Excelsior Grand Hotel - Katanya

Great hotel, staff courteous, great value, breakfast excellent. One complaint, water turned off one of the nights of our stay without warning for maintanance - no information or warning given. I thought this was very poor. Otherwise, it was perfect

A very nice hotel and very helpful staff. Drinks in the bar very expensive and 9 euro a day for internet in the room is also expensive but overall a very good experience and would recommend this hotel without hesitation

This was perfect for our last night in Sicily as we stayed there to make an early flight the next morning. Despite being only 10-15 minutes away, the taxi cost was 30 euros. Nice room and lovely bar.

Rooms were clean and well appointed. Centrally located. We ate in the restaurant at the hotel which I would not recommend, the food was well presented but did not come with sides and was not very tasty. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Would recommend the hotel, just not the restaurant.

very central if you like to shop. i went to a very quaint restaurant behind the hotel. very very good. actually went twice

We stayed at this hotel to go to Mt Etna. Should not have bothered as Mt Etna looked better from a distance than up close. Found the island of Vulcano off Milazzo more spectacular if you want to see an active vulcano. Hotel was clean, well appointed and reasonably convenient. Staff were good - spokeENglish and helpful. Breakfast was great. We stayed […] here 3 days and that was 2 days too long for Catania. I should have read more of the reviews and gone to Taormina instead to see Mt Etna, as Taormina has much more to offer than Catania. Catania is just one ugly city with lots of mad drivers, traffic is a night mare. It is convenient for the airport, but if you are looking for a place on vacation Catania could be missed out on. There are many facilities in Taormina to get you to airport etc, without needing to go to Catania. Hotel was great but I wont return to Catania. Devamı

Good central location with parking in front (at a premium in Catania). Courteous staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. When booked ,rate was cheaper than most hotels of fewer stars. Good value.

This hotel was very nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were helpful, the rooms were lovely, and the food was great. It was also within walking distance of the city centre and via Etna. I would recommend it as a great base to see Catania and the surrounding area from, with a lot of comforts when you get back to the hotel.

We found the hotel to be of an excellant standard and would stay there again if we ever return. It's a short walking distance to the hub of the town where there are bars and restaurants.

Excellent hotel better suited for business travel as it is not close to main tourist attractions such as the cathedral and main shopping district.

The service was superb, the room was excelent, the parkingfacilities was also great. This hotel hade our visit to Catania perfect!

A szálloda elhelyezkedése jó.Közel van a sétáló utcákhoz. A szálloda látott már jobb napokat is .Kissé lepusztult a minősítéséhez képest. A fürdőben egy napon keresztül nem volt víz , hiába jeleztem reggel , estére sem sikerült megcsinálni. Így nem tudtunk zuhanyozni. A párnák nagyon kényelmetlenek , nem lehet rajtuk aludni.

Nice hotel in Catania.A short walk to the city centre and all the sights. Dark and a bit boring walk back and forth to the city centre every day.

Sans conteste, un excellent hotel. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien équipées. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Rien à redire, l'hôtel mérite ses étoiles. Le seul bémol (mineur), car il en faut bien en trouver un, reste son (très) relatif éloignement du centre historique si vous êtes un touriste. Comptez 20 minutes à pieds.

The hotel is close to the center (10-15 minutes walk), room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent.

ubicato al centro di catania , servizio di qualita' e disponibilita' del personale . unico neo per un albergo del genere la tenda doccia. non si puo'!
