Mercure Hotel & Residenz Checkpoint Charlie - Berlin

We were very happy with our stay in Mercure Checkpoint Charlie albeit for one night. We were very impressed with our room, it was very spacious and airy and bed so comfortable we slept in later than planned. We would stay here again. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked a suite because we were traveling with our teenaged son, and it was ideally configured for our situation. The rooms were comfortable and much more affordable than suites or junior suites at other hotels. Breakfast, which was excellent, was included in the rate as was internet (though the router struggled to reach us on the seventh floor and […] we had to rejoin to the lobby in the evening to catch up on emails). The hotel is very convenient to sights like Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terrors but a long walk to Museum Island. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, but other than a good French restaurant on the street there is not much else to offer in terms of food or drink in the immediate vicinity. Overall, a nice boutique hotel that I'm comfortable recommending, especially if you're looking for an affordable and comfortable suite. Devamı

This hotel is fantastic. The room was spotless, spacious and well appointed. The location was great, a block from Checkpoint Charlie, the train and many museums were withing a short walking distance. The staff were very helpful, friendly and kind. The only drawback at all is no free wi-fi in the room. The breakfast was spectacular. I toured Germany for 3 weeks, and Mercure Hotel was the best hotel that I stayed in...including a couple of 5-Star hotels. The Mercure is located 3 blocks from Checkpoint C. and 2 blks. from Friedrich Str. - a longer walk to the Technik museum and Unter den Linder, (Brandenburg Gate). We were staying 4 nights in this excellent hotel around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie. Our wish was a nice, quiet hotel from walking distance to all the main attractions. All points were met. This hotel is excellent. Max at the front desk was brilliant and incredibly helpful. The location is so good because it is within walking distance of most attractions and the city centre. Guys at the bar also provided excellent customer service. A 'must stay' in Berlin.

a modern hotel in a reconstructed neighborhood, largely offices, little street life except for tourists coming to see Checkpoint charlie a block and a half away. within walking distance to a number of sights I wanted to see. Not cheap, but good value, comfort, good design and quiet.

I stayed 4 days on my own and could not be happier. Quiet spacious room, exellent location in Berlin, fantastic staff - everything went smoothly. Easy walk to underground. Got a great price on this hotel while visiting Berlin recently with some family members. Location is pretty good, near Friedrichstrasse and very close to a metro station. The room was spacious and clean, though the interior felt just a tiny bit dated. We returned to this hotel 10 days after our first visit, following a trip to Poland. We were greeted again by the very courteous reception staff and informed that we had been upgraded. Since the first room was already very large we wondered what an upgraded room could have - turned out to be a mini apartment with lobby, separate toilet and bathroom, […] a TV in sitting area with additional one in bedroom, coffee maker (lovely coffee!), balcony, Pretty nice, especially as we paid far less than we would nornmally pay for a hotel room! We were really impressed with this Mercure. Arriving straight off the sleeper train from Paris, the reception staff gave us towels and a card to use the showers and sauna, as our room wasn't yet ready (it was only 10am after all.) They then looked after our luggage while we explored Berlin. This is about 5min walk from Checkpoint Charlie where there […] is also a U-Bahn station, so it's very convenient for sightseeing. We absolutely loved our stay at checkpoint Charlie. The staff were amazing, very helpful. The rooms are extra big. The location was great, close to many sites, short walk to the u-barn. There are restaurant close by, the best coffee we have had in Europe at aroma espresso bar at the end of the street. Didn't do it breakfast, it was a little pricey at […] 18 euro, as I am not a big eater at breakfast it's not worth it for me. We were also lucky enough to be there on a Tuesday, when they have free massage available, it was just what we needed after days of long drives. One of the best properties we have stayed in. Devamı

Excellent hotel in a very convenient and quiet location with quick and easy access to all transport facilities which makes it very accessible. The staff were very responsive. We were incorrectly put in a smoking room but this was addressed in minutes once we alerted them and were transferred to an excellent studio room. Currently the hotel only has […] free WiFi in the lobby but I believe that they are in the process of providing free WiFi to the rooms. Devamı

I've been to this hotel last weekend. It's a very nice and clean hotel but certainly not worth a 9.4. It is around the corner of Checkpoint Charly but for the rest not really an inspiring neighbourhood. Obviously you have all the shops with big names in the Friedrichstrasse. Probably better for business than for holidays.

The hotel was nice and the room was ver large. The Hotel bar was not all that impressive but all the other hotel amenities were excellent. Their breakfast was quite impressive as well. The Hotel is near Checkpoint Charlie and many other tourist attractions.

Great location just enough of a distance from the main areas to be relaxed and quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. cannot think of any reason you would want to stay in any other hotel in Berlin !

The Mercure Checkpoint Charflie is an excellent choice. The rooms were HUGE and have a sitting area, clean and modern, balcony, and great lighting. The lcoation is close to Checkpoint Charlie, Jewish History Museum and other attractions....GREAT Location. The punlci trasportation U6 line is only 2 blocks and gives access to the whole city. Great location. This is a super hotel where all the investment has been in the rooms...attentive room service, helpful staff at a magnificent breakfast very professional reception. Just back after 4 nights in the Mercure Checkpoint Charlie. We thought this hotel provided us with an excellent sightseeing base. So many places were within walking distance and the U bahn was close at hand. The room was extremely comfortable and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Only gripe was the cost of breakfast which at 18 Euros seemed […] pricey. Cafe Aroma at the end of the street was perfectly adequate. We would definitely stay here again however. Devamı

Dejligt hotel med god beliggenhed. Meget venligt og smilende personale. Dejligt rent og god morgenbuffet. Vil helt sikkert bruge det igen.

morgenmaden er rigtig god, men 18 euro pr. person er meget dyrt, det er dyrere end at spise en god middag til aften ude i byen på restaurant, så enten burde den være billigere eller der skal være lidt mindre mad at vælge imellem, ellers var alt i orden både værelser og receptionen.

Mycket trevligt hotell med bra personal och bra service.

Auch mit U-Bahn gut zu erreichen (400m). Sehr geräumiges, sauberes und modernes Zimmer. Frühstück sehr reichhaltig. Konnte leider nur eine Nacht bleiben.

Jeg og en venninne bodde 4 netter på Mercure i forbindelse med filmfestivalen i Berlin. Vi var kjempefornøyd med hotellet! Store fine rom. Rent, nytt og fresht. God service og veldig god frokost inkludert i prisen. Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt, spesielt i forhold til t-bane, og vi brukte ca 20min på å gå til festivalområdet på Potsdamer plats. Veldig […] stille og rolig, da hotellet ligger i en bakgate. Anbefaler restaurant Entrecote som ligger noen meter borti gata fra hotellet (mot Checkpoint Charlie). Ville absolutt bodd der igjen! Kæmpe værelse, super lækkert badeværelse, næsten for store hovedpuder, masser af varme i gulvet på badeværelset og i radiatorerne i hele rummet! Gå afstand til mange metro stationer, nemt at kommer til seværdigheder. Massere af cafe-er og madsteder i nabolaget, tæt på supermarkeder.. kan klart anbefaled

Hotellet ligger godt placeret lige op ad Checkpoint Charlie og Friedrichsstrasse, hvor der er god mulighed for at gå på cafe/kaffebar. Der er ikke meget gang i gaden, men det skal man ikke særligt langt med metroen for at nå. Selve hotellet var dejligt rent, personalet behjælpeligt, og der er god mulighed for at spise i restauranten og morgenbuffeten. […] Morgenmaden er i den dyre ende, så hvis man ikke har den store sult om morgenen er cafeerne omkring hotellet også en mulighed. Hvis du vælger hotellet, husk så at besøge den franske restaurant Entrecote kun 50 meter nede af gaden, der serverer supergod mad, selvom facaden ligner et afdanket familieforetagende. Bestil gerne bord, nogle dage inden, da den er populær. I det hele taget en god oplevelse i Berlin... Devamı

die Übernachtung in diesem Hotel ließ den Berlinaufenthalt zu einem besonders gelungenen Erlebnis werden . Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück, komfortables Zimmer und nach dem erlebnisreichen Tag ein kostenloser Saunabesuch... - immer gerne wieder.

As chaves (cartão de acesso) do quarto do Hotel Mercure continuam sendo LAMENTÁVEIS! E isso ocorre no mundo inteiro! Se deixar a chave a menos de meio metro de um celular ou algo assim, ela desmagnetiza, e cada vez é necessário voltar na recepção para codificá-la novamente. MERCURE, QUANDO VOCÊS VÃO MUDAR ISSO????

Super centralt placeret som udgangspunkt for forskellige ture rundt i Berlin. Tæt på Berlins absolut bedste café - Café Einstein. Meget service mindet personale og fint hotel, vil helt sikkert benytte dette igen :-))))

Super hotel - fantastisk morgenmad - flotte store værelser - meget smillende og venlige personale.

Hotellet ligger ett kvarter från freidreich strasse men det är så tyst att man hör inga bilar ej heller människor. Vi bodde två vuxna och en tonåring i samma rum. Rummet kunde inte varit bättre, tonåringen fick ena änden av rummet med club fåtöljer o egen säng. Espressomaskin på rummet som var väldigt ljust ,luftigt och super rent. Rummet var mot en […] ganska stor o fräsch innergård så ingen utsikt. Men då det var knäpptyst gjorde detta inget vi var mkt nöjda med det. Frukosten var exemplarisk o utan knyssel fick vi både glutenfritt bröd o laktosfri mjölk. Vi kunde inte vara mer nöjda med detta hotel. Dessutom 2 min till Metro, flera restauranger i samma kvarter o jättefin bar med fri välkomst vin. Defenitivt att rekomendera! Devamı

This hotel deserved every last bit of money I gave. In a convenient location (less than two blocks away from Checkpoint Charlie), a great *spacious* room with lots of comfort (and even a TV speaker at the roof of the WC/shower~!!) and helpful staff!! What else can someone ask?

Sentral beliggenhet, likevel stille og fredelig da hotellet ligger i en sidegate uten særlig trafikk. 3 minutter til U-bahn, som tar deg effektivt og billig rundt i Berlin. Vi hadde superior-rom, som var mye større enn forventet. Stor og god frokost. Skulle du fortsatt være sulten etter frokost, møter du lukten av kaffe og bakevarer for hver 50. meter […] i Friedrichstrasse. Bør således være uproblematisk å skaffe seg en god start på dagen hvis man bestiller rom uten inkludert frokost. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Innsjekking fra klokken 15.00, vi ankom tidlig formiddag og regnet da heller ikke med at rommet var klart. Likevel vanket det kompensasjon i form av gratis vin i hotellets bar. Bor gjerne ved dette hotellet igjen. Devamı

Erinomaisella sijainnilla varustettu kohtuuhintainen ja siisteystasoltaan moitteeeton hotelli. Koko perheemme oli oikein tyytyväinen. Ainoana miinuksena todettakoon huonemäärään nähden liian pieni aamiaishuone ja se, että laadukas aamiainen oli niin kallis, ettei sitä pidemmällä perhelomalla olisi vättämättä varaa joka aamu hyödyntää.
