My fiance and myself stayed for long weekend. Overall we were pleased about the place but couple of issues was not up to our satisfaction. The postcode which sent it to us on our booking took us nearby village! Not exactly to place. The room we requested at booking was double bed but when we arrived to room there was one double and one single bed! And there was no much space left at the room! The room was smelling humidity heavily and the central heating was not working. Luckily we got small radiator from very helpful In-charge lady. Another surprising thing was on sunday morning we woke up with fire alarm which was strongly sounding at whole mansion around 8.30am! So we ran out the building with all other guests and stayed for 10mins. It wasn`t really pleasant to wake up on sunday morning. By the way, the mansion is perfect location for quiet, peaceful weekend. Outdoor jacuzzi at garden and walking distance forest make more attractive also. The food served at breakfast was quiet tasty and many options. We recommend to everyone.

We were as a group of 13 people and really enjoyed staying here. Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

"Warm Welcome"
Having read the reviews prior to our visit I was pleased to find the staff were as friendly and helpful as reported. The Hotel was of a decent standard and comfortable. Although we didn't do breakfast we found the food served in the evenings of a good choice and value for money. Only downside, I found the room was poorly lit.
"Comfortable, Quiet and Clean"
This hotel was fantastic! The modern clean and comfortable room was maintained fantastically throughout the stay. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even when we needed the use of a printer they were more than happy to let us use theirs. the floorboards are a little creaky, as stated in other reviews, but it never seemed to bother anyone […] and I couldn't hear anyone else moving around the hotel. The hotel is so close to a bus stop which has a very hand bus ever 10 minutes which goes to and from the city centre for a very low cost, I really would recomend it as opposed to driving. Devamı

"Edinburgh Capital Hotel"
I have stayed at this hotel when working in Edinburgh on a few occasions now. Every time I've stayed there I've noted what good value it is, particularly in terms of the size and quality of room I've had for the price and the free wi-fi in my room. My most recent stay was no exception to this general rule but, unfortunately, was marred by an incident […] on my last night there. It turned out that the hotel were holding a function in adjacent premises and had a disco hired for the event. I only became painfully aware of this fact when, having retired to my room for the night, on the highest floor of the hotel, I suddenly began to hear quite loud music coming up from the function on the ground floor. It was around 10.30pm and I tried on 2 occasions to call down to reception to find out what was happening. Alas, nobody answered the phone. Therefore, I went down to reception myself and found not only a receptionist there, but also someone whom I presumed to be a duty manager. He was dressed in evening-dress for the function. When I asked how long this function might last, he replied 1am. This was not good news to me, since I had to be to deliver a training course the following day and needed to get to sleep without any interference. The hotel staff eventually found me an alternative room. It was well positioned at the back of the hotel and I couldn't hear the noise at all. However, it was a significantly lower quality room. Indeed, I believe that the only reason it wasn't already occupied was due to the fact that both the door lock and bolt were out of operation and the bathroom also left a lot to be desired. As, I say, I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions now and have always enjoyed my time there. I would certainly still recommend it to others as representing very good value. However, I was more than surprised to discover that the hotel had scheduled a christmas function involving loud music without informing the guests in any way and, seemingly, simply Devamı

"Edinburgh Best Western"
Really good stay with a lovely clean & comfortable room. Breakfast was very good. Pool area with sauna & steam room added bonus. Only quibble is the location. Pretty far from the centre although there is a good bus service nearby. Would possibly stay again & would be happy to recommend.
Floor boards very sqeacky and shower curtain did not do the job. Staff on the reception were not the friendliest of folk but the hotel room was very nice as was the leisure facilities.

Excellent stay except for the wooden floor under carpet which makes noise when people walk in the hallway or above the floor.

"IDTA visit scotland"
The hotel was lovely and clean etc but this was my first visit to scotland and I found staff really helpful. I was taking a lecture with I.D.T.A to the scottish dance teachers and the hotel let us use their space for 4hrs to practice a nd rehearse. Thank you for all your help x

"Stressful"
Facilities brilliant but I have never come across the situation were you have to put a deposit down against your room no. before you can charge to your room. We were travelling Scotland on our Harley Davidson and after a particular rain swept journey the last thing we needed was to be told at the bar that we could not charge to our room because we did […] not have any credit-WHAT? Best Western Edinburgh Capital The hotel is very conveniently located, it is easy to get to from the motorway, and there is also a very regular bus service to the city centre. It is situated in a nice, quiet residential area, next to a park, and it is possible to do some walks in the evenings if one is up to this. The hotel can get very busy with events, […] we had two weddings taking place one after the other, but were not disturbed much by the noise. The room is nice and functional, I could even do some work online through the WiFi. We chose the hotel as we wanted a location outside the town centre, close to the airport and with pool/sauna/training facilities. Everything we needed, including the price, were excellent. "ROOMS TO WARM"

"Nice hotel for a good price"
We stayed here for three nights. It's on the same side of the city as the airport so a taxi there was only a tenner. Check in was straight forward. The rooms are nice and clean and look recently modernised (the stairwell carpets are showing their age but the rooms looked much newer). Bed was really big but a bit too soft. Bathroom non descript- only […] handwash and bodywash provided. We didn't eat there so can't comment on food. Only problems were that housekeeping came ridously early (at 7.30) so make sure you put the do not disturb sign on the door the night before! And on our second night, there was an event going on in the conference suite and despite being on the third floor, the music kept us awake until 1am. (I hate to think what it was like on the first floor) When we asked reception if there were any events the next night that might keep us awake, she expressed a certain doubt that we could hear music on the third floor. I pointed out it was coming up the fire escape stairwell. There is a local bus which will take you to the city's Prince's Street but it takes about half an hour as it goes through all the estates. Taxi ride is about fifteen minutes. There is a little row of shops about half a miles walk away (but very steep hill on way back so don't do in a hurry!) with a Sainsbury, Boots etc Devamı

I had an excellent experience at the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and most importantly quiet. While some people complain about the hotel being too far from the city centre, the bus is just around the corner. And a day pass takes you everywhere in the city. Very nice pool and sauna. The gym however was a little too small for my taste. […] But everything else was great: the restaurant/room service, the nature park directly across the street, the bed, the hotel staff. The hotel on the whole was good, however on the second night of our stay the management did not bother to inform residents of a party taking place in the conference room to which we were staying above. The party continued with VERY loud music until 1am. But we did not sleep until nearly 2am due to guests talking loudly whilst dispersing. Upon checkout […] I asked the duty manager why we were not informed as a matter of courtesy about the party, all he did was apologise once (not really bothered) not a very customer focused response. I would not recommend this hotel to those looking for a nice break to relax, especially since management does not care when there is a problem. Devamı

"best western edinburgh"
we stayed here for 2 nights it was a great experience, will be back for sure. Breakfast was great, could of been more choice for eveing meals, we went else where for eveing meals. great for parking and felt safe leaving the car. my daughter who is 3 loved staying here aswell. overall it was a great experience, would highly recommend to any of my family […] and friends visiting edinburgh. Booked through Hotels .com and got a very good price-room only. The hotel was of a very good standard in all respects apart from the breakfast -which was typical large hotel fare with metal containers containing previously cooked mushrooms (watery) fried eggs(solid) etc. the bacon and sausage were ok. The tea and coffee was in flasks and both were unpleasant […] and luke warm . Even the 'hot' water for using with a tea bag was less than hot. "Clean, friendly, nice but hard to find"
Super friendly staff- assisted us by recommending the buses in lieu of parking downtown. Clean large room, great for a family of 5. Location was difficult to find though and restaurant staff slow and not very attentive. LOVED the hotel and front office staff couldnt be beat. Cleaning staff also super friendly and hard working.

The hotel although situated away from the city centre has a regular bus service into the city centre. The area where it is situated is nice and quiet. The swimming pool and other facilities on site are very good. Ideal for any occasion .

We stayed in a Family Room, and it was large and comfortable, easily accomodating 2 adults and 2 children. The bunk beds worked great for our kids. Plenty of room for the kids to play while we were getting ready, and the room is on the corner of the building so we didn't have to worry about bothering neighbors. There is free parking, but most of it […] is around the back of the building, requiring a walk around outside to get back into the building. The pool and fitness center is the most extensive of any hotel that I've stayed in. We found the hotel to be in a good location for access to activities in Edinburgh. Devamı

I stayed in this hotel following a conference & was pleasantly surprised by it. We had a night out in the city centre & it cost only £10 to get a taxi so although it's a little out of the main hub it's not too far. "Great hotel - not a great location"
The hotel itself was fine, the bed was deeply uncomfortable but the staff were fantastic (really, really fantastic - we got caught by airport closures in the snow and they bent over backwards to help us). "Not on par to a U.S. Best Western."
This hotel is comparable to a Motel 6. The mattress was very squeeky and uncomfortable. Hotel staff was quite friendly.
