Woodstock Hotel - Ennis

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The amenities were great, especially the pool and spa area.

We enjoyed the friendly and professional staff at Woodstock. Some of the premises at Woodstock need to be updated, but the service out weighs the roughness around the edges. We really liked the shuttle service into town at night. The hotel manager refused tipping. He seemed to do practically everything and was happy to accommodate.

With such a friendly welcome and atmosphere I would have no problem recommending this hotel reception bar, restaurant and gym staff treated everyone as equal and individuals not numbers like in most. If eating in the bar the biriyani is a must but go hungry!

This Hotel is ok and that's it, for the price you pay was very doubtfull it would be outstanding but was just ok. The treatment centre in the Hotel is not run by the Hotel at all and the staff there were more friendlier and helpful than the reception staff. I actually went back to the treatment centre to ask them some questions and got vague answers […] from the main reception staff. I stayed here for one night with the wife and it was a get out of the city trip, I certainly wouldnt stay much longer than that but the area is great and the food was quite good... Overall its nothing fantastic, rooms are a little shabby and out dated and overall the Hotel just needs new decor... Not a 4 star but has a nice swimming pool and sauna if you get a chance to enjoy with all the locals using the facilities as well. If your looking for a break for one night it will suffice but as a romantic getaway it certainly is not. Devamı

Room was not really ready when I check in. The second day room service was ok then.

We enjoyed a lovely surprise when we arrived at the Woodstock Hotel. It was modern with lovely warm indoor pool, nice and friendly staff, and comfortable beds & rooms. We enjoyed a nice dinner and would recommend this hotel on a golf course, even though it is not in heart of downtown.

This hotel has its own golf course - so it is not right in town. It was perfect for a stay-over on the way out to the Cliffs of Mohr. Food in bar was very good. Service was great at front desk.

Graet hotel. A little bit out from town of Ennis but a short taxi ride would have you there in a few minutes. No nearyby shops either but other then that the value was excellent and I will be coming back.

the hotel is a bit out of the way and you can tell it was very nice in its hayday but not greatly maintained. its was a good deal for the price and thats only why i would recommend it.

My husband and I booked a night away as a birthday treat and relaxing getaway. We were in room 204 which had a bathroom for a disabled person. I couldn't lay back and relax as there was a fold-up board at the end of the bath. I don't know why we were given this room. An excellent hotel in every way. We arrived early at the hotel after an early morning flight fom manchester into shannon, and straight away the lady on reception jumped into action and got our room sorted so we could check in early. The lobby is stunning and it feels like a 4 star hotel. The room was marvelous and a good size, as well being spotless. […] I can only assume the people have mentioned ripped curtains and dirty rooms have been unlucky. The irish breakfast in the restaurant is a must, great way to start the day with views over the golf course as well as being very reasonable. we had breakfast 3 times in the restaurant and we couldn't fault it. We also had dinner one night which again for an a la carte menu was very reasonable. You must try the lamb shank. We went in spike bar a few times and the drinks are only slightly more expensive than the drinks in the local bars. The place has a good atmosphere and bar food is available if you don't want to eat in the restaurant. The leisure facilities are great and very clean. The gym is well stock with cardio and weight machines. The hotel is only about 20 mins from shannon airport and a few mins away you have the town of ennis. It is also very handy for the cliffs of moher and the burren national park,as well as being 45 mins from galway. I would definately stay here again. Devamı

Excellent value for money. Very friendly and flexible staff. Good facilities. Room was a little cold. Overall excellent choice for money paid.

Regret our only staying for one night on the way back to States from a 10 day tour of region. We had excess luggage that our car could not hold and the hotel was very accommodating for us to leave 3 bags until we arrived later in the week. Everything about hotel was nicely done and we probably had the best pub food there of our whole trip plus a very […] gracious server / manager. I found the hotel hard to find; it's in a rural area. It was hard to find the room as it's all "higgly piggly" down one hall, across a veranda, in another hall, up, down, all over the place. The room was not very clean....kinda shabby. The beds were o.k., bathroom o.k. but the carpet was horrific. I did not use the pool but it looked great. The bar […] was friendly and had nice bar staff. The pub also had nice staff, limited food but delicious. Overall not my kind of place but certainly inexpensive if that is the price range you want. This hotel is situated in a lovely setting outside the city of Ennis. We did have to drive each time we wanted to go into the city as the distance was too far to walk. The hotel itself is quite nice but the room was a bit dated and the walls between the rooms are very thin and we heard everything that was going on in the room next to us.( and I mean […] everything!!) nice hotel but more a 3 star than a 4 star.stains on the carpet, the liles in the bathroom cou do with a cleaning and the toilet wasn't the cleanest. not what you would expect in a four star hotel. food ok but be prepared for a wait, (the waiter who served the food was aslo tending the bar.) ok stay but if your expecting four star quality you'll be […] dissapointed. pool area very good, changing rooms not so good. Food in hotel excellent. not a 4 star hotel, but not 4 star prices!!!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was courteous, efficient, incredibly helpful and wonderfully pleasant. The rooms were spacious, clean and most comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing: with a swim in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, sauna and steam room. Meals were excellent, in a charming setting and reasonably priced. We were scheduled originally […] for two nights but were so very pleased we arranged our travel through Ireland to twice more pass through Innis, (a beautiful/typical little Irish town that gives the real flavor of the country), staying one additional night at Woodstock each time. The incredible low room rate you booked for us, (about half the average rate for B&B's were we stayed), was honored each time. Only regret was; we don't play golf, the course looked so good I can see a golfer going to that property just for that purpose. Devamı

Rooms needed new carpet, but for price it was acceptable. Very quiet and adeq. size rooms. Staff extremely helpful and curtious. Lobby warm and inviting. Dining was a wonderful experience.

MY FRIEND AND I STAYED HERE FOR 3 NIGHTS IN SEPTEMBER. THE STAFF WERE LOVELY AND ALTHOUGH THE SOME PARTS OF THE HOTEL NEED REFURBISHED i WOULD RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL.

Convenient location just outside a great little town of Ennis. Indoor pool, hot tub,sauna and health club were a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff and only about 20 minutes to Shannon Airport.

We enjoyed the hotel for its cleanliness, quality of food, service, comfort and cost. It was ideally situated to travel around all the sights of Clare and was very peaceful place to return to in the evenings eg. little or no traffic. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

A nice hotel in a mostly residential area. A few miles from the center of town so not appropriate for walking tours from the hotel. Ceiling had cobwebs and carpeting looked really old, but otheriwse the room was nice, bed comfortable. Golf course on site was nice but needed some work to make it really nice-we got there at the end of the rainy season […] so not much time for them to do much work. Really hilly so walking was exhausting-carts/buggies were not allowed. Restaurants on site were nice and overall the staff was friendly. Very impressed with Woodstock Hotel-we got such a good deal that we arrived at the hotel with some trepidation!! We had a very good stay , staff at the hotel were so helpful, our room was clean, but needed a little bit of attention , carpets and windows need cleaning, but over all great value for money.

Room: was in need of a good refurb - carpet was full of stains, paint falling off walls, bed was uncomfortable. Neither phone worked in the room - we asked for one that worked and never got it. Staff: some were helpful some were not. We were cold on the first night and asked for spare blanket - never got it. We loved this hotel. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the spa and leisure facilities were great and the golf course there was the icing on the cake! We ate in the restaurant one of the evenings and the food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a five minute drive to Ennis and it's very easy to get to all the tourist atttractions […] of Clare from there. I'll definitely stay there again when I return to Ennis. Devamı

When we arrived around 2pm after picking up our car from Shannon Airport. The staff at the hotel were very friendly checking in took seconds to do and we were then comfortabley in our room. The rooms are very large with an even larger bed which was lovely. The hotel has a couple of bars and a nice dining hall restaurant. The hotel is great but a car […] is essential as Ennis is too far to walk to. With car you can get to the cliffs of moher, lahinch and the burren within half and hour or so. The hotel is a good base for visiting this beautiful, charming and unspoilt part of Ireland. Just outside Ennis (an interesting town to visit with a very good choice of restaurants and pubs). We really enjoyed 'The Cloisers' for food and entertainment. Ennis is, rightly, proud of the quality of Irish music played nearly everywhere is the town. A […] car is vital to reach the hotel and tour the Clare countryside and coast. The hotel is a good base for this allowing easy access to Loop Head, Limerick, Shannon, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Galway etc. It really is an ideal base. The hotel itself is good - very friendly and helpful staff, good food and good facilities. The room was big with all you could need and very clean. It could perhaps do with a refresh in places but we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are excellent. Devamı

wonderfull hotel tucked away on the outskirts of Ennis,

hotel was inexpensive compared to others locally - don't expect luxury spa experience, expect clean value. Hotel staff helpful.

Overall the trip was good, the staff were excellent and very friendly. The hotel had very good facilities and the rooms were well equiped. This is advertised as a 4 star but it isn't it is a good 3 star minor changes could bring it up as it is just a little scruffy around the edges. Breakfast was a disappointment.

This hotel was great for the customer service, the quality of the room, the wonderful amenities, and delicious food. Its a little bit out of town, but it has a fantastic pool, golf course, hot tub, restaurant and is well worth the 10 minute drive to Ennis for dinner or drinks at night.

I stayed at the Woodstock Hotel for 6 nights and I have to honestly say that I found the hotel fulfilled my requirements exactly. While I can appreciate that the Hotel was a part of the Woodstock golfing complex, I did not participate in playing golf as I wanted to use the hotel as a base to explore the wonderful county of Clare. The facilities and […] accessability were nevertheless excellent and I will not have th slightest hesitation in staying there again or recommending the Woodstock to friends, family or work colleagues. I have stayed a total of three separate times at the hotel, and I cannot wait to go back. The professional, courteous, and friendly staff only add to the comfortable rooms. The room rate was very good value. The reception staff were very friendly. The room itself was fine. The restuarant is best avoided. We had the toughest lamb ever served to us. It was terrible food. The service in the restuaraunt was poor.

Hotel was very busy the weekend we visited and the room was not ready for the time stated however the staff where apologetic and provided complimentary drinks despite the wait only being a further 15 minutes. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Excellent value for money. Staff very welcoming. Good sized comfortable rooms. Excellent spa area with large pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.Condusive with relaxation in mind. Very isolated in rural area. Would need to hire a car.

We stayed at the Woodstock for a weekend break. We found it on the internet and were attracted by the price and facilities on offer and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a little tired and in need of refreshing but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and served until 11am! The pool and […] gym facilities were perfect for a relaxing weekend break and the hotel has a golf course next door. It was only 5 minutes drive from busy Ennis town centre which has loads of bars, restaurants and shops. We would definately stay in the Woodstock again. Devamı
