I stayed in this hotel few days ago. GREAT improvements, I must say. they remodeled the rooms and added FREE wireless service. The breakfast (continental) was very disappointing. no cereal, milk, no cream cheese or jelly or at least bagels, very light coffee (almost hot water only). Only fruits, oats and hot water. I wish they can fix the breakfast […] bar to better serve their customers. Also there is not hairdryer in the room and the lotion was missing too. Other than that, I would stay in this hotel again. The hotel is in the process of renovating with new rugs, flooring,paint, marble kitchen counters, and exterior paint. It is very nice now. Internet is finally free. The location on a quiet marina is very nice. One has to walk or drive about 1/2 mile to restaurants and stores.

This hotel has improved a lot since the last time I stayed in it. In a previous preview, I was not satisfied but below are the changes: 1. No more charges of $5 fee per night for using the internet. 2. Remodeled rooms. 3. Very clean rooms and hallways. Cons: 1. A large fee per night without breakfast. 2. No lotion at all. I had to request a small […] bottle of shampoo because none was present in my bathroom. Other than that, this hotel is much better now. If you need breakfast, just go few minutes down the road, and you will see a plaza with Starbucks and Walgreen and other places in it. I think I would consider staying here again. After booking to stay at this hotel I as called the day of my stay to be informed that the hotel was overbooked and that I could not stay there. I was placed at another hotel that did not have all the amenities that I wanted that the Extended Stay Deluxe offered so I was not satisfid. If they were overbooked then my reservation should not have gone […] through and I should not have received an confirmation number for that stay. Outside overhead lighting outside of the entry libby did not work. I mentioned this problem to the evening clerk. He tried different lightswitches, but lights still didn't work. Still no outside lighting next night. Hotel is pretty much remote. empty industrial area. doesn't feel safe at all, especially with the outside lights not working. Was very nice for a low price. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Only complaint is that we were supposed to have a coffee maker in our room but there wasn't one.

Bed was extremely hard. But it served its purpose to the best of its ability. Room was never cleaned and we stayed there for 3 nights. Not to big of an issue for us because we dont make a huge mess. Might have to just ask for them to clean it.

Liked the kitchen and the location. Small TV, hard bed. You can even open the windows. Good room for the price.

We had horrible experience with this hotel The rooms are stinky and were unclean. We asked for change of room as our room had a horrible smell but they didn't entertain our request of changing the room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

It is not a spa resort hotel, but I was satisfied with the price, location, and the room. The hotel is located harbor front of Alameda in very quiet neighborhood. It is close to a small shopping mall. It is only 20 minutes away from San Francisco. Overall a nice safe place to stay. The only negative that I could think of was that the bed was very very firm. Other than the hard bed, I really enjoyed my stay.

Check in at 3 pm , arrived at 5 pm and rooms not ready . Needs renovation, carpet, paint, beds and sheets, towels , 19in tv.. location kind of nice, sits in front of the marina and a shopping center nearby

We (young couple) stayed here for two nights. We enjoyed the surrounding view of boats and water. Lobby was nicely decorated and clean. Room was a bit drab. Curtains and bedding were clean but unappealing. Kitchen area was also clean. TV was not really good working, but enough to watch a show or two. this place is decent enough. The manager is real nice. she was friendly and helpful. theres not much around here in walking distance. but overall the hotel was what we expected. no issues.

Front desk was nice and courteous. I was expecting a view of the waterfront with the sailing boats, instead I had the view of the parking lot. the room I had wasn't the same from the pictures online, and I was hoping to have a flat screen tv like the others have. Overall, it was O.K. Not at all satisfied, but it's O.K.

Nice stay. The hotel is in a commercial district with no wanderers in site. You don't have to pay for parking. The internet is $5, but it is not super slow like the free internet that you get for free at other hotels and the overall cost is not nearly as high as surrounding hotels.

a) The hotel is supposedly 0.53 miles or so from Jack London Square. But unless we're birds and can fly across the Estuary, it's more like 1.5 miles. You cannot walk it, which is what I wanted. b) Only 1 of 2 computers working when we checked in. 15 min wait. c) No panel of metal pockets with local brochures. The hotelvwas very nice, in a nice area, sat right on the harbor. Two complaints...1st, if you are not familiar with the area, you may get confused with the signs on the freeway, as I did, and accidentally go through China town! Yes, that slight mishap set me back 45 minutes while trying to fight traffic in China town...2nd, the bed was horrible! Way […] to hard! I've never had such an experience..they don't even change the sheets between guests at this hotel. i found all kinds of filth on my bed. eventually i received new sheets, but i was already horrified by that point.

Not too bad for the price. Room was cute and had mini kitchen. Had a view of the pier so that was nice.

I've stayed at many hotel but this had to be the worst hotel.....I've ever stayed at...!!!

We stay here about once a month. This time the room had a nice view of the adjacent marina and water. Some rooms have a parking lot view. We got a King bed which was firm and there is a comfortable chair, hassock, and 2 desk/tables, a small kitchenette and large bathroom. The desk did not have Decaf coffee for us the first day and only Decaf the second […] day. There are a number of restaurants within a 5 minute drive, but none you can easily walk to. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times since it is near our kid's houses. We get a king room which has a nice but firm bed, kitchenette, reclining chair, bath , and small TV. This time the room was clean and well maintained, not always the case in the past. Dont stay here because the fire alarm will go off in the middle of the night. I am a grad student and I, as well as other classmates on separate occasions, have had to stay in Alameda and we have stayed at this extended stay hotel location. At least 3 others than myself have all had their sleep interrupted by fire alarms the night before class, all […] on separate occasions. No hotel staff were present to direct traffic, instruct us to evacuate, or to indicate when it was safe to return to our rooms. Terrible hosting duties towards the guests. Beautiful surroundings, Marina and estuary - a 10. I got a "signature" room for five bucks extra so it had been remodeled in the last year. Complaints: bed was more like a box spring - very hard. Couple of ants in bathroom - two to be exact - not bad. BUT internet out for 3 days!!! Also about 8 am every morning it sounded like an elephant running around […] in hte room above me! Price was good, staff was nice, but i got the feeling they hear a lot of complaints. Anyway beautiful setting, nice price, nice room. Not sure if I would stay there again. I was pleasantly surprised. First time staying at this hotel. Enjoyed it so much the following week I stayed at the Culver City one. Clean, convenient, comfortable and quiet, some what. Had noisy neighbors but they checked out the next night... Suggest you insulate the walls.. (smile)

This hotel was close to all points of interest and my business location; I would recommend staying at this location to everyone.

This property sits right on the water. Great view and Alameda is very nice.

Please up date the rooms with nicer finishes

I wasnt sastified with charging for use of the internet while most places do offer free wifi. It was priced at a one time fee of $4.99 for the entire stay but i was only there one night and didnt see it fit to pay that much for one night. Also I did not like how there was no continential breakfast offered as well.

While otherwise a decent hotel for the money, the bed was as hard as the floor. I struggled to get a good night's sleep, but it was impossible. Hard. As. A. Rock. If you like hard beds, then by all means, it's not a bad place. However if you're used to not waking up with a bruised spine, you may want to seek softer accommodations.

The corridors had a terrible smell. When I could not get my key to work, the girl at the front desk asked if I put it in the right door. Sheet were terrible. The view was nice

Front desk was friendly and helpful. Toilet did not flush properly and was moved to another room which toilet flushed 50% of the time. Beds were old and too firm. Convenient parking.

Minimal amenities but a nice walk along the water and marinas was a plus.

Hard beds and my bathroom had ants in it

Nice place. Check in was very smooth. Clean. One side has beautiful view of waterline with yahts all around.
