Columbus Monte-Carlo - Monaco-Ville

I have just done my third business trip to the Fontville area of Monaco and I stay here each time. I will return on my next trip - nuff said !

It is all in all a great hotel that is only a bit further from the city center and unfortunately not within walking distance either. Staff is friendly, hotel is modern, rooms are clean and comfortable. I would only like to see bathrobes to make it perfect.

The Hotel was excellent well presented, confortable and friendly. It was the perfect base for exploring the beatiful Monte Carlo and surronding area. Only slight niggle was there was no notification of the valet parking charge 23 euros per night until departure but not bad value and very easy to use so no complaint just a heads up! Location is good for what we needed, however not so close to the real Monaco.

Modern and clean, wide rooms and public areas. Most impressed by the Concierge service, they were helpful and efficient and when we could not find a taxi fast enough, they offered the hotel shuttle to drop us where we needed. Restaurant and sunny terrace completed a very pleasant stay. Only two weak points: 10 min drive to the center (although the 1 […] Euro bus trip is quite pleasant) and no direct view on the sea. The Columbus Hotel is small and simply classy. It is not over the top oppulent like many others in Monte Carlo. The service is outstanding. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are quiet. The view was spetacular from our balcony. It is well worth the extra Euros for the balcony. The only down side is if you like to be in the center of activity, […] it is not. The Columbus Hotel is a nice, slightly out of the way, hotel. The rooms were clean and modern. The concierge service was excellent. Very helpful at making suggestions and even obtaining reservations for us. While the hotel may be not in the center of the action near the Casino Monte Carlo, the rates reflect such and are quite reasonable. It's easy to […] get a taxi or ride the bus to where you want to go, plus the hotel does offer shuttle service. Monaco is small enough that you can walk just about anywhere. There is a beach not too far from the hotel (5 or so minute walk) and a great park with flower gardens right across the street. There are some shopping areas close by as well... Next time I go to Monaco, I will most definitely consider this hotel. My family and I were very happy with our hotel choice. Devamı

Really enjoyed our stay at the Columbus Hotel in Monaco. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Very clean and spacious room, lovely breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Highly Recommended.

The Columbus was hard to find and not as close to the Casino, restaurants, and bars as we would have like. It was walking distance to the palace and a shopping area. However, the hotel made up for it in service and decor. The hotel sported a trendy updated decor in both the rooms and main areas. Very nice hotel for the value. Away from the center, but MC is not that big so you can walk anywhere within about 30 mins. Pool is shared with a condo complex so it closes at 8 and is busy with kids. Hotel is nice, modern, clean.

I have stayed at Columbus before (about 3yrs ago) so booked a deluxe with balcony this time. The rooms are not large by any standard,but quality furnishings etc. They could definitely do with a general freshening up though - scuff marks on wall,wardrobe door dented,bottom of toilet door paint flaking,carpet very worn in areas and leaking air conditioning […] unit panel all stained. That said,none of this affected our stay,just if people are paying those type of prices as a special treat they may be disappointed. Also the swimming pool is communal,not just for hotel residents. What they are paying for is the location - this is in an area called Fontvielle which is a small harbour approx 10 mins walk from Monte Carlo itself.The harbour is fringed with restaurants,cafes etc and a lot less busy than the main tourist areas. The hotel was very pleasant. Seemed to be attractive for business travelors. I would recommend that families looking to enjoy a vacation stay look elsewhere. However the concierge, a woman, was outstanding with her service. Quite knowledgeable. One note of disappointment was the they did not remove people's room service trays from the hallway very often. […] Many were left in the hallway all day long. Devamı

Trés bon niveau. Déjeuné un peu cher , car il n'a rien d'exceptionnel.

Vi leste tidligere anmeldelser av hotellet. Der sto det at frokosten var inklusiv, selv om det ikke sto det på bestillingen. Vi spurte TO ganger da vi sjekket inn, og fikk beskjed om at vi kunne velge: Enten spise frokost i spisesal, eller få den bringt på rommet..Etter to dager ble vi stoppet på vei inn til spisesalen, og nektet frokost.. Shuttlebussen, […] som var en av årsakene til at vi valgte et hotell såpass langt fra sentrum, var tilgjengelig kun første dagen.. Vinglassene på rommet ble ikke erstattet med rene etter at vi hadde brukt de. Vi spurte den hjelpsomme damen som gjorde rent, om vi kunne få rene..Hun tok en telefon og sa at det ville bli ordnet. Det skjedde ikke, til tross for at vi purret flere ganger..Vi regnet med til slutt at det var på grunn av at vi ikke forsynte oss av minibaren. En ansatt kom hver dag for å sjekke om minibaren skulle fylles... Rommet vårt var ikke av de billigste, vi hadde veranda. Men det lå i skyggenes dal. det var ikke sol, hverken tidlig eller seint på dagen.Vi ba om å få snakke med direktøren, der var det ikke mye selvkritikk å spore, og kunden hadde ihvertfall ikke rett!! Konklusjon: Vi velger et annet hotell neste gang. Devamı

Me gusto mucho el Hotel aunque me parecio caro. No desayunamos porque no entraba en la oferta asi que sobre eso no puedo opinar. La situacion no es muy buena.

Trois remarques: A. Le café : peut mieux faire B. Personnel du restaurant (p.dèj) trop bruyant C.Salle de bain: éclairage insuffisant à proximité du miroir pour se raser. Idem d'ailleurs pour une lampe de chevet qui manquait d'un côté (chambre 711)

un hôtel parfait avec un service conciergerie au top!! Accueil parfait.

Personnel très serviable et accueil chaleureux. Prestations de haute qualité et service efficace. Hôtel très propre, petit déjeuner copieux et savoureux. A recommander.

Unikt hotell. Fantastisk serviceminded personell, og Consiergen imponerte med sin kunnskap og evne til å løse de vanskeligste utfordringer. Ingen taxi å oppdrive? Da kjører vi dere til sentrum. Billetter til utsolgt Show? Jeg kjenner daglig leder der. Han ordnet billetter på første rad. Gourmet-restaurant, med fantastisk service i alle ledd. Friske […] blomster på rommet. Devamı

hotel assez calme mais accueil quelconque piscine à partager avec d autres residences

Jolie décoration, jolie chambre très confortable. Le personnel est adorable, tant les voituriers, le concierge que les serveurs sont super. Le tapis de la chambre n'etait pas très propre, mais c'était la seule fausse note.

Très bonne situation de l'Hôtel !

Nice and clean hotel with a great outdoor bar. 100 m to the Med and close to the marinas, nice surroundings but it bit far from the "down town" areas.

Ns avons été déçus car pr la somme déboursée, on sattendais a bcp mieux, voire parfait. Ns avions une chbre avec fenêtre et vu sur le toit ou il y avait mégots de cigarettes... Notre couette était trouée, même chez moi elle n'est pas trouée et pourtant ns ne sommes par des bourgeois... Très peu pour un hôtel prestigieux. En revanche tt le personnel […] de lhotel était parfait! Au fait la piscine n'était pas dispo, ms ça ns a été dit qu'en arrivant biensur... Devamı

During ATP Tenis week, a good price. Location is not that great but Monaco is small and bus service is efficient + walking always a pleasure

Nonostante il mio compagno di viaggio voleva soggiornare il un 5 stelle,io ho prenotato al Columbus ed è stata un'ottima decisione!Personale professionale e veloce al check-in/out e ad ogni altra nostra richiesta.Impressione molto positiva già all'arrivo,hotel ben tenuto,pulito e di design.Anche molto ben frequentato,e in una zona bella e verde.Unico […] punto mediocre e l'assortimento dei prodotti per la colazione! ..Ci tornerei alla grande e lo raccomanderei a chiunque!! Wenn man in Monaco absteigen will, in das Columbus echt ein super Ort. Preislich nicht ganz so günstig, aber ist ja Monaco. Lage etwas dezentral, dafür ohne Autostress zu erreichen, was mitten in der Stadt schon etwas lästig wäre. Lage sehr ruhig am kleinen Hafen. Gehzeit in das Zentrum ca. eine Viertel Stunde. Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr schön. […] Etwas dunkel und gemütlich gehalten. Service mit Autoparken auch sehr gut. Das Frühstück war auch nicht so schlecht, obwohl die Auswahl etwas dürftig war für den Preis. Devamı
