Overpriced but very nice room..Our TV remote didnt work and the front desk girl was very helpful and got us another..Wife wanted to swim but pool didnt look clean..exercise room was nice but one machine was not working..Breakfast good..would stay there again..Overall satisfied

BREAKFAST WAS GREAT! ROOM WAS NICE W/REFRIG AND MICROWAVE. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD OTHER THAN UNDER CONSTRUCTION. FLOOR 1 AND 3. EMPLOYEES WERE VERY HOSPITABLE

Very pleasant

Our stay was fine--the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to shopping and attractions. Breakfast offered a lot of variety, and I appreciated in-room coffee pot.

The Jacuzzi Tub room was great except for the lack of a Fridge and Micro. But we knew that in advance because we can read!

Expected microwave and small refrigrator in all 3 reserved rooms but they were only in 1

There were no other rooms so we had a "special access" room, which made the bathroom inconvenient. The pillow had lots of hairs on it.

For the rate we paid for a one night stay, the service was very mediocre. Upon check-in, we had to wait in a long, slow line as there was only one person working behind the desk and the hotel was sold out. Upon entering our room I noticed that the fire alarm was hanging from its wires on the ceiling with the battery removed. I reported it to the front […] desk when we left for dinner but nothing was fixed when we returned or for the remainder of our stay. The hotel pool was small and cold temperature. There was only two pool chairs and a door leading to the outside that had no latch or lock. As there were no pool towels, we went to the front desk and asked for some. The front desk person brought two towels and promised to bring more later. She never returned with towels and I noticed the towel shelf was still empty in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the free breakfast good. If we ever visit the South Haven area again we will look for different hotel accommodations. Devamı

We stayed here last year so we decided to come back. It is very convenient, 5 minutes drive to South Haven. Not luxurious of course but clean, wifi and breakfast included, perfect for people on a budget.

This was the best hotel in South Haven...... breakfast and lunch at "big boys" Slept like baby... we plan to buy a simmons sleep beauty bed.... the best. And the shopping and dinners were great. jake

Hotel and room were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to get to college and town from location.

The location of the Holiday Inn on the hotels.com website is not in the right location on the map. We were riding bikes so had to ride farther and then even asked someone in town to find out the right location of the hotel. By the time we got there, we were exhausted! Staff was very nice. Breakfast was fabulous - lots of choices, both hot and cold food. Room bedding was soiled. Hallway carpets are atrocious / stained, and elevator looks and feels like it's falling apart. Looks like there are some renovations going on however - lobby is very pleasant and comfortable.

When we pulled into the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in South Haven, we knew we were in for a long long weekend; there were more construction trucks that guest vehicles. According to what the on-duty manager said, this hotel will be under renovation for the rest of the summer. You would think a hotel in a beach destination town would […] make these kinds of upgrades in the off-season. We checked in and upon entering our room, were overcome by a strong cigarette smoke smell. As non-smokers, this was not only uncomfortable, but a health concern, as my partner is allergic. The front desk representative explained that it was technically a non-smoking room, but that the hotel had only become smoke-free three months before. They upgraded us to a suite, which was a very nice surprise. The room was clean, spacious and bright. However, the plumbing needed attention. The bathtub drain needed to be snaked, as water collected in the tub during showers, and you had to hold the toilet plunger down for almost 20 seconds in order for it to flush. But the issue that made our stay less than pleasant was the renovation. The hotel was under construction both on the interior and the exterior. I’ve stayed in several hotels that have been under renovation before, and in my experience, the renovation is kept to one side of the hotel while guests stay on the other half of the hotel, so as not to disturb the guests. This method is not practiced at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in South Haven. We could hear construction in the hallways and outside our windows at all hours of the day. One particular morning at 7 a.m., we awoke to scraping of interior walls in the hallway outside our door and to scraping of exterior walls and loud conversation outside our window. The worst part is, because they were working on the entire hotel at the same time, even if we’d requested to be moved, we still would have heard the noise. Nice hotel. Great staff. The place is small, but you'll have everything you need. My biggest issue was the noise in the room - and that wasn't too bad. We were in 101, which is right next to a mechanical room. The sounds of various systems running during the night was kind of a pain. The only other thing - and this is fussy - is that the carpet in […] the room really needed to be cleaned. Seriously. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel - but it looked good. Again, basic but good. We didn't use the pool or the work out room. We did use the wireless, which worked well. The location is convenient, but it;s not pretty. We spent the night there as a peaceful night away from home. At mid-night we heard running water in the bathroom. Upon inspection we discovered water pouring through the ceiling. We immediately called the front desk and their solutions were a) bring us towels to dry floor & they would check to see if water was left on above us or b) move us to a smaller […] room for the remainder of the evening. The staff was great, the breakfast options were well beyond expected. The fact that they had an option of milk and yogurt for the guest after hours was a very nice touch. The only thing that was a disapointment was the pool and area. It was small, the water was cool to the point were the children did not want to stay in it. The Holiday Inn Express in South Haven was very clean and quiet. It was perfect for what we needed. Just a place to stay for one night before heading out to our kite surfing lesson. It is right next to Sherman's Dairy which is very good. Blueberry ice cream is excellent. The breakfast at the express inn was hot and good.

Great experience. Came up from Chicago with my boyfriend and another couple. We stayed in a non-smoking, two queen bed room. Check-in was a breeze- took about one minute. We asked for additional towels, and the concierge prepared extra towels and toiletries for us right away. Room was clean and big- mini fridge was great to have. We really enjoyed our stay at our hotel. It was very cleanand it had a fantastic complimentory breakfast and many other extras to do. We would stay there again. Great hotel for the money.

Very nice hotel with good staff and comfortable room. Must have a rental car, no restaurants within walking distance... but a nice hotel for the price.

The hotel experience was outstanding with the exception of the noise in the morning as the hotel crews came in and out of the supply room which happens to be next to room 218. I thought a train was rolling down the tracks a couple of feet from us. That ruined what was by all other measures a wonderful weekend.

The staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast served every morning as part of the package. Would stay there again
