The Fairmont Acapulco Princess - Acapulco

The hotel is wonderful. They give you very little detail on the hotel when you check in and if you only speak english it's not helpful. The services is excellence. The charge for internet is overly expensive and should be included in the price of the room.

Our family regularly stays at the Princess. It is one of the nicest hotels we know - pool & garden area are unbeatable - there is always something to do - food/buffet is fantastic - great for kids Hope to be back soon

While my stay I witness an event that showed very poor security. A Brazilian family was staying at the hotel and their two adolescent daughters went to the bathroom by the lobby. Next thing a guy had entered the women bathroom and scared the two girls. When the parents went to complain about the incident the hotel security people told the Brazilian […] parents that they could not do anything since the guy was a guest at the hotel. Nice Hotel, though it needs maintenance. Shades in the room let the sun come in....it's time for "block outs". Change of pillows would make a great comfortable bed! Tavolo restaurant is delicious! and 2 thumbs up for the breakfast buffet!

Beautiful Hotel! Lovely place to relax and enjoy. The only bad things: food (terrible food, very expensive and incredible small portions)...if you don't like good food, this is the right place for you(if you are in a diet for example...you will love not to eat...and drink...3dolars each half liter of water...). Excellent hotel, very good service, outstanding view of the ocean from the room, comfortable room, good restaurants and good food. Large gardens and several swiming pools.

The fairmont princess is in the more prestigest area of acapulco. the hotel itself was just like any american hotel. It is very safe with security right on the beach. The beach is nice to look at but too rough for swimming. and a 10-25 min. taxi ride to the more swimable beaches. We did not get the room with ocean view, but only partial ocean view. We were harassed at the palapas from the hotel on the beach because we had "color clothes" What does that mean? Should we use only black and white on the beach? We were not allowed to bring some refreshments to our room, even when we explained that they were for the trip on the car […] next day, and they did not offer to keep them for us. Hotel is great but need to improve in a couple of things like price for food that seemed awfully high (buffet) and do something to get their beach umbrellas closer to the sea as where they are located today are too far to watch little kids in family. THIS HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL AND IS BEING UPDATED, WE STAYED IN THE "PERLA" TOWER WHICH WAS RECENTLY RENOVATED AND I HIGHLY RECOMMNED THIS TOWER. THE HOTEL STAFF IS VERY WILLING TO MAKE YOUR STAY A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. THE RESTAURANTS ARE PRICEY BUT THERE IS A SMALL FRIDGE IN THE ROOM FOR WATER,YOGURT, ETC., THE POOLS WITH WATERFALLS ARE A SIGHT......STANDING […] UNDER THE FALLS IS HIGHLY RECOMENDED FOR A QUICK MASSAGE. THE BEACH IS VERY PROTECTED WITH ARMED GUARDS STANDING POST THE ENTIRE DAY. THERE ARE MASSAGE THERAPIST ON THE BEACH AND THE SCENTS AND SOUNDS OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN ARE FREE. LOVED IT.......... Beautiful Hotel with all amenities and Golf course close by. A little old but still a great building with a first class service, very good food and spectacular beach. After 40 years Acapulco Princess Hotel is still a landmark in Acapulco and really worth to stay. Just beautiful and the staff was outstanding. Two days after check-in a staff member I later remembered had greeted us at the cab when we arrived saw us walking through the lobby and greeted me by name. Asked how we liked our stay so far. He was thrilled that we were having a great time. Remembering me and my name after a couple days was very impressive. […] We would return in a heartbeat. One thing to keep in mind is to ask for the breakfast and dinner meal plan. One fixed price for anything you like from the menu. Like a cruise, drinks and gratuity are extra. Also the renovated rooms in the Pearla building are beautiful and worth little more. For this kind of quality we thought our Hotels.com deal was very reasonable. Devamı

This hotel is starting to show it's age. Rooms need updating but are kept clean and beds are comfortable. Beach is fabulous as are pools and kids club. Food is expensive but most resorts are that way.

We selected the Princess for a 2-night stay prior to a 10-day stay with family in the main part of Acapulco. At the price we paid for the room, I have no complaints, but those who expect a Fairmont quality property will be disappointed. The good news is: super service, lovely pool area, nice beach. The hotel's facility is acceptable, but there are lots […] of signs of deferred maintenance. Those who select it for the room price should be aware that bar and restaurant prices are extremely high, and options outside the hotel are extremely limited. The only way to eat at reasonable cost in the hotel is to use the snack bar, where menu choices are quite limited; a so-so dinner buffet is $40 and the fine dining restaurant prices are even worse. Breakfast buffet runs about $30, and I was not convinced things were being kept hot enough. So again I would opt for the less expensive snack bar where you can watch things being prepared. Having said all of this, I don't know that there is a better hotel experience to be had in Acapulco. We wouldn't go there at all if not for the family connection. Puerto Vallarta is a much better overall experience. Devamı

She is not a princess, she is the Grande Dame of Acapulco. If you love an open ocean view, long beach, & the sound of waves crasing on the shore...then this hotel is for you. The staff is very friendly & attentive. They can all speak English, & are very skilled at what they do. We have loved the Princess for years & will return. Fairmont Princess has 4 beauttifull swiming pools, 2 of wich are new, and beautiful gardens with birds such as "guacamayas", flamingos, swans, etc. My room was located at the "Princess Tower", OK but felt kind of old, the bathroom was remodeled, but the room still needs to be updated some more. Great beds and pillows, so you get a good night sleep. […] Great towels and bath products. Old TV and hairdryer. Free coffee and tea daily. The room is fine and has a great view, but I recomend to stay at the new "Pearl Tower" wich is supposed to have beautiful rooms. The spa is simply beautiful, great massage, and had a 10% discount because I enrolled the "Fairmont Presidents Club", wich also allows you free access to the gym, free internet, free bottled water daily, some kind of "upgrade" on the beach towels, free newspaper daily, free coctails, etc. If you are goingo to stay at any Fairmont, you should join the Presidents Club first on their website. Food is OK but way too expensive. Realy expensive. They have a coffee shop with much decent prices, and great coffee. Went to the lunch buffett once and didn´t like it. Room service is actually very very good, ordered salmon and it arrived hot, and they arrange your table so you feel you are actually eating at a restaurant. You should try "Tabachin Restaurant" located at the Fairmont Pierre Marques, free transportation every 10 min. Also try mexican food at the Beach Club, very good. Everybody is very nice and friendly and will help you in anything you need. Devamı

Beautiful hotel, good beach, much better than the one where all the hotel chains are at. Excellent restaurants and service, but pricey. Even though this hotel is not in the most popular beach, the beach is still very crowded and there are all sorts of vendors. The local people on the beach offer horseback riding, ATV's and jet skis, and there are a […] lot of them and I was worried someone was going to run over my kids both on the sand and in the water. Muchos se quejan que los cuartos estan viejos pero que pueden pedir por el precio, el hotel esta excelente y uno obtiene lo que paga, si quieren una habitacion excelente quedense en la torre perla, las areas comunes estan magnificas como siempre.

Hotel bien, si lo solicitas con desayuno incluido comeras en abundancia, ubicado en Puerto Escondido no en Acapulco, a 25 min. de las atracciones de Acapulco. a 25 minutos de barra vieja donde se come muy bien.

Un buen hotel y bien situado, aunque me parece que le falta un poco de mantenimiento.

Muy bonito, muchas piscinas, buena comida, buenas canchas de tenis pero: 1. Recibimos la habitacion sucia. 2. No reponen shampoo, toallas completas, etc. 3. No hay actividades. 4. El internet es pago incluso en el lobby. 5. El estacionamiento es pago. 6. Insuficientes toldos y sillas en la playa. (o pagas por toldos o haces fila desde antes de las […] 7am para reservar uno) 7. En la piscina fui a pedir toallas un par de minutos antes de que cierren y me dicen "si no las regresas antes de cerrar te las cobramos" 8. Hubo filas para comer de hasta 30 minutos. 9. Toallas rotas y manchadas. Es una pena un hotel tan bonito, con tan buenas instalaciones, en una playa tan hermosa para ir a hacer mas de 1 hora diaria de filas. Devamı

Las habitaciones remodeladas estan muy bonitas, la calidad de los alimentos es muy buena. Muy recomendable para familias con niños!

Requiere una renovación, se ve que desde la década de los 80 no ha habido un reacondicionamiento. De pésimo gusto que cobren $125.00 diarios por el estacionamiento. Muy lento el Check- Inn. Por la zona en la que esta se requiere de auto para salir y entrar y el Valet Parking tarda 20 minutos.

Lo disfrute mucho. Especialmente la atencion, del capitan en el bar, Jose muy amable. Gracias

No me agradó la politica de estacionamiento del hotel ya que no le permiten al huesped estacionar su propio vehículo y llevarse sus llaves, y presionan a que hay que dar constantes propinas para poder acceder al vehículo propio,además de que no se hacen responsables del vehículo ni de los objetos. Adicional a lo anterior se cobra un cargo extra por […] uso de estacionamiento bastante significativo , situación que no mencionan en los servicios de su publicidad. Poco personal y en especial mal servicio en recepción donde solo una persona que atendía y no era nada atenta. I do not agree with the parking policy, they apply an excessive charge per day , that was not adviced in the hotel information, just for use the parking of the hotel, and also, is compulsory to deliver your car to valet parkings, who do not take responsability for dameges or steal partial or compleate. Resago en tecnología, internet alambrico, ademas de que la moyoria de hoteles ya incluyen este servicio sin costo.

reservamos habitacion con vista al mar , pagamos un sobreprecio para mejora de habitacion y por sobrecupo nos entregaron una habitacion standar y la vista al mar fue nula. al comentarlo la unica respuesta era que habia sobrecupo y no tenian disponibilidad de otras habitaciones
