The St. Maurice Oceanside Inn - Hollywood

It really is a quant little place. But the security is not all the best and I must tell you don't leave anything behind!!! We left a cell phone and called 2 different times on the status of it being sent back and kept getting "I havent made it to the post office yet." Finally I had to send a "if it fits it ships" box then the phone was returned.

Very pleasant place to stay. The only problem I had was lack of clean bedding when we got there, but it was fine otherwise.

The room was ok but the fridge was dirty had to buy cleaning supplies.The only services it had was going to the office to get clean linen supplies for the room so i went out and bought my own.The only amenties was a expired parking pass that almost costed me a 250.00 parking ticket.The location was beauitful because it was on the beach front.The property […] was nice just needs a little TLC. Also the toliet ran most of the nights i was there had to closed the bathroom door.The manager needs to use paper products instead of metal no-one felt comfortable using the silverware.When there is a problem there is no-one on site to help you and when u call the number on the door no-one answers.Not goog for business. It was really ok for the price..a few steps from the beach...close to all restaurants...took a long time to get the room cool. Bathroom was small and not in the best shape..the staff were nice..and all in all, I would stay again

We were treated very well. It is a mom/pop motel. It is clean. The owners are nice. They are not a major chain hotel with daily cleaning service, but if you ask they help. If you're there on a Friday or Saturday night you can hear the music from the Hollywood Beach Theater and relax on the patio. The beach is really walking no more than 1/2 a city block […] down. It's fun watching the parking circle jerks. Pleanty of parking is available, but you have to time it just right. Our only disappointment was not that there wasn't room service to replenish certain items. When you read the signs in the room they let you know it isn't something they do. Make sure you bring extra toilet paper and garbage bags or make sure you keep your shopping bags. For the rate, I can go buy the toilet paper and garbage bags or just bring them from home next time. First of all, I'm a college student, so I don't expect much from the hotels I stay at. I've stayed at plenty of crappy hotels and been just fine with it. However, this was my worst experience at a hotel. First of all, we notified the hotel that we would be arriving after eight, as was specified to do. He knew we would be coming after at, but when we […] got there at 8:30pm, there was no one there. The office was closed for the night, and we had nowhere to stay. So we ended up having to pay for another hotel. Then the next morning we were told that there was a note on the door saying our key was in the mailbox. I guarantee there was no note. Also we didn't even get an apology from him for this. Next, the roof in our bathroom leaked when it rained. There was also gum stuck to the curtain next to the bed, and the windowsill looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Needless to say, we left the hotel early. Generally I read comments like these and think that the people are just generally used to nicer hotels, and don't really pay much attention to them, but this is an awful hotel. Avoid it if you can. It was a decent motel. It was a little smaller than what I had expected, but it was nice motel. I liked the fact that it was very close to the beach and in the middle of broadwalk. No matter which way we went, there was either bars, restaurants, or gift stores.

We had to check in after their 8 PM deadline because we had a really late flight. Staff was very understanding and easy to work with about setting up how we could check in when we got there. Hotel is about 50 yards from the beach and broadwalk. Tons of places to eat in the area and lots to do.

People were in the next room smoking weed. dead bugs were in the bed. bed looked like it was found at a dump. all the sheets were brown, this way you can't tell how filthy they actually are. I didn't spend one night here, Expedia refunded me. spend an extra 30 bucks and stay at a motel 6.

On the negative side, very dated property. On the positive side, a very clean "mom & pop" motel a stones throw from the beach. Very nice owners and it's priced right.

We stayed in these hotel during these NY weekend. Iliked this days. Excellent location. Very close to the beach. I read a lot of complaints for towels and bed linen in this hotel but I haven't noticed anything dirty or so. I have never seen such a filthy low end motel in my whole life. What you pay is what you get .Never ever again. There was a filthy broom in the closet with a pile of dirt swept up and standing there with the broom. The TV is like a small computer monitor. What a poor excuse for a TV. There was not even a bed pad on the beds. There was only a 1/2 roll […] of cheap toilet paper and see thru towel for one. Not two. The price was good for the location. The room was reasonable. A lower level flat. Coffee pot, microwave, sm. refrigerator, tv. bed, futton, sm. table, window a/c unit, fan, broom (no carpet), shower (no tub), access to BBQ grill in patio area. This hotel is in a very good location. It is close to the beach and that is the only good thing about it. The hotel was not clean. The bathroom was very dirty. The towels that were given had stains on them. I had to go out and purchase new sheets and towels. Choose another place to stay. Location is not everything.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, you can't get any closer to the beach at the prices they charge. The facilities is old and bathroom small. The owners are very nice and parking is a great deal $10 for the whole stay compared to a daily charge. Restaurants everywhere. We will come back.

Stayed two nights in a room with a king bed, table, two dining chairs and a kitchenette. Had fridge, micro, sink, spare utensil and plates and a heating plate. The room had a window a/c set at 60 the whole time and barely kept the room cool. The bathroom was incredibly small, European small. The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets kept popping […] off the mattress. It's a cheap, old hotel with a reasonable attempt at upkeep. The TV had a good channel selection. The single best thing about the hotel was location. Steps to the boardwalk and beach. Just across the park from the band shell. The hotel was old and the rooms smelled like mold. I did find one that was not too bad. I wish I had not pre-paid. I would not have stayed if I could've gotten my money back. The toilet in my room would not flush and didn't for the 3 days I was there. The towels had holes in them and there was no maid service. On the good side it was right at the heart […] of the beach and I didn't spend much time in the hotel. Location is everything - Well almost. I was right by the bandshell and my favorite breakfast restuarant. The beach was 100ft away and the lifeguards did exercise right there. So, there were aspects that I enjoyed. Parking kind of a nightmare. No lot only street parking for which they provided a pass, for $10.00 per stay. If you are picky about hotels and like the Marriott, don't stay here you will be miseralble. If you are on a budget and don't really care, this will do - but, just barely!!! Devamı

Not a bad little place. Almost door front to the beach. This is NOT for the Uppity type. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was tiny but function-able with a shower, sink and toilet. Had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Could use some cosmetic work on the inside and out. The guy at the desk was very polite. I was a little upset that it was not […] given the right CASH amount of the deposit required for a parking pass. Since it is on the beach all parking is Metered. They give you a pass to use for your stay and when you return the pass you get your deposit back. I was a little shocked that the office didn't open until 9am and I had to check out at 7:30am to be in another town by 8:30am. I did however see the lady from the office and she did collect my key and parking pass, check me out and give me my deposit. Which I thought was very nice of her. I do wish my stay was longer so I would have been able to enjoy more of the beach and when I want to go stay on the beach again I will most likely stay there again. Devamı

If, however, you plan to spend any daytime hours inside, you're better off checking into the neighbouring Sheldon Hotel and pay a little more. You will be talking to the Sheldon people anyway, since St. Maurice doesn't have parking and Sheldon will let you park in their lot for a few bucks a day. there was one little lamp that was connected to a extension cord that looked like it could cause a fire. there were pieces of the blinds missing and people that were walking by could see in. the bathroom was small. if you were a big person youwould not be able to fit on the toilet. the dead bolt to the door didnt work. thank god i only slept there

This hotel has no redeeming qualities other than being close to a beach and accross the road from the Police station! We checked in only to find out that there was no water and wouldn't be for several hours. We got the key went and looked at the room tunrned around locked the door and dropped the key on the desk and left.
