We were just passing through on our way home to Alberta so unfortunately, did not get to experience the area. The hotel was lovely---very clean. the staff was excellent, and when we asked, there was an oceanview room available. Wish we could have stayed longer

Best Western has the softest towels, which are greatly appreciated on a road trip. Not scratchy like most hotels. Great location, was able to walk along Humboldt Bay, which is really close to the hotel. Enjoyed our visit.

Hotel is well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Close to restaurants. The breakfast was below standard with no room to sit when we got there.

I have stayed at the Best Western Plus Bay Shore Inn three times now. Each time the experience has been very satisfying. I am a stickler for cleanliness in a hotel room and bathroom, and this establishment meets my high standards. The only thing that I do not care for is the breakfast. It's satisfactory, but not scratch made, which is difficult to find […] in any hotel/motel situation. But there are alternatives close by for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. The hotel was noisy and in a bad neighborhood with not alot to walk to. The mall is full of closed up stores but there is a new bar b q restaurant adjacent. The staff was great but room was a bit dirty.

Great Motel room, very clean, very comfy bed, and friendly staff. Very noisy in the morning due to cleaning carts. Don't plan on sleeping in & they even warn you about it!

Very convinient to find when coming in from the south along 101. Excellent friendly staff. Facility was in excellent shape. Morning buffett included in tariff was very nice to have before hitting the road. Excellent value. Definitely would stay on a return visit.

This place was top notch in every respect -- a great value. The breakfast was good, room and other facilities very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Can't say too many good things about the neighborhood -- there seemed to be a lot of homeless-type people loitering in the area.It was hard to walk in the neighborhood without getting hit up […] for a handout. The room and the rate were terrific. The mall next door and the steakhouse out the back were a real asset to us. Highly recommend hotel to all who visit this area. And Thank you!

I have never stayed at a best western before until this trip. I felt that it was a great place to stay. Rooms and the grounds were very clean, and the staff was always helpful to your needs. I will definitely stay there again every year when I visit my daughter who's attending the College of the Redwoods. Most of my trips I tend to stay at Holiday Inn […] Express, but if the price is the same I believe I will now stay at Best Westerns. I would highly recommend others to stay there as well. Hotel was easy to find and convenient for the areas we were there to see. Quality of service from staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. We only had an issue with remote for TV. Had to exchange it out and that one seemed to be on a delay. Other than that, I would come back to hotel in a heartbeat.

The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable. The service was good. But our room was noisy starting at 7 am. The janitor was whistling, the hallway doors kept slamming shut. The maid service was talking loudly in front of our door. So much for sleeping in on our vacation day. Also, it advertises fireplaces in some of the rooms, the fire place […] not only is electric, but puts off no heat. Defeats the purpose of a fireplace completely. AND, the drain to our jacuzzi tub wouldn't stay closed. We had to keep the water running the whole time we were trying to relax. Not a horrible stay.. But wouldn't stay there again for the price I paid. Devamı

A litttle too much street noise. Depressing neighborhood. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was ample. great to have a fridge.

It was just a quick in-and-out but we were welcomed to a lovely room and a comfortable bed. Loved that there was a Marie Callendar's in the same parking lot as we arrived late and needed a quick bite for dinner.

I like chain hotels because you always know what to expect and we weren't disappointed. I hadn't stayed in a BW for 20 years and its just as nice as always. Bravo guys on keeping an affordable and comfortable hotel chain! I'd stay again anytime.

This is a very well managed hotel and people are nice. Convinient location and next to a super market. However, the streets are a little noisy at night. Overall, I would stay here again in the future.

Not the safest location. The carpet was filthy, so make sure to wear shoes all the time. We were not allowed to see the coy pond since we have children. I should've just stayed at the Hilton in McKinleyville.

We booked this hotel so we could see the Redwoods and be out of the city. "The Avenue of The Giants" was close to the south and we kayaked the Trinity River to the north. There was a rental place called "Big Foot" in a small town to the north. We stayed with our 4 children in their 20s and had good service and comfort. We were lucky enough to stay in […] the new portion that included a hot tub. The weather was cool enough that we enjoyed that in the evenings. The breakfast was nice with some variety every morning. We appreciated the continental breakfast that was in the section of the hotel we stayed in for our early morning coffee. The manager and help were all friendly and it felt very safe. Walked to a grocery store, a steak house, Humboldt Bay and a mall that included a Kohl's, Sears and Walmart. Devamı

Found it to be comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful especially when I was trying to locate a lost presonal item. Greta for an overnight stay.

We stayed here last weekend when my stepdaughter graduated college from Humboldt State. It is about 20 minutes away from HSU, but it is a quick and easy drive. The area surrounding the hotel isn't all that great, but I think that's just how all of Eureka is! The hotel staff were all very nice and polite and helpful. Our room was also very nice and clean […] and well maintained. No problems at all. We got a room that had an attached bedroom (no extra bathroom tho) and it was perfect for what we needed. I used the exercise room and it was adequate and met my needs. We enjoyed the fresh-baked cookies that were there at checkin. We also had the free breakfast and it was filling -- bagels, toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausages, etc. And I used the free internet in the room with no problems. My kids swam in the indoor/outdoor pool (creative concept) and enjoyed the jacuzzi. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Eureka or needing to be near kids at HSU.
