Citadines Prestige Trafalgar Square London - Londra

My wife and I just stayed here for one wonderful week, and I simply cannot relate to any of the negative reviews posted here. We live in San Francisco, so I guess a small room has less of an impact on us than most. Some bozo who couldn't figure out the ceramic cooktop set off the smoke alarm at 23:30 one night, but that's not the hotel's fault. The […] directions for it's use were only in English, so the management may want to take a closer look at that. Otherwise, the only quibble we had was that they do not have any washcloths on the premises. Had to find two at a pharmacy 'round the corner. No big deal. As stated earlier, the location is tops (mere steps between Trafalgar Square and the Thames), as was the desk service and the cleanliness of the room. We would happily stay here again! Devamı

Booked Citadines for its location knowing that it was only for one night but surprised about the poor quality. There was no TV reception so was moved (only room available was an upgrade) but TV signal issues still an issue. Staff tried their best but somethings obviously can't be fixed! The hotel is very central, what allows you to walk everywhere. The room is not veru big but there's a kitchen which is very handy, I'd defintelly stay there again and will recommend to my friends.

Good location. Staff is helpful and rooms are well kept/maintained. Variation in room details on hotels.com website & actual room which can be amended. Would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay in London.

They hotel was great and the stay was great. The one issue I had was the wifi, it was horrible, hard to connect, connection didn't last and did not work on some floors. When I looked to the hotel for assistance, the answer I received was that no one else has complained about it, it must be my computer. The other two groups that went with me had issues […] as well. The only problem - WiFi in room is really poor. Everything else was perfect. Stuff is very friendly and helpful, location is the best.

I was in London on business and this was the perfect location. 1/2 block from nearest tube stop, 1/2 block from the Thames, and walking/running distance to St. James, Green and Hyde Parks, etc. I was pleasantly surprised that it had just about a full kitchen and free wifi. Great hotel, only a short walk from Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus and the underground. Friendly staff and my room was large, clean and quiet. Not the cheapest hotel there is, but you get what you pay for.

After being unable to find accommodation in my usual choices in Mayfair, I spent 10 days at the Citadines Trafalger Square.What an excellent choice. The rooms were not spacios, but large enough, with the service as good as you could expect for an apartment hotel for a lot less buck (than my regulars). As for the location; if you have business in the […] City, but still like to enjoy London in the West End, I don not think you could find a better positioned establishment. If you are going to spend a little time in London and want to be able to get to everything in the tourist centre on foot, then this is a great location. If you also have a couple of kids and are happy with the odd meal at home then the suite prices suddenly start to make real sense. The West End of London is really best done above ground and everything […] is walking distance from Trafalgar Square which is 1 minute from the hotel front door. You can get across the river to the South Bank and along to Borough Market and London Bridge, North to Regent Street and Oxford Street, East to Covent Garden and West to Piccadilly and Mayfair, all within a 20 minute walk. Check in could be speedier, the normal morning rush you find in all hotels is sometimes extreme at Citadines.

Great values for money, fantastic location and good quality room.

Close to the Tube. Excellent service. Helpful and kind staff. Nice studio. Absolutely a hotel to recommend.

Great location to visit the prime London museums

We were 3 minutes from Trafalgar Square, and, in the opposite direction, Embankment tube and the footbridge over to the Waterloo/Old Vic Theater area. The room was large and sunny, facing Northumberland Street. It was great having cooking facilities in the room, but we wished some of our neighbors had stuck to more traditional cooking and eating times, […] or had chosen food with fewer onions. Location can't be beat, virtually a stroll to many of London's major attractions and steps to the London Underground access. The hotel rennovations are nearly complete and the refurbished rooms are comfortable, spacious and practical. I found my stay of three nights to be very enjoyable, the free in-room internet worked very well, and I would certainly […] return. The breakfast was not really worth the price, but there are plenty of alternatives nearby or one could certainly prepare a fine breakfast and other meals in the fully equipped and functional kitchenette! Very conveniently located hotel in the heart of London my initial stay was excellent and at an attractive price. However when I went back to rebook another stay the price had risen by 50%! I then went back to searching the Internet through hotels.com this was a pity because it was initially great value for money and ithink many business travellers would […] have found it very attractive. We loved the location of the hotel and also our room. We would definitely like to stay there again. The only negative thing is that the floor was so cold.

Very good value for the location. 5 minutes walk from Trafalgar Sq. Room great and would be perfect for a longer stay.

This hotel was under renovation during our stay but over all the value, service, location, room and every thing to go with this trip was wonderful. I would stay here every time I end up in London if posable.

Really convenient for central London. Hotel was undergoing some renovation when we stayed but was Still clean and friendly. Although TVs in rooms the free view channels did not always work, so a little disappointing when unwinding from the day. Also the kitchen area was great but some panels came off when pulled by mistake. Easily corrected.

Really loved my stay here. It's a very modern hotel. My room had a kitchenette, complete with a mini-dishwasher. The location is central to all the nightlife, the key attractions, and is very close to the jubilee bridges. The only con was that, at the time I was there, WiFi wasn't accessible in rooms (there was a LAN connection tho).

Centre of London, cheap and really good standard. this was a bargain and far more than we were expencting. The room was newly refurbished, stylish and well equipped, well done guys just what we needed.

Citadines Trafalgar Square is currently renovating however we were not inconvenienced during our 6 night stay. Hotel staff Alex, Sandra, Manuel very pleasant and professional and have great customer service ethics. They were always availabe to answer questions and to provide us the needs we requested regarding fresh towels, etc. It is presently a Apart-Hotel […] however we were told that come January it will have all the same services of a hotel (daily housekeeping services). We would defitely go back to the Citadines our 7th floor apartment was modern and clean and very quiet. Devamı

dissapointing, bed was a pullout sofa bed and jolly uncomfy, would not have booked this and isnt described as such on the booking info, otherwise appt was nice but a poor nights sleep is a big factor if enjoyment of stay

We recently stayed at the Citadines Trafalgar Square on October 6th for one night. This was our last night in London and we wanted to try and stay a little closer to things. When booking this hotel the pictures and location were amazing. There was a side note mentioning a renovation was taking place but we thought no big deal, they are just doing some […] repairs and updating. When we arrived to the front of the hotel we were like "WOW what a great locaton, street, and building". The building it self looks very rich. When we entered the lobby it was nothing special,we then checked in, they mentioned they only had 2 twin beds left would that be okay. That was not okay for me becuase we had pre-paid for a full or king I can't remember exactly. So the front desk agent said he would upgrade us to a bigger room with a full size bed. When we got to our room I could not have been more disappointed. the room was so old and so outdated. The carpet was disgusting I did not even want to take my shoes off at one point I needed to sit on the floor so layed a towel down just so I would not have to sit on the nasty floor. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for the rates they asking. This was the last night of our vacation and we were totally bummed to have this as our last night stay. What a bad end to our fabulous trip. We ended up getting up really early and leaving just so we would not have to stay any longer. Devamı

Mr Zoltan at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Renovated room is very pleasant and well equipped. Location is superb.

Everything was as the website stated. Some tips for the area: Embankment metro was ~100 meters away. this was the one we always used. if you take a left out of the hotel (towards the river), there is a 24hr.A&P grocery under the 'embankment' along with coffee/food, shops,etc.-as you exit this area, the 'metro station part' is to your right. In addition, […] if you exit the hotel lobby & cross the street & go right (towards traf.square), stay on this road as it bends toward the left & there will be a Tesco on your left (Citadines said it was "24hr"). Also, the Sherlock Holmes Pub was closed due to renovations until later this year, so, if you leave hotel lobby & go right (on the same side of st. as hotel)..when you see Sherlock Holmes set back on your right, go towards it & past it down the narrow street & there is a big pub called the "Ship & Shovell" with very friendly bar staff & customers, great atmosphere & 3.50 pounds for 1 pint. all ages were there, very welcoming, clean bathrooms & less than 5 min. walk from hotel. Laundy in the basement of Citadines was 9 pounds wash & dry (5 for wash & 4 for dry). Unfortunately they are renovating and the new rooms will probably be quite expensive. Try to stay here before that happens--the 'apartments' are fine in my opinion & the location cant be beat. Devamı

this was a very clean hotel nice staff, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Given the cost in London it was a godsend to have your own kitcheneete with all the basics, Fridge,microwave, Toaster, Dishwasher, and a Tesco store only 150yds away. Will definately stay there again and recommend to all my friends and colleagues.

Located close to all major London attarctions. Close to Charing cross & Embankment subway stations (5 minutes walk). Cuisinette is very practical. Sofa that transforms into a double bed is not vey confortable. On the other hand, it's a very good deal for the price.

We had a good stay. However, the telephone system malfunctioned and no outgoing calls could be made. The reception staff apologised, but the problem was not resolved during our stay. The reception some times did not answer when called. Overall, given the proximity to most conveniences and the reasonable room charges, the stay was good.

By American standards, this hotel is low quality for the price. Most of the rooms are in need of renovation. Ugly colors of green and yellow. Very uncomfortable furniture. Bathtub downright dangerous to get it/out of and a slip risk in use. Hotel staff mostly detached and not helpful. Internet connection constantly dropping out- Skype was a total frustration. […] Now for the good news- the rooms are large by London standards. The location is excellent- easy walking distance to Trafalgar and Leicester Squares, theatres. Several subway lines within a 5 minute walk. Good bus connections within 1-2 blocks. If you can get a price you're comfortable with, don't need to be catered to, don't need a lot of amenities, this hotel is worth considering. This place is a rip off in a nice location. Only good for a night or two at most. Uncomfortable bedding (it's a foldout sofa). No daily maid service - if you want that you have to pay extra. They didn't even provide fresh towels. Carpet in room was stained. Manager was rude when I requested extra pillows, which I need for comfortable sleep - I had […] to beg and explain my phsical condtion. He gave me less than what I asked for and even then he was surly about it. I couldn't even check out to move to another hotel; they would not issue a refund because of a prior pre-payment agreement. So I was stuck, which is how I suspect they lure and keep guests. The continental breakfast is also a ripoff. For what they offer (not much) It should be free to guests; especially when there are better, less expensive places just down the block. Devamı

This is a below average hotel in a nice area. Citadines are technically apartments, but it's still run like a hotel, even though they did not provide daily maid service or replace towels. If you want your room cleaned (like any other hotel in the world), you have to pay extra. The manager was rude, especially when I requested extra pillows for a physical […] condition. I've never, at any other hotel, whether rustic or fine, been denied extra pillows, but this guy argued with me, suggesting that I might be sneaking another guest into the room. He eventually gave in partly and grudgingly, making me feel like I was imposing. Their pillows (they normally provide only two) are flat as pancakes and I ended up with a sore neck and shoulder. The 'beds' are fold out sofas and not especially comfortable. I got some kind of insect bites on my last visit; I don't know how else I could have gotten them if not from the bedding. They also charge 11 pounds for a rather inadequate continental breakfast. This is convenient if you are pressed for time for a morning flight, but you can get better food for much less at the places up the street. They do offer one computer in the lobby for free internet access, where you can conduct your flight affairs. Devamı
