Very nice hotel, but wow €28 for breakfast!! Was described by my taxi driver as not near the city centre, but I was there on business so it was fine. Room was very nice and clean, comfy bed.

i was in Amsterdam for business close to this hotel. If this had been a pleasure / sigh-seeing trip, i wouldn't have enjoyed the location. I have stayed in the city center before and would always recommend that for vacationers. This Mercure is a very clean and comfortable hotel, and is quiet which is good for business purposes.

The hotel was really nice, but it was located far from the sights of the center of Amsterdam. To get to it you'll have to take a taxi or tram from the nearest train station, and if you take a tram there will be a little walking left to do. Other than this minor inconvenience, the hotel was very nice. The bathroom was great, with a nice rain shower head, […] although I prefer to use the regular shower head, and with the sliding door you're not going to get much privacy while using the toilet, although this is a common theme throughout The Netherlands. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant, which was very nice. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, and took the time to give us travel tips and wrote down cities we should see. There was a separate bar which was also very nice. Breakfast was spectacular, although nowhere could I find any information on how much it cost, and made the mistake of assuming it was free. I think it was 22.5 Euros, which was way too much, even though it was a very large range of food. The bed/pillows were quite comfortable, although there is a very bright clock in the TV at the foot of the bed which makes sleeping difficult. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you don't mind being away from the city center, but having a tram card makes it a small issue, and definitely avoid the buffet; you can get better and cheaper food in the city. Hotel was very nice. Rooms were large for europe. Bathroom was fantastic with a great rain shower head. Food was super expensive. Location: 10 minute walk to public transportation. 10 minutes to downtown on the train.

I would certainly stay at the Mercur again. If you want to be close to the action in Amsterdam this is not the hotel for you. The Mercur is a very nice hotel with very modern features. The hotel room had free wifi, comfortable bed and pillows, flat screen TV and an in-room safe. The only discomfort was the air-conditioning was not working in my room […] but I think this was just a one-time issue with my room specifically. The hotel is in a business district and there are no restaurants, cafes or grocery stores close by. This was a bit inconvenient. The restaurant in the hotel was fine but the little hotel store doesn't sell much other than water and souvenirs (no fruit or snacks). The tram station is a good 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, but Tram 25 takes you directly to the town centre. One day it poured rain so I took a taxi to the town centre for 17 euros. One good thing about being outside of the city core is that it is a quiet location. Devamı

I'd reserved two rooms several weeks in advance, but I was told on checkin - at around 11pm, that they had no rooms left! We were given rooms in a (inferiour) hotel a few miles away, and the hotel paid for a taxi to and from, but I'm very annoyed that they didn't tell me at any point in the previous weeks that there was no room. Terrible service.

30 minute walk to RAI. Not much else in surrounding area, but only 10 mins walk to metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff. My shower started overflowing during my stay - that could have happened in any hotel and was not their fault, but they responded very quickly and fixed it within an hour.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and i have enjoyed my stay there very much. Great staff, fabulous breakfast and a comfortable clean room. Only 5 minutes walk from the Metro.

+ves: - The Hotel is good like most others by Mecure - The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable -ves: - Away from the City Centre (Although its just about 12-15 stroll from the "Overamstel" metro station (Metro line 50 & 51), but after a long day we felt exhausted to take a 15 minutes metro ride and then a 15 minute walk just to get back to the […] Hotel). There are plenty of options in the city centre, may be not this modern though but more conveniently located. - Limited hours of room service - A few at the reception not so friendly and are looking to make the extra buck by pushing upgrades etc. Tip: Make sure you look out for the Hotel from the platform (it is clearly visible) so that you get down to the correct side of the road, otherwise it will be an additional 15 minutes before you figure out where to go as there are no markings. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Heinekin Hall venue - it was perfect, just a few stops away on the Metro. Very clean room, spacious, and very comfortable beds. Service from staff was second to none. Only minor complaint was the cost of the items in the mini bar and the cost of breakfast - so we did not take advantage of either of these […] during our stay. first of all the hotel looks nice at the out and inside.but there are a few things wrong with the staff in the hotel,staff at the check in was not always that helpful with problems you might have,they were just plain unfriendly. Then parking at the hotel that was soo expensive just for 2 days,just for an hour you pay really high prices. The hotel is clean and functional. If you have business in the area and don’t intend seeing the sites of Amsterdam then this hotel will do. Avoid the formal restaurant – food was bland and service was sub-par.

Hotel meant for big spenders. Staff attitude and advice is ok. But they expect you to be able to spend a lot of money. Several faulty keys and had breakfast problems

staff very helpful and friendly. 5 min walk to tram stop. well worth getting a tram pass rather than cabs.

Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Kinda funky styling. Reception area is a little tatty, especially the reception desk itself - a little paint would solve that. Food and drink there is very expensive and not very good. over six euro for a pint of beer.... The beds (especially the pillows) were excellent though. The hotels pocket map shows Zuid […] as the nearest Metro station, which is incorrect. We got off at Zuid (which the girl on reception had circled as the correct stop) - and were stranded at 00:40 in the middle of a commercial district, with no taxi's... we eventualy got back to the hotel (after finding a cab) - €15 poorer, and got attitude from the night staff. This hotel is located about 10 - 15 minutes from the Central Station in downtown Amsterdam (with public transportation), and only a 5 minute walk to the Metro station from the hotel. Therefore, it is very quiet and close. The hotel is very nice, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We booked online and needed to pay the city tax extra […] at check in (bring a credit card). You may be offered an upgrade to a premium room for EUR 15.- per night. My recommendation is to take it! You get a huge, very comfortable bed, a walk-in shower (very big and nice), nice flat screen TV, internet access, newspaper and the rooms have a free safe and a minibar. The hotel has secure parking for EUR 20.- per day (unless it's your birthday). Though the rooms are small, they are very comfortable. The hotel is a bit hard to find, even when you see it from the distance - the only downfall. I consider myself picky when it comes to hotels, but this is one that will not dissappoint you. Mercure is een goed en schoon hotel. Mooie kamer, modern ingericht. Locatie goed bereikbaar (bij de A2) en dicht bij openbaar vervoer om het centrum in te gaan.

Très bon hotel, propre, personnel agréable, restaurant de bonne qualité et bar très sympa. à quelques minutes du métro à pied donc facile de se rendre en vile. Seul bémol, la molesse du matelas et quelques soucis au check-out

Hôtel loin du centre mais à proximité d'une station de metro ou de tram. Compter 1/2h environ de l'hôtel à la gare centrale d'Amsterdam. Hôtel confortable, même si la disposition de la salle d'eau n'est pas des plus cohérente. Chambre design et lit parfait. Possibilité de parking - payant - au pied de l'hôtel.

Hotel très agréable, confortable, transport à proximité (environ 5 minutes de marche), centre d'Amsterdam à 15/20 min environ. Globalement bien situé cet hôtel est un excellent rapport qualité prix, hormis le prix du petit déjeuner excessif (21,50€) Je recommande.

Clean, modern, modestly priced and reasonably close to the city center (by metro). Also easy access to the Olympic Stadium by metro e.g. for people who are running the marathon.

Very nice, friendly and helpfull stuff. Stayed for 3 nights there. At first day of our stay had a problem with a shower but they fixed it when we were back from town. 7-10 min walk from Overamstel station (line M51) , pretty easy to find, turn left from the station, hotel is visible from the station. We bought a card for the transport for 72 hours that […] cost 15 euro. great deal ! because single ticket cost 2.60 euro. Comfortable beds, queit surroundings. Pretty much nothing around the hotel area. supermarkets is like 15 min walk towards the tram station (tram 25 to the center), turn right from the hotel, over the bridge. Generally have a good impression after staying in this hotel. Don't forget that you have to pay a city tax when checking-out, its about 4 euro per person. Devamı

Das Hotel liegt nicht allzuweit weg von der Anbindung Richtung Innenstadt und ist mit PKW sehr schnell erreicht. Bis zur Tram in die Stadt sind es 5-10 Minuten zu gehen (Endhaltestelle). Diese Straßenbahnlinie fährt dann schon einen Teil der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten an. Der öffentl. Nahverkehr ist deutlich billiger, als in der Stadt zu parken. […] Parken VOR dem Hotel kostet an Werktagen 15 Euro, Sonntags nix. Das Frühstück ist eher 3 *** wert und auf jeden Fall zu teuer. Einen Halt weiter mit der Tram gibts nen superleckeren Bäcker und Kaffe/Tee gibts ja gratis auf dem Zimmer. Devamı

Das Hotel selbst ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert, sehr sauber, ordentlich, 24/7 Reception Desk, so dass man bei Kreditkartenzahlung auch nachts einchecken kann. Guter Service und man hat es relativ ruhig. Für den Preis bekommt man im Zentrum nur runtergewirtschaftete und laute Hotels, so hat man ein preiswertes Hotel und muss dafür eben ca. 30 Minuten […] fahrt zum Zentrum in Kauf nehmen (mit der Tram 25) Devamı

Le seul soucis rencontrer lors de notre séjour dans cet hotel c'est la barrière de la langue. Ils ne parlent pas du tout le français. Hotel un peu trop éloigné du centre ville d'AMSTERDAM, de plus le métro était fermé pour travaux par conséquent le temps de trajet trop long. Der er tale om et flot hotel i udkanten af Amsterdam tæt ved Motorvejstilkørsel - uden støjmæssige gener. Der er 5 min. gang til "The Tram"; som på godt 20 min. sender dig ind til Centrum. Stort værelse og badeværelse - flot udsigt over Amsterdam. Uhyre hjælpsomme ansatte. Stort - nærmest altfavnende (og dyrt) - morgenbord. Alt i alt en særdeles god […] oplevelse. Devamı

O hotel está em reformas mas já é um ótimo hotel , longe do centro mas ao lado de uma estação de trem. Sugiro jantar cedo no hotel pois fecha a cozinha cedo, antes das 22 hs. Atendimento bom e ótimo café da manhã.

I beskrivelsen av hotellet het det at det lå i gangavstand fra sentrum (museumsområdet), hvilket ikke stemte. Jeg valgte hotell bl.a. ut fra det og ble skuffet over at det var såpass lang vei til sentrum.

très bon hôtel avec parking privé le tramway (ligne 25) pour se rendre au centre se trouve à environs 500 mètres (très pratique car le stationnement au centre est pratiquement impossible seul bémol il faut rentrer avant minuit heure du dernier tramway nous retournerons cependant certainement dans cet hôtel

Fikke et kjempebillig rom gjennom "winter offer" jeg fant under hotels.com. Bra rom, kjempefrokost. Hyggelig bar.

Die Klimaanlage im Frühstücksraum war zu kalt eingestellt, zumal die Außentemperatur auch nicht sehr hoch war. Die Preise an der Bar waren ziemlich gesalzen. Hotel etwas abseits, aber in ca. 10 min.Fußweg war die Straßenbahn, die in ca. 20.min die City erreichte. Das Frühstücksbüffet war super, sehr große Auswahl und wurde ständig aufgefüllt.

meget tilfreds. dejlig beliggenhed, tæt på metro 5min. gang. perfekt morgen buffet, der manglede bestemt ikke noget. dyr parkering på hotellet, men vi parkerede udenfor hotellet, og det kostede kun 50 cent, fra fredag eftermiddag, til søndag middag. dejlig høflig personale.

Fantastisk hotel. OBS på dyr morgenmad!

Fint hotell med hög servicenivå. Stor frukostbuffé med varierat utbud, inklusive färskpressad apelsinjuice! Inte bästa läget för den som är i Amsterdam för att festa, men perfekt för den som vill sova bra på natten. Lugnt område lite utanför stan, men bra kommunikationer med spårvagn 25 in till centrum. Fina rum. Litet minus för skjutdörr utan ljudisolering […] till badrummet i vårt rum med dubbelsäng. Stor parkering som kostade extra. Kan dock vara bra att veta att de tar ut en turistskatt när man har bilen med sig till Amsterdam. Denna skatt kostar dock mindre än parkeringen, så det är inga astronomiska summor. Devamı

hotellet ligger ca 5-10 minutter fra en metrostation så det er nemt at komme ind til byen, men selve hotellet ligger i et MEGET kedeligt område hvor der intet er i nærheden. Prisen for rværelse og især mogenmad synes jeg er i overkanten. 22€ for en jævn morgenmad uden det helt store synes jeg er for meget.

Das Hotel ist leicht und kostengünstig z. B. mit dem Transportpass in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß (7 Minuten) und der Metro (13 Minuten) vom Hauptbahnhof zu erreichen. Es ist sehr sauber und hat seine vier Sterne verdient, das Frühstück reichhaltig und frisch, für eine Städtereise also gut geeignet. Der Ausblick auf die Amstel toll und trotz der nahen Autobahn […] ist alles sehr ruhig. Devamı
