I can't believe this place! RIGHT on the beach with two pools, plenty of beach chairs, a MC at the pool for entertainment and music and the people were incredibly nice. If you want to be near - but not "at" the convention center and the disco's and shops, this place is a great deal! Note that most ocean view rooms are in a building that does not have […] an elevator . . . but a huge, ocean front room with micro, fridge, BLENDER!!!, iron and board and a terrace overlooking the gorgeous blue Caribbean . . . !!!! Fortunately we got a room in the building they had an elevator, apparently not all of their "towers" do. The room was very clean, the front desk people were knowledgeable. No free wi-fi, but you can get free wi-fi at the food places across the street. It is right on the beach, like all the other hotels in the vicinity. It has a shopping mall across […] the street, which is quite convenient. Since the bus service is pretty reliable, fast, frequent, cheap and safe, staying far from the hotel area's downtown was not too bad. Devamı

Cons: A.C. was not functional when we checked in. Had to wait for maintenance to come, multiple times, before it was fixed. Food wasn't very good. Pros: Staff was nice and courteous. Beach was nice, and relatively uncrowded.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the beach- we paid a low price and never imagined a place as nice as this. Our room overlooked the ocean, staff was friendly, hot tub, 2 pools. So great and can't believe the price (I know this sounds like an ad, but we actually really loved it there! :)

I chose this hotel because it was relatively inexpensive and looked nice. The hotel is not as glamorous as other high end resorts, but it did a very good job for the cost. Front desk upgraded me for free and my room was great. Everyone is very accommodating and I had no problems. I would return to this resort.

the people at this hotel are rude rude rude! i would not stay here again

The first person we talked to at the check-in counter was quite rude. We asked for a room with 2 beds, which was a room with 1 bed and a pullout sofa bed that they never came to make up despite asking several times. Good thing the supplies were already in the room for us to do it by ourselves. We could never manage to get any towels because there was […] never anyone at the towel stand. They take down the umbrellas on the beach when the sun is still out and there was a serious lack of beach/lounge chairs. Although we could use the hotels next door. The parking is inconvenient, and getting to the hotel was a pain r/t the driveway. If you were/are disabled, forget about going here unless you can manage all the stairs. I would not go here again. The place is in a great location, nice big rooms, and good service... The only bad things was the internet (expensive and not very good) and no elevators so make sure you are on the 1st or secon floor... Aside from that I would recomend it for the price, location and very big rooms!

The hotel staff was great. We booked a regular room and somehow ended up in a 2 bedroom, 3 bath apartment type room. Definitely worth the price and conveniently located.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Avalon Grand! The price was right, the room was beautiful and modern and the staff were very accomidating. Avalon is somewhat smaller than the Giant resorts surrounding it, but that was exactly what we were looking for! It had an authentic feel and the architecture was very elegant. One downfall to our room […] was no elevator, so if you are someone in need of elevator access, I would make that a request. There are elevators in some of the other towers. The pool and hot tub were both better than I expected and the beach front was great with lots of chairs and even a few beds to lay out on. If you are looking for a great hotel, but don't want to spend a lot of money I recommend Avalon. We will definetly return. A small hotel, good location, exactly what you paid. My roon a little noise by air condition machine.

This hotel is much smaller than its giant neighbors along Km 11 5 Hotel Zone. Some will like this; others might prefer a larger property. Service was good from all quarters. Meals at the resturaunt were professionally prepared and graciously served. The rooms were clean and well maintained.The hotel has two buildings. One on the beach and the other […] behind the other with limited views of the beach. We were in the latter but this didn't bother us. There was limited areas open for swimming on the entire Cancun beach. But one of two pools was adjacent to the beach as they are at most hotels on the BLvd. Irritants: Wi-fi was expensive. Free morning coffee in the room was available but for one morning only. Good point: The hotel is within a 10 minute walk to a beautiful shopping and people watching mall. Reservation was exactly what we asked for, room was ready and staff were very friendly and attentive. view from our room was amazing and we were very happy!!! Staff were always on hand offering activities, nights out, food, drinks, pool was lovely overlooking beach, and quality of food in their restaurant was very good! Recommended!!!!

Local bus stop is just opposite to the hotel,you can take bus instead of paying more for the taxis.Hotel room is clean and has an amazing beach views.No free Wifi.Restaurant prices are reasonable and food is good.

Great central location in the Zona Hoteleria, front desk staff were mediocre, breakfast buffet was great, small and charming. Stairs didn't bother us but did notice an elevator. Internet wi-fi rates were unreasonably high, so, we didn't use it. Unfortunate, that they didn't have an airport shuttle even if there was a cost. Spent one night here after arriving to Cancun and before traveling to Playa del Carmen. Didn't really like Cancun. The hotel was ok by all means but is smaller than the surrounding ones and is really dwarfed by the one next doors. For one night it was good value for money but I wouldn't spend my entire vacation here.

Very Decent for its price. I highly recommed it.

Everything was great Except: 1. The hotel doesn't have much beach area and at this time of year (Nov), all the beach area is under wave and not accessible. 2. It takes 5-10 minutes to get hot water in the shower for a 5 minute shower 3. We had an electricity outage for about 3 hours on one of the days The good: 1. We upgraded to an ocean view, definitively worth it! The view is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious with modern decorations but the beds are uncomfortable, or at least too hard for my taste. The bathroom was ok; modern but not five stars. The vanity space was less than what I would’ve preferred and the shower had curtains instead of glass doors (no […] tub). The pool was nice with plenty of beds/chairs available (the hotel was not crowded). We did not eat at the hotel but ate at nearby restaurants…plenty of options. The service was good. Our only complaint is the noise from the hotel next door. Our room was so close and their activities so loud that we could watch their nightly shows (movies, dancers, etc.). We did not request to be moved to another room because my husband didn’t want to (we had unpacked already) so he just put pillows under the door. If you want peace and quiet before 11:30 pm do not stay in room 1402 or any other room that faces the pool of the next door hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the room was great!!!

Everything was really cool up until the point when me and my friend came in late along with other groups but me and my guess were the only ones stopped at the door to see if we were staying there. a larger group walked right pass as we were held up at the door.

My brother and I had been traveling in Mexico for about a week and had a one-night stay at the Avalon Grand Cancun on the last night of our trip. The room was much better than we expected for the price we paid. The shower was the best one we'd had during our travels. While we did not have a chance to use the pools, they looked lovely. On the downside, […] there is no beach at this hotel, no elevators (would not recommend this location for people who cannot handle stairs very well), and the fitness center has very limited hours. I believe it does not open until 9 am and closes at 6 pm, not very helpful hours for people who want to work out before or after a packed vacation day. Devamı

Rent och snyggt, stora rum med trevlig utsikt. Något opersonlig inredning. Läget är mycket bra, med trevliga restauranger och bussförbindelser alldeles intill. Bussarna är billiga, pålitliga och säkra att använda. Hotellets personal är mycket hjälpsam och kunnig.

Fint hotell, bra personal (inte receptionisterna dock..de var ganska otrevliga) men övrig personal så som de som bär väskorna, underhåller osv var helt fantastiska och de ska verkligen ha beröm!

Tienen buena atención, las camas y condiciones de la suite Jr es buena, sin embargo cobran todo hasta el agua la cual por lo menos deben de ofrecer una botella diaria. No tienen elevador es mas para entrar al hotel hay que subir muchos escalones y con las maletas. Descuidada su alberca y regaderas. No tiene nada incluido, hay que estar dando propinas […] o sea cargando efectivo. Devamı

Но очень дорогие доп.услуги (интернет, бар, ресторан) и обслуживание на ресепшн ужасное - не слишком дружелюбны, подходишь - занимаются своими делами и минут через 5 вдруг тебя замечают. Заселили в номер часов в 5 вечера, хотя я приехала к 12 ч., а заселение отеля в 3 ч. То есть 5 часов пришлось ждать! Врут […] на ресепшн по поводу цен на услуги в сторону уменьшения, а по факту больше выходит (при нас скандалила американская пара), нас тоже обманули со стоимостью номера за ночь дополнительно сверх брони. Ao comparar com os hotéis dos arredores parece pequeno e simples. No entanto, é um hotel muito bom e para aqueles que passarão a maior parte dos dias passeando e comendo noutros lugares, ele atende muito bem e a diária sai mais barato, pois você toma o café da manhã lá e almoça e janta fora. Aliás, em frente está o shopping Flamingo, com os restaurantes, […] Outback, Bubba Gump e La Panza Es Primero. No próprio hotel, pode agendar tours como Xcaret (parque muito recomendado), Chichén Itzá, Xel-há, Cocco Bongo e outros e também pagar lá com cartão de crédito. Para aqueles que ficarão no hotel e querem apenas relaxar, ele conta com duas piscina: uma no meio do hotel e outra atrás com a visão da praia. Uma vista fabulosa. Também há dois restaurantes, um bar no saguão e outro na piscina da praia. O quarto que hospedei, além da cama que é óbvio, conta com ar-condicionado, um sofá, uma mesa de centro, uma mesa de jantar com três cadeiras, uma pia, um frigobar, um microondas e o banheiro. No café da manhã, tipo buffet, há opções de comida mexicana (frijoles refritos, chilaquiles, tamales, etc.) além dos já tradicionais (tostada francesa, salsicha, ovos mexidos, panquecas americanas, frutas, suco, cereais, etc.) Devamı

el hotel no es espectacular pero esta bastante bueno, tiene muy buena playa,y esta bien ubicado te atienden bien ,recomendable

el hotel es muy buen hotel pero podria ser mejor, remodelando un poquito y cambiando algunos detallitos, en general esta muy bien el hotel un servicio muy agradable respuestas rapidas en servicios al cuarto, solo que el personal que se encuentra en la recepcion no es muy amable, no nos dieron un buen recivimiento, pero fuera de eso esta muy bien en […] comparacion al precio porque no es el mejor hotel pero es el mas barato y por eso no tiene todos los servicos que tiene los demas hoteles, el servicio en la playa y en la alberca son muy buenos los trabajadores son muy amables y te reciven con una sonrisa. This is a very clean nice hotel on the strip in Cancun in a good spot for all the things you go to Cancun for...partying, beach, eating, etc. The employees were all very pleasant, although they could be a bit better trained on hotel information such as check-out time. Hotel is at the beach and near shops and bus stop.

This hotel is just for sleeping, not for vacation. Room is a bit dirty and furniture (sofa, light, fridge, door, closet) is tired. If you are looking for vacation, head for other hotels. Choosing local hotels in Cancun is risky. If you find a room at the same price in a world hotel chain, it would be more safety choice.

En general el hotel tiene muy buena ubicación y la habitación muy comoda. Solo tuvimos un problema ya que la llave del cuarto no servía, tuvimos que regresar 4 veces a la recepción para que por fin funcionara, el servicio de la recepción es regular, no tome el nombre de la persona que atendió en un principio pero fue algo descortés, como si me estuviera […] haciendo el favor de recibirme.
