors, etc. so leaving the window open is not a good option. The cooling system in my original room had to be fixed and the door key mechanisms were spotty. The hotel engineer was condescending about 'teaching' […] us the finer art of getting the card key to work. Consequently, we were moved to an upgraded room on the pool east side which was much nicer and had no trouble at all with the card key. The pool was very nice and the breakfast good. Devamı

Our stay was nice. We didn't have any extra guest fees as stated was possible, but we did have a per night technology fee- wireless internet, games etc... We would have opted out if possible, it wasn't. It did include a DVD rental so we did take advantage of one and gave the other one to another guest. Parking was reasonable and the overall stay was […] nice. The kitchen was large and the bedroom was separate from the family room. Shame about the cleanliness of the room, it really was the only thing that let it down. Sofa was stained and not clean, old food under the coffee tables and the previous peoples filthy, hired high chair left in the room and only removed after I asked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was a great location for people with small children being a block […] back from the sea wall that protected an area of the beach from incoming waves. Perfect for us with a toddler. When we booked the room, we didn't expect a 5 star hotel experience, and we didn't get that, but we did get much more than we expected. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was only two blocks off the beach. It was easy to find and convenient to Waikiki. We stayed one night here, on our way to other islands. We had a suite on the 37th floor, with a great view of Diamond Head and parts of the beach. The room was spotless, with modern appliances, including a full-size fridge with ice maker and decent coffee in the coffeemaker. Lots of dishes and silverware in the cupboards. Beds were ok; we had a queen […] in the bedroom (which has a door, not just an archway to the rest of the suite) and a sofabed in the living room. The beach is an easy 5-minute walk away. Mini-mart on the 5th floor with a better-than-average food selection, and we passed by some other mini-marts on the walk to the beach, so it's easy to stock up on food to use with the kitchen. We really enjoyed the view, but note that even on the 37th floor the view of the sunset is blocked by other hotels - so if that's important to you, just walk down to the beach for the sunset and walk back afterwards. The room was great, recently refurbished and suited us with two teenagers in the separate room, we slept on the sofa bed which wasnt too bad. 9th floor view of the mountains far superior to the "ocean side" need to be higher for a view. We walked the 15-20 minutes down to the heart of Waikiki at least 3 times a day. We wished we were closer to the International […] Market place but cost didnt allow this. We had the hotel inserti instructions for our other travelling party, who arrived 2 days after us to be allowed to enter our room and use the facilities until her room was available at 3pm, but when she checked in they didnt allow her to do this and she had to wait until 3pm, very dissapolinting as we were there when they entered the instructions into her booking so when she arrived she would have no problems. Great apartment for the price - only minutes to the beach. The beach was very child friendly as there was a small wall built under the water to break the surf so was perfect for our two young children. Stunning ocean view from our room. The hotel is located at the less expensive end of Waikiki however we felt this was reflective of the price and the […] location felt safe so we didn't mind. The outside of the hotel and some communal hallways are a little worn however the room was perfect and more than made up for it. Two large flat screen tv's, table for 4, full kitchen, nicely decorated. Outdoor pool was said to be heated not sure if this was the case - definitely a lot colder than any other heated pool I have felt... the children went in with my husband (very briefly) I couldn't bring myself to - it was sooo cold. This is an excellent hotel. Staff were friendly and curteous. Rooms were clean. Free WIFI on the 6th floor. Very convenient location - just 2 minutes from major bus routes and 5 mins from Waikiki beach. Room rates were very reasonable. Recommended!

If you're looking for a fancy hotel with tons of amenities and located right on the Waikiki Beach strip, this isn't it. This is more along the lines of something very decent, moderately priced, has friendly service desk personnel, an activities desk to help you plan your fun stuff, is only about 4 blocks away from Waikiki Beach and in an area where […] you don't have to be afraid to walk at night. It was just what we wanted. We (3 related adults) shared a 1-bedroom suite with a very nice full kitchen and a comfortable pull-out full-size sofabed already made with linens and light blanket, and extra pillows in the bedroom closet. Ended up not using the kitchen to cook our own meals as we were out and about most of the time. We reasoned that given our full days, we wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel room except mainly sleeping, and we're all healthy walkers, so why pay about 40% more (really!) for a beachside hotel with a bunch of extras we wouldn't use. The suite was immediately available and clean, and just as described and pictured on the website. You only get enough coffee for Day 1 to make in the coffeemaker--you're on your own after that, but there are coffee shops within walking distance and ABC Stores EVERYwhere to buy ground coffee. Parking is $11/day (actually a bargain compared to the $20/day I saw for other hotels) and is pretty tight in the attached parking ramp, just this side of "do-able" with the minivan we rented. People say you don't need a car on Oahu unless you're going to the North Shore, but a cab ride alone from the airport to the hotel and back again would've cost nearly half our car rental, plus we did drive around the island quite a bit (Ariz Memorial, Honolulu historical sites, North Shore, the many trips to Hilo Hatties (basically a cool souvenir shop with just about everything Hawaiian), etc. The hotel will let you just accrue the daily charge and pay it with any other incidentals. We checked in the end of May 2011. Upon arrival, we were informed that they didn't have a roll away for our 5th person. They were more than generous and upgraded our room to the top floor, with ocean views- BEAUTIFUL! The staff was very nice and helpful. The only problem we had was the amount of towels in the room- for 5 people we had 4 towels. Nice place to stay. Hotel has all the amenities (pool, tennis court, internet access, wifi, parking, stores and beach nearby) we needed. Will highly recommend it .

Our large suite on 36th floor had stunning mountain views, lovely furnishings and quiet. Close to beach and lovely walk along canal. Quieter end of Waikiki and perfect for what we wanted but easy access to shops. Would definitely stay again.

Five of us (2 adults, 3 kids) stayed in one of the 1 bedroom, ocean view units. The view of Diamond Head and most of Waikiki beach was great. We made a grocery run to Wal-Mart and made full use of the kitchen. The kids loved the pool, the staff was helpful and courteous. We would stay there again.

I find that the hotel is badly need of outside as well as lobby reno. I 've been there 20 plus years ago and yet it still have the same interior. In this day and age when all hotel provides free calls to the US and Canada and free room safe, a chain as big as the Aston should realized that they are far behind in these essential services.

We booked this hotel for a couple of nights following our return from a cruise around the islands. We needed a suite for 3 adults and 3 kids. The hotel is older and not as fancy as many nearby, but is a lot cheaper. The room had been remodeled, with newer kitchen appliances and flat screen TVs, and it was clean. It was adequate for our purposes, especially […] since we didn't spend much time in the room. Don't expect any "extras." For example, they leave a "complimentary" 4-cup packet of coffee for the 8-cup coffee maker for your first morning, with a note that you can buy more in the fifth floor mini-market. Very nice kitchen with everything we might need and all plates utensils etc were clean (last place we stayed at utensils and pots and pans had rust issues). Self parking was easy and cheaper than other motels. Bed comfortable, elevators fast. Only complaint was foam pillows.

My boss and I stay at the Waikiki Sunset at least 4 times a year because of how peaceful and convenient it is. It is two blocks off of Waikiki Beach and Canal and has two easy accesses to the H1. The staff is kind and the rooms have clean bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchens. The kitchens have granite counter tops and all the tools you could need to cook. […] Everything is apartment size but the oven is a normal size. When checking in, the staff barely spoke English; I think they were Chinese. They would not accept our reservation number unless it was printed with a printer on a piece of paper! They acted as if they could hardly stand to do their jobs of checking our parties into their rooms. There is a 2 digit parking fee. This Hotel was awesome. Very nice and clean. We where 5 of us in one room and had enough room for all of us. The shower was great, the beds where very relaxing and their balconey was awesome. Had a great view to the waikiki beach. When we needed more towls or blankets they where very fast at bringing us more. Also our wake up calls where right on the […] dot. Our hotel experience was great. We got a better view than I ever expected. We faced the ocean and could see the surfers at all hours of day and night! Diamond Head was to our left. The room had one bedroom with two beds. There was room for two double beds in the bedroom, but it only had a twin and a twin-and-a-half size bed that only each fit one person. […] So, two people slept on a sofa bed in the living room and one person on a cot in the living room. We had 5 total. It would have been nice to have been able to utilize two double beds instead. We had a corner room which was nice with a great Lanai. As I said, the view was terrific of the ocean and Diamond Head. The lanai was off the living room only which made the bedroom bigger. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils; all appliances were nice and looked new. They all worked well. Having a full-refrig with ice-maker was great. The furnishings were nice and in good condition. The decorating was nice. Had a big screen TV in main room and a small regular TV in the bedroom. The bathroom was a good size with ample hanging space for towels and clothes and shelf space for personal items. Shower had great pressure and adjustments. The staff did a terrific job of acomadating our extra requests of blankets and towels. They asked us right up front what they could do to make our stay better. That was nice. The hotel is at the end of Waikiki near the zoo which is what we wanted - away from the hustle and bustle with all its noise and activity, but close to the beach and stores. It was also easy to get back to after our daily excursions about the island. The pool and outside activity options weren't as good as others in the area (no hot tubs or nice sitting areas, play areas, cooking areas like across the street (we could see theirs from our room)) But it was ok. Our condo was very clean and nice. 37th floor great view of the mountains and Canal. 1 bedroom with two tv sets. Balcony was nice. Daily maid and towel service, nice full kitchen. High speet internet in room (pay) or free on 6th floor lounge. Easy two block […] walk to the beach and main strip. one block to Zoo. Main bus stop on corner. 10-15 min walk to safeway. The Aston Sunset was perfect for us. Staying in an apartment as opposed to a standard room was a must travelling with 3 kids. We had gorgeous views and it was only a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well equiped and our apartment was clean and well furnished. Thank you to the staff at Aston Sunset - we loved our time there.

Only a block and a half away from Waikiki Beach, you can't beat this hotel's location for the price. Hotels down the street from it were going for almost twice the price, so this place definitely is a steal. The view of the ocean was unbelievable. I would recommend this place to anyone with small children, or if you just want a view of Waikiki for cheap. […] The parking was also cheaper than other places in Waikiki. Devamı

Ok, so I'm not rich, and I was crazy enough to take my 2 kids (2 and 3 years old) to Hawaii. I booked this hotel, mostly because of the price and it said it was close to the Honolulu Zoo. But 2 hours after we checked in, I told my wife I would be writing a review at Hotels.com so that others would know it was a great place to stay. Here we go. The […] hotel staff was great, very polite, always helpful, responsive, everything. We even left a stuffed animal in the room and realized it 5 hours later. They sent someone to the room, found it, called us back to let us know and mailed it to us. The Hotel itself is like much of Waikiki, nothing to look at on the outside, but inside it is great. The rooms are newly remodled and easily acommodated my whole family. We cooked breakfast lunch and dinner every day, and the supply of cooking utinsels, cleaning supplies and dishes, cups and silverware were more than adequate. There was even pyrex with lids for leftovers! Waikiki is a SUPER expensive place to eat, so cooking the meals saved TONS of money. They even have several barbecues to use out on the pool deck to cook with. Last but not least, the location. Waikiki is long and thin. Most of the night clubs and high end shopping are at one end, this hotel is closer to the other. But for a guy with 2 little kids, who needs that stuff. We were within easy walking distance to the ZOO, Aquarium, Fire Station,and most importantly the beach. Which by the way has a sea wall that takes the punch out of the waves before they come up on the beach, allowing my kids to play with no danger! Bottom line, this ended up being the perfect hotel to stay at, and it was even luxurious, and didn't leave me feeling like I stayed at a Motel 6. At the end of the block 10 different city busses stop there, and we took them to wal-mart and pearl harbor, and they come so often you hardly wait. Get the newly renovated higher floor ocean facing room and you will be in Paradise. The location cannot be beat. Only a 3 minute walk from waikiki and close to the bus route. The zoo, the diamond head and the aquarium everything is practically next door. They need to redo the lobby but that I think will come in time. Great room with a beautiful mountain view for the money we paid. Especially, it is good for family with little kids.

The hotel suite served it's purpose for the most part. It would've been nice if there was room service there...or perhaps a bar. The suite I stayed in was fine, with the exception of the smelly garbage disposal.

Needs help. Time to upgrade the place.

THIS HOTEL WAS PROBLEY THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. IT WAS VERY DIRTY. IT LOOKED LIKE THEY TURNED A LOW INCOME APARTMENT COMPLEX INTO A SO CALLED HOTEL. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE IF I WERE YOU.

初コンドミでしたので他のコンドミとは比較できませんが非常にリーズナブルな料金に関わらずとても良い滞在となりました。　フロントの対応も良く日本語が通じるスタッフも居て安心でした。　プールも気持ちよくて適度に喧噪から離れているのも良かったです。　他の方のレビューにもありましたが工事中なのとゴキが居たのがマイナス材料です。

와이키키해변에서 다른호텔에 비해 5~8분정도 걸어야했지만 정말 친절했던 직원분들 덕분에 편하게 지냈습니다. 침실하나와 부엌하나 있는 곳이였는데 가격대비 좋은 방과 전망을 가지고 있습니다.

모든 직원이 정말 친절하고 전망도 좋았습니다. 실수로 직원 분들을 귀찮게 했음에도 불구하고 끝까지 밝게 웃어주시고 방 청결상태등 모두 좋았습니다.
