Candlewood Suites LAX Hawthorne - Hawthorne

Everything is great! The only drawback is that the only smoking area is about 2 yards from the BBQ and eating area. But when we sat down the smokers finished their cigarettes and left so it ended up ok for us, but really bad design

I had difficulty finding a one-bedroom suite near LAX and this hotel fit the bill.

We were very impressed with the comfortable, clean and spacious room. However, we were travelling with 2 very small dogs and I was shocked to hear the desk clerk request $75 for each dog! After staying in a number of hotels where the rate was between $10 and $20 for pets it was a surprise.The total for the dogs was way more than the cost of the room. […] The price was then reduced to a flat $75. Again; I will say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life of traveling.

Very clean hotel. Neighborhood a little sketchy

Ant infestation under the sink and bathroom. The bed was located against the wall so to get out, required climbing over my wife. No ice machine in the hotel only in the frig - which took several hours. I wouldn't go back if you paid me

Seriously, this is a pretty decent hotel. If you need more than a nights stay then this is really quite a nice place. I was only here for one night but upon entering the room I was more than pleasantly surprised; would say here again...

I WISH THE STAFF WOULD HAVE A LOST AND FOUND BOX. MY WIFE LEFT HER PRESCRIPTION GLASSES(I PAID OVER $400. CASH, WE DONT HAVE INSURANCE) IN THE ROOM ICALLED THE NEXT DAY BUT NO ONE RETURNED THEM! VERY DISAPOINTED!! THATS A LOT OF MONEY FOR ME TO REPLACE GLASSES!!!

I saw a review saying it was in a bad part of town. Honestly, the city is fine and a quick drive down Hawthorne leads you into Hermosa and Manhattan beach, which are very nice little beach towns. The rooms are great and have a new, nice feeling to them. The hotel is located next to a major freeway, so transportation is fine. Overall, it was an enjoyable […] stay. OH! Secure parking, as well. overall Inn condition is fine. Room clean service is once a week! so we have to exchange the towels at the front desk....It is not so comfortable. Also the neighborhood...it is not so great!

I was charged twice for the same room which wasn't worth the amount I spent.

Wonderful place. My only recommendation is to lower the beds in handicapped room to wheelchair height.

This hotel is only a year old and is very clean and well maintained. Free laundry facilities were a real plus. It is fairly close to LAX. Nice to have kitchen. Locked garage is another plus as neighborhood, while not horrible, is a bit "borderline".

The room had no chemical or smoke smells, and the kitchen was really nice. The negative of this place was the neighborhood. It had check cashing places near it, nuff said. OK during day, but I would be nervous walking around there at night

I don't know how they got good reviews but we weren't very happy with their service. We booked a room at this hotel online a day before. When we checked in ON TIME they said the room is not ready so they made us wait for 20 minutes. We have 2 young children with us and we all were tired from the long drive but we couldn't get comfortable because the […] room was still not ready. The front desk employees didn't seem to care for their guests either. It would be nice if they came to us and apologized for the incovenience they caused. Say sorry is better to show that they care about their customer than say nothing. Other than that, the room is okay and neat, has everything you need, although the carpet looks old and seemed like it's never deep vacuum cleaned. The neighbor surround the hotel is kinda rough although there's McDonald restaurant right across the street. I personally don't want to go back to this hotel as I can stay at better hotel with the same price their charged us. Devamı

Great hotel and is about 1 1/2 yrs old. I had read a previous comment about someone being shot in the area and same thing, not someone hurt but definitely heard about 4 gunshots during the night, not real close to the hotel. Would recommend a nights stay.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time last week. What a great place for a really good price. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location is as can be expected for this area of LA, with decent food within waling distance. Secured parking garage for the 3 hotels in the facility. Staff was awesome. Convenient with a free shuttle, good secure parking and clean hotel. Didn't have a free breakfast that I noticed but had cooking facilities in the rooms.

It was a nice surprize. We were absolutely pleased with our room. Very comfortable. The kitchenette is a big plus. We'll defenitely stay there again.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Candlewood. The hotel is basic, but always clean and new. In fact, since this particular Candlewood was built in January 2010, it is very new. This is excellent for the traveler that is frequently on the road or doesn't want to eat out at every meal as there is a kitchenette. Personally, I travel a lot for business, […] so I love being able to save money and eat healthier by eating in my hotel room. I frequently stay at various Candlewood hotels. The only issue I had was with the laundry. One of two washers were broke when I walked in, and then the other broke. Apparently, the problem is being fixed, but until then, don't count on doing laundry. I was able to go across the street to the Holiday Inn, which they also own, but it was pretty annoying. Otherwise, there is ample parking, and a grocery store within walking (and certainly driving) distance. The staff was very nice as well. Devamı

I loved the hotel, loved the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room. There are a couple restaurants in the area. Busy intersection though. The hotel is in a somewhat a hood area but still not bad at all. There were shuttles to the airport.

This hotel is too far from downtown LA and middle of quite rough area. The staff were not that helpful as well. We have been travelling from east to west coast and we stayed in many other Candlewood Suites around the country. This one is probably the worst! for the same rate suggest you stay better place.

I will return again

The hotel itself was great but the neighborhood is scary! While outside at our car about 4pm in the afternoon, a man shot at another man! Maybe it isn't the safest neighborhood.

I stay in the LAX area alot and this is by far the best motel / suite I've stayed at. even better than higher priced motels in the LAX area. Top notch

I was very impressed with this hotel although I was disappointed that there was no swimming pool... The staff was very helpful especially the lady who worked the graveyard shift.. She was very nice and very helpful.. anything I needed she accomodated me without any attitude.. so nice! The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I liked […] everything about this place... we stayed for 8 days and having a full kitchen really kept us from spending alot of money on eating out. right where the Cockatoo Hotel used to be is the Candlewood Suites hotel. Very nice property, great staff, great rooms for those who need the full kitchen set up. Everything was neat and clean. Free, offstreet parking in a parking garage was an added benefit. Convenient to LAX airport. When I first checked in, they didn't have a room ready for me. It was my fault, seeing as how I checked in three hours early, but they were really accommodating and ended up giving me a room at the Comfort Inn across the parking lot. They said the same company owned all three of the hotels in the parking lot (Candlewood, Comfort, and a Holiday Inn, […] I think) so they just transferred me to the Comfort Inn. I'm going to continue writing this review thinking they probably keep their hotels about the same. My experience was excellent. All of the hotel staff (everyone that I came in contact with at both hotels) were very kind and helpful (and funny!). The beds were amazing and comfortable, and our room was clean. Our TV was excellent, as was our channel selection. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for the price. It made my who weekend very enjoyable. Devamı

THe staff was great, the room was perfect. There is nothing bad about this hotel. I hope they keep up all the same in the future, We will return again and again!!!!!!

Recomiendo este hotel ampliamente, a parte de tener una tarifa bastante solidaria es muy comodo, sus instalaciones son impecables y la atencion es muy buena.

Malgré la situation du quartier qui n’est pas super super jolie (mais correcte) il est génial pour l’aéroport, juste à côté 15 à 20 mn en voiture ce qui est court pour une ville comme L.A. Si vous ne voulez pas vous déplacer pour les repas, vous êtes entourés d’un Mc Do, d’un Burger King et autres petits resto de quartier.

Hotel bom, novo e barato para Los Angeles. A arrumação e uma vez por semana. A localizaçao e boa , pois vo pega o contrafluxo do transito m LA.

en general muy bueno lo recomiendo
