Menzies Barons Court Hotel - Walsall

The staff was par excellent, we had a memorable stay, I shall visit again to your other property now with my children also

I’ve used this hotel B4 whilst on business & will use it again. I recommend it. The staff are very welcoming & helpful. Parking is easy & FREE. Look for the DB&B rate which is excellent value!

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel as I wasn't expecting much from this 3* property. When we arrived we realised it is situated next to an open refuse tip and the smell was quite dreadful! The foom however was compact but clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent. All in all it was great value for money and good for a functional stay […] but don't open the windows! Devamı

Check in excellent, they upgraded us to an executive room at no extra cost as it was our anniversary and made us feel very special. Room was lovely but wooden blinds hadn't been dusted in a while. The pipework in the hotel kept waking me up when people flushed their toilets in night as moaned and banged. Breakfast was lovely but wasn't happy that we […] were told that we had only booked for one. They rectified mistake but was not happy as we were in the middle of eating when they advised us of this and didn't bother to advise us that the mistake had been rectified. Check out was good but would have liked a bill for our extras which we were not presented with. Overall had a great time and was most relaxed. Just what doctor ordered Devamı

I stayed here for one night with my husband as we had to be at my Godsons Christening early the next day, and the hotel is conveniently located close to Stonnall. When we arrived check in was hassle free and the front of house were extremely professional and courteous at all times. After settling in the room we received a call asking if our room was […] ok, which I found to be an extra step up in customer service standards. The room was rather basic but had a comfortable double and single bed. Small tv and free wi-fi. Nothing with the wow factor but that wasn't expected due to the reasonable rates. The room was very warm (without the radiator turned on) and spotless. The bathroom was again basic but had everything needed, including complimentary toiletries and an abundance of towels. We ordered room service and again found the quality and service to be excellent. I would say the food was a little over-priced but huge in quantity and a good standard. The following morning we found it easy to have an iron and board sent to the room and our check out was just as professional and swift. Overall I would recommend this hotel and think other (often higher rated) hotels could take a leaf out of Baron Courts books in the standard of customer care. Devamı

the hotel is comfortable ,so are the rooms except the only problems are 1.the windows are not double glazed so my room was quite noisy being near to the road and we were on dayshift but as we work a lot of nightshift i would not recommend it to anyone working this shift 2. the televisions are very old and picture quality is very poor

The only - but quite important - negative was that the bed was astoundingly uncomfortable! The room was also very hot but we were able to turn the radiator down and open the windows. The hotel was tatty and a bit on the dirty side. Our phone did not work and the replacement phone installed at midnight did not work either. There were tea making facilities but the volume of sugar/milk/teagabgs etc was only 3/4. Room service arrived to provide clean towels/clean room/empty bins etc at 3pm as we were getting ready for the wedding we […] were attending. I asked for clean towels only and the staff proceeded to empty bins and clean the loo while my husband was shaving!! We were on the 3rd floor and the lift only went up to the 2nd. It was very hot in the hotel. Staff were unable to turn the heating down. We took the runner off the bottom of the bed and it was all stained on the underside. The bed was not too bad, The radiator next to the bed did not turn down properly. When we turned it off it was still hot. The window was a dormer type and very difficult to open. You would need to be about 9 feet tall to reach. We managed to get it open but the rain came in. Breakfast was hot and tasty although a bit dried up where it had sat under the heat lamps for so long.
