Hotel Casa de los Mercaderes - Seville

A very nice hotel in the city center. Clean, spacious. Bathroom very nice. Quality is above expectation. There is noise problem, yet the hotel solved the problem with thick special curtains. We spent 2 days (as a young couple) in this hotel and certainly recommend this hotel to everybody.

For some reason, we were moved to the sister hotel of Mercaderes, the Casa de la Juderia, so this review is really for that hotel. This place is unquestionably one of a kind. It is right in the center of the Barrio Santa Cruz and perfect for seeing that area. Bring a god map because the neighborhood is a real labyrinth. Also a warning - we arrived […] by car late at night on a Thursday, the streets are extremely narrow and windy and filled with people (we visited in June). Get directions in advance to the parking lot instead of going to the hotel, since you will hardly be able to stop to unload if there is traffic behind you. Do not rely on Google or iphone maps to get you here, we ran in circles for over an hour before we were able to find it. Those apps are amazing but they don't know these streets! Once we arrived, we were led by a porter through the hotel to our room. This was quite a journey, though several interconnected houses, past underground grottoes and openair gardens. The layout is daunting, and you will often encounter other guests wandering about as lost as you are, but the staff is helpful in steering you right, and after a few tries you start to get the hang of it. The Juderia really makes you feel like you are staying amid history, while not feeling overstuffed or mothballed like other historic hotels I've visited. We had an inexpensive room but I imagine the larger rooms are quite opulent. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel to a friend, it creates stories you will never forget. Devamı

The hotel is in a great location once there. But is quite a walk from the bus/train station. The hotel is nice except for the atrium. Don't be fooled by the pictures, it is anything but romantic. If you are unlucky like we were to get a room facing the 3 story atrium, you will need ear plugs to block out the aplified echos of people chatting and kids […] screaming. There won't be any natural light or ventilation either. The only good thing about this room is that the "free wi-fi" is only in the lobby/attrium area, but we managed to get reception by opening our room window, but had to close it whenever the attrium got too noisy. Otherwise, the room was clean and nice (except for the poor design of the shower which left the bathroom floor soaked) and the staff were nice and helpful. Devamı

Very nice hotel, quiet rooms, polite and helpful staff. Location is great.

I would not rate this as a four star hotel , however it is in a great location right in the heart of Seville and close to the Cathedral!

4 star service & location,3mn from the cathedral. room was with a dirty carpet & old dirty tiles in the bathroom ,car park @ 21e for 24hr & nearly impossible by car ,had to get a taxi ti drive me there.overhall a nice place to stay for 1 night to visit seville but i'm not considering it as a 4*.

The location of this Hotel is really great, its a stones throw from all major attractions. Our room was very small, almost cramped, but had the advantage at been at the rear of the Hotel. No noise at night. Probably the best shower we have had in a Hotel. Have given an overall rating of 3* I don't thing a 4* rating is appropriate for these premises […] I would not have a problem using it again or recommending it to anyone as a base for seeing Seville. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely this hotel was. The staff was helpful and accommodating, even with our limited Spanish. This was a great find in a good location in walking distance of the Cathedral and major attractions, as well as dining.

This hotel is in a good location. The rooms are your typically European style small and sparse but you shouldn't be spending time in the room but exploring the area. Located near a main plaza, shopping stores, and the Catherdral and Alcazar it is in a good location. Sevilla is a wonderful city to explore. and the hotel is in a nice location to do it […] from. Hotel was an excellent choice, rooms are a little small but comfortable. Walk distance to all attractions in Seville. If you are driving a car is a little hard to get to the hotel as the down town is closed to regular vehicles. If driving parking is an additional 21 EUR a day.

My wife, teenage son, and I enjoyed our stay. The room had comfortable beds and a foldout for our son. It was very clean and convenient to the major monuments. I would stay here again. One note, the in-hotel breakfast was surprisingly expensive, but good.

Very good value for the money and right in the heart of barrio Santa Cruz in Seville. Accurately depicted as about 300m from the Cathedral and 375m from Alcazar Real not to mention dozens of great restaurants, shops, and other tourist spots within 2-15 minute walk. We used this as home base and went to the Plaza de Espana, Triana, the bull ring etc... […] in addition to the Cathedral and palace. Clean rooms with great working a/c, roomy stand up shower with excellent water pressure and really nice multi-lingual front desk staff helped round out the experience. I will alternate staying here with one other (but significantly pricier) place in the same neighborhood depending on my guest's pocketbook. I was very comfortable here. Only downsides were no direct computer access unless you brought your own (WiFi in the cute central patio area) and challenging to find even w/ my GPS and Europe maps that were "current." I paid a taxi driver to lead me there after trying for about 30 min to maneuver the many one way and super narrow streets. Once there check-in, valet parking for the car and sight seeing were a breeze. Devamı

We were awoken every morning around 8:00 to the sound of loud construction directly above our room. I complained but to no avail. Also, parking is very expensive. We were told parking was 'free' and then charged for our spot. Maybe it got 'lost in translation'. Rooms are nice and guest services are otherwise helpful.

this hotel for the price is a deal. Great location & the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms a very small but large and nice bathroom. The bed comfortable was okay. The location of this hotel make it to where we would stay again.

This hotel is an excellent location right in the middle of everything. The common area is beautiful as well, with a large atrium area (with free Wi-Fi access). Great location. Nice staff. large room. However, we did find a BIG cockroach in the bathtub on the second night.

After a minor headache with the taxi driver not being able to find the hotel (as it is on a pedestrian only street that his GPS would not recognize) our trip to Sevilla was a delight. The hotel was amazing. Beautifully decorated and designed with a very friendly staff. And the location was unbeatable. Unbeatable location right in the heart of the old section of seville. Lobby is clean and beautiful with the pillars and open air style of courtyard with tall cielings. Rooms are pretty typical of seville spain--small, old, a little dirty. Air conditioning worked great which is hard to find in spain.

Older hotel. It has its charm, but I personally like something a little more modern. Location is really convenient to everything. For the price, definitely worth it.

The hotel is ideally located in easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions and the shopping district. The staff were excellent going beyond their duty to ensure our visit was as good as it could be.

Smutsiga korridorer, ingen bar att handla drycker eller kaffe från, man tror att frukost ingår (personalen hänvisar att frukosten är där och där den och den tiden) men den kostar 12,50 ! Euro per person, inte värt det för brända äggröran, inte alls. Svindyrt och dåligt och man vilseleds att tro att frukosten ingår. Hotellet var i meget bedre stand end forventet. Stort værelse (205) mod gaden, men med lukket balkondør var der ingen støj. Badeværelset fint størrelse med meget fint brusehoved. Ligger tæt på alle seværdigheder, men stadig med meget lokalpræg. Morgenmaden var fint udvalg - dog overpriced.

Gunstig beliggenhet for viktige severdigheter i Sevilla. Hotellbygningen generelt synes å være i rimelig god stand, men det rommet vi fikk bar preg av å være fuktskadet, Betjeningen var i møtekommende og behersket engelsk tilfredstillende. Hyggelig hotel.

El hotel es bonito y está en buen estado. Lo mejor de todo es que está muy céntrico ( al lado de la catedral), pero no hay bullicio. Las habitaciones son grandes porque teniamos cama supletoria y no estabamos apretados, pero lo único negativo es que eran oscuras y sólo tenían una ventana que daba a un patio interno pequeñisimo y oscuro. Good service, excellent venue, comfy but not large rooms, very clean, some rooms lacks proper windows, very nice central area. Highly recommended and good price/value ratio

En la habitacion no habia baño, solo ducha y no se nos comento tal posiblidad, o cualquier otra.

ロケーション抜群です。カテドラルやアルカサルに近く、サンタクルス街に隣接。エルコルテイングレスなどがある中心部へも歩いて行けます。「サルバドール広場」といえば、タクシーでも簡単に帰ってこられます。パティオが美しく、無料ネットルーム（PC１台のみ）あり。Wifiは無料でパスワードを教えてもらいましたが最後までつながりませんでした。（外へ出ると、ほかのエリアのWifiがfreeで使えることが多かったので不自由はしませんでしたが・・・） フローリングで廊下も狭いためほかのお部屋の人の足音やドアの音が響きます。私も夜遊びしまくっていたのできっと迷惑かけたと思いますが。。。決して安くはない方だと思いますので、お値段に相応した良いホテルだと思います。

Svårt att hitta och vi fick fråga oss fram. Inte ens taxiförare visste. Väl framme, fantastiskt läge inbäddad mellan olika mysiga torg och nära katedralen. Läget var helt klart det bästa med hotellet. Rummen rena och stora, dock lite mörka och man fick lite "bunkerkänsla". Fördelen - tyst och svalt, nackdelen - lite instängt. Bra personal som hjälpte […] till med det mesta, dock ingen där när vi skulle åka hem tidigt trots att de lovat att hjälpa oss med taxi och trots att de ska ha 24h service. Personnel accueillant et compétant, multi-langues. Très bien situé dans Séville, idéalement placé pour visiter la ville à pieds. Chambres très bien équipées. Hôtel à recommander.

Het hotel is oké, maar van klantvriendelijkheid hebben de receptionistes schijnbaar nooit gehoord.

Das Hotel liegt direkt in der City, die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber und mit allem Nötigem ausgestattet. Hotal macht insgesammt einen sehr guten und gepflegten Eindruck.
