Hippodrome - İstanbul

Spent 3 nights at this hotel - good value for money. Hotel extremely well located for all the main sights - everything was within walking distance. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming plus the room was very clean and comfortable. We were allocated a room in another building to that of the main hotel but were prepared for this having reader other […] reviews of the hotel - not a problem. Tea and Coffee available in the room and air con. if required. Breakfast was served in yet another hotel in the same street (1 min stroll away if that), again not a problem. The breakfast was good and the large room was surrounded by a terrace offering fabulous views of the Blue Mosque. On a sunny day you could also enjoy your breakfast on the terrace. We would certainly stay here again. Tip - we travelled from main airport by Rail and Tram for about 3.00 Euros each but for our return journey we booked a pickup with the office next to the hotel for 5.00 Euros per person which was really good value. I can't say enough good things about the Hippodrome Hotel. Location is perfect.It's a quick walk to the Blue Mosque, AyaSophia, Topkapi, etc. The staff - especially Shamir - makes you feel instantly at home. He is knowledgeable and very helpful. The location for this hotel couldn't be better--just steps to the Blue Mosque and Aghia Sophia! We stayed in several hotels throughout Turkey, and the food included with the room at Hippodrome was by far the best. You walk over for breakfast to a neighboring hotel, but it is worth it. It's a full, hot spread and rather good. The hotel also serves tea […] and cookies every afternoon from 3-5. The double room includes twin beds unless you specifically specify a nicer room--that could throw a wrench into romance. Don't take the hotels transportation service--it is overpriced airport tranport relative to others in the area. They aren't too pushy about it, though. In general, the staff was nice, the breakfast was good and for a budget hotel in Turkey, it was the best of the lot we tried. If you are looking for convenience and cheap price (but don't need fancy amenities) then this is a great choice! Devamı

This small hotel located two blocks from the most famous sights in Istanbul. The staff is very friendly and will try to accomadate your requests. A very nice breakfast is provided each morning at the Best Western Hotel down the street. My room was located off the main lobby, I was glad not to have to climb stairs, although a lift is available.It is […] very apparant there is no maintainence staff. The first day the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The front desk was notified, they told housekeeping ,the housekeeper set the holder on the shelf over the sink and there it remained for the 8 days I was in residence. The shower handle was broken and then taped up. water came out of the shower head, but a lot of water gushed out of the taped portion of the handle. The faucet in the shower was old and didn't work well. The room was small and loaded up with two single beds and an old straight back chair. I had to push the beds together to give my self some room to sit on the side of the bed.and to be able to open the little closet. The only place for the suitcase was on the second bed. It would have been very hard to have two people in this room.The best part you are surronded by the sights and sounds of Istanbul. Devamı

My husband and I stayed at the Hippodrome for 2 nights. We'd never been to Istanbul and weren't sure what to expect. The hotel was great! The location is in easy walking distance of many 'must-see' sights in Old Istanbul. The staff is attentive and dedicated to making your stay comfortable and easy. A very quaint and convenient choice to the major sites. Front desk was very friendly and helpful and gave food reccomendatons. Breakfast on the roof top was fabulous and beautiful view. the hotel also provided round trip transfer from the hotel for very affordable rates each way. It was fast and right on time.

Hotel put us in an annexe for the first night, and then moved us to the hotel. Decor and bathrooms dated. Brilliant location, close to restaurants and Sultanamhet sights. Breakfast in 'sister' hotel down the road, in lovely rooftop restaurant with some outside tables, overlooking the sea and Blue Mosque.

Vraiment rien à redire. Accueil sympa et pro, chambre confortable et propre. Petit déjeuner classique et bien fourni dans une salle avec vue. Situé juste en dessous de la Mosquée Bleue.

Расположение отеля идеальное, метрах в100 от главных достопримечательностей. Номер скромный, небольшой, все чисто, аккуратно, чайник, чай. Небольшая кухня есть в коридоре. Для тех, кто приехал посмотреть город и хочет комфортно ночевать, не проводя много времени в гостинице. Еда вкусная уровня 4 звезд турецких, завтрак через дорогу.

Hotelet ligger midt i gamlebyen mellom Hagia Sofia og den blå Moske. Herfra er det gangavstand til alt. Mange barer og kafeeer i nærheten. Frokostbuffe på beste westerns tak terrasse nedi gaten. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening og koselige rom.

Min mor og jeg boede seks nætter på hotellet. Vi valgte det pga. beliggenheden og morgenmaden. Begge dele var fantastiske. Servicen var i top (små ting blev ordnet med det samme og internettet var gratis) Meget sød og hjælpsom receptionist. Et lille værelse men med alle de ting, som vi behøvede; læselamper, aircon, radiator, tv, køleskab, vandkoger, […] stort skab med spejle, fint badeværelse og super, super lækker morgenmad med en meget fin udsigt over den nye bydel og strædet. Helt idielt for å bevege seg rundt i de historiske områder av Istanbul. Enkelt og greit samt at det var gangavstand til de aller fleste high lights.

Hotel Hippodrome ligger i Sultanahmet. De stora sevärdheterna som Ayia Sofia och Sultanahmet Cami ligger nästgårds. Området har en tydlig turistisk karaktär, det mesta ganska dyrt, men jag reste som ensam kvinna och kände mig helt trygg i området även mycket sent på kvällarna - en stor fördel. Hotellpersonalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Hotellrummet […] var aningen litet, men för min del av ett angenämt skäl - en rejält tilltagen säng. Rent och snyggt, och en väl fungerande AC som verkligen behövdes i den istanbulska hettan. För den som inte tänker sitta på hotellrummet - och vem åker till Istanbul av DET skälet - kan jag rekommendera Hippodrome. Helt okej skulle jag säga. Devamı
