Beautiful scenic area with horse stables and golf course nearby. Great dinner menu. Unfortunately, pre-paid reserved breakfast was cold.

The setting is quite beautiful, well outside of town along the banks of the river. The staff is invariably friendly and knowledgeable. If there is a downside, it's the food in the restaurant. It's not bad at all, but it's not quite up to the rest of the hotel.

We had a lovely overnight stay at the inn. It was difficult to find, but everyone was really helpful once we arrived, and we had a fantastic meal in the hotel dining room. The breakfast was mediocre in comparison, but once again, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Very good hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Food in restaurant outstanding and only disappointment was no cooked breakfast. Lovely setting and very friendly staff. The outside entrance could do with being tidied up a bit but inside was clean and very comfortable. Nice small swimming pool and hot tub with lovely views of the river. Nice room with wonderful view, but mattresses were very uncomfortable, way way too hard. There were three adults in our room on two queen beds, and we all had a very uncomfortable night on those mattresses. Otherwise room and ammenities in it were great. We arrived around 7pm, after a 10 hour car trip and after check-in headed immediately for dinner […] in the dining room. We were turned away and told we would need to eat in the bar, because we had no reservation, even though the dining room was 3/4 empty. I was quite put off by this. The food was very good though. The hotel is situated in a lovely surrounding, but beware of the quirks of this charming place: the address cannot be found on Google Maps or my GPS; i had to call the hotel to find a way to get there. The guest staff typically leaves at 11 PM; i was fortunate that the lady at reception agreed to stay till we arrived, otherwise we may have never found […] this place late at night.. Devamı

They operate the wrong post code and admitted that "most people take hours to find them". They claim, on their web site to have an aquestrian centre where as in actual fact they keep petting horses. Their so called delux room has neither a safe nor a fridge. Their breakfast is ddreadfull. The staff are plesent but useless. They have not got a lift nor […] do they have assistance to carry baggage to the upstair bedrooms. They are rated number 1 in the area on trip advisor. I do really wounder as to how that is possible. It is a pleasant hotel outside of Kamloops. We were on our way to Jasper from Bellingham and it was a nice stop half way. Dinner on the river was very pleasant.

We had troubles getting to the hotel due to highway issues. When we tried to contact the hotel to adjust our reservation, they obviously took the phone off the hook as others would be having the same issues. Evening Meal was expensive and very poor quality - promised asparagus - gave us horrible corn, scalloped potatos cod and partially raw. Trout was very good and Tin Horn Creek wine was excellent.

The rooms are fantastic and the staff are very attentive. The only drawback is it's a bit far away from anything, but if you don't mind a bit of a drive it makes for a quiet and relaxing place to rest your head.

A nice relaxing weekend getaway for my husband and I. The hotel is a little dated, the hot tub wasn't overly clean and the train was noisy in the middle of the night. Walls/doors seem a little thin. The service was great and the location is amazing. Continental breakfast was good but not worth $10. Lovely hotel with friendly staff. If you have to stay at Kamloop (which I don't recommend), this will be quite pleasant. There is a golf course next door and there are horses and lamas on the property. It is a long way out of town which I think is a plus but this may be inconvenient to others.

The South Thompsen Inn is a beautiful hotel but the problem was finding the hotel without a GPS in my rental car. The basic Kamloops map given at the airport is almost completely useless in trying to find this very out of the way location. Canadian streets, highways, exits are only navigable by locals and those with pinpoint GPS units. The very nice […] clerk printed out on Google maps the way back to the airport and even those directions were completely misleading. In Kamloops, roads change names without any apparent reason and signs directing you to the highways are few and far between. This hotel is 20 minutes away from downtown Kamloops. Devamı

This is a picturesque setting with horse paddocks and llamas grazing. The rooms we has were fine but rather dated in decor. We dined in their restaurant rather than drive back to Kamloops and the food wAs excellent.

We stopped here when driving from Vancouver to Jasper in the Rockies. It's a perfect place for an overnight being just outside the town on Kamloops. Staff were super friendly, our room clean and comfy (if a little chintzy) with 2 double beds and a nice view. The bar / restaurant on stie was good and reasonably priced. We ate outside on the terrace […] where you get a view over the river. There is a an outdoor pool to lounge by, plus paddocks to explore and bikes to use. It's a little out on it's own, a drive back into Kamloops if you want anything, but that wasn't an issue for us as the hotel had everything we needed. Devamı

Not kid friendly at all. Could not eat in the restaurant because of wedding. Room patios were filthy. Wanted to charge extra for everything. Room service for 2 appitizers took almost 2 hours. I do not recommend this place at all.

Beautiful grounds but overpriced hotel. The rooms were mediocre to fair. There were weddings on the day of my arrival and so no bar or restaurant service for me. It was inconvenient and I was tired but had to make the drive to kamloops to find something for dinner. Fantastic place to stay. Fiance took a chance to book this hotel for work I had in the area. Did not expect 55 acres of land, horses and views of the river! Great place to stay for everyone: family, weddings, romantics, work, friends (and golfers). Above all: very good service with staff ready and willing to help and make your experience a lasting […] one. Food at the lounge is also great. I pretty much had half of the entire menu, but my favourites are the fish and chips, penne bolognese, and french onion soup. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and already have. Thank you! The Inn was quaint and the people very friendly. Our room was large with wireless internet, a large flat screen TV, 2 comfortable queen beds, but no refridgerator or microwave, no real work space, minimal seating. The people were great but the food was hit or miss. Our first dinner was great, our second was our last - the fish and chips were overbreaded […] and overcooked. Breakfast was cold cereal, a stale muffin, cut fruit and coffee. Needless to say we ate out a lot. We ordered breakfast the 2nd day early because of a meeting and were assured it would be available. At the appointed time we went down to find all the lights off and no one about. 20 minutes later we were offered coffee but had to leave before we could have breakfast. They also missed a wakeup call, leaving us late for another appointment. All in all, if you want a laid back inn or constant golf, its a great place, but if you have a schedule to keep or want to eat in, you might want to find another place. Devamı

Our stay occurred in April during the week so the inn was quiet. We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed the company of the other inn guests. The rooms were very comfortable and had great character, the veranda was excellent and although it was a little cold to avail of the atmosphere I can only imagine the ambiance on a warm summer evening in conversation […] with other guests. This was a lovely inn just outside of Kamloops. The location was great; beside the river, away from the city and the highway. It was lovely to be able to have our dog with us. It is definately a small operation (in a good thing!).

The hotel was nowhere near Kamloops, which is what we searched for, but it was a really nice place to stay. Bed was comfy, room was clean and good sized. The optional continental breakfast for close to $10 was a little too much for us though!

Had to call for directions, not hard to find once you know where you are going. Nice quiet location, great food friendly staff. Located just off the river - great view from the balcony. Didn't realize there were horses and a golf course, will absolutely book a tee-time next visit.

We were surprised that the Inn wasn't in Kamloops, particularly since we drove into the city only to find that we had passed by it a half-hour earlier and had to drive back. We were also surprised to find that it had this "Kentucky horse-farm" design theme. It was, however, quite comfortable The dining room was "undersubscribed" (as there was only one […] other couple, and we were attended by two "part-time" waitresses - they were also working in the main dining room and bar). If you want to stay in a beautiful spot, off the beaten path, for quiet and solace and beauty, this is the place. The rooms are charming, hard wood floors, lovely decor, with views of the river or surrounding hills that are stunning. Every time I looked outside, it took my breath away.
