Best Western Inn Towne Hotel - Milwaukee

this hotel was in a great location for our itinerary! within walking distance from the pabst theater, mader's, usinger's, and the grand shops, and it is next door to a great convenience store where we could get drinks and snacks. room had free wifi, fridge, and microwave. the rooms are small, but they are a good use of space and perfect for a couple. […] the only issues we had were with the housekeeping staff and the bed itself. the bed was not very comfortable, and when you sat in the middle on the edge at the foot of the bed it made a popping noise, so i'm assuming the discomfort came from a broken frame. also, the housekeeping staff was loud and inconsiderate, and anything but thorough. banging doors, playing loud music while they cleaned, blocking the elevators with their carts, and we were there for 5 days and while granted, we only asked for our room to be serviced twice, they never emptied the wastebaskets. it was kind of at critical mass by the time we checked out. We booked the hotel to stay after watching a NBA game at the Bradley Center. We were very pleased with how close the hotel was to the Bradley Center. A very easy walk with our 9 year old. The front desk for very nice and helpful. She even gave us an upgrade to our room! We will definitely stay here again.

I didn't expect a 5 star hotel, because I knew it wasn't one. When we took a shower, there was mold along the bottom of the shower curtain and it looked like a washcloth that was used to wipe up spilled coffee was left in the corner of the bathroom. When I tried to make coffee, it didn't work and spewed outside the cup - now I know where the washcloth […] came from. :) Devamı

Our stay was Great! No fuss with check in or even waiting on elevators. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Whatever your needs, it all was right there on the corner from the hotel! No need to go far for anything: shopping, food, convention, all right there.

Based on the two and a half star rating I wasn't sure if this would be a good idea. My son and I were seeing a Bucks game and all we needed was a room for the nite, no amenities needed. A nineth floor room over looking down town what a great view. The room was large and clean w/ large windows emcompassing the entire room. We stayed here this past weekend for a buddies bachelor party. The gentlemen at the first desk was real helpful. But when we got up to our four rooms which all were on the 7th floor there was construction which was not really a big deal because every hotel has to keep up maintenance. All of our rooms were next to each other and each room had problems. […] My room the toilet would over flow when flushed, the room next to us had a working toilet but no AC and no shower handle to turn on the shower, the next room had no working toilet and our final room had no ac and now working shower. It go so bad to the point where our toilet was flooding into the hallway and if there was a way to post pics on here of it I would. Not to mention the one room on our floor that we didn't have was another family who was having the same problem with their toilets as well. When complaining to the front desk, they said that everyone who could try to work on it was at lunch and they would be back in a little bit which was no help to us because when does an entire staff go on lunch at the same time leaving just one person to run the hotel. They said I would be comped a room but I have not seen the charges go back on to my account. This place really needs to get on track and I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel anytime soon until they get the problems fixed. Devamı

Our stay was good. We book 'last minute' via my hotels app via my phone and we checked in 20 after booking the room from the app.

Bathroom was dirty, pillows were small, breakfast was good, convenient location, breakfast room attendant was irritable- scolding. Front desk staff was good. Facade looks like a dump.

In the middle of downtown, at a very reasonable rate. Sure, the rooms are not as big as the Hilton, but they are clean, the staff is always friendly, and you are in the heart of the city. nuff said

When I walked into the room, it was the smallest hotel room that I have ever seen for a Queen room. All you could hear was a loud sound like rushing water while in the room coming from the air conditioning unit... which, by the way, does not work! My unit fell off the wall and I noticed that some of the wires were cut... A friend in another room at […] the same hotel says that he had the same thing... Oh, and by the way, if you stay at this hotel, please be prepared that they have no parking.... Oh, yes, there is parking available, but you will have to pay through the nose for it! And that's if you can get back into the building because the front doors did not always work either. Definately not recommended!!! Devamı

I should have read the reviews before staying here. It was a sauna in my room and the thermostat did nothing. It never worked, I got sick from the extreme temperatures. Room had microwave/fridge and was typically clean. Close to a lot of places, but this hotel does not include parking. There are several other hotels in the area that provide parking. […] A bit shady area, nobody was staffed at the desk most of my stay, anyone could have just walked in and got onto any floor. There are cameras in the hallways; I guess it's great to know they have footage of you being robbed and/or murdered instead of preventing it in the first place. Devamı

Room was very cold. Set the thermostat to 80 and temperature never reached above 66. When heat did kick on it sounded like water rushing through the ceiling and walls. Rooms very small - and the entire hotel smelled of smoke.

I booked for a regular room with a queen bed and when I got my room it was just a full size bed which was disappointing . And the room was super small

We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to a comedy show we were going to see. The room is small but it has a nice t.v., microwave, and fridge which I hadn't expected. Breakfast was included and the customer service was nice. The area has a lot of bars and restaurants nearby so we just parked our car and walked everywhere. The mall […] nearby is a disappointment and we ended up at Applebee's after 10pm because it's right across the street which I wouldn't suggest! Overall I would stay there again if I were visiting the area. Devamı

First could not control the heat had to turn it off and let the room get cold. Either hot or cold. Size of the room small. The bed was way too soft for me to get a good sleep. Missing light bulbs in lamps. Up keep workmanship was on the poor side.

It was great. I wish I could open the windows, but what's new?

Nice place, convenient to downtown and the Riverside Theater. They love Widespread Panic fans there. The only problems we had were a key that kept de-magnetizing and had to be reset a few times, and our A/C was kind of loud for the first day but it quieted down for the rest of the weekend. We have stayed here several times and will again.

I had an awful stay. There are only 6 rooms per floor and I was surrounded with 5 full rooms of party goers on a weeknight. The brought the party into the hall multiple times until 4 am, they blared music, etc. I had to call the front desk 3 times and they couldn't get a handle on them. It made my trip for business quite tiring.

The hotel location is GREAT, easy walking distance to just about anywhere. As far as the hotel itself, I'm glad it was just a place to lay my head at 3 in the morning after a long day. Had two rooms and in one of them the AC refused to work. It wasn't very clean, almost felt like a dorm room all over again. In my opinion, just remember that you're paying […] for the hotel's location, not anything about the room. Devamı

Like any Hotel you are going to get some problems. We came in and dealt with a very rude employee. But the other employees were all very courteous. Our first room stank of smoke. They moved us to a very nice and clean corner room with no problems. Were their issues? Yes. Did they fix them. Yes. If I needed to stay in downtown Milwaukee I would stay […] again. However, downtown Milwaukee is NOT the nicest neighborhood and I can't blame the Hotel for that. Devamı

We were at this hotel for the purpose of being close to Miller Park (Brewers). There was no shuttle, but the bus stop was directly across the street. Also, the parking was in the Federal building across the street. Nice and safe. We did take the time to walk around the following day and it was a great location.

The BW Inn Towne was a good location and was close to the Mall and had a few good restaurants nearby. Offered good information in regards to the nearby local Milwaukee attractions. Overall the staff were helpful and the hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast that is included has a good selection of Cereals and pastries as well as Bagels and toast and […] even waffles :) Will definitely stay here again if Im in Milwaukee area. Devamı

We've stayed here at least twice before due to its easy-to-find downtown location. The room was super-nice, the beds and pillows majorly comfortable, thebathroom large and mildew-free. (You'd be surprised at some places that charge more.) I believe they've done some upgrading since our last stay here (about 2 yrs ago). Also, nearby covered parking was […] across the street at a federal office building, instead of at an outside lot, which meant our car stayed a lot safer and cooler. My only real complaint is about the included breakfast, which offered pastries, cereal, fruit, hot beverages, plus make-your-own waffles. I have NEVER seen waffle irons that needed such a cleaning. Plus my daughter, who was going to eat the waffle I made for her, told me after a bite or two that she thought the batter had gone bad. I did tell this to both the male staffer who was dealing with the breakfast room, as well as the young lady at the front desk when we checked out, so both would know that things weren't quite up to par. If they upgrade the breakfast a little and make sure everything's fresh, this place will be a value that's hard to beat. Devamı

Were in town for a festival and this place was very convenient to shuttle to and from festival grounds. Rooms are small but clean. Upgrades have been done since we stayed here last year. Now had microwave and frig in room and complimentary breakfast. Breakfast had a very good variety of items.

This hotel was ok. We were trying to get to the casino with the supposed shuttle that was to come. After standing and waiting for over an hour the desk staff didn't go the extra mile to help us and said it wasn't their problem it was the casino's. The room we had was smaller than a dorm room and very expensive for what it was. The breakfast was nice […] in the morning. Overall i wouldn't rush back to stay here. Devamı

Everything was OK. The hotel has seen better days, but was clean and quiet.

AC in #701 was difficult to adjust on thermostat. Would not stay on desired temperature.

The people working during the day did not help us when we complained about the air conditioner not working properly in our room. We realize it was very hot outside and the building is old, however, we paid for three rooms for two nights, that's quite an expense for us. We were not being unreasonable in having it set on 74 degrees. The air conditioner […] was not running up to the standards we expected for a Best Western. We were finally moved to another room by the evening staff. Also, one of the other rooms we had, had a major leak from the toilet up above. Our daughter, son in law and granddaughter had to move immediately for sanitation purpose. It appears to be a lack of attention on the plumbing for it to have finally reached that point of leaking.
