Daytona Beach Regency - Daytona Beach

After checking Hotels.com for price/avail/reviews we settled on The Regency because of the room amenities (size/kitchen/separate bedroom). The room layout was perfect and since it's a time share there's no need to bring extra stuff (utensils/dvd/etc.). Loved the scale of the place as our family was in Daytona for a gymnastics state and most of the hotels […] were completely booked, therefore other parents had to fight for a chair at the pool, or endure long lines for the slide. We punted on the 1st night for dinner and went with the poolside cabana/bar which worked just fine. We live in Florida and were not looking for the tallest/newest/busiest place so we turned more towards clean/comfortable/good service hotels and found this one to be just the right fit. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the staff really does their job well - for instance when returning from the pool on day 2 we asked the front desk for an extra blanket (one child kept stealing it from other @ night), the response was no problem we'll run one up to your room, so we went to the elevator and returned to our room to find the blanket on our counter when we arrived (maybe 2 mins. total time). Yes the building is showing some age around the edges, but for the price/location/enjoyment I really don't think any of the other 30+ parents could say much praise about their hotel stays. P.S. bring earplugs as no hotel is immune from vehicle/motorcycle cruising the strip @ night. Devamı

We had a great time. The Daytona Beach Regency staff was very courteous and helpful. We stayed in a 1 Bedroom suite, which had a full kitchen...very necessary for us and convenient. Enjoyed the pool-side tiki bar and the food was pretty good as well. I only have 2 complaints...the sleeper sofa matress had previously been soiled so when the kids rolled […] it out, you could smell the urine. So they rolled it back and just pulled the cushions from the sofa and the chairs and made a bed on the floor, which they said was very comfortable and preferable. The other complaint was that the key card gate access to the beach was not working, so it was left unlocked. Hotel security said that they would look into it, but it was still unlocked when we left 2 days later. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again. Devamı

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Daytona Regency. I booked it online after looking at other reviews and they reviews were dead-on. The entire hotel was very clean, updated, rooms were very nice and good size, kitchen was equiped with full size refrigerator, full size sink, full size diswasher and everything you needed your kitchen at home would have. […] Some places provide the bare essentials in the kitchen but this hotel provides everything from place settings, different size glasses, utensils, cooking utensills, plenty of different pots & pans, cutting board, and even a corkscrew and blender. The size of the suites was very nice, bathroom is very big and the bedroom was huge..not to mention the mattress was beyond comfortable!! The entire staff we encountered was very pleasant and nice. We had a problem with the water if the bathtub not draining quickly and the maintenance staff came immediately and fixed the problem immediately. The outdoor pool area was very nice and clean, the outdoor Tiki bar was very nice and the bartender was extremely pleasant and outgoing...the food was very good and very reasonably priced. It was also great to have the outdoor grills which were immaculate. I would highly recommend staying at the Daytona Regency, nevermind the fact that the price was great when compared to other comperable places. the area is too conjested, nothing against the hotel

The suites are ridiculously nice we threw pregames an parties. Because the walls are so thick you have to try really hard to bother the other apartments

Perfect location, right on the beach, outside of hotel didn't look amazing but inside was great the room was awesome, right next to food shops and other hotels.

I couldn't believe the helpfulness of staff, especially Casey who checked us in. Cost vs. quality is excellent.

Rooms much nicer than shown in photos. Close to everything in Daytona Beach.

The staff was courteous and the room was fantastic. Right on the beach, very close to Daytona Motor Speedway, would most surely stay there again!!

Nice spacious rooms in great condition. They also are replacing carpets in hallways to keep hotel up to date. Great Place to stay and will stay again. Only complaint was that the elevevators are a bit slow especially on Sunday during checkouts.

We stayed here after a race at the Daytona Speedway. It was only 6 miles from the track, right on the ocean. We were upgraded to a suite. It was truly one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in and we've traveled quite a bit. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Friendly staff. Great view of beach. Somewhat scary area at night.

Very comfortable and very friendly staff, we arrived early, the staff went out of their way to accommadate us and make us feel welcomed even though the room was not ready yet. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a condo style place, this is a great choice. Very comfortable, friendly staff and great location. Its the little things that often count, like emergency night/flashlights in the bathrooms and full size coffee makers in the kitchen. Can't go wrong!

I simply could not have been more pleased with my stay at the Daytona Beach Regency. The staff were great....especially the front desk....and the location was absolutely perfect. the hotel was nice to stay at. we loved the location and how close it was to all the amenities.we wished we could have stayed alittle longer

The Daytona Beach Regency ended up being much nicer than I expected. Although the view from the room is less than desireable, the hotel is located right on the beach. Being the winter and from Florida, I was not interested in the beach so it really didn't matter. Anyways, the room was great. So large. Two full bedrooms and bathrooms and two kitchens. […] One bedroom area is like its own efficiency unit and then the other part includes a full kitchen, living room and dining room. So much space and all the kitchen gadgets you need in both kitchens - blenders, coffee makers, toasters, microwaves, stove-top, etc. Plenty of parking. Very worth the money. Devamı

Easy to ask people for help when I needed one :)

This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that didn't have one thing to pick apart. It was so clean - from the bathroom to the kitchen and everything in it. The staff was friendly and helpful. My unit was very spacious and had a very homey feel to it. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

Clean rooms is number one on my list of good comments. I did not realize that the room was like an apartment. Full dishwasher, stove, fridge and counters were a nice surprise. Two 42" thin LCD T.V.s. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. Quiet nights sleep without hearing anyone above, aside or below me. Another excellent feature was central […] heat/air with digital controls. Stayed at the Daytona Beach Regency with my family for Christmas 2011. Although the town was in it's off season, the staff at the Regency was spot on. They were cheery and responsive and helped us have a wonderful Christmas. I'd like to thank everyone for that. We'll be back!

I was very impressed by my recent stay at the Regency in Daytona Beach, Florida. Check in was easy and the employees were friendly. The concierge was helpful and let us know some of the nearby places to shop and eat. The room was amazing. The view was beautiful. Everything was clean. The hotel was right on the beach so you could walk right out to it. […] They also had an indoor and outdoor pool. The game room was fun, it had billiards! They also had their own restaurant in the hotel and you could order room service. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to go in less than 30 minutes. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It was the best stay I ever had at a hotel. Devamı

My grandson and I had a junior suite. It was so convenient to be able to cook in the full kitchen. A tv in the living room and another in the bedroom. Living room had a pull out couch for my grandson. We only had to share the bathroom. Although we were just a block or two away from the boardwalk... there were so many interesting things to do at the […] hotel... we spent most of our time between the hotel and the beach. Beautiful room with ocean view. We got the room with the separate kitchen and living room and it was much larger than expected. Brand new flat screen tv's in living room and bedroom and a decent selection of channels. Wifi connection is good but a little slow. This was a great room at a great price with great friendly service. Very clean and plenty of room. These are all suites with full kitchens, upgraded appliances, comfortable beds, and fabulous Sharp HDTVs. Great indoor pool and hot tub and great outdoor pool,water slide and hot tub, fitness room & game room. Location also excellent. great rooms, price not bad, and the only 2 room suites I could find on the beach. Cons: view from right side is terrible, overlooks dumpsters in hotel next door. 2nd time they've booked me on that side - I wont go back without a guarantee of ocean or left side. Also no daily linen service.

The suite was excellent with beach access, walking distance to great restaurants and Ocean Center, in Daytona Beach FL. I did not like having to give a credit card as a damage deposit. The only complaint is that the carpet disinfectant was over-powering,

Hotel lacked food service adequate for business traveler. Was within walking distance to convention center. Hotel lobby smelled of chlorine from indoor pool. Hallway outside room had cigarette smoke smell. Mattress on bed had craters and needed to be replaced.

My family and I came for a wedding and wanted to make a long weekend out of it. It's hard to find a 2/2 place, but the DBR had it!!!!!!!!!! Very nice rooms, friendly people, and the kids(ages 6 & 10) had something to do Will return if a long weekend comes again!. Janet & Ed (Orlando Fl)
