Hotel Ponte Sisto - Roma

Close walk to Campo de Fiori, and also Piazza Navona and Pantheon -- wonderful area. Hotel well-kept, rooms slightly small. Bathroom spacious and nice though. Good breakfast spread. Internet pretty spotty, don't plan to get work done using it.

We stayed at Ponte Sisto for 3 nights during an Italy trip for our honeymoon. Our room was beautiful - king size bed, large tub/shower. There is an elevator - after a small set of stairs from the lobby but the porter will take your bags to your room. There is a lovely courtyard/patio with tables and chairs and umbrellas. The breakfast was beyond expectations. […] The orange juice was amazing. There was an assortment of breads, meat and cheeses, jams/jellies, scrambled eggs and bacon, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee/tea and an assortment of fresh juices. It really was quite a substantial spread. Cappuccino and expresso were available on request. The location was superb. Quick walk across the pedestrian bridge and you were in the heart of the Trastevere area with lots of character, restaurants and lively night spots. Walking the other way from the hotel you are in the Piazza Navona in 10 minutes. There's a small grocery store about a block away. Location is close to several bus routes also - including one that will drop you right at the entrance to the Vatican museums. Front desk staff was helpful and very nice. Hotel Ponti Sisto is beautifully placed by the Tiber and within walking distance to all the major sights.It is also within very easy reach across the river to the Trastevere district. We stayed in a premier room which was very large and had patio doors onto a private quadrangle. The hotel also has a beautiful quadrangle garden with lovely plants and […] trees, a quiet cool place to relax after a hard days sight seeing.The staff could not have been more helpfull. Exceeded expectations....lovely location with walking proximity to entertainment districts in Transtevre, Campi and Novono. The River is a wonderful attraction. After reading the reviews I may have had it built up to be better than it was, room was very clean and staff were friendly, no wifi whatsoever which was a pain, location is ok not great and as Rome is hard to navigate we spent a lot of time trying to find the hotel (drink was not the reason). I would recommend however there maybe better locations near […] the pantheon. If you do stay then pay for the breakfast, 15 euro may seem costly but it is not, all places to eat in the area are the same price if not more expensive and less quality. Devamı

Great location, just across the river from Trastevere and a short walk to Campo de Fiori. Only downside was the lack of wifi in the room, though they did have an internet connection if you have a laptop. I did have a problem w the wifi in the lobby, though not everyone in my group did. And while the breakfast was good, as it wasn't part of our package […] it was 15 Euros per person. Quite expensive. An alternative and much cheaper solution is the supermarket next door. Devamı

We spent 8 nights at the Hotel Ponte Sisto which is a delightful hotel. The staff is really amazing, kind, friendly. We felt like we came home whenever we returned. The building is beautiful and well maintained with a lovely courtyard, a well-stocked bar, and a delicious breakfast. The only blemish on our stay was the noise from the street everynight […] from about midnight until 2 am. Anyone going to the hotel, and I would highly recommend it, be sure to ask for a room that is not on the street side. Ours was a triple and there aren't very many of those, probably all of them are on the streetside because of the logistics of the building. The consolation prize was that we had a terrace. This review is in line with most of the others. The hotel is friendly and yet professional, in a perfect location for walking to most of the sights, has comfortable and clean rooms and does a very good breakfast. It also very well located for the bars and restaurants on Campo de Fiori

We were pleased with our stay at the Ponte Sisto. We wanted a hotel near Trastevere and some of the major sites (Campo di Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, etc.) and this was a good stepoff point. Very clean, well-maintained rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. Room was very nice and spacious and overlooked the beautiful, classic Roman […] courtyard. Hotel is less than five minutes across the bridge to Trastevere and Campo di Fiori on the same side of the river. However, if you're interested in the ruins, Via Veneto, Spanish steps, Vatican, you will probably need to take a cab. Keep in mind that hotel's outlets do not fit standard American to European adapters (ours worked in all other Italian cities), but the hotel will nicely give you a working adapter if you ask. Devamı

We found the Ponte Sisto to be a nice, friendly and efficiently run hotel which was conveniently located for all the major sights of Rome and for the many reasonably priced restaurants of the Trastevere district just across the River Tiber. A particular feature of the hotel is the internal courtyard which was a very pleasant location to have breakfast […] (which was very good) and to have a night cap in the evening. Surprising find in a small side street near the Tiber. Newly refurbished with a great breakfast courtyard. While we could walk to many historic locations, markets, shops and restaurants, it also wasn't far to hop on/hop off buses. Service and amenities quite good

My wife and I just spent the first 3 nights of our honeymoon at the Hotel Ponte Sisto. I can't think of a single negative aspect of our experience. The hotel was beautiful. The staff were kind, professional, and all spoke perfect English. We were on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. Our room was must larger then we anticipated and was in pristine […] condition. The bed was comfortable. We had no problems with noise. Breakfast in the courtyard each morning was great and offered a wide selection of foods. The location is perfect for an easy stroll to Trastavere, Camp di Fiore, and Piazza Navona. Most everything in the historic district is within walking distance. The only time we took a taxi was to get to Termini Station. If I was ever going to return to Rome I would certainly stay here again! Devamı

I've stayed here 5 or 6 times now, and it continues to impress me. Not overly decadent or fancy - just clean, simple, and classic Italian in the ideal location for Rome. I travel to Rome regularly for business, and this is my #1 choice every time - much better location than Spanish Steps where all the hotels seem to be located.

Location is perfect, close to Trastevere and the wonderful sights Rome has to offer - the piazzas, the Vatican. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is terrific. Bed is very comfortable - our room overlooked the inner courtyard - a must - with a view of the Vatican dome.

The Ponte Sisto Hotel was quite nice. The center patio area at the hotel was very beautiful, and everything at the hotel was well maintained. The hotel staff was quite friendly, helpful, and either spoke English, or was able to understand what I was trying to say in my very poorly expressed Italian. : - ) The sleeping area of the room was basic, but […] comfortable. The bathroom was constructed of beautiful marble, with a full shower and bath. The only negative experience that we encountered during our stay was that the temperature control of the room was very limited. The entire hotel either has cooling or heating, not the ability to switch back and forth between both. We were traveling in November, during an unusually warm time; which in turn meant the room was hot with no way to cool it off, due to the cooling system already having been turned off for the season. Unfortunately this seems to be a common limitation with hotels/ buildings in Italy. The location of the hotel is great, and is not in the main tourist area of Rome. This was exactly what we were looking for, however I know some travelers prefer different. We have/ would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Devamı

This hotel was everything we could have asked for and more. They arranged for a private car upon request to pick us up at the airport and it was the start of a great stay. The driver was prompt and got us to the hotel with ease. We had mentioned to the hotel that we were on our honeymoon and they gave us a bottle of Italian wine in our room when we […] arrived. The entire staff (save one surly waitress that we only saw once in the bar the entire 5 days we were there) was more than helpful and courteous. When we had a question about how to get somewhere they'd pull out a map and show us the route, even making reservations for us one night at a hard-to-get-into- place. We met so many nice travelers by spending our down time (5pm - 7pm) in the beautiful courtyard that the hotel has. We would sit out each night and meet tons of people, laughing and sharing stories about where we'd come from. The location is more than ideal. We walked to EVERYTHING, except the Spanish Steps, which we didn't have time for. The Campo Di Fiori is only a 2 minute walk away and is a fresh produce market in the morning and turns to a hip, restaurant scene in the evening. A great meat store is in the Campo as well and has a huge selection of everything pork - cured, dried, smoked. yum! There is also a small grocery store directly next to the hotel where we bought all our wine, snacks and water which was extremely convienient and I would reccomend highly - the prices cannot be beat! Our room seemed small at first (we are used to the huge American rooms) but I must say that after our 5 days there we were very happy with the size and it seemed very cozy, not cramped. It helped that everything seemed like new and was extremely clean and modern, very modern. The breakfast (I found out later) was very typical of what we found in all the hotel's we stayed at during our long trip in Italy. well young being (31 and 33) - we felt this hotel was easily in the best spot for us. just a quick minute walk across the ponte sisto bridge took us to trestavere a very fun night spot for dinner and drinks. plus you are just a 3 minute walk from the campo de fiori another great place to people watch while enjoying some vino rossa de la cassa (day or […] night). overall this location is in a perfect central location to walk to all the best spots of rome. i'm sure you can find cheaper places to stay but i felt the amenities of the room/hotel, cleanliness and contemporary rooms, free wi-fi and breakfast made it well worth the cost. great stay - would highly recommend this spot. A lovely hotel with good rooms. Ours overlooked Via Pettinari which was great little pedestrian thoroughfare although if your a light sleeper then the late night revellers might disturb you ( especially if Notte Bianca coincides with your stay!) as they wend their way home. 2泊しました。思っていた以上にホテル・部屋ともにキレイでした。朝食は別料金でしたが、種類の多さもちょうどいい感じでした。場所は真実の口やコロッセオまでも徒歩で行けるのでGOODです。橋の向こうにあるトラステベスという街は日本人がほとんどいなくて、地元民が多く、金曜日の夜ということもあり大変賑わっていました。パッケージツアーでは味わえない感じでよかったです。彼氏も大満足でした。

Hotellet har førsteklasses beliggenhet. Servicen var upåklagelig og frokosten likeså. Hotellet har en romslig parkeringsplass i bakgården, meget praktisk.

Hotelet anbefales. Central beliggenhed, god comfort, fin service.

Et dejligt hotel, som jeg nød meget at bo på. Jeg har ikke yderligere bemærkninger.

Das Hotel Ponte Sisto ist in hervorragender Weise für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt in absoluter Nähe aller Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt geeignet. Sehr ruhige Lage und Sauberkeit sind bervorzuheben.Service, Freundlichkeit und ein hervorragendes Frühstück im malerischen Innenhof verschönen den Aufenthalt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Det er udefra svært at se der ligger et hotel, men inde åbner det sig op som andre steder i Rom, med en dejlig gård med palmer hvor morgenmaden og senere en drink kunne nydes.Hotellet er rent og velholdt, personalet venlige og hjælpsomme. Tagterassen giver en dejlig udsigt over tagene.Og vi var heldige at få vores egen lille private balkon med bord […] og stole og udsigt til Palazzo Spada. Das Hotel Ponte di Sisto liegt in einem sehr typischen Stadtteil von Rom, zwischen Trastevere und dem Campo di Fiori, wo am Abend draussen gelebt wird. Dass die anderen Gebäude in der Gasse noch nicht renoviert sind, vergisst man schnell, wenn man das Hotel betritt. Das Frühstück wird im kleinen Garten im Innenhof eingenommen , das Büffet lässt europäsiche […] Herzen hörer schlagen. Auch den Abend kann man im Gärtchen sehr ruhig ausklingen lassen. Auch meine 2 Teenager-Begleiterinnen warend begeistert: WLAN gratis und funktionierte tadellos. Nicht verpassen: die kleinen Stände und Restaurants und die Bootsfahrt am Abend auf dem Tevere. Flott hotell. Fin beliggenhet i forhold til alle severdigheter. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Rent og nytt over alt. Veldig fin frokost. Veldig fint rom med god rengjøring av rommene.

Very nice hotel with good service. Always there to help us with find godd places, booking tables, ordering taxi etc. The breakfast was good, but simple. I had expected fresh bread for breakfast.

Fantastisk hotell, som jeg virkelig kan anbefale! Vi bodde her fra mandag til fredag på bryllupsreise, og det var perfekt. Ligger i gå avstand til alle flotte serverdigheter. Flotte rom, god frokost og god service. Viss det skulle være noe negativt å si, så er sengene i det hardeste laget.

Ett bra hotell som fungerer godt som base for ett vellykket Roma opphold. Pent og ryddig med hyggelig betjening. Veldig bra frokost. Sentralt plassert nær Campo Dei Fiori. Kort vei til severdigheter, restauranter og shopping. Kan trygt anbefales.

Hyggeligt hotel i gåafstand til alt. 10 minutter til Piazza Navona, 25 min. til Den Spandske trappe og 30-40 minutter til Vatikanet og Colloseum. Stor morgenbuffet i dejlig gårdhave. Værelset var ikke det største, men hyggelig. Eneste problem var, at elevatoren kun gik ned til 1. sal, så vi skulle bære klapvognen den sidste etage ned.
