The staff was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was included, and had quite a varied array of food. The location cannot be beat; in the centre of the old section of Oslo, bus to the airport stops around the corner. The rooms were quite quiet for the location. No toiletries, and the hairdryer over heated quickly.

Old room; it was too warm (bad airing?). Modest, but OK (standard) breakfast. The hotel has a nice old atmosphere and is close to most of the landmarks.

Hotel is ideal if you wnat to get close to all the sights and have good expensive restaurants close by. Overall a very European feel but way too expensive for what one gets. We also had numerous problems with TV. Could net get normal channels in english and all adult channels were not blocked. Quite a surprise for a family suite. The girl at reception […] tried to change room but other family suite had same problem. Apparently TV is outsourced and not centrally controlled. Definitely not under control and not keen to assist tourist with kids whom want to watch TV. Devamı

We stayed for 4 nights. When we checked in ,, our room black out 5 times... The circuit breaker keeps tripping.. They didn't gave any other room to change fir us.. The heater don't seem to function. But generally , we can live with that and it was a nice stay.

My brother and I had a great stay at the Best Western Karl Johan hotel - we went for two single rooms, which were very reasonably priced, and they put us next door to each other, which was a nice touch. The rooms were a good size for singles, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet […] was very nice. The hotel is incredibly well-located - right in the centre of the main street through Oslo, walking distance to almost everything you'd need to see as a tourist, and very near a T station for the few sights that are further afield. It's also 10-15 minutes walk from the bus terminal and central station, which is super-handy as that's where most airpot transfers arrive. If you are going over a weekend, be aware that there will be some noise from the street outside late at night, as it seems Oslo likes to party on a Friday and Saturday night! Ear plugs would be recommended if you're a light sleeper, but there is very little street noise on all other nights of the week. Devamı

The rates are cheaper than other hotels, the room was a little cramped, the bed was a little hard, but breakfast had a nice variety. We could not hear anyone in the rooms next door- but the door to the hallway let in whatever noise was present at whatever hour. The hotel is smack-dab right in the center of where a tourist would want to go with all […] of the sites easily accessible including the train station which is only a few 100 meters away (walking distance, straight up the road). The staff at the Karl Johan was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, and the location was great. The room was small but when it comes right doan to it, I didn't need any more space than the room provided. It worked out great.

Excellent central location, friendly staff, nice breakfast (make your own waffles!) TV in room. Unfortunately loud street noise. Recommended.

the hotel is centrally located at Karl Johans Gate which is the main shopping and cafe area. It is in walking distance from central train station or bus terminal. the breakfast at the hotel is quite good and overall the stay at the hotel was pleasant. I have mixed reviews for this hotel. First off - the location is PERFECT. Smack in the center of Oslo's busiest area, close bus and tram stops, not far from main bus/train terminal, close to ferry, near national gallery and theater...I could go on. The downside is that with the great location comes a lot of noise. There is a TGI Fridays and Hard Rock […] hotel and when the summer sun stays bright, people hang out drinking all night....lots of noise!!!! The hotel itself is 3 star and is true to being 3 star. Great location, cant get any central than this. The tram station is only a few minutes away and the tourist attractions and all the major stores are within walking distance (Aker Brygge, the stortinget , Hard Rock cafe, National Theatre). Great decorations for the hotel interior which is not reflected on your room. The room is very basic, no kettle […] for hot water; had to go downstairs for coffee. However, it is very noisy at nights due to its close proximity to nightclubs and bars. Overall, happy with the stay and the location. Devamı

1. Good Location, close to sight seeing attractions 2. Walking distance to the ferry terminal-20 mins with luggage. 3. Friendly staff. Allow us to check in earlier as we arrive 10 am 4. Internet service is high, apply from the front desk. The card last for 24 hrs (just for 1 time). Not able to accumulate the time when ur not using the internet […] so it's kind of waste. 5. Coffee & tea is available at the lobby, not convenient 6. Hv hairdryer in the room 7. There is no A/C in the room. Quite hot at nite as we travel in July 8. The hotel had a very good location - close to the Train Central Station and most sightseeings. The staff is friendly and supportive. However, the rooms are not noise protected, the rooms in basement are very damp. Breakfast is very frugal. The wi-fi internet is not accessable in rooms.

Internett tjenester som dere skulle levere virket ikke. Det er ok med feil, men resepsjon jorde lite å ingen ting for å hjelpe oss med dette.

Jeg synes det burde vært vannkokoer med pulverkaffe og te på rommet. Det er det på svært mange andre hoteller. Den første dagen manglet det også plastbeger på badet. Ellers er vi godt fornøyd med opphold og frokost.

Dette var mitt andre opphold på dette hotellet. Sist var eg med hele familien, da var vi litt heldigere med utsikt utover Karl Johan. Denne gang fikk eg det innerste rommet i etasjen hvor spisesalen er. Eneste eg sleit litt med der var internett tilgangen, gikk litt av og på med dekning, det har kanskje med beliggenheten å gjøre, så at det var en router […] lenger borte, men kanskje for langt. Frokosten var veldig bra, servicen i resepsjonen når eg spurte etter hjelp var veldig bra (spurte etter taxi holdeplass og hun tilbød heller å skaffe en). Fornøyd med både priser, service og komfort. Vi bestilte et handikap rom og fikk forsåvidt et rom man kunne bruke manuell rullestol i. Det var derimot umulig å komme ned ved egen hjelp til frokostrommet i 4 etasje. Her måtte vi bære rullestolen ned 8 trapptrinn i en sving. Meget overraskende dårlig og ikke opplyse om dette når vi ringte hotellet i forkant og fortalte vi hadde med en rullestolbruker. […] også mye støy om kvelden/natten fra pubene under. Devamı

Hotel liegt sehr zentral am Karl Johans gate bzw. Spikersuppa Platz vor dem Königspalast Norwegens. Hafen, Königspalat, Bahnhof, etc. im Umkreis von 10 Gehminuten erreichbar. Zimmer sauber. In unserem Zimmer hat es aus dem Ablauf des Lavabos oder Dusche nach Kanalisation gestunken, nicht sehr angenehm. In anderen Zimmern (Reisegruppe mit 3 Zimmern) […] war dies nicht der Fall. Komfortabelt, bra pris, hyggelig service og absolutt midt i smørøyet i Oslo. Veldig fornøyd med den delen av påska jeg tilbrakte på dette hotellet.

Hotel Karl Johan er etter hvert blitt mitt hotell når jeg er i Oslo. Beliggenhet mitt i blinken for meg. Prismessig akseptabelt mitt i paradegaten. Har prøvd andre hoteller i Oslo også, men vender alltid tilbake til Best Western Hotel Karl Johan.

Supersentralt hotel med hyggelig Personale. God frokost og trådløst Internett. Rommene var slitte og gamle, støy fra nattelivet forstyrret veldig siden det var veldig lytt med gamle vinduer. Velger nok et annet hotell neste gang. Lise

Flott hotell med enda bedre beliggenhet-midt i Karl Johan gata,litt støy men de flotte rommene og hyggelig personal motveier det meste.Jentene som vasker hadde gjort en fantastisk jobb med renholden av rommet.

Hotellet har en bra kvalitet, hyggelig rom, ok. frokost, rent og pent. Anbefales.

God beliggenhet er det eneste som trekker opp, men det er flust av andre hoteller i nærheten. Det er IKKE verdt å spare noen få hundrelapper for å bo her i stedet for alternativene. Enkeltrommet er et av de minste jeg har opplevd å bo på. Videre var det en stygg lukt på rommet, og særlig på badet. Ventilasjonssystemet var elendig og nesten dødt. Med […] vindu mot Karl Johan er det svært vanskelig å få sove. Vinduet er meget dårlig isolert. Minibar fungerte ikke, alt var med andre ord varmt, så ikke belag deg på å avkjøle noe. Alt av møbler, inkludert seng og pute var av en elendig standard. Det finnes garantert fengsler i Afrika med dårligere madrass enn her. Kommer aldri tilbake hit! Devamı

Velkomsten, vi oppgir referansenr og etternavn og får beskjed om att vi ikke står. Etter mye om å men hisser vi oss opp og de finner oss alikevel. Uten å beklage. mens det er kø i resepsjonen når vi skal spørre om veien, står hun ene liksågreit å drikker brus bak i resepsjonen... Da vi skal sjekke ut blir vi spurt om romnr og vi svarer. Er du sikker […] på det? spør hun. Siden vi står der med nøkkelkortene i nøkkelkortmappen hvor det står, er vi relativt sikkre.. Da hun endelig har funnet oss og sjekket oss ut må vi løpe for å nå toget.. Dessuten var det veldig mye leven utenfra lørdagskvelden. Devamı

Hotellet lever op til at være et 3-stjernet hotel med en meget fin beliggenhed i det centrale Oslo. En god morgenbuffet med rigeligt udvalg. Det eneste minus var, at værelset lugtede af, at tidligere gæster ikke havde overholdt rygeforbuddet.
