Hilton San Antonio Hill Country Hotel & Spa - San Antonio

Loved our recent stay at this hotel but they don't tell you that there is a $50 incidental charge at check-in that is charged to your card. As of 36 hours later it still hasn't been removed although we were assured by the front desk that it would be. Otherwise a very nice property.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away. The hotel was well-kept and staff were very friendly. However there was mold in the shower when we arrived. There are also not many options within walking distance. There is a bar and grill, Rudy's BBQ, and Bill Miller's BBQ. Anywhere else would have required a short drive. Great area. Easy acess to areas because jump on highway quickly. Peaceful and excellent patio an swimming area. Great shuttle service.

Great family hotel. Very close to sea world free shuttle offered, fire pits, heated pool, 24hr exercise room and extremely friendly staff.

The hotel was very beautiful and nice. The only issues were the location of the room and lack of service on the first day. We were given a room with a view of the peaked roof directly in front of our windows. The room was awesome though. We had our do not disturb sign on the room until about 11:30 am while getting ready for an event and when we returned […] to the room that night, the room had not been serviced. The front desk staff was great though. They offered to have the room made up at 7:00 pm which we declined but they did have coffee delivered almost immediately which was our only request. We stayed here after a long day at Sea World San Antonio. It is very easy to find, even in the dark. The room was a typical nice Hilton room. The staff was courteous. Breakfast was a diverse, typical American buffet. We don't frequent San Antonio, but would definitely recommend staying here. One con: This new pillow trend of making them so fluffy your […] chin hits your chest is overrated. If you don't like to sleep on really really fluffy pillows, bring your own. Devamı

Very nice!

I traveled to San Antonio for a wedding, and the HIlton was the HQ. Didn't have high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable (off-season) price. Clean, comfortable, friendly, lodge atmosphere. I'd stay there again.

The only two things my husband and I were disappointed in was 1) the lack of curbside staff to assist in unloading and delivering our luggage to our room. and 2) because my cellular phone was not functioning, I did not have my gps available to me, and the directions that the front desk staff provided us, was not clear, which delayed our arrival. stayed at the Hilton for a weekend with my daughter at Sea World. very family friendly hotel with s'mores, pools, movies in the patio. staff was helpful and hotel was clean and well maintained. shuttle took us to Sea World and it was only a 15-20 minute drive to go downtown and visit the RiverWalk area.

The Hotel looks and sounds great. It Isn't!!! We stayed 10 days. The place was deserted of staff. I never observed the soft drink store open.. The bar which sported a Big screen TV always seemed to be closed. The Maid service failed to re-supply the coffee&Tea several times. No Shower caps. If you slept in late,the maid service just passed your room […] until the next day. It took several hours to get my trash container emptied and clean towels. I had to go to the desk and get my own once. I called Room / Maid service many times and just recieved a recording. This Hotel should not be called a Hilton. Devamı

The hotel room was clean and the location was convenient to our destination, however, the service and friendliness of the staff was very poor.

We went to this hotel with my 65 year old mother, and 3 kids. We visited the spa, the pool, and had two rooms. After this stay we will not stay in any other hotel in San Antonio if we can help it. The staff was excellent, the rooms great, and the pools warm. They had fire pits and s'more kits for our kids and a shuttle to Sea World to avoid parking […] fees. GREAT stay. The PROS: The front desk clerk/shuttle driver was wonderful...and I thought customer service was dead! LOTS of kids on the weekend. Free shuttle to Sea World. My son befriended 2 boys at the pool (unlike previous reviews, the H20 was cystal clear). Another boy shared his smores with my son & we paid it forward to a girl the next night. Movies […] played outside by the firepits were Spongebob, Garfield, & Nemo. Towels avail. at the pool. The breakfast buffet was adequate: eggs, bacon, pancakes, hot & cold cereal, breads, fruit. Housekeeping replenished towels, toiletries, coffee items. If you want a good burger, check out Chunky's (basically across the street). The shuttle guy recommended El Chaparral for mexican It was SO.DANG.GOOD. Only about 10 mins. drive north.THE CONS: The dinner restaurant was okay & very slow. It would be nice if other employees were more knowledgeable about local eateries, etc. One clerk sent us to a strip that was full of chains. Uh, I can eat those at home. Were there stains on the carpet, like others have said? Yes, there was ONE in our room. But seriously, the pros outweigh the cons. The worst issue was a wedding party next door our last night there. They were loud & I think the hotel staff should have been more assertive in resolving the issue. Wonderful, family friendly hotel within 2 minutes of Sea World. Emphasis on family friendly - my 4yr old grandaughter enjoyed the smores by the fire pits and movie that hotel provides at night - along with the pool. The resort is close to Sea World and the Hill Country. The front desk staff delighted me with great service, but the maid service was poor. When I got to the room there were no towels. I had some brought up. The next day the maid had not cleaned the room by 3:30, so I went to one maid in the hallway and asked for towels. She said "That is not my room. […] Call the front desk." I had some brought up, and the maid for my section didn't hit the floor for another half an hour. The tub did not drain fast enough for a shower and when I asked that they fix this while I would be out (six hour window). It was not done when I got back. They don't seem to have good help or enough help. The hotel had low occupancy that week and the main restaurant wasn't open, so I think they were not staffing it adequately. There were molds in the bath tub, shower head should be cleaned after each customer checks out,coffee maker was not thorougly cleaned.: Shay front desk personnel was very good and helpful. The Lobby is beautiful and spacious, the rooms are nice, but very small. I felt claustrophobic & didn't want to be in room long. The 3 swimming pools were filled to the brim with chlorine & the water was not very clean (murky like) - especially the children's pool which looked yellow. I was told upon check-in by the front desk that wi-fi was only free […] in the lobby and had an up charge if used in the rooms. On our last night there a very helpful worker told us that it had been free for a while in the rooms and provided us with the code and the paper notice where this was stated. This place is nice, but too expensive for the size of the room & size of swimming pool. :( Devamı

We had 3 rooms for a one night stay and did not get into our last room until almost 5 pm. No bell boys at front and no luggage carriers to get all of luggage to our rooms. For the price you pay service should be the number one priority for this sight.

This was a great vacation spot. They offer a lot of different things for families. We have two 4 yr olds and they really enjoyed having both a splash pool and big pool to swim in. The fire pits provide a wonderful ambiance and gathering place in the evenings and the kids loved making s'mores! The only trouble we had was getting our room cleaned up the […] first morning, We did have to go down and get fresh towels to shower when we got back from SeaWorld, and then they sent someone up right away. The hotel was beautiful and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was awesome but they had a tough time keeping up with the crowd. Also, a hotel of this caliber should offer free internet in the rooms, not just the public areas. Overall, great place to stay. My kids loved the 3 different pools, too!

This was our second stay at the hotel, returing their after a good visit last year. Not sure what has happened in a year, but the front desk was bordering on being rude at check-in and check-out ( actually accused me of lying when I said we did not eat breakfast the last morning) and was unable to print a zero balance bill - after she offered to. The […] pool ran out of towels both times we went, but was re-supplied. Ice was a rarity, had to use the ice machine in the garden level (normally called a basement). The room was not cleaned on our last day - they came by at 1 when our grandbaby was sleeping, we left at 4 and when we got back at 7:30 the room was not cleaned. The managers in the lobby were very cordial, but I could not find one when the check-out went so wrong. The van drivers were OK, but not nearly as personable as last year - one time the van was late on it's pickup at Sea World, had 2 Hilton people in the front and then I noticed the sandwiches - I guess they did a dinner run on the way over. The desk help was very nice. The room was ready at the expected time. The room was clean and a good view of pool area. All was quiet at night. There was a watchful courtesy officer in the parking lot when we came in after midnight one night. I liked that and felt my truck was safe. Advice from the officer: don't leave valuable items in your vehicle […] and in plain view. Good advice anywhere for sure. Housekeeping staff was very friendly , spoke English and always said Hi as we passed. We didn't go to Seaworld but it looked very close and people returning from it were all very happy. Hotel was gorgeous, warm and inviting. The bed was perfect, pillows were abundant. Staff very friendly and helpful. The outside fire pit with Smores and the big screen was a huge hit for the whole family. We will stay there each time we visit Sea World.

very comfertable

We just stayed here this past week. The hotel is nice and it has a nice pool for the kids. The shuttle to Sea World is very convenient. Overall the service was fair. If you're looking for a clean hotel close to Sea World, then this will fit the bill. If you're looking for an upscale hotel with great service, I'd go elsewhere.

Very nice stay - only complaint is that they should never charge for internet access. Pay extra for your room to include breakfast - totally worth it.

I took my family to this hotel to go to Sea World and we have a great time. The only negative is the food. Not very good and the service needed improved. Other than that you will not be disappointed. Kids enjoyed the movies out by the pool and the smores. Shuttle service to Sea World was great and the front desk people where friendly.

This hotel is great if you are planning a Sea World trip. The shuttle was great and very convienent. The room was very clean and nice. My only complaint was that we had to wait 45 minutes after check-in time for our room to be ready. There was no apology, I was just told "we are working on it."

The hotel was nice. We did notice little sugar ants on one of our beds the first night. The first day we stayed--someone's room service tray remained in the hallway all day. The door to the back parking lot indicated you needed your room card to get in, but not true. The laundry room for hotel guests was a nice surprise, but it didn't smell very good. […] The kids enjoyed the pools. At times, you had to wait for pool towels. Great location, free shuttle to Seaworld. Plenty of places to eat around. Definitely recommend if you are going to Seaworld.

Ridiculous fees ($10 wifi per device). Really murky pool, poor customer service. We got to SeaWorld every year and try somewhere new to stay. Worst hotel I've stayed at near SeaWorld San Antonio. For the extra money the Courtyard is by far a better deal.

I chose this hotel for it's location to Seaworld. It was perfect for our needs. The shuttle service was very convenient. Room was fine , but disappointed that it didn't have a fridge. During the week the restrauant isn't open so they serve the same menu in the lounge/bar area. The food was good but the service was very slow and after a long day at Seaworld […] with little kids, we thought it would quicker to just eat at the hotel - wrong. I would recommend getting food to go from a local restrauant and bringing it back and eating outside - much faster and the kids loved it. The outdoor movies and smores are a great idea and fun for the kids. Devamı
