Not at all happy and pictures on line were very misleading. This hotel needs a great deal of help. Bed was of poor quality and squeaked with every movement. Furniture was broken, Bed sheets were worn out and you could practically see threw the comforter, no extra blankets were available. All this would have been fine except for when we arrived the room […] had an overwhelming odder of cigarette smoke, when we requested a non smoking room we were informed there would be an extra charge for that. The hotel was not as close as we believed it to be to Universal Studios as we were there for race and had to check in at 5am. The rooms were clean but the parking was horrible and the other guests were noisy and could hear them clearly. The neighborhood was a little scary at night time. I would not bring my kids here to spend time that's for sure.

First let me say this is not the fault of Hotels.com. The bad reviews were there I just did not listen. The rooms stink, the management is rude, the neighborhood is skid row, and lets not forget the blood stain hand print at the top of the first stairs. Stay 50 miles away or on the street if necessary but DO NOT stay at this hotel!

Not sure the point of booking online if I don't get the room I requested. I hate smoking rooms, reserved a non-smoking, and yet got a smoking room. For $60 extra dollars they'd give me a non-smoking. Broken lamps, door doesn't close all the way. not worth the effort, keep looking for something else.

Near Hollywood

Was a decent hotel for the money. If you are looking for just a place to sleep its perfect.

Went to see Rebelution play at the Pallidium so we picked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest. Overall the hotel was fine, not the nicest but perfect for price and location.

Parking lot looked clean and taken care of, and so did the front desk room. I wish i could say the same for the hotel room though, the door frame had a small space in it starting about an inch from the bottom of the door and gradually got smaller up to the handle. The light shade was stained or something, The faucet for the shower had one of the bolts […] sticking all the way out. The room smelled like smoke, even though i wanted a non smoking room.... But, like the title says, the price is what you pay for. I just needed a place to pass out for one night and spent an entire 4 hours in the room... Devamı

I booked for the location - and thought with what I was paying it would be a good hotel. Wrong! No parking - they don't have enough spaces for all their guest (first come first parked). I even asked the manager and he "made up a parking space" for me, but I didn't feel safe using the are he suggested - so made my own space. The carpet was old and wrinkled […] in some places. Mold in the shower and on the shower curtain. AND the noise! I had a downstairs room by the stairs and there was noise of people coming and going all night long! i was there for one night only. though that i will extend if i like it. well, I DIDNT. this place is small and stinky. felt as if the dirtiness follows you for the next day too.. i got stuck with a smokers room and although i am a smoker i hated the room. it smelled badly of cigarettes and the windows cannot be opened, had to keep door open to try and […] get some fresh air. no blanket on the bed and when i inquired about it i was told that the bedspread is the blanket. needless to say that the bedspread was old and dirty. trust me, nothing you want yo use in direct contact with your body. i checked out as soon as i possibly could. so take a friendly advise - go somewhere else. pay extra few bucks a day because no one deserves a place like that. not even for a short overnight Devamı

This Inn/Hotel is very close to the Pantages Theatre (.7 miles). The Employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated (much better than usual or expected) and it was much cleaner than expected. Although, the "white" sheets were clean but not very white! and there was only a bottom sheet and a top sheet and NO blanket. Only […] a bedspread on top of the sheet. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating; My neighbor had his TV going very loud late night and the staff were very quick to intervene. Although most of the room were are old and worn, the rooms are clean and offer the basic necessary appliances. Great location and very reasonable rates.

The staff were very friendly, and remembered from a previous stay, and accomodating to my needs. I was able to change my room when I requested, and given it was available, I was upgraded to a premuim room. Although the internet was "out" due to a blackout, the staff were very curteousy.

When checking in the clerk said I had to pay a extra 9$ when I asked him why he said since rates are subject to change. Ok that's fine no problem. I go in the room it had a nasty smell to it. On top of that it was a smokers room! When I specifically asked for non smoker. My wife said it was fine. The bathroom door did not lock the towels smelt like […] mole. THE BED... SQUEALED WITH EVERY MOVMENT! IT WAS BROKEN! not only was the hotle room bad in the inside but also the people that would come out at night where loud and anoying. This was not meant to be an amazing experience, I was not trying to find a luxury hotel, but it served the purpose. Had a working tv, shower (water did not get too hot), wifi, parking, bed, and even a lounge chair for a guest haha. There is an additional fee for a 2nd car to park as well as a utility service fee (minimal) The front desk staff was […] very friendly. The neighborhood is a little dicey- couple of homeless people outside the hotel at all times. But it is close to Santa Monica Blvd. (and the busses), Taco Bell, El Pollo Loco & Hollywood and Vine are all in close proximity. Most single bed rooms are closer to the street with a fair amount of noise. Rooms with more than 2 beds are further from the street. Devamı

The location and nightly rates are great. I was able to be accomodated in making sure I got a non-smoking room. The room I got had squeaking floors and squeaking bedframe, but it was liveable. Otherwise the staff were great - friendly and efficient.

This hotel was disgusting. I read the reviews before staying there and I thought I'd be able to manage. I did manage, I'm still alive, that is a good thing. The only thing worse than staying at this place is sleeping on the street and being homeless.

I wanted a cheap hotel in Hollywood. My first choice was fully booked, so I chose this one instead. Location central to all the places I wanted to go, and close to public trans? Yes. A dozen or so homeless people circling the hotel at all hours of the day, asking for money? DOUBLE YES! Free internet access was great. Would have been better if I could […] have used it for my laptop AND phone, but no. For some reason I was charged an additional three dollars a day for "overnight energy charge" or some such BS. I think we got 3 or 4 HBOs on TV, but the batteries were taped into the remote control. Not like this is a deal breaker and I'm a delicate princess, but it's just indicative of the level of service you can expect here: "good enough". Another plus is the large, EMPTY mini-bar. No gouging you for sodas and chips. That's up to the liquor/convenience store right next door. Good for booze, but if you want anything else, try the 99 cent store across the street. The hotel's vending machine wants $2 for a soda and you can get three cans of Coke for a buck across the street. Would I stay at the Vagabond again? Probably not. We had to be at the studio early. This hotel was less than a mile away. Staff was helpful. Location was a little creepy. Good stay over all.

The hotel itself was ok... but right outside were some pretty spooky characters hanging out on the sidewalks. Considering what they are charging for the room, the surrounding area seems a little scary. It was also the first place I was charged an "energy surcharge".

This hotel is only a 15 min walk to all of the attractions and is clean. There isn't a microwave and the continental breakfast was limited but edible.

Alright, my fiancee' and I were looking for a hotel, last minute, near holleywood blvd. We read the hotels.com reviews and were hesitant, but I have no idea what folks were writing about. Perhaps things are better now, but our stay was fine. The hotel is a bit of a haul to hollywood blvd, particularly the heart of the blvd. BUT, the room was clean, […] neat, and comfortable. Personnel were friendly and checking in and out was a breeze! The neighborhood was fine, not gorgeous, but we never felt threatened, intimidated or otherwise. If your looking for the Ritz-Carlton, book there! If your looking for a middle-class, nice hotel that is pretty conveniently located, safe and clean, I would book this hotel in a minute. Devamı

Only stay here if you are completely desperate. The first sting is they charge you extra for electricity claiming its a tax imposed on them (note this allows them to appear better value than the competition that usually supply electricity with our room!) The surrounding neighborhood is not one to stroll after nightfall. The rooms have no tea or coffee […] making facilities, and the furnishings, TV etc are very bottom-end. Devamı

the motel was in a very bad area, It was alot further away from where we wanted to be and further away than told. We had two rooms paid in full. Then when we got to the motel we were charged $3 per room for an energy charge or whatever. Us and our friend were on too different floors. My husband wanted a handicap room and was told we would get that, […] When wwe got there they wanted $30 more for that room. It was just a bad experience all around. Devamı

This hotel Vagabound Excecutive Inn Hollywood lacked all personal touch for cleaniness, and comfort. No screen on windows, broken tables, and bed looked like it had been slept in at check-in. Never again will I stay at this hotel. However, I booked last minute and this is what I got.

The hotel was only 10 minutes from Universal Studios and only 10 minutes from the bars and cubs on Santa Monica blvd. The neighborhood was a little scary but what do you expect for the price. The parking was a little bit of a problem but it was due to us being there Pride weekend. Overall for the price a good value.

I read the negative comments before considering a hotel and remind myself that everyone who has had a good experience does not usually write a review. I'm an honest person and let me say this has been the worst hotel I've stayed at in my life. The staff has an attitude that you as a customer should be catering to them. Even after booking on hotels.com […] once I arrived at the hotel they charged me an extra 3 dollars per night and did not want to give me a receipt. I argued the fact but they did not budge. They require you to provide your credit card and use an old style system which does an imprint of your card and the hotel staff require you to sign it in advance that permits them to include any dollar amount they see fit on the imprint at a later date. I was told that when I check out they would provide me with a copy. When I did check out they did not provide me with a copy and I had to ask for my copy. The staff member grunted and acted like I was inconveniencing him and scribbled on the paper and handed it to me. I asked him to enter a ZERO dollar amount which he tried to enter on my copy, but not on his copy. After telling him what to do 5 times he finally got it right but maintained an unprofessional attitude. I've made a note on my iPhone to check my credit card statement when I return from holidays. Now for the hotel conditions. My room had no security latch, it was torn from the wall. The cover plates for the electrical outlets were broken or missing. The smoke detector on the ceiling was removed. (Non smoking room?) The dresser drawers were broken and hanging lopsided because the guides they pull in and out on were damaged. Scratches and carvings in various furniture in my room was present. The remote control for the tv appeared germ infested with someone elses food stuck in the keys of the remote. (I hope all it was is food) I was told I was unable to make any kind of calls from my room of any kind., even locally. I asked if there is a charge required to Devamı

Where do I start?.... Staff extremely rude, very little spoken English, No direction, not helpful and literally two words spoken when we checked in. Thank you for offering us assistance with our four cases up the flight of stairs. Secondly, the room was clearly an old smoking room, it stunk. The whole room was on a slope, meaning the drawers and doors […] constantly open! toilet constantly blocked and flush broken so could not be used, when we rung and also visited reception, we were told it would be sorted when the maid visited. No concern for hygiene nor customer service. Maid fixed toilet, for it to break again 15 minutes later. Shower extremely noisy and took near on 10 minutes to get warm. Breakfast reasonable, but not a lot available. Again, little english spoken by staff, and the breakfast area did not look hygienic nor fresh. Outside neighbourhood quite scary, especially in the dark. I would not walk alone in the night. Our room was right by the main road, so constantly woken by either traffic or noisy people outside. So disappointed with our first two days/nights in LA, really wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here. So disappointed Devamı

This hotes was chosen due to the location to the theatre that I needed to attend for an evening show. It was walking distance. It also offered a contintental breakfast. Once you closed the door, you could not hear the traffic on the street. The parking was right in front of the room, which was nice. The breakfast was ok, toast, oatmeal, juice, pretty […] much anything self served. A little limited, but ok. Be aware that there are many transients right in front and around the hotel. If you just want a place to crash for the night and are a heavy sleeper this is the hotel for you. I was up until 2am with loud hotel guests that seemed to be moving furniture around above us and not to mention the guest that were making out on the stairs right outside our door! Never again or if I have to I will bring ear plugs!

The room was clean in general. I had my one year old baby with us and he found an ear plug and the top of a hairspray can under the bed. The shower was clean but the inside of the shower curtain had mold on it which you wouldn't see until you were actually in the shower with the curtain pulled closed.

This rooms are very small. Staff not very helpful. Not worth the price

With 2 boys at age 11, we needed two queen beds and large playing area, this room is just a right choice. Room is clean and nice looking. Although there was only one towel in the bathroom, the office soon brought us extras when we told them, and gave us 4 as we requested for the other nights we stayed. The only thing I can think of that needs some attention, […] is that the bathroom floor might need some mopping, the boys found two crickets one on the bathroom floor, one in the bathtub. :P Oh and it was nice to have the washing area separated from the bath and toilet, only that with out any other door, I would need to change in that tiny bathroom... The hotel has been renovated the rooms are very nice albeit small. Parking is free although there didn't seem to be enough parking spaces for all guests. We got back from our Halloween party at 2a.m. to find no parking. :(

we stayed here for it's location. It was just a short walk to Sunset...good restaurants and a show at the Palladium. For the money, we had absolutely no complaints. It was clean, the staff friendly, and nobody bothered us.

L'hotel se situe près des sites touristiques et est facile d'acces, si on est véhiculé la zone et sécurisée. Par contre il est à 14min de la station metro.

We chose this motel because its close to the wildcart boxing gym and my husband is a boxer. If he wasn`t going there I would not live in this street. Its pretty dirty and a lot of noise during the night. But the motel itself was very nice. Clean and cheap and good service.

- staffs attitude was not very good. did not smile. not very service-friendly - No coffee for breakfast, coffeemaker was all day defect - Very sound can clearly hear the people living upstairs - towels were worn and with long dark hair! - beggars outside the hotel
