for someone just traveling through with no intentions of staying Chicago. This was great

The Hotel was great. I stayed for business and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for the price! The hot breakfast was yummy and different every morning. The only bad thing I could think of was the lack or workout equipment. (just one treadmill, eliptical, and stationary bike)

has a real "country inn" flavor. hardwood floors and stairs to the second floor, etc. Not too fancy, but just fine for just about anyone not looking for a super fancy place. Breakfast in the morning too, which is great!

The hotel was easy to find and I thought my room was very clean. The breakfast was also very good. It's a hot and cold breakfast with a wide variety. Overall I would recommend this hotel to any one in the area.

I've stayed at this location before and the rooms are nice but the staff was rude. This time I called ahead to see if I could get early check-in and I was told yes. I arrived at 1pm as scheduled and my reservation was not notated. The hotel staffer started lecturing me saying a room may not be available and explaining what they do to get ready for their […] customers and how full they were the night before. She never looked at me but talked "at" me for 5 mins and then subsequently handed me a room key with no problem because they had 1 available the whole time. I couldn't believe how she scolded me as if I worked for her. I won't be back there! Devamı

I have referred many people to this location, having never stayed here before. My husband and I were going for a quiet weekend and arrived here! Our reservation was made through hotels.com was wrong and requested a smoking room. I am not a smoker and would never stay in a smoking room. When I asked for a replacement she told me they were booked. While […] processing my transaction another customer came with her third complaint about the noise on her floor. She was given attitude and told nothing could be done. After they finished, I was finally rung up. There were kids running everywhere. I was completely turned off and had I not paid in full and refunds weren't allowed I would have just left! The next morning the same lady was still there with her bad attitude. Devamı

We were kept up all night as guest partied in the hall due to the fact it was News Eve. Call front desk and they came and remove the person's from the hall for about half an hour. Partying in pool area after closing and before opening on Jan 1/12. short stay as we were travelling a long distance and need the rest to continue the next day.

Overall stay was nice. In the beginning Receptions was very rude but was better by the time we left. Rooms were nice sofa bed is not that comfortable

Not a bad hotel, but not sure if deserved 2.5 rating and for the price, very disappointed. The rooms weren't horrible but for the price I expected soooo much more. Doubful that I will stay there again. The hotel staff was VERY nice and attentive (the only positive thing).

Non smoking room smelled of smoke; hallways were very noisy at a very late hour. The pool area was unattented by hotel staff, and the noise made it unenjoyable. Breakfast area was fine and the continental was good.....

The front desk staff was a little slow during the check in process. I arrived in town 2 hrs early for a class reunion and was appropriately told i had to wait till 3p to check in. I was a little set aside after driving 13 hrs to get there but understood. So at 3p, i went back to try to check in for a 3rd time and the desk clerk still hadnt received […] the list of clean rooms. i waited, with no line, while he tracked down the list and after 13 min of waiting, was finally checked in. Enjoyed stay st the Inn. Appearance of hotel was welcoming. Rooms were nice and clean. Hotel amenities were plentiful and easily accessible. Staff was kind and courteous. Hotel should examine all rooms for minor needed updates, i.e., bath sink stopper top was broken and toilet handle was not functioning as good as it should (mentioned to Hotel Staff […] at desk). But none of these items took away from the general impression of hotel. Would stay again and would recommend to others. Devamı

Very Good!

The continental breakfast was excellent! A plentiful option of breakfast goodies and also healthy morning foods. The room was clean but the only complaint was the bed was very firm so a bit harder to sleep in but non-the-less we slept sound. The front desk service was great, friendly, and courteous! The race that we were suppose to be at on Sunday was […] postponed to Monday and we were nervous we were not able to find a place but we called and reserved a king suite for that night! Overall--very pleased and we would definitely stay again when we come back for future races or visits :) Devamı

The hotel was close to where I wanted to be, although a little difficult to find. Room was clean and the staff were VERY friendly. My room smelled quite heavy of cleaning supplies, but that is the only complaint. I would definitely stay here again.

I was in town for my close cousin's funeral and although it had been a long drive and I hadn't been able to sleep since I hearing she had died, I didn't expect to get any rest at the hotel; it's hard for me to sleep in strange places. The down pillows form to support your head and neck just right, and I believe the mattress was a memory foam mattress; […] I didn't feel the counterpressure coil mattresses put on your body making you toss and turn through the night. I admitt that the pool was dirty the last time I stayed (about 1 year ago), but that issue has been corrected. Awsome place to stay and worth every penney:o) Devamı

I LOVED THE ROOM IT WAS VERY VERY NICE!!!! i LIKE HOW IT WAS SEAPRATED THE LIVEONG ROOM FROM THE BED ROOM! WOULD STAY AT THE COUNTRY INN ANY TIME

I was very disappointed in the customer service at this hotel. When I arrived there was a line of customers waiting to check in. There was one lady working on getting the guests registered. Incredibly, three other staff members walked behind the counter, looked at the line and turned around and left. What is worse is one of the staff that refused to […] acknowlege us was the manager or supervisor on duty. It took 15 minutes before she said help was needed at the check in counter. To top it off, the elevator was out of service and we were on the top floor. Not good when we had multiple bags to carry and had a negative experience at check-in. I work in a customer focused industry, and found the service at Country Inn, Matteson IL poor. They cculd use a lesson in service excellence and service recovery. Devamı

My only 2 complaints with this hotel is that the air conditioner was shut off and the cot we ordered was not in the room. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and got us a cot and pillows right away. The worst part was that when we entered the room at 11 p.m. it was a complete hot box. Had a very pleasant stay at Country Inn & Suites Matteson. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was great. Saved us a lot of money by eating at the hotel and the selection was good. Stayed here to save $ since we were visiting Chicago...an easy 30 min drive into the city & well worth […] the drive to save the extra $. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Devamı

My boyfriend and I stayed here in a 1 bedroom suite for a night after a concert. The front desk clerk was slightly rude. He did not appear to enjoy his job at all. Our initial thought upon entering the room was that it was nice. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. However, the couch had little tears in it and was not comfortable […] in the least. The entertainment center that was home to the tv in the living area was dirty, and the tv in the bedroom worked only after we fiddled with the power cord for a bit. We are early risers, and went to the breakfast area about 7 a.m. and the buffet was already pretty picked through and short of food. It took quite a while for relpenishments to appear. Overall, it was a decent stay for the short amount of time we spent in the room. I think we would stay here again, but not spring for the suite. It was too much money for the quality to be so poor. The hotel was easy to find from the interstate. For our purposes in just wanting to stay in a hotel for one night, it worked out well. We were traveling with our 2 children and got one room with 2 queen size beds. My children found the beds comfortable. The room was of good size. The night we stayed, there were a lot fo kids running all around the hotel […] from the pool area. They got the elevator floor all wet. There was not much the staff could do since the children were just not properly supervised by their caretakers. In the morning, there was a nice continental free breakfast downstairs. They had hot and cold selections. My children and husband enjoyed this immensely. All in all, if you are driving through and need a place with comfortable beds, good space and a breakfast, thei is a good choice! Devamı

I was very satisfied I also liked the fact that they are a hotel that still accommodates smokers. They receive all tens from me. I also will be booking again worth them in the near future

The sheets were dirty and we had to change them. The curtains for the bedroom door were "see thru" which offered no privacy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of this hotel. The staff was very nice and catered to my every need. They seemed genuinely glad to help in any way they could. I will definitely come back.

The staff at this hotel were great. Very nice and accomodating. The only problem we ran into was a rusty nail at the bottom of the pool which punctured the foot of one my guest. The rooms were nice and clean and I would stay there again but probably not swim.

We picked this hotel because of its location and that it had a pool. Unfortunately for us, the pool just happened to be broken during our stay. =( However, the friendliness of the staff made up for it. I would reccommend this hotel again.

All I could have asked for. A great location, very friendly service, very clean, just a good travel experience.

We did ask the front desk for a new clock and did not receive one. Also the hallway smelled of smoke.

I would recommend this hotel for a weekend trip. The stay at the hotel wasn't the main focus of our trip. It suited our purpose well and that was to see some friends and also a bit of chicago. the free breakfast was decent but at cut off time they promptly turned off the juice machine and collected the food, then pressured all to leave the dining a […] rea. i requested a non-smoking room, upon checkin i was informed that all rooms booked on the internet were automatically assigned as smoking rooms and i should have called the hotel to reserve a non-smoking room. i was not informed of this in any fashion. they did not have a non-smoking room available, and other hotels in the area were booked up so i had […] to take a smoking room. Room smelled like smoke especially when the A/C kicked on. My itenerary stated i requested a non-smoking room but hotel manager would not budge or upgrade. Devamı
