The Sarnic Hotel is in a wonderful location just a few hundred yards from the Blue Mosque with many good restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff was very attentive, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was an.d impressive spread. Making reservations at hotel.com made it much more affordable than it we had just walked in the door.

I enjoyed my three day stay there. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Internet availability .

My only comment is that the hotel has a 3-4 star rating which did not accord with my own experience but nevertheless it was very good value for the charges

This was a great hotel. The front desk was very helpful. The only problem was ventilation--although it was a nonsmoking hotel, the manager would go outside to smoke and all of the smoke would come into our rooms through the vents. The location was perfect. Very close to the Blue Mosque and the surrounding attractions. The hotel is located in the historic old town area of Istanbul. There was plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast and probably something for everyone but there was a definite Turkish feel. Staff were good and helpful. The room was small by most standards and […] perhaps but it was adequate for the keen budget minded traveler but not up to standards of somebody looking for a resort hotel. Clean towels each day. Sarnic was a great little hotel, located in the heart of the city, walking distance to the major attractions in the oldest part of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great and the price was far less than the quality of service and cleanliness of the rooms. I would come back and stay there next time for sure. I paid to stay in this self described luxury and boutique hotel. My room was 204 witch had a view of a an elevator shaft which was painted white maybe that is what made it boutique...no air moved in the room unless I wanted to use the floor fan which took up a significant amount of space! . So much for all rooms have a city view....the hall of my room […] was cluttered with a fold away bed and spare furniture and boxes. The room itself was cramped and nothing like the pictures, barely walking room around the bed! The breakfast was not edible...the scrambled eggs were barely cooked or like rubber if there was any available! There are no "do not disturb" signs for a guest to put out so that gives license to the housekeeping staff to knock on your door at regular intervals...great when you are recuperating from a 16 hour flight!! But then the housekeeping staff congregated outside my room at 0830 every morning for their morning gossip so there was no opportunity for a "lie in" The hotel staff was aloof and not helpful. the location is great but there are too many hotels in the area that offer more for the money. I have stayed in at a hotel for half the price in Istanbul on the tram line and I thought I would give myself a treat and stay in luxury...boy was i wrong! If I hadn't paid for my 3 nights in advance I would have left and gone back to the cheaper hotel. Devamı

Charming little hotel in great location with very helpful staff.

Walking distance to major sights & good restaurants in a peacefull area. Our room on the 3rd floor was very small and needed to walk around the luggage! Bathroom also small but had a good shower.Unlike all other hotels we stayed in Turkey, we found the reception staff not very friendly & never greeted us with a hello.Big selection of typical Turkish […] breakfast buffet.. but not my style. Staff was very helpful and curteous, hotel very clean, breakfast abundant although slightly different that what Americans may be used to. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights. I was given a room on ground floor behind the reception desk. Was noisy because it was located at the passageway. One towel in the bathroom was really old and faded color to grey from white. The reception desk people did not seem to be interested in accommodating. I felt like being outcast.

Right in the center of old town. however, that's about all that was good. the hotel staff was nice and helpful. Although I was disspointed in the quality of the room. I guess for the value it was good, but upset that the AC was very poor and It was hot sleeping at night. The beds were hard and the sheets were not fitted, something that drives me nuts. […] The room looked very old too and needed a makeover. Also, our room was rit next to the street and we constantly were waken by tour buses and such in the morning as we had to leave the windo open because of the lack of AC. Great hotel, excellent courteous friendly personnel. An e-mail got us a pick up at the airport. All of the staff were extremely, friendly and courteous. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fruit, vegetables, in additional to what you would normally expect at a a breakfast buffet.

Good choice if you have special price offer. Friendly staff, small but clean room, decent breakfast. Very close to main sights. Only one complain - the first night very noisy tank-truck in front of the hotel till 23:00.

Loved staying here - was like home after a week. The staff is wonderfully helpful, the location can't be beat - can get to all the major sights of Istanbul by foot, cab or tram. The amenities are straight forward and perfectly adequate but not a lot of frills, perfect for us. The breakfast was extensive and interesting. Although close to the most interesting must-see sights in Istanbul, I was a little disappointed with the neighbourhood and surroundings.Staying on the 3rd floor, I missed an elevator, particularly as I had to carry my heavy suitcase downstairs. The comfort of the room was not all that good, although clean, and I think the price of the hotel was high […] as compared to other hotels of similar standard that I have experienced in the same part of the city. We stayed 6 nights at the hotel and my only complaint would be the view of a construction project from the windows. The workers were never loud, though, and worked acceptable hours. We were out and about most of the day, so it was alright. The free breakfast buffet was great. The highlight of my stay was a cooking class taught by the hotel manager, […] Mehmet. We checked in as starry-eyed newcomers to Istanbul and were given courteous, helpful service by the hotel staff. Everyone from the front desk staff to the maid went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were on the top floor and had a nicely-decorated, clean room near the Sultanahmet mosque (i.e. call to prayer is your alarm […] clock). The breakfast was very good and included some hot dishes (not always included in free buffets). The free in-room wireless broke down while we were there, but always worked in the lobby. As soon as we reported the bad connection, they arranged for a technician to come fix it. We visited in January and the hotel was kept uncomfortably warm; we had to prop the bedroom window open for comfort. We have been told that the dry-sauna temperatures in buildings are a common winter occurrence in Turkey. This was certainly not a deal-breaker because otherwise the hotel was very nice. Later on we stayed at another highly-rated hotel in Sultanahmet area and we liked this one better because the room was larger and the service was more informal and friendlier. It is an easy walk to the mosques, Topkapi, the cistern, the light rail (metro), lots of good restaurants, and bazaar shopping. This was a very good value for the money. Devamı

Perfect location within walking distance to all the major sites. Excellent courteous staff. Mehmet and the rest of the staff were very helpful in answering all our questions and recommending local restaurants. Thank you.

Sarnic Hotel is a great hotel.accessible to the some of the historic site.The staff are are courteous , helpful,respectful and friendly!I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.Very clean.

Cost was high, probably because I paid a fee to Hotels.com

This is a fantastic boutique hotel if you want to walk out your door and see the important sights of Istanbul all in one or two days. It is quick walking distance to the covered bazaar, the cisterns (next door!), the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, and a longer walk or short cab ride to Topkapi Palace. The ONLY downside is that there is no elevator […] so it is not suitable for the elderly or handicapped. The architecture is authentic and charming, the staff is beyond helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The shower in one of the rooms (we used two different rooms on two separate stays) was tiny but extremely clean. The AC is very comfortable once it gets going. There is a romantic terrace where smoking is allowed and the view and call to prayer from the nearby Blue Mosque are unforgettable. The hotel staff is very accomodating with providing room service and alcoholic beverages from assorted nearby restaurants--service is prompt and cheerful. A shuttle bus will whisk you back to Ataturk airport and the ride is not long. This is a real find and I hope you can stay there before word gets out and it becomes unbookable. Devamı

This was a lovely, clean hotel well situated in the Sultanahmet. The staff were beyond wonderful, making us feel at home in many ways every day. The breakfast was excellent and the rooftop patio provided us a welcome escape at the end of a long, hot day of touring. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Last Summer I stayed in a much more expensive hotel, and my husband described the bed as feeling like we were sleeping on a bunch of cereal boxes so didn't have great expectations. However, the Sarnic Hotel was wonderful. I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, and missed the nice free breakfast more than once because I was so comfortable! […] The airconditioning worked well (for istanbul standards). I chose the Sarnic Hotel based on previous reviews and definitely wasn't disappointed! It was a great place to stay on my first trip to Istanbul - within walking distance of all the major sites, quiet, very clean and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I would definitely stay here again […] and can't recommend it highly enough! Devamı

Cute place, clean, staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. We were two friends in a room with two twin beds. Nice size room. When my friend's college student arrived to spend time with us, bringing a cot in was no problem. Breakfast was great. There was a laptop and internet access available, which was really nice. Location is very close to […] major tourist sites - walking to them was easy. Our travel was at the end of June and, although the weather was beautiful, it was starting to get hot and the little air conditioner just didn't keep up. So the sleeping temperature was warmer than we would have liked. If I could suggest they change anything, it would be a beefier air conditioner. Definitely a good place to stay. Devamı

Bom atendimento, bem localizado, quartos deixando um pouco a desejar, cafe bastante razoavel

Fint Hotell, fin beliggenhet. Generellt rent og pent og hyggelig.. Bodde her på vinteren og det var desverre ikke mulig å skru ned vamrepumpen, noe som gjorde det uutholdelig varm, ellers er rommene ganske lytt. Ellers er det et topp hotell, billig og bra :)

hotel in ottima posizione e stanza molto carina (anche se un pò piccola). personale disponibile e cortese. unica pecca: colazione: molto orientata sui prodotti salati e scarsa sui cibi dolci. nel complesso lo consiglio assoutamente!

1층에는 절대 주무시지 마세요. 너무 시끄럽습니다. 아침 저녁 할것없이 매우 시끄럽네요.

Bra lite hotel. Vi koste oss. Eneste minus var kaos i frokostserveringen, men siste dag åpnet ny spisesal så det blr nok mye bedre.

hi folks, this hotel is very near the attractions but everything inside the hotel is not the best: 1. rooms not clean 2. breakfast like under hektikal home made - not a good and big buffet 3. the guys behind the check inn (thin guy - 3rd boss) is not friendly If you book for just 1 or 2 nights it might be ok but not for longer - specially you´re travelling […] with your partner/wife Devamı

Die gute Lage zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten ist der einzige Pluspunkt dieses Hotels. Zimmer extrem klein, wir mussten dauernd über die Koffer steigen, da kein Platz zum Verstauen vorhanden war. Zimmer praktisch ohne Tageslicht, Fenster zum Lichtschacht (Zimmer No. 204). Nüsse vom Vorgänger lagen noch auf dem Boden und unter dem Schreibtisch (auch nach […] dem 3 Tag). Atmosfæren var hyggelig hele døgnet. Personalet på alle nivå var serviceinnstilte og vi følte oss sett og godt ivaretatt.
