CNTRY INN SUITES MENOMONIE - Menomonie

While the hotel looks good from reviews, beware of the hotel management. Two weeks after our stay my elderly parents who had never smoked a day in their lives received the credit card bill with an extra $250 charge on it. When they called to question billed amount, the management told them it was for smoking in their non smoking room. My parents explained […] they don't smoke nor did any of the other guests that were in their room. For some reason the staff felt that their records had to be correct and quickly tried to get off the phone. They were told it did not matter since the hotel had three witnesses to ashes in their room. Plus the room was so smoky that they could not even stand to be in the room. Funny since I have severe allergies and if I would be in room full of smoke I would not be able to breath at all and I had no problems at all the whole time we were there. When asked who the witnesses were the hotel stated they could not divulge that information. Then the manager gave the room numbers involved but forgot to mention the room number that my parents were in. When my father stated that he did not stay in any of the room he was quickly told that she missed stating that room number previously. The manager stated that they could not reverse any fees and that he would need to contact his credit card company. Funny I have never had any issue like this with any other hotel I have worked with When I also called to discuss this matter with the manager since I had booked both rooms and had been in the spotless room when we checked out I was rudely told by the manager of the hotel that she could not share her name for her own protection. Funny since I have worked with many hotels in the past for group trips and I have never worked with any other hotel that would not share the full name of their manager. Needless to say I hope they are satisfied with the $250 fee since this hotel and any hotel operated by this management company will never get another dime out of m Devamı

Well located in Menomonie, close to restaurants and other shopping including the UW-Stout. Very nice, cozy fireplace off check in area. The breakfast included with room was good, but no hard boiled eggs.

After traveling thru a snow storm, we were so thankful and delighted to find the inn. It was warm, welcoming, restful, and refreshing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I grew up in Menomonie and visit on a regular basis. In addition to "couch surfing" at homes of friends, I book hotels in the area, and often the same ones -- out of habit. Well, I'm glad that I changed my habit. I decided to get a room with a King bed and a sofa-bed, knowing that the room would have more floor space. The room was very clean, but there […] were just a few maintenance issues (chipped wood on doors, some hard-water deposits on tub fixture, the "mini-fridge" being "propped up" on a wooden stand so that the door could open and close properly, etc.). Otherwise, everything was very clean. The breakfast area was also very inviting and had an excellent selection of items for all dietary tastes. The really outstanding part of my stay was talking with one of the front desk employees (Laura?) who showed me some of the other rooms available - for my future stays. She was helpful and enthusiastic, and I left the hotel with a huge smile on my face knowing that I would be booking there again. The room that I booked was an excellent value; I felt that I got a much nicer room for the same amount of money I normally spent elsewhere. Devamı
