Red Lion Hotel Tacoma - Tacoma

When I made reservations I was told we would have a smoking room. Even called them back to verify this (hotels.com). When we checked in the hotel is all non smoking this was a huge disapointment to me.. The room was very nice for the price. Hotel staff were excellent .booked a restaurant for us and even went the extra mile to get a complimentary shuttle to/from the restaurant.Unfortunately could not sleep all night for the continuous noise from the heavy traffic on I -5

I was very happy with the stay. There were several of us staying there for a group event and the red lion hotel and staff were awesome. I will Definetely be staying there again.

Great stay at a great price -

Hotel was great value and location. Great breakfast, eating area could have been a little bigger. Hotel staff was very pleasant!

Was an enjoyable stay. Room was clean, though the linens were a bit outdated. They use DirectTV for cable, and some channels were not available due to a contract dispute (i.e., Fox) which means you might not get to watch your favorite evening shows. Best bang for your buck. Comfy beds, great pool for the kids, bfast was nothing to right home about, waffles, yogurt, toast, juice, cold cereal. Great place to stop with kids. Asked for ajoining rooms for family of 8, ended up across hall.... not the most convenient with small children.

Hotel was easy to find right off I-5 tons of food choices near by and Tacoma Mall is just across the Hwy from Hotel. Pool & Hot Tub was a great treat as well.

Was decent enough , you could tell the hotel Was tryin to save money every way possible though.

Staff was very helpful and professional....newspaper availability very good...Bre3akfast area was to small for the volume of guests..one day our room was not cleaned..used towels were taken, but, waste basket were not..nor bed changed..had to call front desk for clean towels.

Your (Red Lion)customer service was the worst that I have ever dealt with. I wanted to stay one more night and both the customer service and Tacoma hotel never understood that all I wanted was to extend my stay one night. All they could say is that they could not refund my money, which is not what I wanted to do I just wanted to stay one more night. […] Apparently they did not want my business. So I went to another hotel. i will never stay at another Red Lion hotel, and I travel alot. Devamı

Weird smells in different places. Get what you pay for but I will try something else in the same price range next time. "Fitness Center" a complete joke and a lawsuit waiting to happen in case any hotel personnel read these. Wasn't completely disgusted, but unlikely to return.

This hotel is, I'd say, the cleanest and quitest in this area. I have stayed at other hotels on the same street, and feel comfortable here. The staff is very nice and professional!

Those were the positive features. This hotel is pretty noisy - sounds like the neighbors and those in the hallway are actually IN your room. The curtains are not black out curtains, so if you need the room to be dark, bring eye cover! Probably will not stay again.

The shower has no pressure it took more water to shower then if they had no water saver shower heads at all. The bed in our room needs to be replaced because when my husband and I slept together in the same bed we rolled to the center, and the sheets kept coming off, when we asked if we could have another room they gal said all the rooms are alike. […] There is a sports bar across the street and it was very noisy at about 2am, and this was the middle of the week, so good luck and choose another hotel if you want rest.We will not stay again. Great service and staff...Breakfast cold have been better but overall it was a great stay. I would recommend it to you!

I have stayed here several times. This was the first time though that I wasn't told about the hours of the breakfast or that I had to put the pass for parking in the car. I had to follow up on both on my own.

really good hotel. wasnt hard to get to at all from the highway.

We have stayed at many Red Lion Hotels in the past because of their "Pets Stay Free" policy. At check-in, e were surprised to learn that this policy has been changed and now the minimum nightly charge for all pets is $15.

The hotel was great. Continental breakfast could be beefed uP a bit. The heat/ac cover came off when my wife tried to turn it on. I reinstalled it and it worked fine. The location was great as my mother lives in spanaway, and getting anywhere took no time at all. The price was great compare to other hotels near by.

Hallway to room and room itself had a bad smell, carpet in need of replacement or at least a good professional cleaning.

Dried vomit on the floor by bathroom, reported to front desk. No one showed up for 2 hours to clean it up, which was 10 pm. Our children were asleep so we didn't let them in and no one came to clean it the next day either.

There was a lot of extremely noisy construction going on during our stay. The room had no shower curtain. which was odd. The pool was nice, but the location was pretty far from where we wanted to be in Tacoma.

The first room we checked into smelt horrible. After several hours of waiting we were able to check into a new room. The hotel staff was kind but overall this hotel is not the best quality.

This Red Lion is actually not bad for the price. But the neighborhood is where you want to stay away from. It's right next to a very busy part of I-5. But that's not the worst part. On a Friday night, we were awoken by this loud noise from across the street at 1 am in the morning. From what i could tell, there was this sports bar directly facing the […] hotel where a bunch of guys and gals, totally drunk, were yelling and screaming outside. And that lasted for 20 minutes. The staff was pleasant, helpful and upbeat! The pool was clean and the hot tub a joy! We definitely will stay there again when in the area and recommend it highly to others!

As I was booking the room (slightly last minute I'll admit it) I was told that it was the last available room. You wouldn't know it from how quiet it was all nigh or anything, but the next day oh boy! There were probably 50 teenagers downstairs fighting over the free breakfast foods. It was crazy! The hotel staff did a great job of keeping it stocked […] for everyone though and making sure that other adults not affiliated with the soccer/baseball/softball teams. Our bed was crisp and comfortable. The bathroom was sort of cleaned (there were a pile of hair up super high on the shower wall. I only saw it due to my abnormal height.). First time we ever stayed with Red Lion- impressed with hotel, clean comfortable rooms-staff was helpful with travel and friendly!

We jumped at this hotel because of the great price and because the photos online looked like it was a beautiful place. We checked in and went up to our room and the whole hallway smelled of smoke. We felt like we were in a Las Vegas Casino hotel. Went to go take a shower and the shower wouldn't drain and had black back wash coming up. Breakfast the […] next morning wasn't kid friendly. All there was were plain cereals, plain bagels and waffles that weren't that great on a hotel waffle scale. It was easy to get to if you were driving north on the I-5 but if you were coming south there was no exit and so you had to take the exit after and then get back on the I-5 north to get to the exit to the hotel. Next to highway, but if you close the windows, it is not too noisy. The fittness room's equipment doesn't work or not good enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed to swimming pool.

We were very happy with this hotel. From the start the people that checked us in were very nice, helpful and efficient. Our room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was okay, had everything you would need for breakfast. The surrounding area had lots of places to dine out, some even within walking distance. The room was very neat and clean. The Associates at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The hot chocolate chip cookies that was set out in the lobby every night for guests was a very delicious and welcoming touch. thank You!

there is a club across the street that the military frequents so be prepared for lots of drunks to come in at closing. Its definitely not a family friendly hotel when fifty percent of the tenants are swearing and drunk soldiers.

Breakfast selection was weak compared to other hotels I have visited and the front desk customer service was not cooperative until the shift change. My visit was due to bereavement.

Very animal friendly. Close to Fort Lewis, McChord AFB, Tacoma, and Gig Harbor. Easy I-5 access.

It looks like a nice hotel to stay in but when I got in to my room, it smelled like the carpet got wet and organisms grew on it. Everything else was ok...'breakfast lacks protein (first day, we had boiled eggs, second day, none) unfortunately, I won't be able to recommend it due to my experience as I don't want others to fall in the same dilemma. sorry […] for this review, others might have good experience so just weigh in. Was there during a holiday week end visiting my daughter and her family, my first time in Tacoma, WA. The room was clean, the staff very friendly, will definitely stay there each time I go to Tacoma.
