old, small rooms, very basic breakfast....great location directly on Grande Allée, however it s noisy by night, you can hear people partying if you take a room on grande allée side!!

The Hotel was quite nice and comfortable! The room had a nice feel to it and had very nice furnishings. The one down fall is that the noise from the hallways and above floors transmits and that the fireplace is an electric heater. Aside from that the rooms were nice and well worth the price!

We stayed here for 2 nights and then moved to a fantastic - and cheaper - hotel in Vieux Quebec for the rest of our stay. This hotel is almost like a hostel. Said the windows would open but they were painted shut. There was only a bedside drawer and the skinniest closet. The wood floors are there, soffit lighting but definitely not what we expected […] off of the website. I also felt that they are not happy when you make a booking through an online service instead of them. We were on the 3rd floor, no elevator, no help with bags, in fact no interaction from the second we gave the credit card and then left to move on ... no "how is your room", do you need anything, etc. Smallest bath towels in the world!!! The hotel is well located, walking distance to many places. The rooms were a bit small (deluxe room), but nice and clean and it had a good size bathroom.

We have book 2 rooms in this hotel though Expedia. Both rooms were next to entrance. First we were disappointed with that but later on room turned out quiet even facing street and be next to entrance. Rooms were clean, stuff friendly.

This hotel is older but it is charming and very conveniently located. We stayed on the main floor in a large two room suite with 2 queen beds. Perfect for a family or two couples. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Just steps from old Quebec City and Chateau Frontenac, I would highly recommend this very charming hotel.

Beautiful old house ( I'm guessing 200 year old) transformed into hotel, but noise isolation is very poor, also heating control is on the baseboard no it on the wall, small TV with 40 channels. Very well located if you are coming in car, no need to get into old part of town but withing walking distance to all atractions . The breakfast buffet is fantastic, […] potatoes, winner, eggs, muffin, bagel, bread, cereal, assorted fruits, yogurt, etc, etc, in my 10last years and travelling 3 or 4 times a year this is the best breakfast ever!. Parking is not included in the room rate for a family go to quebec without cars is impossible

We especially enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was within 10-15 minutes' walk of all the must-see sights in Quebec city. Though it's just outside the old, walled city, it's actually closer to the museum of fine arts, the large Plains of Abraham park and parts of Saint-Jean street, so we thought it was better. This was a very comfortable stay. The room was generously sized and immaculately clean, breakfast was ample, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is pretty lively, but we were not disturbed. My only complaint was that the towels are rather thin and rough - other than that all was wonderful!

Enjoyed stay. Staff was very nice. Breakfast, that was included was good (hot eggs, sausage, bacon & crepes). Lots of steep steps to our third floor room (we were OK with that). Overall very nice stay near nightlife & good restaurants.

Need a little 18th century but can't afford to skip off to Europe? Try Quebec and stay at Le Grande-Allee. Quaint, gracious, well-situated, and not like home. The kind of place that leaves you thinking they value your patronage.

This was an awful hotel experience for me. Room on first floor rear of building facing the parking lot and two large apartment buildings. Directly outside the door was a public washroom which was used at all hours of the day and night. No soundproofing to speak of. The room (Room 1000) was dark with one window facing said lot and building. There was […] one blackout curtain; no Venetian blind or shear curtain for light during the day unless you wanted to be the topic of apartment dwellers looking in. There was no closet. An armoire in the room would be nice. There was space. When I arrived the toilet didn't work. Together with the front desk person we figured out a way to repair it. Felt like they should have paid me to stay there. Nothing like the photos I saw online. Those looked like nice rooms. Devamı

The hotel was wonderfully placed for the convention center (6 mins walk) and for the old town (8 minutes walk) with the historic gardens right on the (back) doorstep! The reception staff were absolutely marvellous, they stayed up late to meet and greet me at midnight and were able to advise and assist with all questions and requirements (including ordering […] a taxi).. The room was pleasant and newly decorated with working air-conditioning and heat!. My only concern was the non-EU health and safety issues with having electrical appliances (hairdryer) directly above a sink and light switches inside bathrooms rather than outside or with a pull fitting! Felt I was dicing with death every time I went into the bathroom! Being a woman it would also have been good to have a shelf in the bathroom to put "stuff" on! Bedrooms were really nicely furnished and clean and amazingly comfortable bed. Good location - 10 minute walk from old town but many cafes/bars nearby. Only downside was that reception staff were very slow. Would definitely stay there again though.

An old-fashioned but well-maintained and impeccably-run hotel. Elegant rooms and fixtures. The staff were very professional and eager to assist. Very close to the excellent restaurants and bars of the Rue Grand Allee.

Everything was fine except for the air-conditioning. It was simply too cold, in particular in the shower, the cold air is blowing on you. But there is nothing you can do about it.

The hotel was very convenient to most locations especially the old town area - a 15min or so walk to the old town. The only thing I have to note is that we stayed here during the weekday - I was a little worried because of its active night life. If you love night life, this spot is the place to be. The staff were very friendly - and best yet - they all speak pretty decent english (now). Had major trouble with quebec city in the distant past when you had to speak French. Overall good choice. Nice location with many outdoor cafes right outside. Older building but well kept. No elevators so be aware if you have heavy luggage. Very small rooms with minimal space around bed. Would stay there again though.

Staff at desk very friendly, but (could have English speaking hosts at desk). Breakfast: could have real beacon not pre-cooked (tasted like paper eating paper). Choice of eggs if could not eat what was pre-prepared. larger t.v.'s in rooms.

A smell of mustiness welcomes you when you walk in the narrow and small lobby, where you meet the most discourteous receptionist. Following that, you walk up narrow and uneven stairs and get into a small room with a very small bed, extremely noisy a/c and a tiny bathroom with a cacophonic vent. A very small closet is found behind the TV. The view from […] the small window is dismal. The Wi-Fi is very erratic. Most of the time it doesn't work. I was very satisfied. This hotel is very convinent location because ther is many restrant and bar. Off course, I could to reach old city by walk. As room is classic, it is fully equipped, very confrotable. I recommend this hotel!

The street where this hotel is located is amazing. You walk out of the hotel and the street is lined with bars and restaurants. It is a 5-10 min walk to Chateau Frontenac. The room was clean, bathroom had a great tub. However, I found it to be a little overpriced for the accomodations.

We liked the location, staff was friendly, breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. Our major reservation- there was no fitness facility either on site or loacally available. Air conditioning could not be controlled in-room and it was a bit noisy to open the windows.

Charming small Hotel, within walking distance to the tourist areas of the city. The room was very nice, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept . Washroom was very clean. Breakfast well presented. I really enjoyed my stay there. The only drawback was lack of an elevator in the building.

I stayed there with 2 cousins on a Saturday night while the Summer Festival was raging right outside the front door. Yet once inside, it was perfectly quiet.( We had asked for a room facing the back of the hotel). Great soundproofing and hard to beat location less than 10 min. walk from the Old town. Btw, street in front of hotel is blocked to car traffic […] during the summer festival. The small, crammed parking lot is accesssed thru a back street alley but it's not indicated at all. Cost $18. The Hotel is kinda old, the rooms small (but the bathroom huge). What bothered us is that they advertised 2 queen beds, but they were actually just doubles. Also, we got the breakfast place 30 min before the "closing time" (10am) and they were out of way too many things! Friendly wait and Front desk staff though. Devamı

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel and staff were very helpful and accommodating. The only problem (not a big one) was being on the third floor and no elevator. We would stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.

My room was very nicely renovated but on the small side--however, plenty of room for me. It was clean and the shower was wonderful--plenty of hot water and water pressure. My room's view was certainly lacking, as many are in the city, but being toward the back of the hotel was beneficial for noise. Everything about this hotel was amazing. The street is so lively and beautiful and there are a ton of wonderful restaurants and bars steps away. The room was perfect. Beds were extremely comfortable, beautiful brick wall detail and a massive bathroom. Staff were lovely. Will definitely stay again!

The staff at the hotel were excellent. Service was pleasant and effective. There is a lovely restaurant within the hotel that provided a fine breakfast included with the room. Parking was not convenient. The room was small, lacked storage, was not comfortably laid out for three occupants. Finish and furnishings seemed old, and not in the charming way,but […] worn and dated. However you don't travel to stay on hotel rooms.
